We had a great brunch this morning. Arriving around 9:30a, the line wasnt bad at all and plenty of seating. We ordered waffles, fried pickles, fried potatoes, brisket taco, and biscuits to eat. Coffee and a #9 or nine something drink. Very good, filling, and very pleasant atmosphere. Everyone (staff and patrons) were extremely friendly. We will definitely return.

Of all the Creek restaurants I think this is my favorite. I’m not sure what differentiates it, but the atmosphere is just always good. The guys at the counter are always nice. The music is good. Their food is great, notably the salads. Which sounds silly to say about a place that specializes more so in beer and comfort food, but it’s true! The most recent time we went we got the chicken kale caesar and the white oak salad, both were amazing! I think if a restaurant can do a good salad, then they really know what they’re doing. Plenty of options for all kinds of eaters, open, spacious patio, sports, good music, good vibes. Shouldn’t be missed!

Okay the brisket burger was really good and is worth a try for people who are curious about the menu. I would recommend to get fries instead of the chips if you want more flavor. This location is a bar/restaurant type scene so just know to expect that. The person who brought our food and cleaned the table were nice and helped get things we need or thrown away. Its a good spot I might come back again if Im in the area.

Line was long, yet the wait was worth food.Coffee is tasty.Their mac n cheese balls were good.The Cuban Brisket Sandwich was very tasty. The meat was bbqed brilliantly.The outside area was quaint.Great amount of TVsParking sucks, so carpool!

Onion Creek Coffee House continues to be one of our favorite restaurants for brunch or lunch. Their breakfast tacos are one of a kind and their frozen mimosas are on freaking point. We will continue to stop by and bring friends any chance we get. Literally a must try for anyone..

Great atmosphere... food selection could be better. Not here to complain everyone has their place to eat.... this in particular wouldnt be one of my top choices. I like how they had a DJ playing music during brunch and that you can bring your fur babies out on the porch while you eat.

Such an awesome laid back place! I’ve been a couple of times and enjoyed my time there. Mimosas are good, burgers are delicious! I had the Bernard burger last night and the smoked jalapeño in there was perfect. Great fries too. I hear the breakfast is really good so I’ll need to come again!

I used to love coming to Onion Creek for a weekend brunch but am very dissatisfied in my meal this morning. The waffle came out almost as soon as I finished ordering was not warm and was flavorless. It tasted like it had been sitting around waiting to be ordered....Also the menu says $7 for a frozen mimosa and I was charged $8. When I pointed it out the server said they had new menu pricing and guess they hadn’t updated the posted menus yet. Pretty frustrating...I’ll come back again but get an egg dish I’ve had before and know is good.Update: they replaced my waffle with a freshly made one. Much better.

One of my favorite places. From a cappuccino after work to a craft beer with a gastro pub menu item. Great patio and close to lots of local hangouts.

An eclectic local bar with a good beer selection and good food. warm atmosphere that’s family friendly. parking is limited and difficult like the other bars in the area, but there is a fair amount of bicycle racks.Monday and Wednesday cast iron steak nights available for takeout for a $2 takeout fee.

GML hit the restaurant trail again today. Taken aback a little on arrival…computer was down so caused a slowdown with counter service…especially using the old manual card slide to process credit cards. Also very limited parking…mainly on the street. That’s all the negatives that were more than compensated by the atmosphere and the food. Great indoor and terrific outdoor seating. Great bar and terrific selection of beer. Thursday is Throwback Thursday which means THE CLASSIC for $7 (vs$13)…comes with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, ketchup and mustard on challah bun. At such a price at least one of GML couldn’t pass up a good deal!! Looked great and reported to be flavorful and juicy. Comes with CHIPS..upgraded to handmade ONION RINGS for $2…crispy crust and tender on the inside. Definitely worth the money…you know how GML love onion rings!!! The rest of GML +1 had THE BERNARD…$15…cheddar, caramelized onions, bacon, avocado, and smoked jalapeño on challah bun. DELICIOUS!!! 3 upgraded to ONION RINGS 1 stuck with FRIES…no one was disappointed. Will definitely go again…hopefully when the computer is working!

My first visit started off great! Friendly employees, fast service and food was a miss. I was disappointed! Received my burger and fries. First few bites were ok; my burger bun and patty was cold and as I ate more in middle- realized it was cooked SUPER RARE! Eww. So, I said ok rare is ok but I looked it more, I realized it wasnt cooked long enough at all! Smh not good. A miss! Should also asked how well customer wants it cooked.....

Never - Ever - Go HERE! Heres why. Food was decent. Patio atmosphere was pleasant with DJ playing brunch tunes. Staff was adequate. AND THEN - one of our group asked where the restrooms were. He was pointed to a unisex port-a-potty... It was the filthiest, vilest and gag inducing experience ever. No rodeo or MS150 bathroom EVER was like this. I suddenly realized that their employees had to use this too and then went back into the kitchen to fix the food and pour the drinks. This is the first review I have ever written ... but this place should not be allowed to operate this way. Shame shame shame.

If you travel the White Oak trail this is a must, within easy reach of the trail system and you can pull up on a bike and full Bike apparal and not be out of place. I dont know what you would have to do to stick out in the heights but this is a great spot. Huge drink selection, solid food choices artistically named and presented. Prices are aligned with the area which run a bit higher than other suburbs.

