While on vacation, we made 2 trips here. Absolutely the freshest and most delicious bakery goods. They had a large variety of savory and sweet breads, muffins, tarts and cakes. The Mango Coconut Boba smoothie was yummy too!

Such unique baked goods for so cheap! the most expensive thing we bought was 3.00$ and everything we got was absolutely amazing! the boba teas are also perfect! the boba in them is perfectly sweetened and cooked! me and my family are for sure coming back!

Really sad that the cake we brought had mold on the strawberry. Will never buy my birthday cakes from here from now on.

Smaller location than the massive Bellaire location. I was here on the Saturday morning after the freeze. Please was fully stocked, a pleasant surprise. Had everything I wanted save then drinks of course.Inflation has taken its toll however. Prices are slightly up and the portions are reduced. Still the best asian bakery chain in the area. Breadtalk is still tops, but Houston is a second tier city so they probaly wont make it here.Please get the pinaapple pattern bread with the custard if you have to try one thing. You will not regret it!

I love 85C Bakery! I easily spend around $20 every time I come here. Im not even a big fan of bread, but these breads are something else. My personal favorites are the cookie bread, the milk bread, and the mango bread. For savory, I LOVE the garlic cheese bread. I used to frequent the Katy location, but since it temporarily closed due to COVID, this location is the closest one to me. Im hoping the Katy location will re-open soon!!

To be clear, this review is for the chain and not just this location. It has been around for awhile, so long that many people think it has jumped the shark and is no longer considered fresh. Even when it first came to Houston and people raved about it, I thought is was just ok, nothing to write home about. Now that it has gathered a bit of a following, and by people who do not know any better, I have to say, please people, educate yourselves. This is not even remotely good. My last taste of their red bean and pudding buns were a disaster, the bread was simply too wet and was like raw dough. To say it was terrible would be kind. Their cakes are always pretty, but inside very dry and tasteless. To add insult to injury, their prices are more than double the average Asian bakery on Bellaire. Do everyone a favor and stop patronizing this place. Even Six Peng is better, and I detest that place.

Qi Qi, ordered an egg tart and a Tiger boboa latte. She liked them both. If QiQi is happy, that means her tummy is happy. Of her tummy is happy, I am safe.

My favorite bakery so far! I don’t know how people can be too demanding and can make up poor reviews based on the probably bad day they were having, looking for the negative side on everything. If you go yourself there, you will find out how neat the place is. I have visited in different times and the place is always clean and well organized. Staff is attentive and with pleasant personalities, they will wrap up each piece of bread in fancy cellophane bags and will pack larger purchases in nice cake boxes. This may be a smaller location compared to the others out of Spring Branch and yes, some breads may be repeated in the trays, but you can be sure everything is fresh made, of good quality and tasty. Their half moon cakes with almonds and milk tea buns are to die for. Their mango cakes taste 100% like the real fruit and the tiramisu is just wow! Sea salt caramel coffee is the most recommendable from their coffee menu, followed by the brown sugar one. Oh, and I love their Smoothie Mondays when they offer buy one get one free (smoothies also taste all natural too). And they have this small corner with some cozy seats to enjoy coffee, but for those writing negative reviews just because they could not sit in one single visit they did: it’s supposed to be a bakery, if you want to drink coffee and cake and remain sitting for a long time, go to a coffee house. My family and I, especially my kids, love this place and their products, they got new, loyal customers for life in us.

Delicious boba drinks!

The store was clean and nice but where you pick up your bread is kind of narrow and gets crowded easily. The red bean bread and potato croquette bread were really good. The red velvet cake was ok; sponge wasnt moist and cream cheese icing was a little too salty.

Super good boba and nice assortment of pastries and desserts! I was so excited to try out the boba here and it didnt dissapoint, I got the tiger boba latte and it was nicely sweet and the pearls were chewy and flavorful which is nice, boba at other chains is so bland. I got a sweet bun as well and it came out to be around 7$ which is almost the amount of my drink at Starbucks lol. Im excited to go back and try out all the other drink flavors and pastries. Hopefully they open more locations around Houston as this one was a bit out of the way, but still not bad as a weekend treat.

