This is a pretty chill place to do homework, hangout, enjoy a hot cup of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and treats. I highly recommend the hibiscus tea. Our church group meets here and I have to say it was a hidden gem. I live in the neighborhood but had not stopped in until I met friends. I enjoy gelding back every week.

Houstons only non-profit coffee shop! I love this space, the indoor setting is really nice and considering the times, they have plenty of outdoor seating as well. I love their fun drinks, I got a limited time mocha float once and it was good! They also have a bunch of merch inside the store and a little boutique as well! Oh one more thing, farmers market happens here on Saturdays!

Visited today for the first time and loved the vibe! We ordered a Secret Squirrel and a cappuccino, two eggs sandwiches and I bought a bag of beans. I was pleasantly surprised to learned that a bag of beans come with a free drip or cold brew. The sandwiches with chipotle aioli was really good. The secret squirrel was a pleasantly delicious drink but the cappuccino was just ok. I enjoyed looking and seeing all the beautiful and unique merchandise items available for sale. There is really something for everyone here.

I wish I lived in Houston just to go to this coffee shop everyday. Visiting from Southern California I had to make a special trip to this unique coffee shop. Th proceeded to this shop goes to the efforts to fight human trafficking. They have a store front boutique with cute gifts. But when I tasted the coffee AMAZING. I’m a coffee enthusiast and this was some of the best coffee. Great coffee for a good cause.

I found this place the same way I find most places I end up reviewing: by typing coffee or food into Google maps and sifting through the results until I find something that looks good. And this place was good. The barista recommended their A2C signature breakfast sandwich and an iced mocha, the latter of which I had seen a few other patrons leaving with. They both tasted as good as they looked. The mocha was smooth and rich, but not overly sweet as many mochas I have had in the past tend to be. It was so smooth that I forgot for a moment I was drinking coffee. This is what I look for when going for flavored drinks. This drink must be quite popular because they offer it in quarter gallons to-go.The breakfast sandwich was, in a word, fantastic. The egg was to me perfectly cooked with a slightly thick runny-ness. The tomatoes added acidity and brightness to contrast the richness of the egg, creaminess of the cheese, and butteriness of the croissant, which was just the right amount of crispy.I would definitely order both items again and I recommend them emphatically. After enjoying my book for a bit, I helped myself to some water from their easy-to-reach jug, used their well-built, well-maintained restroom, and ordered a cappuccino. The cap did not disappoint and hit the sweet spot between sharp and smooth as the espresso and milk played together. On the food and coffee alone, I cannot recommend this place enough, but there is one other important reason you should spend your money here: they are an NPO that puts their income into combatting human trafficking. I find this to be both impressive and admirable, and I have included a photo of one of their many wall presentations that discusses this pressing issue.Well, I hope this was helpful and that I’ve convinced you to check this place out if ever you find yourself in Houston, fellow Google user!

Pleasant enough college hangout ... at least the days I visited. The blueberry muffin wasnt tremendous but the coffee is very good. This establishments chief virtues are the lovely location and coffee drinks which are good and also taste vastly different than Starbucks or Peets Whether you like that difference is a matter of personal taste. For me it was a pleasant ”change of taste .

The cortado here has a great, full-bodied taste. It is basic without being to bitter, and is balanced overall. It is somewhere in my top five favorite coffee shops in Houston thus far. I like how the place is spacious, and the decor isnt cluttered like many other places. I would enjoy chatting here, but the tables arent necessarily suited to working or studying. Also, I would not recommend coming here around sunset, as the sun shines straight through the windows and into your face.

Ive always been a fan, but the shop is a bit of a drive from where I live now. Drove out because I heard they were still requiring masks. I always have a great experience at A Second Cup. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The coffee is also really good. My favorite drink is the Sweettoff. I knew Erica (the founder and owner) back when she was “just” a mobile coffee operation with hopes of doing something like what she has now built. What she has done is amazing and I love going in to A 2nd Cup and seeing it busy with customers who have embraced the mission and the product. I’m a drip coffee guy, and I’m never disappointed here, and the food offerings change and I’ve never had something that I didn’t enjoy. Simple, open, spacious neighborhood coffee shop benefiting a great cause. Lots of seating options to hang out, study, chill, whatever. A few sweets and savory items to munch on. There are a few creative coffee options of their own and they have a lot of adds to customize ur hot or cold beverage. It feels good to get a cup of coffee that has some flavor, that isnt so watered down that you wish you could add some coffee to your coffee. It feels even better you drink a good cup of coffee knowing that your money is going to help stamp out human sex trafficking.Today we spent five hours at the shop for a large event we were running. The staff was very helpful, the drinks were good, the food was surprisingly tasty, and the merch was trendy and cool (today the hoodies were even on sale). The shop had a constant flow of traffic that made it obvious they were hitting a cord with the locals. More than once I heard employees and customers exchanging pleasantries that made it apparent they were regulars. And I get it. Everything about the place made me want to be a regular too. There are a lot of places you could buy a cup of coffee. There are a few places you can buy a GOOD cup of coffee. But it is a rare gem to have a place where you can buy a good cup of coffee and support a good cause. A Second Cup fills the mug in every way.

Come for great coffee...COME BACK for the mission this place serves. Erica has done an amazing job making people aware of the stain of modern day slavery. As the pic says, it didn’t end it went underground. She spoke at St. Agnes and my daughter was blown away by the problem, the efforts to address it and by Erica’s passion to serve the victims of Human Trafficking.
