Very cute cafe!!! The coffee and food is very good and the service is amazing!! Everyone is super friendly, and they have a good sized patio right across from the park!! Only giving 4 stars because all the chairs are super uncomfortable especially if youre trying to study or get work done.

Great ambiance ! Super cool place with little nooks to study or work peacefully. They play good tunes and the coffee is always hot and yummy! Pastries are good but wish they had more vegan options. Nonetheless, come here for a some great matcha and a nice pastry!

The first word that comes to mind when I think back on my experience here earlier is “wow!”. This is a super super cool coffee shop. Love the atmosphere, the design, the interior decorations, the staff…etc. I ordered an ice coffee, which was absolutely a 10/10 and I also had the salmon bagel which was also totally delicious. The space itself is tasteful and inspiring and I could easily see myself spending time here reading a book and enjoying the vibe. It’s across from a really cool park called Levy Park that has nice chairs you can sit at and is nicely landscaped. Overall this coffeeshop is just outstanding and I cannot wait until I go back for a second visit!

Excellent menu, seasonal coffees are INCREDIBLE! Not too sweet and just perfect. I have the snickerdoodle and it was deliciousAnd all made with the cool heart shapes :)The avocado mash flat bread (all with cauliflower crust) was ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. first avo toast i dont need to add salt or pepper to. They added just enough lime to make it perfect. Super light and shareable.Also in front. Of levy park which is perfec to bring kids or your dog for a day activity.

Aaron was amazing! Made a great decaf macchiato. The selection had no pastries left by the time we got there, but it makes sense after 8pm. Wonderful made to order churros! Great shop design. And super kind service. Ive been impressed by everyone Slowpokes hires so far, they have great people, great design, and great product! No kombucha here, which was strange.

Came here to do some work and get a latte. The honey rose latte was pretty good! The wifi worked well for a couple hours. I will say the coffee here is on the pricier side, but the location probably has something to do with that as well.Their happy hour is also great! Great deals and very generous to last until 8pm since most happy hour deals end around 7. The soft pretzel was fluffy and the Brie flatbread was delicious! The $15 mimosa carafe is a great deal too!

I want to hang out at slowpokes to get some work/studying done but it’s very loud for a coffee shop. The music is loud and everyone feels like they need to talk over the music. Also people from the park nearby like to hang out inside with their dogs and their toddlers instead of hanging out at the park right outside. The honey lavender latte is really good. The food is just okay.

This place is among the best of the best! I tend to go just when in the neighborhood, and yet someone always remembers me by name! They dont use syrups, but REAL flavors from REAL ingredients. Their menu is quirky and has variety from reasonable and healthy, to crazy and fun like donut grilled cheese. 🤤 This time I got a pumpkin pie latte and a lox bagel which came with capers, cucumber, little onion, and cream cheese. Was very good!

I love everything about this place except one thing. The Only thing I hate about this place is the parking situation. If you’re on the go, you cannot park outside, go in, get a latte and bounce without the Park Ranger trying to get your car towed. However, there is a cheat, if you bring someone with you, park outside, they sit in the Park seating next to the car, while u run inside and come back. If you go solo, the park ranger will start taking pictures of your car and get ready to tow it. So weird they get treated that way. All I want to do is park at the park, go get a latte and walk around the park. Why is that so hard to do? Why do I have to to into a parking garage, three floors up just to get a latte TO-GO. I once saw the park tow the AC repair man’s van! yes the guy that is fixing your building’s AC. He was parked outside the entrance but they consider it Park Parking and towed him. Crazy!

Good coffee, good food snacks (warm, made to order), good vibes, good view of Levy Park. Good people working there. Always kept clean. What more do you need?!

Finally a nice coffee shop/bar in this area. Enjoy a nice time at Levy park and then go for a coffee, panini, beer or wine at Slowpokes. They have a great selection of coffee, tea and sandwiches/salads. Happy hour from 4-7pm with 4$ drafts and 5$ glasses of wine.

I really like the atmosphere of this place. Bonus points because I had the best oat milk latte of my life.

Cool vibes, strong coffee selection, and nice beers. The decor is classy and feels like being in a trendy wine bar without the price tag.

I got their chicken pesto panini and it was very good. The place is very nice to take some time and enjoy the inside and outside seatings with a park in front of it. It has plenty of time and a great place to get coffee. Prices as good as well.

