She also shares tips on proper hair care and how to take care of your hair after styling. So glad my friend referred me to her. ❤️

I had such a great experience at this location today. When I was checking out, Simon was so nice and friendly, complimented my purchases, and even showed me another skincare product to go with the one I was purchasing. He ALSO made sure to tell me there was a coupon online and I think it’s amazing when employees share that knowledge with guests because I had no idea about it. Everyone else I interacted with had the same energy as Simon and I love shopping somewhere where you can tell people enjoy what they do and are willing to help. I usually shop at an Ulta a little closer to me, but I’ll definitely be shopping at this one in the future!

They don’t speak to you when you walk in like they are intimidated or something but they speak to others . They are lucky I bought anything . I just needed some concealer because I was visiting out of town from Atlanta, but stop being scared to talk to us because we can tell. It’s so obvious your uncomfortable for whatever reason . I’m so glad I live in a place where nobody assumes you want to steal. I’m a travel nurse I can afford anything in this store . Do you know how much money I have made in the last year ?? It’s 2021. Do better .! I won’t be back to this location . This is sad . The history of this country still affects day to day life . The cashier was very nice and I told her the only person that spoke to me was the guy doing make up .

Just left the store, as soon as I walked in the store I was greeted with a smile ready to start my journey to great skin. After walking around the store a little bit I realized the same women with red hair kept following me. She was really kind so I didn’t think anything of it. But when she asked me “do you guys need any help” the third time I realized what was happening. I was being profiled. I have never been profiled in my life and I was shocked I didn’t realize it sooner. It hurts my heart to believe people will judge you based on your skin color. After that I went to the front with all of my items in the basket and requested to speak to a manager. I politely told the manager how I wouldn’t be purchasing any of these items today because I felt uncomfortable. Sucks people still do this in 2021. Also ps. I literally couldn’t even steal IF i wanted too, my purse is smaller than my whole hand.

Checked in at curbside and waited almost 20 minutes until I had to go in to get my order. The lady at the pickup counter offered no apologies saying they were short staffed. I spoke to the manager and she was way more professional. If you are going to offer curbside, you should follow through. If you dont have enough staff to do this then dont offer it. Keep customers informed as there are people who may not be able to leave their cars and choose where they shop specifically for this reason.

So this one lady that I have problems with is in this morning. She wearing a big glasses, have black skin and kinda fat. She was so rude . I was trying to have a online order ship to my house and she take more than 30’ just to do it and then . When I said oh I have a coupon she was yelling at me and yelling like : wait I do this first then you can talk with a very unprofessional behavior. That was the purpose of concern of my call. But they (ULTR) EMPLOYEE instead of asking for advice on his side because he didnt know what too do got more stupted 🥴🥴. REPORTED INCENDENT AS FRAUDAlso reported too credit bureau GOT 4hits. Made the appointment to get my highlights done for a new job,, the day of my appointment the stylist tells me shes inexperienced and that the previous stylist had more experience.are you kidding me!!, you couldnt tell me that over the phone and save me time.i wouldve made the appointment else where.and to make matters most the manager. Felt comfortable shopping here at this location. There are signs everywhere to remind customers of wearing masks and to not use testers, although you can look at most of them to see what they look like. I was asked if I needed help by a few associates, which was nice and gave me a friendly impression of the store. Overall, Id definitely shop here again when needed!

I was trying to exchange a perfume I bought online (Chanel chance pink version). I realized I prefer the chance chance toilette version but it still didn’t smell good on me. I windowed shopped at ulta for perfumes awhile ago and I decided to splurge on this perfume! It didn’t work out and I was looking for perfumes that were light and either sweet or floral! I am very sensitive to perfume smells and they give me a headache or make me feel nauseous. I am very particular about my perfumes and I can spend hours looking at perfumes & not like any recommendations. No one really helped me at the beginning. One finally helped me and recommended me TERRIBLE perfumes. I did not enjoy it and she made me felt like I was annoying her because I am extremely picky with my perfumes. She left me alone to search on my own which I didn’t mind because I got a headache from the recommendations she gave me. I even told her the brands that I really enjoyed and she didn’t even recommended me anything like it. She also made a face (looked at me as if I was dumb or questioning my logic) when I told her I didn’t like the perfume of Chanel chance & I think it was the toilette I enjoyed more. I was able to exchange the perfume to the toilette and I was right. however, the toilette did not mix well with my body.this sales associate, Cristina, came up to me asking if I needed any help. We hit it off because we have similar tastes in perfumes!!! She was so sweet and entertaining to talk to. She seemed VERY knowledgeable in the products she recommended. I was able to find the perfect perfume for me! My experience with her made this one of the best ulta trips I have ever experienced! she recommended me many products from the fragrance area and makeup area!!! her makeup skills are beautiful too! Cristina was more focused on recommending products that I would love instead of “popular products” or “products that they should sell”. She was very genuine with her interaction and made me felt like she really wanted to help me find the right product. If I come back to this location, I will always ask for Cristina for assistance!