This d coffee and pastries. . The pastries all have an ingredients listed. I didn’t see any vegan pastries. They do have dairy alternative for lattes. The service is the minion ; not ignored or engaging. My friend loved her cupcakes my latte was good. It is lean reasonably priced. Located in a strip off I -10 in a strip with Ranch supermarket and bubble tea coffeehouses. There is ample parking

I love this bakery! They have so many delicious options. I tried their Taro Swirl pastry and it’s my favorite. I also got their king grapefruit tea, which was very refreshing! You can’t go wrong going inside and trying everything they have. They also make very beautiful cakes!

The food here is so light and delicious. When I move closer, I am certain I will be there every day!

One of the best budget bakeries ever been to. You can find a variety of baked food both sweet and savory including drinks (boba) and all of them are super affordable and delicious. Ended up ordering caramel pudding and a cake both were yummy.

CUSTOMER SERVICE HERE IS ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! I go in to check this place out for the first time and it’s a very cute bakery. However, the bar for customer service is set very low! I ask the young man at the cashier, “Do you customize cakes?” he responds, in a very dismissive way, “No, what you see is what you get.” Ok, I follow up with, “Ok do you guys have a list of cakes that can be ordered.” He looks at me with a annoyed look and goes, “NO, we don’t do any of that!” I was so shocked to see that this young man was the general manager! 85 bakery has horrible customer service and is not worth your money! They either need to get a new GM or train there employees on customer service!

I like the bread but the customer service is lacking. I came 15 minutes to close just as Im walking in the employee is pulling all the bread trays. I ask him if I can buy any of the bread and he tells me that they are all sold out, as he wheels a stack of trays with bread to the back. I get that their closing but I dont understand putting everything away 15 minutes before. Whats the point of a closing time if you arent going to sell bread? So I guess dont go any time near closing time.

I love 85 degrees for the consistent taste in their pastries and boba! Yeah the employees looked bored working there but they’ve never been rude to me as I don’t ask a lot of questions. Grab and go is the way to go.

First time there, I just seen overly priced items. General manager was on personal phone, when I asked for help he put phone down came to help, with facial expression of (really) your bothering me. Paid 22 dollars for something not really that good. Wont go back.

So good love their pastries. My favorite is the chocolate forests cake OmG . I didn’t expect it to be so good. It had some sort of raspberry syrup and it wasn’t too sweet that all you taste is sugar. So well balance and super yummy. Plus the manager in charge of the morning shift was very helpful. I do think they need a least two cashiers so that they don’t get held up in line. But Over all really cute spot.

Disappointing. So disappointing. I had such high hopes when the 85 degree bakery opened in china town. Im already annoyed with 85 degree bakery in general at their lack of novelty and this horrid crowd that assembles there which I dont understand. So. Sister 85 degree is like the crazy step sister you want to avoid compared to the china town location. Less people and far less baked goods. I went and it was so disorganized. The breads were mislabeled and there was no variety. Very annoying. What set me over the edge was when I asked them where the egg tarts were they said they didnt have any. What did you say to me? No egg tarts?? The single most praised thing your bakery is known for and youre out? You should be ashamed 85 degree bakery. Also the staff just seem worn down and tired. No chipper shouts of fresh bread... I guess... because there is none. Its like I stepped back in time to the 1930s

Delicious delights with culinary expertise and a sweet experience! The pastries are exciting and beautiful and simply delicious! One of my favorite bakeries with tasty drinks as well. Some key players are the milk breads, the strawberry-white coco pastry & the jalapeño cream cheese bread. I absolutely love the rose milk tea as well. You’ll have a happy experience visiting and trying these inventive treats!

Went into the Blalock location at 5:00 pm. When I entered there were 6 customers total. While waiting to pay at least 10 more people came in. There’s a posted occupancy of 10. I said something to the cashier and she asked 2 more customers entering to wait outside. That still left 16 of us inside.If you’re going to post Covid safety guidelines on the front door why not adhere to them??????

1st timer here! They had a great selection of bread and everything we bought was fresh and delicious. Wish they had more seating options to hang out with a bread and coffee.

This place has been getting busier, which is usually a good sign. The boba here is really good as well as all the bakery items.

It was an exceptional visit. It smelled so clean and very well kept w proper signage. Every baked good was individually wrapped, which I appreciated. Quick check out and excellent flavor. I got a cinnamon twist and a berry tart. Supremely delicious! They also have delivery and online order pick up as an option!

Smaller location compared to the one at Bellaire. It doesnt have some of the menu options at the Bellaire location. However, it was cleaner and more quiet without the long wait.

