I was replacing three single pane windows from 1928 with impact windows. The ordering process was pretty smooth and salesman was good. The production time was nearly 12 weeks, but really it felt much longer. When it came time to do the installation, I got a call that morning that one of the three windows either came broken from the factory or it was damaged during shipping. My first reaction was...how does this happen to an impact window?? Is this a product that I can trust? I asked the supervisor why the windows were not inspected upon their arrival only to be told that they didnt have the time nor manpower to inspect everything that is delivered. In my experience, every place that I have ever worked, always had an inspection protocol for receiving. Its mind boggling to me that a company would not take the time to perform this critical step. Now a replacement has to be ordered and even as a rush order, were looking at another six weeks. So overall, Im pretty disappointed with the whole thing. Im paying monthly for windows that have yet to even be installed. Now were in the height of hurricane season and I was hoping that by getting these ordered early, Id be covered.Three stars at this point is being generous, but I will have to reserve my final rating for after the installation is completed.

After I agreed to pay Gulf Coast a fortune, Gulf Coasts installation team abandoned their window and glass door project before completion leaving me to pray it does not rain. Because of their poor planning and lack of professionalism, on day two of what was supposed to be an eight hour project(one day), the responsible team left my homes windows and doors open to the elements. Their excuse: the project was too difficult and the materials were wrong. Mind you, this was well into the project after their demolition which followed their purchase and assembly of materials which they custom designed from their own inspection, measurement, and on site sales. Ive posted some photos to educate you, their next customer. When the project became troublesome, I tried multiple times to call the company. All I got was an answering service who either could not or would not help us. Their only solution: they would have someone call me back. After I repeatedly called the Gulf Coast salesmans cell phone, he finally called me back. The salesman who agreed on behalf of the company that they would perform their contract has now assured me that the leaders of the company will make this right. I hope they do, so I can post a satisfactory update to this review. In the mean time, Ill keep praying the weather doesnt destroy my home.

I attempted to use this business, but they failed to keep the consultation appointment as scheduled. Unfortunately, I took time off from work to meet the window consultant at my home in the middle of the day and nobody showed up despite booking an appointment with them to meet me. Inconsiderate of my time. Of course, they offered to reschedule the consultation; but, if they cant even get the first meeting done correctly, then how can I trust that the install will be managed any better? In summary, I am extremely disappointed.

I am currently in the market for new windows. Gulf Coast is a well known company in the area, so I figured I would get a quote from them. With the whole pandemic going on, I measured the windows and met with them via phone. The sales rep would not send an actual quote for me to review with the specs of what is to be installed and the details on the cost unless I would sign right then and there. All he did do was send an e-mail stating Gulf Coast will install 16 windows with white frames, double pane, heat reflecting glass for X cost. That was the first major red flag. All of the other companies sent detailed quotes on company forms, not just a basic e-mail!The second was that he was using an AOL (yes, America Online!) email address to communicate instead of a company address. That seems very strange.Their quote was also about $10,000 higher than the other 3 quotes I have received for windows with similar specs.

Not sure what has happened to this company. We had all our windows replaced with hurricane resistant glass and life time warranty.. One window has cracked twice. It was blamed on lawn crew mowing our porch area...until I pointed out we dont have a lawn crew. Why? We have artificial turf !!!!Each time, for our life time warranty, we are charged $75. To even get them to come out is a miracle.

