I thought this is a pretty cute boutique before today, the customer service is ridiculous. Me and my boyfriend drove all the way to this store to pickup some gifts for families. Obviously we parked at Space Montrose’s parking spot. We found the “the office” candles would be very cute as a gift. At the same time. We thought we can go get some coffee next door and we can pick up the candles when the way back to the car. So we don’t need to carry the three candles around. When we left the store, the employee stopped us, we were being told that was the only parking spot for their customer, and you need to move your car??? This is ridiculous of the employee. Forget about the candles, I will never enter the store again. Warning, when you park at that “ONLY” spot, Make sure you spend money before you leave the store. Otherwise, you will be told to move your car even if you come back to support their business.

Loved this shop! Lots of really cute jewelry household decorative items. Would recommend stopping by if you’re looking for a Texas themed gift item. This place is NOT tacky like other souvenir shops and has creative tees and stickers as well.

Cool shop for miscellaneous oddities and local flavor. A good place for cards, artistic wear and just browsing through. definitely one of the cleaner spots in Montrose this shop would not be out of place in city center.

I discovered this treasure trove of wonderfulness while on a Wheres Waldo search in local businesses. The store made me feel welcome with an old friend vibe. I felt like an exploring Ariel! There are so many handcrafted cards, pins, jewelry, etc. I bought a Honey Bunny pin and an artisan card. I forgot the name of the staff member, but she was awesomely understanding, and helpful, and kind. I plan to visit again!

Best place to come for gifts. I love their card wall. The owner was very nice! I’ve seen him a couple of times during the height of covid. One evening I was scrambling to get a gift for a new baby and he stayed open to accommodate me due to their earlier closing hours (covid). I will never forget that and continue to be a loyal customer. He also is a super wrapper! Such beautiful presentation. I just picked out my card and he did the rest, I looked so prepared 😇

I remember frequenting Space when it was located around the corner from Brazil. Theyve expanded their space and come a long way. The new shop is bigger and sells more unique items from various artists. The staff and owner are helpful and very friendly. They finally have more designated parking for their shop. Space always has something different and unique for everyone. Best place to shop small business for the best gifts.

If you like to support Houston artists and small business, you’ll enjoy shopping here. Not everything is locally made, but plenty is and I never see fewer than ten things I want to buy! The selection of posters, prints and greeting cards is particularly plentiful, and especially delightful for those with a sense of humor. I tend to head right for the jewelry table, which features a range of prices and styles. This is my favorite shop.

Love this space lol. I came here for a few gifts when I had no idea what to get my partner, and they did not disappoint. The staff was so kind and helped me pick out not only 1 gift, but 3! I will definitely go back especially since it supports our local artists!

Small, eclectic, and local with something for everyone. Great for gifts with lots of love for Houston and Texas, with a major emphasis on locally or small-craft made items, textiles, jewelry, and minutiae. Really dig this place, staff is great and helpful (Justin helped us find a candle we searched everywhere for) and it’s worth multiple visits.

I always find the perfect card here for family and friends and for any occasion.Usually staff is friendly but the lady closing tonight said shed be there for pickup at 6pm and a little later but my boyfriend got there at 5:58pm and all the lights were off and the door was locked. Im disappointed.

Cannot say enough good things about this lovely space! It is a carefully curated, beautiful collection of handmade items from Houston and beyond. The sales staff were very knowledgeable and patient as I carefully reviewed jewelry options. I also love that there are some store-specific parking spaces in the lot behind the store. I was visiting from out of state but will definitely follow the store and their wonderful artists on social media.

Ive been visiting Space for about 5 years, making my first purchase of an art print of Kurt Vonnegut by an Austin artist from the original shop location on Montrose. The owners have always been pleasant and helpful, sharing info about the artists with you at checkout. They carefully curate the stores offerings, and there are always new products to check out with every visit! Its a fantastic place for finding gifts—birthdays, showers, or hostess gifts—or for treating yourself! Love it!

Space Montrose is my FAVORITE place to buy gifts. They have a great selection of handmade in the USA arts and crafts. So many fun art prints (especially Genevive Santos, my favorite!), great and unusual cards, housewares, pottery, jewelry, clothing, and baby stuff! I always find something that I desperately want!

We visited the store and found some of the jewelry to be absolutely stunning. However, some of the artwork was a bit religiously insensitive. There’s no excuse for religious intolerance. We should all be open minded and respectful of the beliefs of others. Additionally, when we didn’t buy anything the store clerk followed us to the parking lot and made us move our car out of their parking spot. This store just puts out bad vibes, wouldn’t recommend it.

This is like an Etsy brick and mortar! Lots of cool handmade artisan items. I would like to see more Houston makers featured, many are from other cities, and i think focusing on local homebrewed art would be ideal.
