This place is Houstons best source for electronic components. They also have test equipment. They have everything from used to new under one roof. The employees here are always helpful and very knowledgeable. I have been a customer for many, many years.Their prices are always fair and reasonable.Today, I only got a relay switch.

Honestly, great place with wonderfully helpful and knowledgeable people. I stopped in to get supplies to repair small cut wires in a car seat. With limited knowledge and experience doing this I thought that I would solder the small wires to resplice them and cover in shrink tubing. I told the sales person my problem and he showed me some really cool options from heat shrink with solder in it that melts with a heat gun to single small crimps. Ended up going the cheaper route and even left with a fun new tool! Thanks to everyone there for making this a wonderful experience.

As an electronic technician they have the standard parts needed for most repairs. They and other parts houses in town should really consider carrying more surface mount parts.

If youre in need of electronics parts, this is your one-stop-shop. Theyve got everything from flashlights, to soldering irons/accessories, to shrink wrap, to carrying cases. Of course they have electric wire, cutting tools, etc as well. The folks are the desk are super friendly and will order something if they dont have it in stock. Anytime I go in there I find what I need and checkout is a breeze. I would definitely recommend stopping in.

Had a problem seating a tiny connector on a dog tracking collar. Desk help dove right in and had me out of there in 5 mins. I offered to pay for the work, but was sent on my way. I shop here several times a year and they always have everything I need and sage advice if Im a bit stuck.

Today was my first visit. Im modifying some electronic drums and needed some parts. This was quicker than ordering online and so much better than Radio Shack ever was. The store had the parts I needed and friendly staff.

Wish the store was open on Saturday. I understand that the store primarily serves a commercial clientele and would not exist otherwise. I believe the hobbyist can benefit from their vast selection as well. There is no alternative other than mail order from the internet. I do recommend you bring your notes or pad device to find parts to match your project. You will find compatible parts, enclosures, spacers, etc.

They laid about inventory to sale it in higher price .I purchased online but they refuse to provide it .and it was their mostake and even they charged for shipping of sending few items .It is last time purxhase from this jerk store.I will use digikey and Moser

Needed quite a variation of parts, they had everything I expected they would, there was a very specific bulb, but they cant be expected to stock every bulb ever made, the help was effective, they expect you to have some level of knowledge of what you want, which I understand. I ended up having to come back because I did not know one variable about a part ( A/C vs D/C ) but at least I was informed that the part was non refundable if I bought it. Turned out the product he suggested was the one I needed anyway.The layout of the store is tricky to learn, its small but so are the parts, there are signs, and everything if grouped well. I will go back, I read the previous reviews, I think some people who weighed in may have been expecting the type of service you get at best buy, people just walking around to help, its a small business, the people who help you also ring you up, pull stock, and do research for people, so if there are 9 people in line you might have to wait 2-5 minutes, get over it.

I have been going to this parts store off and on since 1997. Every time I go, I remember why I avoid this place. The people who work in this store are very rude. None of them should be working in a customer facing position. Not one possess’ even basic customer service skills. Everyone I speak to seems irritated and acts like I am bothering them. I put up with all that just so they could sell me the wrong part and charge me 15% to take it back. And then act like they are doing me a favor. It’s not a coincidence most of these reviews are negative. If you can find what you need elsewhere, I would suggest you get it there. Unless you like being treated poorly. I’m done with Ace Electronics.

I find this store to be a hit or miss with customer help. The older gentleman that works there(owner?) has never really been that courteous to me. I imagine that might be because of my age the way I dress. Usually Im in there when its outlandishly hot outside, so I dress very casually with flip flops and Hawaiian pants. I have asked this man several questions over may trips and every time he is no help at all, and rude.However that is just one man, the store still has the best selection of parts around and all the other employees are friendly and helpful.Love the store, but if you are young just ask one of the younger to middle-aged employees for help when you go.

Houston is lucky to have a real live electronics parts house like this one. This is an old fashioned parts house and some skills are assumed by the employees. There are very few places like this left in business nationally and this place is very well stocked. It saves a fortune in shipping and hassle compared to the mail order places. If you repair or build this is your place. Comparing a place like this to Frys is not fair. Not hard drives, etc.

Excellent customer service. I called Gordon regarding the power switch to my air compressor. As a tire shop I was completely stalled without a compressor. I called Gordon, he asked me to email him a picture of the part and told me to come on in cuz he was sure he had the part.I went in with the part and he found the part for me. I paid $32 for a part that was costing me $166 elsewhere and would have had to be shipped and cost an additional $50 for shipping. they really helped me out of a bind. and they are technically educated and know their stuff. im so glad I found them after calling about 9 different places.

Ace electronics sold me a defective ps3 deck on ebay and ebay removed my feedback so i figured i would leave it here. ace electronics sent me a defective deck and refused to refund or even send back the deck i sent back to them. these guys are a pain to deal with and are nothing more than a group of scammers. oh, and by the way, the laser was not new like the listing said it was, it was clearly a used deck with a new laser assembly

This store is well laid out and the inventory is well-maintained. All the stock is clearly labelled and well-organized. My hobby is DIY loud speaker building and I was looking for the parts needed to build crossover circuits. So I was happy to see a good selection of non-polar electrolytic capacitors ranging from less than one to a few tens of microfarads. Likewise a good selection of 5-watt resistors in the range of less than one to a few tens of ohms. Prices are very reasonable.I was disappointed that they dont have inductors in the range of a few millihenrys, but they do have the magnet wire youll need to wind your own. I bought a one-pound spool of 20 ga for less than $20.I had no problems with the customer service.

I have been a returning customer at this store for a few years now; however, I will never go back to this store again. The customer service has been absolutely terrible since my second visit. An earlier review states that ACE is either a hit or a miss when it comes to customer service. They are completely correct, but for the most part it is a miss. For example, I went into ACE Electronics today to purchase a couple of 3.5mm stereo connectors and a XLR/TS impedance transformer. I could not find the transformer, so I asked for assistance. The employees were extremely rude and started to talk amongst each other while I was halfway into asking my question; furthermore, when they finally acknowledged my questions, most of the employers answered my detailed questions with non-detailed, single word answers (yes, or no) before walking away. If you get irritated by unprofessional businesses and bad customer service, avoid this store at all costs!