Consumer Beware!UPDATE 7/28/2021 Gulf coast windows has commented that this is being handled. I would really like to know how they are handling it since I have heard NOTHING from them since my last attempt at finding a solution. At that time I requested that all correspondence be through email so we would avoid any miscommunication, and they never responded! We had a few companies come out to quote us on replacing 12 windows with hurricane windows. During our first meeting with Gulf Coast, we discussed the types of windows we want. After meeting with a few other companies and questioning a couple family members about their experience with Gulf Coast, even though their quote was a bit higher than the other company, we decided to go with them. (Thinking they were a reputable, trustworthy company) On our second visit with Andy we discussed our order once again and signed a contract. The price quote was just over $20k but with a cash discount we had a contract price of around 16K. The contract we signed stated that we would be receiving Performer III windows. Two Storm Force and 10 Max Force. Their website clearly describes the Performer III as Our Performer III hurricane windows are not only strong enough to avoid being damaged by a powerful Category 5 storm, but these cutting-edge hurricane replacement windows also offer the very best in terms of: IMPACT RESISTANCE.... INTRUDER RESISTANCE...ENERGY EFFICIENCY.On installation day the crew showed up and began installation. They were very courteous and made efforts to keep their workplaces clean. When my husband arrived home from work they were still working on the first side of the house. I asked him how we would know if these windows matched what we ordered. After looking at the windows he discovered that they were Wincore 5400 series. Research showed us that these are a regular replacement window and DO NOT match the description of Performer III on the Gulf Coast Website or what we wanted and signed a contract agreeing to. We immediately made contact with Gulf Coast Windows to get answers. After speaking to our sales rep and managers it was explained to us that because the box next to laminated security glass was not checked on our contract that we declined impact glass and that because customer will supply plywood was written in, that means we will not have impact glass. Our initial discussions with the sales rep indicated that supplying plywood was what we needed to do to pass a windstorm inspection for the max force series windows (the less expensive of the Performer III). We have yet to get answers to our questions, or an itemized invoice of what exactly we were charged for. In emails our sales rep has stated that it is not my responsibility if you do not know your windstorm requirement for your area and Gulf Coast Windows can name or label their windows as they choose. The employees have been nothing but rude, pushy and disrespectful. To our family, 16k is a large amount of money. We originally put our trust into this company to provide the service and product that would be worth such an investment, I am disappointed in both and would not recommend this company to anyone looking for new or replacement windows.

I was very surprised that the first visit and install took less than a month. The windows are beautiful, great quality and look fantastic. The employees that did it he install did a great job and were very knowledgeable of their job.The only problem we had is that we had three windows designed for our laundry room. Upon delivery, two of those windows showed up were cracked. We were not too upset as they are not of the main windows. The installers took them out of their packaging and noticed them. Three days later a rep at Gulf Coast informed me that they would be replaced and were in the works of being made as we spoke.Aside from the two damaged windows mentioned above, I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to purchase new windows. They left over half of the staples all in my walls -half clean up job3. After several months, the screens started popping out. When you pay as much as we did for these, this should not happen.I really wish we had gone with another company, especially due to the cost of these and the quality they have been. I bought a house full of windows from them about 4 years ago and have generally been happy with them until we noticed some mold on one of the walls. My wife checked the windows and noticed the bottoms of the windows werent caulked properly. We called Gulf Coast and they sent a technician out only to tell us that our weep holes were clogged. Totally wrong answer because if that were the case, the water would drained over the sill and not into the wall. Unfortunately, I wasnt home to call this technician for an incorrect answer. Now my house has mold and these people wont take responsibility. To add insult to injury, they charged us $75 to come out and deny their responsibility.Edit: notice their reply and how they refuse to take responsibility. I have since completed the reconstruction and remediation of the mold and can confirm that no caulking was placed on the bottom of the 4 windows in question. 3 sides of the window had nearly perfect caulking and the bottoms were missing. I spend about ~$600 in materials and 30 hours labor to repair this (excluding exterior painting).

So far, I am very disappointed in this company, and the job is not even completed. Jeffery came out in early October to sell us the windows. We already knew that we wanted Gulf Coast to do our windows because of the reviews and the radio endorsements. He was a very good salesman, but I think that is where the quality stopped. We had many issues with someone coming to even measure the windows. We call twice and left messages with Nichole for updates on measurements. Finally the next week someone called us back and was shocked that the measurements hadnt been done yet. The measurements were taken and the deposit was given to them on 10/29/19. It took them until 11/4/19 to cash the check, and we havent heard back from them since. We texted Jeffery last week with no response. I called yesterday and left a message. I was assured by the person answering the phone that someone would call me back first thing in the morning. I have yet to receive a phone call.I would just like an update on my windows. I am getting my siding done right after the windows. I had hoped that all of this would be done before December 21st, but with Gulf Coast providing such poor customer service and leaving me in the dark, I fear that it will not get done.If no one calls me by the end of the week, I will look into getting refund and going with another company that actually has customer service and wants to make money. I am sure that the owner and founder of this company did not stay in business this long with such substandard customer service.