If you wanna try something healthy and delicious, this is the place. Its sandwich’s are great. You can sit outside and enjoy the view of the park, very quiet place and good coffee.

My favorite coffee shop in Houston. Plenty of tables, spaces, outlets, wifi, and nice bathrooms. Its a beautiful place, in a great location. I drink decaf, and the decaf espresso I get here is some of the best Ive ever had. The baristas are super nice and accommodating, and they play really great music. Honestly I cant say enough good about this place.

Chai latte was delicious. Cinnamon bun cookie was really good as well. Staff was very nice. I liked all the sloths on the walls very cool. Only thing seating is very limited.

The shop is very cute, and theyve even added masks to their animal art. However, the coffee was average. They do have a good selection of tasty pastries and some good beers on tap.

Awesome coffee shop that’s also a great place for a beer or glass of wine, they even have a happy hour. Light bites are on point with a selection of treats from baked goods to a PB&J, or flatbread to cheese board. It’s a great place to sit and work or just hangout. Plus, how cute are those slowpokes?

Service was nice, the location is right, and the concept is also great. However, I expected my coffee to be freshly made, it was not. It tasted old, as if it had been sitting there for about an hour.

I really enjoyed Slowpokes! They have a lot of fun flavors - I tried the lavender honey latte and it was delicious! A cute atmosphere, and right across the street from a really really nice park. I would really recommend grabbing one of their drinks and heading across the street to sit outside on the lawn or one of the many picnic tables.Update: I would really really recommend the sticky bun latte! It is amazing. Also, they do allow dogs to come in to the front counter to order drinks (not into the actual shop), so thats a 13/10 from me and my foster pup.

Service is almost business as usual since before COVID 19. Masks are required and social distancing is enforced but their menu is complete and well-rounded for a coffee shop (Good selection of small bites, pastries, and sandwiches)If you want an amazing drip coffee they probably have some of the best in Houston- Their Ethiopia tastes like blueberry muffins in a cup.speaking of cups this is one of the few coffee shops in Houston that actually serve in dine-in dishes during covid-19. Espresso really does depend on the proportion of milk to coffee so having true cups for each of your drinks such as a cortado, traditional macchiato, lattes, and cappuccinos really makes slowpoke one of the best places to grab some good espresso now days.The staff is great and friendly and more than happy to help you out.Parking is validated when parking in the garage, you just have to ask for a ticket at the cashier after you order.

The coffee, snacks and atmosphere were great. It’s perfect if you’re having a day at Levy park. However, the man that took our order, Aaron G, literally yelled at me. So much so, that even a few customers looked over. It was comparable to an overnight shift employee at McDonald’s when the ice cream machine is down.

What a nice, generous cafe and employees!

The location is beautiful and interior is so pretty. The drinks are also great. I would say the only negative is that the chairs to table ratio is kinda far and makes it not very comfortable to sit and work at for more than a few minutes but that’s not staffs fault as much as the designers.

Two thing that i love about a place is the attention that i receive and the quality of their products, and Slowpokes has both of them. My coffee was excellent and the baristas were kind and warm as soon as i stepped into the place. Totally recommend it, i loved it

I enjoy all the slowpokes locations but I especially love the location in Levy Park! It’s spacious and quiet inside which is great for studying and it’s conveniently located next to the park which is great for social distancing right now.I tried one of their fall flavors Sticky Bun with some oat milk and I’m dying to go back and get it again! I also tried the peanut butter/chocolate cookie and was obsessed. Really enjoyed my order and the staff is friendly and helpful!

Good coffee and creative seasonal flavors. The seasonal flavored iced lattes are a bit sweet and not enough coffee flavor for my preference, but fun for a treat. The standard drip coffee is very good and bold.

I love this place. I love getting drinks from there. Its always clean and very friendly staff.

The coffee here is slightly overpriced in my opinion. now, that isn’t to say the coffee isn’t good; it is. i got the matcha affogato, which is a dessert-coffee item. the service is good as the baristas are really friendly and helpful.parking here is slightly difficult to find as you have to park in the garage next to the building/nearby and then take a short 5-6 minute walk, but it’s free if you’re there for under 30 minutes i believe. don’t park at the park or area in front of the place because they will tow you. you could take a lucky chance, but i personally wouldn’t 🤷🏽‍♀️i came here to study, but all the seats were taken so i had to just get my order to-go and go elsewhere. i came on a monday morning/afternoon time so i thought it would be less busy, but i do advise to come before 1 pm or during a slower time if you want to come here to study! there are outlets/charger ports as well.