Onion Creek turned out to be a great surprise! Looking for dog-friendly, we stopped by for Saturday breakfast. Food was very tasty. Drinks are creative. Shade and fans made outdoor dining comfortable on a muggy morning. Also the live DJ was great, really cool sounds and not too loud to be intrusive. We had to get on the road but I was really tempted to hang out for another drink and just chill and listen to music.

This place is hands-down incredible. Became packed even on a rainy night, but I love the cozy interior. Tons of outdoor seating. They have $5/lb crawfish Mondays, and its slightly less than $8/lb otherwise. We got 5 lbs for $35 and got the fish and chips special. The fries and fish were perfection, and the crawfish was soo delicious as well. You can get butter or seasoning with the crawfish, but its also perfect without. Its beautiful at night with all the lights!!

Amazing food! The 6th street migas and Lampasas burger are great for brunch. Be sure to get the deep eddy frozen drink!

Met someone who has been loved it and they in my opinion have bad taste in food. So I let them here. Its not their fault its just a dive bar. Nothing special. The service was great foe drinks. I didnt order food or want anything there so thats just my experience I dont think anything bad of the place I just didnt chose to go here and they didnt engage me enough to earn my business. Maybe some things could be done better. The bathroom was a crime scene not where I want to eat. Nuff said. I wash my hands before I eat (like an adult) it was a huge turn off.

For some reason the bartenders never card men but only women... At least in my experience. Nothing really stands out about onion anymore. 2 years ago I would have told you different.

I got the Billy goat salad. I personally dont like goat cheese so I asked them to add chicken in place of the cheese. The chicken was flavorful and had a nice juiciness to it. Everything in the salad tasted really fresh. Loved the combo of strawberries and pecans

This is the best place in the heights. My favorite is buffalo cauliflower burger. They have a great selection of beer if you are into that kind of stuff. Very casual. Friendly staff. The music is never loud. We go here for breakfast, lunch and sometimes for dinner. Our dog loves it there too!

Breakfast tacos were good, especially the hangover. Brisket breakfast sandwich was also tasty. Good coffee.

Rustic old Towne setting. Lots and lots of outdoor patios tables and TVs.Food is very good and 5 star restaurant in appearance.Drinks from medium to kinda strong. I had the Deluxe Queso and a house salad. Both were DELICIOUS !!

Been coming here for years off and on. The food is always great, the staff at the register were not great this time. Took a group of Coworkers that have never been. They enjoyed the food, but we all agreed the cashier/bartender was very blah. Tip for him, if you smiled you could of had a better tip.

Good seating and good atmosphere both inside and outdoor patio. Service is good; theres a pretty good selection of beers on-tap; and the slice of shared pizza, my guess: some sort of spinach, mushroom, cheese concoction was good even at room temp.

The Verde breakfast tacos with flour tortillas were fantastic. The horchata iced coffee was okay. I thought it would be sweeter. This place has a great ambiance.

Frickles were good, thicker cut. Burger good, massive bun. Cauliflower bites were ok, could have been cooked a bit longer.Steak nights on Monday and Wednesday are delicious.

We went on Memorial Day because they advertised bucket specials- they literally posted about them that morning on their social media. When we got there, the bartenders were so rude and the guy told my friend that they sold all their cheap beer over the weekend, so they werent having bucket specials. I asked the lady 3 times about specials before she finally told me about their $5 glasses of wine (after repeating twice that there were no specials). I even asked if they would honor the all day Monday happy hour that they advertise on their website and they said no. We definitely wont be back- there are too many other nice and inclusive bars on white oak.

The Bagel and Lox was ok but the Crispy Cauliflower was finger licking good! Yum... Just thinking of the cauliflower makes my mouth water. I didnt like that I had to order at the bar but the food came out pretty quickly considering how many people were there for Brunch.

The bartenders were all so sweet! I would love to come back. It was so clean and the doors were open to allow fresh air to circulate. The drinks were great and the food was delicious.

The Jive Turkey from Onion Creek Cafe is delicious! If you go for brunch on a hot Houston day, their frozen mimosas are a must! The outside patio is pet friendly too and well shaded from trees.

This place is the best. Great food, good beer and awesome atmosphere. So relaxed and the patio is dog friendly. Usually have some street market vendors set up on Sundays too! Highly recommend.

While it appeared to be a great place at first it ended up a terrible experience. We were first asked to pay and tip for food we hadn’t even received yet. Was then given half a cup of lemonade and told to go fill up the tea half myself for the Arnold Palmer. Then the food came out and the burger was charred black. Lastly asked for a to-go box which never came.

I just love the place and the food! Customer service when ordering is Ok, it can be better not that they did something wrong but they seem so quiet and not friendly. They seemed so IDK how to explain myself but the guys cleaning are more friendly outspoken and attentive. Other than that its a very cool place to hang out and have a good brunch.

All the CREEKS are good but this one has a very relaxed chill vibe. I love the fireplace inside when it actually gets cold in Houston. Food, drinks and service all great!!! Great local bar where you will run into friends, people you ran with earlier on the bayou, or great spot to meet new people. I love the Kale Ceasars salad one of the best and you cant beat one of their burgers a must try. Enjoy!!

Food is pretty solid and consistent from day to day. Not much variety, but worth a shot if youve never eaten here. Alcoholic beverage selection is rather extensive.