The salesman sold us on features that were not even available in the color window that we ordered. He also said that they could be installed in 1 day and over the weekend (which was not true). We paid $4000 extra for bronze windows only to find that they are actually painted bronze not manufactured that way. The manufacturing was okay - some windows were a little off balance and the paint job was a little sloppy with bronze paint visible from the inside of the window. We ordered in June and were told theyd be installed on August 16. August 16 rolled around and we had not received any notification about the windows. We called and were told they were back ordered but they would put a rush on them. They were ready for installation September 5 or so. They arrived and two of our windows were manufactured in the wrong color (white, not bronze) but it wasnt discovered until AFTER they had removed that particular window. We were told it was a data entry error. So right now we have two different colored windows on the front of our home (HOA is thrilled). The installation team (Anthony) was amazing and did a great job. They were very knowledgeable about the products and were able to explain why the features the sales guy told us we could have were unavailable. They did their best to install our windows, despite a week full of heavy rain. When they left, everything was clean and just as it was when they arrived The installation crew saved this review, otherwise it would have been 2 stars. The windows seem to be great quality and do what they are supposed to do as double pane windows. My biggest complaint is that no one told us that we would be loosing a substantial amount of room on our window sills with the installation. We purchased custom blinds about 3 years prior and now cant even use them because there is not enough room to mount them inside the window. So now, in addition to the giant window bill, we have to purchase new custom blinds at several hundred dollars per window.

I must say that Gulf Coast Windows proved their claims when our AC went out shortly after installation. The house was built in 1986 and still had the original windows and we recently inherited the home from my parents. To say the house is in dire need of some TLC is an extreme understatement. We figured that the windows would be the best initial investment to help lower the cost of heating and cooling. The price may be a bit steep but you get what you pay for certainly applies in this instance. It was about a week after the install and the cooling fan motor seized up. The upstairs has always been much hotter than the rest of the house, however, it was much cooler after the install, even without the AC. 4 days with no AC but the temps were significantly cooler than theyd ever been, especially considering the outside temps were nearing 100 degrees every day.The house also had significant damage to the windows due to improper maintenance, weathering such as Hurricane Ike, and general aging after all these years. Not only did they replace the windows but the installers, of whom were very professional, informative, and courteous, also fixed the trim around 2 very large bay windows that were literally going to fall out of the house at any time. They also ensured that those bay windows had support until we can install the proper supports for them. The entire experience was quite pleasant from the initial quote to the completion of installation. I would highly recommend Gulf Coast Windows for the professionalism and quality of workmanship.

One call was at 9:00am and they had just left for lunch. It took from April to July to have one window sash replaced and even then the replacement appointment was missed by 6 hours.DO NOT RECOMMEND

I had 18 windows and 3 patio doors replaced by Gilt Coast Windows. They did a good job of keeping the dust minimized. One window had a manufacturing defect which required the one of the sections be replaced. That required about 4 months to complete. I have had a number of people comment on how good the new windows look.Ron Taylor

Weve had our windows for several months and absolutely love them. Our house stays more comfortable in both hot and cold weather. The glass is so crystal clear its like there is no windows at all! Gary, our sales rep, explained everything in great detail and answered all our questions before we had a chance to ask them. Robert and his installation crew did a great job installing AND cleaning the work area. We have some very large fixed pane windows with odd trapezoid shapes. I was amazed at how well the installation went. We couldnt be more pleased.