Came to find some concealer and being a POC I needed to find the right shade. I was holding the tester up to my face and accidentally got some on my face, my friend wiped it off.A woman at the cash register named Abby began screaming across the store at us saying we weren’t allowed to use the testers. When we tried to explain what happened, she kept yelling and arguing from across the store with an incredibly bad attitude.Don’t waste your time or money.

The hair dressers in this salon do not know how to follow instructions, they are more inclined to do what they think is good than what you tell them to do. Especially with hair cuts and hair color, inspite of consistently telling them what I wanted they went on and did what they liked. I got confusion with a foundation I just bought and the staff is super nice HOWEVER the manager is very harsh and rude... when she was showing me how to use the dropper she spilled the foundation all over the bottle and just wiped it up with tissues and give back to me. Now this brand new 44 dollar foundation looks like a mass... I don’t understand how can the manager be this rude when the regular staffs are incredibly nice and helpful.

I met the most wonderful young woman here I wish I remembered her name. I was a makeup artist for a well respected brand for years, and I’ve never came across someone so professional and informed about products and different skin tones/types at an Ulta location before. You can tell when the associates are just talking versus when they’re speaking real product knowledge. And she was very sweet and pleasant. I was so impressed with my experience that day. The thick light skin black girl, make her a manager! She’s amazing (I’ll edit this with her name if I ever see her again)

Unlike other Ulta stores, this Ulta location is very big and spacious. Walking in you’re greeted with at least one or two employees, however while you’re shopping it’s unlikely would there be assistance nearby for any questions about the product’s details. Store is clean and neat, however there’s not a lot of help while you’re shopping for a particular item you came into Ulta for.

I also want to give a shout out to Olivia, the employee, who recommended the best eyeshadow color, and foundation for my skin color. She really went out of her way, to explain color schemes, that made my eyes pop. Because of Olivia, I got tons of compliments, on my makeup at work. She is friendly, and knows her job well.

No customer service. I came here around 7:00p on Tuesday 1/21. I was looking for a detox mask and a face cleanser. Walked around aimlessly looking for a mask, and to my surprise no one helped me. I clearly looked like I was lost. I went ahead grabbed my usual face cleanser and checked out.Sephora sales team are always responsive. Someone approached me as soon as I entered the store. I knew what I wanted, but she offered to help me. She really couldnt assist me, since she didnt have her reading glasses on. So I dug for mine in my purse.I didnt see any point in her offering her assistance. The day of the wedding I was called by Ulta and told that the person doing my make up was running at least 30 minutes late. I made my appointment knowing what my time frame was. The reason I am even giving this location two stars is because Ulta is a great place to find beauty items.I am giving 0 stars to the operation manager that assisted me yesterday. This is the second time at this location i was bullied into using a rewards card. The first time I did not even want to sign up.Not sure of the kick back the sales team gets for getting sign-ups but the Galleria location uses a horrible tactic. They told me if i did not sign up for a rewards card so they could have some kind of private ID then I would not be able to return anything, even if I used my CC and had a receipt. Sense when does a business refuse a refund with a proper receipt and even better the CC used.As there were other people around and busy i caved in to the tactic. Of course both times I called corporate and let them know in no uncertain terms that I found Ulta using a horrible tactic to get someone to sign up for a rewards card. Corporate informed me that it is not in there return policy that a customer must have a rewards card to issue a return, and would call the store to better train the staff, this was after the first time this happened. Yesterday it did happen again and the same thing came from corporate, we are so sorry and we will better train the managers.Oh and by the way the one yesterday that required me to use my rewards card, or no return and again was the stores operations manager,

Not going to post the sales lady name on here, because she was at least sweet. One big issue Ive always had with sales is when they give me their input on products and why I should not use it. I walked in sometime last week in the evening, and the item I was going for was a foundation I have been dying to get for months. I went in to look and an assistant asked me if I needed help. I asked her to help me match my skintone, as Im not the best at doing so. She told me there is a better makeup product that is animal cruelty free. Now, I understand there is some people against it, but theres fine line you draw to leave your opinion and choices out. I have worked in retail and know to always go for the customers BEST interest and what they WANT. I intentionally came in for 1 item just to ask for what I WANTED. Dismissing that and going on about a product I never heard of. I was not nearly impressed with the product and still went for the foundation I was wanting to get, I asked her to match me again, and she went and grabbed for one that was somewhat my skintone. Didnt even try to test it on my skin to double check her work. Keep your personal opinions to yourself and always go for the customers BEST interest. Not everyone will be on the same boat with you.