Great location outside Levy Park. They have garage parking up to 3 hours for free. They have a lot of good food options and drinks as well besides coffee and tea. Looks like a popular spot to post up with your laptop too

I ordered a plain coffee and a muffin. My order arrived promptly and I enjoyed my meal. My visit lasted about 15 minutes, and because it was so brief I do not have much to say about slowpokes.

Good place to grab a beer. Buffalo Bayou Wake n Bake on tap at the time of my visit. Good beer, good service.

While tasty, the breakfast biscuit is miniscule, and not worth the over $8 price. If ordering on Ubereats, the Slow Dough Pretzel requires it to be ordered with 3 different sauces, but only 2 of the same type of mustard was provided. Attention to detail needs to be improved.

I love coming here! Great service and great coffee, they always have a great variety of coffee every week and a guest roaster every weekend so you always have something new to look forward to! But.. today my OCD really ticked me off with the glass table that I always love sitting at, the glass was uneven and it was bolted down so I couldnt move it... hopefully they fix it.. overall 10/5 would reccomended coming here!

This place is amazing simply because of the baristas. Due to miscommunication, Aaron helped me out with my wants and I couldn’t be more thankful. Aaron made me a DELICIOUS DELICIOUS macchiato! I’m coming back here for my coffee runs because not only did the baristas help me with my wants, I was also educated about coffee and that’s a way to turn new customers to regulars! ♥️

For such a simple thing, their breakfast taco is soooooo good. The cilantro cream adds that little extra mmmmm. I also had the honey lavender latte. Subtle and exquisite.

I like the atmosphere, and its across from a nice park, but the plain hot latte I got just tastes weird.... Like the milk or coffee is a bit off. Not really worth it for the price.

This has been my go to spot ever since it opened here in Levy Park. The staff makes the environment so warm and friendly, I’ve made it my morning spot for coffee. It’s very clean, the music is chill, and the baristas make delicious drinks. They’ve got quality coffee, great food, and a very attentive and hard working staff.Also, they have Kombucha on tap from my favorite local Kombucha store. Which is very unique and so nice to enjoy while walking around Levy Park.I really want to take time to shoutout the manager. He always welcomes me, even remembers my name and favorite drink. He probably goes through more than 100 people a day and he goes out of his way to remember all of his regulars and takes time to talk with us, all while multitasking. I’ve been coming here since it’s opened and his customer service has always been incredible.

I love this location! I visit at least a few times a month. The staff is always super nice. They have great cookies and sandwiches. You’re right across from the park so it’s nice to get coffee and sit outside.

The only thing this place gets right is its name. I waited over 40 min for one iced latte and one hot latte. I asked the baristas if they forgot my order after the family that ordered after me all got their drinks first. They had indeed accidentally skipped me and needed to reprint the order. Two more groups got their drinks before me. To make matters worse, the latte tasted like hot milk. I tipped 20% when I ordered thinking Id be helping out a local business. I cant believe Im saying this, but I shouldve just gone to Starbucks.

Great place to hang out and study. Enjoyed the laid back atmosphere and the service staff was friendly. Great for early morning coffee or a late night beer - good selection of both! Nice food selection, too. I had the donut grilled cheese which was very tasty. Definitely will be visiting again!

Have you ever wanted to get a cup at 8PM at a location other than a major national chain? Well, this is your place! They pull excellent espresso shots and the teas are great. The best part is the food menu. I highly recommend the Churros donut but I wish it would come with a thick chocolate dipping sauce. The atmosphere is great and there are places to plug in laptops and work/study. The seating is community for the most part for those who prefer a more private setting.Do not park in Levy Park while going here. Levy Park will tow you. Either park in the garage or along East Side or Wake Forest.

Ive never made it over to Levy Park until today, or Slowpokes, so it was just the right kind of late spring day to try both. I decided to get the donut grilled cheese and sure its a little quirky but it was very good. Enjoyable space, very friendly and attentive service. Easy garage parking, too.

Second location for one of my favorite coffee shops in Houston! Located in Levy Park, this is a perfect spot for an early morning catalyst or a mid afternoon pick-me-up. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff that have customer service in mind with everything they do. Also, the coffee doesnt disappoint either! Put this spot on your list!