I began the daunting task of choosing replacement windows at Gulf Coast Windows. I was grateful to Jeff who showed me my options and explained the construction variations and performance expectations. He spent a lot of time answering my questions and I appreciated his patience in making sure I would choose the right windows for the house. I look forward to doing business with this company. Thank you, GC!

My widows were installed by Golf Coast Windows 12 years ago. I have had nothing but excellent service and very nice employees. The windows greatly improved our house insulation by keeping the house cool in the Summer and warm in the Winter. The windows are filled by a special inert gas that help insulate the house.

This is a review of my encounter with the salesperson from Gulf Coast windows. We chose not to purchase replacement windows from them. The man showed up exactly on time and was professionally dressed and wore a Gulf Coast Windows name badge. He spent approximately an hour and a half at our home measuring and giving us his sales pitch which was very thorough, which I very much enjoyed. He was pleasant to speak with and very knowledgeable about his product. He answered all of the questions that we had. We needed 9 windows in our 1500 square foot home and the price was around $14,000 with a few discounts they were offering. They offer a composite frame window that is touted as the best material for windows according to all the window companies that sell composite windows. He even went so far as to heat up a piece of the competitions vinyl frame with a hair dryer to show how it collapses with exposure to heat. I would be willing to bet that anything would collapse after being held an inch away from a hair dryer. The companies that sell composite framed windows spend quite a bit of time talking bad about other companies window materials. Just an observation. But I digress. They offered a lifetime warranty on the windows. So far, every company that has come to my home has almost identical warranties. Gulf Coast not the highest bid that we got but not the lower either. My thought is, that if every company warranties their windows mostly the same why pay more for a premium frame material?

Sales call was a bit high pressured and didnt leave me with a happy feeling (can you think of a time spending this much money leaves you with a happy feeling?). But I was happy with installation. It took the crew 2.5 days to replace virtually every window (30+) in our house. They were very professional and clean, considering the job they did. I had an issue after installation with screens that was rectified after a few phone calls and emails. I would recommend this company.

Please use any other window installer. First of all, they are incredibly more expensive than their competitors, but we chose them anyway because of their warranty and claims of great service. Lies. They failed to make any appointment at our house on time, even arriving on the wrong day, never called when they said they would, and then installed the windows incorrectly - breaking bricks on our home and cracking the windows. They did reinstall them, but it necessitated multiple extra days off of work to meet inspectors, and installers who when they didnt show up on the right day or time required additional rescheduling and more days off. We have lost not only the money we paid them, but are now out of money from work too. We simply asked for a 20% refund and that was it (I thought that was exceedingly generous on my part) to accommodate for lost wages, lost time and the inconvenience but they have said no. The contract protects them, or so they say, after 6 months of delaying us, 6 months of claiming they would make it right, and then asking we send a detailed letter so they could make a determination. They then magically claim the contract protects them from liability, yes, but within reasonable limits - this is not reasonable and they have admitted that. Additionally, they nullified the contract by not upholding their end - the contract states they will only send qualified and trained craftsmen (clearly they didnt because they would have done it right the first time), and that they would be on time (clearly they werent). So thousands of dollars later, we lost even more money than we should have. So use any other company! Seriously, note the number of negative comments on EVERY site - Facebook, Google, Yelp, choose any of them and note how everyone is having a similar experience!I see the response from the owner, a few months later, but I am not submitting my address or phone number on such a public forum. Please let me know how I can be in touch with you directly, such as if I call your office, will they connect me to you? I tried that previously, you see, and it got me no where as I was told that the owner would not get involved in an individual account issue. But if you are now telling me that I can call your regular number and you will actually help address this problem, I would be happy to do so.