As a guy, this place has everything a woman would want regarding make up, perfume, etc. This place gives you plenty of options to make any woman feel that you were thinking about her. Ive gone there only a few times but every single time Ive found what I need. The options are classy and prices are reasonable. Maybe its the season but was annoyed the last couple of times I went. They harassed me about whether I was finding what I needed when I was sampling makeup and did not need any help, but then when I asked for a particular item in the IT aisle, both times I was kind of blown off and forgotten. Staff member had no idea about the product I wanted or that they even sold type of facial product.She was holding my empty tube in her hand puzzled by the product itself. I noticed no less than three other brands of eye lift serum sitting on the shelves.To make my experience worse, she walks off with my empty tube to get help. As soon as I walked into the store, I was approached immediately at the door and asked in a very aggressive and rude manner if my puppy I was carrying was a service animal because of not it breaks all these health code violations. Holy freaking moly ma’am. First off, hello. Second, please learn how to approach people and talk to them. Isn’t that basic customer service? Impressed! They added so many lines and luckily everything I was looking for are there today and I got the nicest girl on the floor to help me. Lucky lucky super lucky.It seems like she knows everything and very professional. Im not a make-up guru. I buy most cosmetic items at Walgreens, but, I was feeling brave so I decided to go to Ulta. I always feel overwhelmed at this store, but Ive never felt so helpless. I asked these two women (African - American) for help on a lipstick shade. I never wear lipstick, so I really needed help. They were 0 help. Im Hispanic and they kept telling me (with a tone of sarcasm), Really? Look at you... any shade works for you. You should be thankful. ... I honestly didnt even know how to take that, so I kind of just smiled and said thank you? ... but it felt rude. I tried asking them again for advise on a shade and they would just say sure, go for it. and not really even try to help me. Im not sure what I did wrong, but I havent been back there or to any Ulta for that matter. Houston overall has the worst service almost anywhere you go, so I wasnt surprised, but Im always disappointed.

Nice ulta with a lot of the brands I love and some things Ive wanted to try but my local ulta doesnt carry. Employees were nice and helpful and I found the items I went there for. I do wish they would start carrying- they as in all Ulta stores- more clean beauty as I have an ulta credit card but not one for sephora. Id recommend this location.

I went for a hair cut and showed them specific pictures of how I want my hair style to be. Time and again I have been telling the stylist to stick to the way I asked for but at the end my hair has been cut too short ( less than my shoulder length ) and looks like a basic U-cut. I would never go there again or suggest anyone to go there!

Love the store, love the products. But the customer service is deplorable! They are too busy talking to each other and seem put off when you DO ask for help. While I was looking for a recommendation to replace a product no longer carried basically was told sorry we dont carry that shade, find one you think matches. No recommendation just do it yourself. I left the store spending over a 100$ for that much Id like better customer service.

This place is awesome and Olivia is the rock holding it together! That woman has probably forgotten more about makeup than most people will ever know in their life, she’s a DaVinci with a blush brush! With her help I made my wife’s Christmas! Thank you Ulta!

I am a regular at this store. And I was actually shopping when Mr. Brown and his GF went in to shop and harass the staff and play the race/victim card. They were very snobbish and rude them selves and if you ask any other customers there, it looked like they were trying to make a scene maybe to get a free gift card from corporate and make a complaint.I am mixed race myself and have never had any issues at this location for God’s sake this is Houston and that store is as diverse as our lovely city! So I felt it only fair to put in my 2 cents and let y’all go in for yourselves and see what an amazing staff they have including management. :)

I love Ulta just not this location. One lady just doesnt even look at you while youre talking and sure enough Im returning my item and go to Sephora where the cashiers are nicer. I guess she didnt like her job because of the look of disappointment on her face. This really irritated me and the guest before her too. I thought I saw a different price and instead of her going to go check she just stared at me. Ulta bosses, please pop in and check on the people who didnt just pass an interview but how their attitude is. I dont appreciate my makeup palettes being thrown in a bag and putting the item down like a gallon of milk. The items like eyeshadow and highlighters will crack.
