I have only experienced fantastic customer service here. I have been there several times with issues with both my Surface Pro and surface book 2. Travis always takes care of me and I leave with everything resolved.SHOPPING TIP: They do price match other stores so do your research proir to going in. They do not price match their website. Figure that one out. Anyway, you can order on line and pick it up in the store the same day. They do have military and student discounts online. They do not offer them in the store.

Drew Ramos was so helpful. He answered all of our questions, and was engaged with providing the best customer service. My surface laptop is over 5 years old and even though I may have to purchase a new computer, Drew was all out trying his best to help out. My husband had questions with his outlook on his phone and he also answered all his questions. Drew was a pleasure to interact with.

I visited the Galleria Microsoft Store because my Surface Pro 4 screen was blurry, I had been previously but the issue was not reproducible at the time. Cash was the tech that greeted me and started on my appointment and Im happy to have had his help. He went above and beyond explaining that the issue I was having was covered by a longer warranty period and that my coverage would have ended in 15 days. He helped me moved my files and get some of my applications set back up. Cant thank him enough for all the help!

I had a problem with my computer and was very well served by very helpful customer support staff. It cost me nothing and the service was excellent. The location is great and easy to access within a shopping mall. There were plenty of game stations within the shop for younger ones to be occupied especially the robot PC. I would go back anytime.

They gentlemen who helped me was very knowledgeable, and it was obvious he knew his stuff. I work IT and can usually tell when someone is blowing smoke. But when someone can pull something I ask for off a shelf in less than 30 sec, that really impressed me. Plus I think its funny that they put this store literally right next to the Apple Store.

Purchased a laptop from Wallace at Microsoft. Wallace was very helpful and helped my daughter start up her laptop. He went over everything we feel she needed to know. I love the fact that they have STEM related programming and classes for kids. Girl Scouts can earn patches after completing classes. I have a Surface Pro and I love it for its versatility and ease of use. The staff if super knowledgeable and helpful. They really encourage you to try out everything!

Im a very happy customer of Microsoft and a fan of the Microsoft Store Galleria.First of all, Ive been taking my children to this store for two summers. Their STEM workshops are very interesting. The last one we attended was making the robotic finger and were scheduled to attend the next one (making seismograph). Then, therere also many other workshops that my kids love from coding camps to making your own business workshop, robotics, designs, etc.Apart from their superb educational events (mostly FREE events), the Microsoft Store Galleria also has an excellent service. They do stand on their product and warranty. I purchased a Surface Pro 4 a little over two years ago with a complete warranty (2 years), but recently my surface died and wont turn on. I brought in the surface to this store (very sadly knowing that my warranty was over a few months ago). They tried to repair it for 2 days to no success, then, over the phone, a technician offer to swap the surface with the same specs for only $450 - still too expensive for my budget. I came to the store to pick up my surface thinking that I would go home with a dead surface. But when a technician went through the pick up process, he said that because my complete warranty just expired few months ago, he will swap my surface with a new one for FREE!!! THANK YOU MICROSOFT!!! THANK YOU MICROSOFT STORE GALLERIA!! THANK YOU BRYANT AGUILAR!!!

People were friendly and knowledgeable, which is where both of the stars come from. There were many, many salespeople, but apparently only one tech working. I had an appointment with the tech, but got put in line with all of the other walk ins. They did not see me until half an hour after my appointment, when I was early. The tech was working diligently, and some of the salespeople did the best they could to help, but the management really screwed up on that one. In a larger matter, there should be more than one Microsoft store in Houston. The next closest one is in Texas City or some other industrial wasteland. I wish I had driven there instead. The Galleria is a human cesspool surrounded by an impassible parking lot of streets. Please, for the love of human decency, build a store somewhere accessible.

The staff is super friendly and the customer service is amazing. Even when the store got busy, folks working there were smiling, cooperative and very informative.My kids loved playing on Xbox, VR and interacting with the cure robot at the entrance. However, just need to be careful with the gaming ROG chairs. The moment you tip forward, the chair collapses.The moment, Wallace, a Microsoft Champ working at the store, asked what is the device going to be used for, I knew i was working with the right guy. He didnt try to up-sell my wife and walked through pros and cons of different models. He also helped bundle up the device with amazing accessories, gave free consultation and went all the way to setup Office and boot up the device. This just made my day. No one goes this length at any electronic store i know of.I never realized this store has an active community and there are classes, entrepreneur shops and gaming parties.I couldnt have imagined my purchase of a Surface pro to go any smoother. I loved the experience.