Huge selections of baked goods and drinks, ranging from bread, cakes, egg tarts, and custards to bubble tea. A bit pricey but the quality justifies the price tags I think.

This place is amazing, very friendly, patient and their drinks are great! I just bought a blueberry cheesecake and a Tiramisu and they also taste phenomenal; the rose milk tea, I recommend. Definitely will go again.

I really enjoy this bakery, you have to come early In the day to get the bread you want; otherwise youre kinda stuck with the left over bread. The drinks are good and the service is awesome. Though, the male cashiers get a bit flirty cx. (But Im not complaining)

I love this place and used to come every day around 9:15. I would love to give them 5 stars, but Im disappointed not to be able to run by and grab coffee and a pastry anymore. They changed their hours and dont open until 10am. I dont understand how that makes sense for a bakery.

Bread is very yummy. It is all individually wrapped. They have little cakes that are perfect for gifting. I would recommend for holiday parties as well.

Worrying about having too many people at the bellaire location (and also they always look like theyve just been robbed cuz the shelves are always empty), I decided to drive a little bit more to come to this one. I really enjoy their pastries and the staff is all friendly; Especially this dude name Jose (or Josue) hes always nice and polite, makes me enjoy going there. The only thing is right now because of covid they pre-wrap all their bread and I hate a soggy-shelled egg tart. So hopefully this could end soon and we all go back to FRESH BREAAAAAD

This is the smaller location, the larger being in Chinatown. Good selection of cakes, slices, breads and buns. The cream puff filling is my favorite over the milk bun; its just a little sweeter, with a similar texture. The chocolate bun was my favorite with a grown up Oreo cookie flavor and a soft chewy bun. I enjoyed the red velvet cake, its dense with a tart-sweet icing.

Great bakery options and coffee

First time coming here and tried alot of things. Everything was great, and the breads were delicious. I will definetely go back. I do wish there was more seating options, but other than that, its great.

I love their bread. I just wish that there was one close to me. I only went because I was going to Ikea. The store is also very clean and has a good fresh selection.

Ive been there more than a few times in the morning before arriving to work EVERY SINGLE TIME I get the worse service. They are super rude and unfriendly. Love the coffee from 85 degrees but I will be taking my business to another location.

Mangotale is my favorite. My daughter’s usually choose something different every time. They have the cabinets where you choose your items yourself and then a display case in the front for the refrigerated items. They have a nice drink selection as well. This location is always busy and they only have a few tables to sit at. There aren’t any tables outside, which I think a table or two would be helpful.

Excellent Service and the Pastries were out of this world. I will recommend this to all my friends.

I pretty much come here 2 to 3 times a week. Working my way on trying every item they have. The texture of their cakes are so fluffy, the bread is so buttery and their sea salt caramel iced coffee to die for!

So good it should be illegal lol. The selection of breads is great, they have tasty drinks and the staff is nice!

Yo them taro swirls are the reason I drive from Beaumont 5o houston. Theyre the perfect amount of sweet.

When this place first opened, I was thrilled! I have tried the original 85 degrees in California, and so I was happy to hear about it opening up here. The bakery is consistently top notch and the milk teas were surprisingly really good too. My only gripe is that the egg tarts have increased in price to $2 each. You can get it cheaper (and better) elsewhere. Otherwise this is an amazing place. 👍🏼👍🏼

85 is always a stop. you do not pass go or collect 200.00 you stop and get a snack and wonder how do they make this taro marble bread so fluffy.

A friend suggested this place for coffee and bakery goodies. While there was no wifi, I was not let down. The pastries were delicious and the Americano I had was a perfect energy boost. They offer boba, milk tea, and standard coffee creations along with a few smoothie options too. The music they play sets a nice chill atmosphere and its a combination of all genres ranging from I think the 60s-00s. I saw several people come in for single items but I also saw folks walking away with a few full boxes of pastries. Everything is reasonably priced and as far as customer service is concerned, I dont know what some of the other people who gave a 1-star review are complaining about. The staff are nice. In fact, I just saw a gentleman spill his drink at the counter and the baristas didnt get mad but said they would clean it and remade his drink.

Why the milk tea have 90% milk?

Great everytime. Not the biggest fan of the zebra oolong drink. Too earthy for my liking, but the rose milk tea iced or hot is amazing.