I purchased 9 hurricane-rated windows from Gulf Coast. The salesman came to our house and brought samples of the windows. There was no pressure to purchase but there are incentives. We did our homework before so decided to purchase while he was there. The windows arrived about 6 weeks later. Frank, the installer, called to set up an appointment. He and his team were amazing. They came when they said and finished when they said. They sealed off each window on the inside so the inside of the house stayed clean. They kept everything clean and picked up outside as well. When the work was complete, Frank showed us how the windows work and who to call if there were any issues. The engineering inspector came out the next day and found no issues. A few weeks later we received our insurance certification. Although these windows are expensive, they are very appealing, energy efficient and block outside noise. We have been very pleased with our purchase.

The salesman that came out convinced met that the frames on their windows were a lot smaller than their competitors and were of much higher quality. I decided to only replace half the windows now because the cost was so much greater. The windows installed by Gulf Coast Windows have HUGE frames that look horrible, and now I am having to have someone come out and re-frame around the windows upstairs because the paint and wood was severely damaged during installation. I spoke with the general manager and he says I have no recourse because I signed the completion certificate when they finished the installation. I told him it was dark when they finished and did not get a chance to inspect until the following day. I paid $7,125 for 6 windows when other companies had quoted me less to do all of my windows.

We purchased windows from Gulf Coast two years ago. They use high pressure sales techniques. Dont think someone will simply come over, take some measurements and give you a quote. Theyll bring their suitcases inside your home, put on their sales tactics and attempt to wear you down, like car dealers do.Their lead paint surcharge is total rubbish. Their guys supposedly tested out paint from the outside of the house, yet there was no paint on or around our existing windows which were framed up against brick veneer. Read the EPA requirements for remodeling your home if it does have lead paint. Not saying you shouldnt take some precautions, but Gulf Coast makes it sound like your house has to be tented in plastic like the scientist did on the movie E.T.Gulf Coasts windows however are amazing. They are a little pricey and Im not sure its worth the extra amount now that I have some other similar windows from other companies. I just dont like feeling like Im dealing with a car dealership when shopping for windows.

They have a great product and are likely the most expensive in the market. We have lots of windows and wanted a quality product and expert installation. Those components we received but everything in between was the biggest frustration Ive experienced in my adult life and Im not young. The first salesperson they sent to our home was so pushy and arrogant we refused to allow him back on our property. The next person was very nice but totally unreliable in responding to phone calls, emails, or carrier pigeons. It took us 2 months and calls to the company owners office to get copies of our contract. We purchased over $50k of windows in April and the installation was finally completed in October....really!I cant believe they would ask us to share our experience. Had it not been for the efforts of an assistant to Mr. Fiume I doubt it would have been completed at all. And dont bother trying to talk to Mr. Fiume about your problems. He is obviously disinterested in customers once the contract is signed.

Great product and great installation. Poor customer service and lack of communication. Took longer than I was told to install. No one contacted me throughout the process. This is a fantastic company. Their customer service is second to none and their windows are beyond amazing. I thought the seal was broken on two of my windows after two very serious hail storms. My entire neighborhood was getting roof and window replacements. It sounded like a machine gun was pummeling my windows. I had what I thought was condensation between the panes so I called customer service. Doug got right back to me, but since I mentioned that both windows were right in front of a birdbath, he kindly asked me to just try some calcium remover first. Sure enough, thats all it was. So not only were they ready to send someone immediately to fix the windows, but as it turned out they didnt need fixing. These are incredible windows and a fantastic company.

Our experience with Gulf Coast Windows has been extremely sub par. First off, we understood that their prices arent the lowest in town, which we were fine with because we expected to get what we paid for. After purchasing a nearly $10,000 front door, we have dealt with EXTREMELY poor service. First off, the door was ordered and installed with the wrong color hardware. When I first called to see about getting it replaced they implied that I was the one that ordered it wrong....not possible since we went over every detail with our salesperson and he put the order in. (it was filled wrong). Then they agree to order us new parts in the correct color, long process to get a time for them to come out and install them. My husband just called me, the guy is there with our new parts to install them now and THEY ORDERED THE WRONG COLOR AGAIN. That is just a completely careless mistake. Now my husband stayed home from work, another day for nothing because of their second mistake. Will not ever do business with this company again and will warn others to stay away as well.