I always get good quality and fast service, not to mention the staff is friendly and patient in answering all my questions. This review is for going physically in store. Just bought a laptop. Service is incredible, I ended up getting a different model that originally intended, and am very happy with the suggestion of the associate. Stephanie and Keith, thank you for making my day, and for all of the helpful assistance. Go in store, you will be able to see different models, and they are very knowledgeable.To those of you who call the store, you are actually calling a call center called retail support center. They are not as helpful and you may hang up frustrated. They are separate from the store and are not even located here. This is not the stores fault, save yourself the hassle and go in store.

If I could give zero stars, I would. The phone number doesnt go to the actual store. If you create a ticket online, it goes to India and then the store cant access or do anything with the ticket created by the India team because they are separate companies.When you call the India office again to cancel the ticket so the actual store can help you, only the person who opened the ticket can cancel the ticket. So if that person is on vacation, you actually have to wait for them to came back to the office to do anything on the ticket.Now on to the actual Surface. The first one I had had phantom touches which means it does whatever it wants. It clicks things on its own. My screen jumped around and things were randomly pasted where they shouldnt be.The battery life is nothing like advertised. On airplane mode, with everything closed except Microsoft word, the max battery I every got was 6 hrs. When using it like a normal person, the battery is between 2-4 hours.I just replaced my surface under the accidental replacement coverage and the USB port doesnt work. In addition, random things activate on their own, like the volume control. The volume control was on for a full 24 hours with no way to exit or turn it off.In addition, the people in the store didnt know what was going on. One person said a replacement was on a shipment truck and when I went back to see if it had arrived, a second person said there was no way to know what was on the shipment trip. One person said it would take 2-3 days, including weekends to get the order and another said 4-5 business days (excluding weekends) to receive a new computer.Extremely frustrated. For how expensive the surface is, Im very disappointed.

I was interested in the Surface Pro 3. I read well over 30 reviews and went to the Microsoft Store in the Galleria. Lots of friendly & knowledgeable staff on hand to answer all my questions! I met Jasmine and she showed me the Pro 3, asked about my business and wanted to introduce to Frank Hammon, their business sales specialist. He immediately impressed me. I knew he was busy, yet he spent a half hour with me answering some additional questions I had.He suggested I do my due diligence, and check out the competition. I went to BB and had a hard time finding someone to help me. I decided to return to The Microsoft Store and knew that was where I wanted to purchase the Surface Pro 3. The service is very good after the sale!I have referred several of my friends to go there and they thanked me for the great tip!Always appreciative of a great buying experience!

I love the fact that they let you download games,but there’s a problem when you try to play some games for example fortnite. employees will tell you we only let you play this game on friday’s. After purchasing a new laptop at The Microsoft Store, Mike, the tech from the store worked hard to help me to set up emails and Microsoft accounts on the new computer, .with new passwords for Microsoft and Outlook 365 ( Even Go Daddy, and Google). Kasey, the sales person was a pleasure to work with and answered all of my questions with a smile, and the store Manager Robert was incredibly helpful in helping me with my extended warranty. Do purchase an extended warranty it is always worth it!Amazing customer service. This is my fourth computer purchased from the Microsoft store over the last few years.... they are THE BEST!I can not recommend them highly enough.

Excellent service and staff. I came in because I was interested in a Surface Pro 3 and everything was covered in detail before I made my purchase. I had to call my credit card company to authorize the transaction and the staff provided a phone charger since mine was low and I never felt like there was a rush.Edit: 4 months later I had a bicycle accident which broke the screen and the great staff here swapped out my surface with another unit as per the warranty. I was in and out in about 15 minutes and ready to go, this time with a heavy duty case for when Im cycling.

Brought in a surface power cable that had an issue. I told them the issue and they grabbed me a new cable. I didnt gave to go through the hassle of a proof of purchase or anything, which is good since it is a corporate device. I went right when they opened, so I had to wait a few minutes behind the people that rushed in the door.

Terrible service! I bought a Surface 4 Pro, bundled package with OFFICE 365, but the computer does not automatically include the software. Unlike Apple, you have to download yourself or in the case of Microsoft, they will download it at the store, but it took so long - over an hour - that I had to leave the computer there and pick it later. When I picked it up, there was no power cord included. They must have left it plugged in. When I called the store, the phone number given online connected me to someone international, based on the accent. There is no way to call the store directly. Finally, I had to order a new power cord online. I completely regret my purchase.

I really enjoyed my visit to the Microsoft store in the Gallaria. The people greeted me and kept on about their business. There were no salespersons hounding me. When I was ready top make my purchase, I approached a kind young lady and she was more than happy to help me. The experience was quick and simple. So much so, that I felt that should hang around a little longer for filler. Great experience all around. I saw some poor reviews and was a little apprehensive, but it was great. Keep it up guys.

Not Pleased with the lack of customer service. First experience in the store we were greeted by Wallace very knowledgeable, helpful, offered advice and alternatives. Next visit Wallace wasnt in, had to deal with Mitch, he was not informed had to refer to a manger. When asked why prices on line and at the store were different he said show me which we did and then he said well that is a bundle price. Which it wasnt! We order 3 computers which were not in stock so had to be ordered. When we went to pick the first one up it was the wrong color, not a big deal, but his response was well do you want it? He placed the computer in a bag and said its easy to use.

Not the same Microsoft store it used to be. Especially since it moved locations to compete directly with the Apple store next door to it.They used to hold video game lock ins and other events here, now you are lucky if they have a sale on Xbox games that you cant already find for cheaper at GameStop, other retailers, online, or on the Xbox store themselves.Only come here if you are trying to get a specific item that is sold exclusively from here such as a Surface Tablet, an Xbox One X, or a Windows Phone (of they still offer that discontinued tech).

I had worst customer service ever with their Services Advisor throughout a phone call. I got to help by the technician the other day when I walked in-store with a screen flicker issue for surface pro 4. After the visit, the technician gave me the number for Services Advisor to get my shipping label done. By the time I called, there was a lady spending more than 3 times asking me who was the technician who helped me without solving my current issue. and giving me advices to walk into store to get help. After I spent more than 3 times asking her to look up my information and the report, she finally helped me to transfer the call. (What a hard call to help me transfer LOL)First, her speaking manner is way out of a phone call service supposed to be.Second, if she was trying to find out the problem from the in-store staff, she shouldnt unprofessionally consult with customers who are in needs of the help.Third, she shouldnt ignore the question and issues customers have.These are overall small issues but it revealed how unprofessionally the lady handled it, which is the biggest minus if you are working as a service advisor. Period.

There was a minor error in my purchase at Microsoft. I brought my laptop back to Microsoft to fix the error, and Chris, the manager, was amazing in resolving the problem. It was difficult to fix the error but Chris bent over backwards to resolve everything and then some when taking care of the issue. The customer service here blows any other tech store, specifically Apple, out of the water. Chris and the rest of the employees that helped definitely deserve a raise for their customer service. Thank you Chris for making it worth my while. I will definitely be returning to Microsoft to buy any technology in the future.

The store has perpetuated a year and half problem without a resolution, they hide using the social/political correctness not to render service or if they do, they create more problems. My laptop does not turn on now, after several times asking for the store, they created a much bigger problem regardless they had specifications from online technical support. They are rude, unsymphatetic, they do not care. Do not buy anything from there because you will be screwed.

My Xbox One X developed the black screen of death. It was probably issues with the HDD. I knew Id have to send it in for Microsoft to either fix or replace. I live 5 minutes from the Galleria, and thought Id give the store a chance to see if they could provide a replacement as it was still under warranty. Reps outside were friendly and welcoming. I explained my problem, and they set me up an appointment with a specialist. I only had to wait about 15 minutes before I was seen. I explained the problem, and we plugged my X1 in to test it. She confirmed it needed repairs. I asked if I could have a replacement and about another 10-15 minutes goes by, and she brought out a refurbished system for me. $0 cost as it was under warranty. I was in and out in around 45 minutes probably. I went home and started playing my games as if nothing happened. Great customer service from Microsoft. Definitely go here first if you have any problems with their products. It was only my 2nd problem with an Xbox system in 10 years.

Bloody terrible. Called back to ask for a copy of my receipt. The guy picking up the phone had the worst attitude I have ever experienced from any customer service representatives. The guy cant speak clearly, doesnt even speak complete sentences, sounds like he doesnt even care, and could not find my record in his system. When I asked what additional information he needs to locate that purchase history, he never gave a proper answer. Wish I could give negative star. Very disappointed. By the way, the guy picking up the phone was not from a call center. The people from call centers were pretty nice.

Have had terrible service with a terrible product. First, I have had my LTE Surface 3 since April 20, 2016 and had to have it replaced 3 months later due to faulty equipment. I brought it in and waited for it. I was out of town when I got the call that my replacement tablet was in. I went in Wednesday, got my new tablet. Started having issues with the touch screen immediately, had to use my pen (luckily I had one). Thursday I turned off my tablet, went to turn it on again and lo and behold the thing locked up. I called customer support and they couldnt help me, so he made me an appointment at my local Galleria store. The appointment was for 11:30, I didnt even get seen until 12:00. The tech was nice enough, but he couldnt fix my issue after about another 1 and 1/2 hours of trying, so I left it there to be fixed overnight. I did tell him that I wouldnt be able to pick it up over the weekend. He stated that he would have to re-install a clean version of my operating system (Windows 10) and he would call to let me know to pick it up. I had to call the store on Monday (today) and then I was told that there were dead spots on the touchscreen which wouldnt allow me to use it. She said that it would have to be sent in for a replacement again! I wanted to upgrade and was told that they couldnt do it because it had to be sent back and then the repair center would tell them if I could upgrade. What? Since when can I not get a newer product if Im willing to spend the money? This is the worst tech experience Ive ever had, from staff to product!

I had a terrible experience at this store. I bought a computer and came back to return it to only have the staff give me attitude. The person who helped me facetiously joked about how I needed a receipt, which was funny to him and not at all to me. The manager also gave me attitude. I could hear them talking about my transaction while I was there in front of them. The whole entire store just seemed unorganized and unprofessional. I suggest going to another store who has better service.

DQ and K. So are amazing. My laptop had some hardware issues so I brought it to be replaced under their Microsoft Complete warranty. They had to ship me a replacement because they were out of stock. They promptly sent me an email saying it arrived. The exchange process was seamless and I left with a brand new 100% functioning laptop AND we were able to renew my extended warranty. They are more than welcome to help you and I left completely satisfied. Look for DQ and K So., theyre great. Also, get their Complete Warranty- it covers up to 2 years and accidental damage protection. Its worth it!

Have a 1st gen Microsoft Band that is falling apart after 6 months. They know it is poor build quality but were unwilling to exchange in the store. One of my favorite electronic stores,Microsoft as a brand has won me over with their retail store,from the Windows PCs and Phones ; And the xBox Kiosks. You have to see all of these devices side by side to truly appreachiate what MS has done with tech and converged how we work and play today as a whole. They tend to get eclipsed by Apple and Google, but having a retail outlet does the brand wonders. Google and Amazon could learn a thing or two about that. Bravo.

Worst store ever and worst surface book ever. I bought the surface book 2 about a year and a 1/2 ago. This is my most expensive buy after buying 4 surfaces surface within 3 years. I came in because for some reason the surface keyboard was not working. They were not only not helpful in fixing my problem they turn me off from buying Microsoft product in general. Never again will I be fooled by the crappy product and crappy service Microsoft

My family attended kids workshop at Microsoft Store in Houston Galleria.We attended Family Night event, which is described in the website that they provide some fun and educational activities, such as playing some games together and make some funny code and so on, and presenting some prizes. However, they did not prepare anything and they said Family Night event is just experiencing the store. That was it. They literally did not provide any single thing. I was angry but just left the store.But today, My kids attended a coding workshop about OhBot stuff. After 30 minutes, OhBot was broken and did not respond anything. My 10 year old son asked the teacher to replace it, but he did not. Anyway, my son just practiced coding without running it, and the teacher closed the event at 12:10 which is actually supposed to end at 1:00. My son was VERY disappointed and got angry. When I tried to talk to teacher, he just ignored me and talked to other people leaving the kids without any attention.

Calling up to the store to talk to someone is difficult. If its 15 minutes till close dont expect an answer. If you call during the day expect to be put immediately on hold for a minimum of 5 minutes. The store itself is nice. They have devices and hardware from 3rd party companies like Dell/ Alienware and other OEM companys who are using their operating systems.

I have an Xbox 360 console that I had for slightly over a year now. The disc drive keeps messing up my game discs by scratching it until unreadable. Chatting with the support team was a water of time because they dont even offer a complemtary replacement or any help. All they do is tell you to register your device and apply for a replacement which costs $100. This company cant even admit when they have faulty and defective products that get hacked easily.

Though i dont use many windows products, I enjoy just walking through the store just to see whats offered. They are friendly and usually are able to have a great debate about Apple products lol (all fun and games)
