Worst place to shop for traditional clothing items. First the prices way high and the quality is way low. Also no sense of customer service just because of bad customer service experience couple times wont never go again neither i would suggest any else to go there. I would rather go to J. Next door their staff is super friendly and helpful and also the prices are reasonable and no doubt on their quality.

The experience of working with Anas overall was great! The outfits he had were great quality and elegant looking, appropriate for a wedding! He provided great and helpful recommendations throughout the process (and so did his wife), while still giving me the freedom to make decisions however I felt. The right balance. They helped with everything from picking out outfits, accessories, how to wear the outfit, etc. He delivered on the timeline we had set, which was tight and challenging given the COVID situation (which made the wedding timeline short). He was always transparent about the timeline and schedule. Id definitely recommend checking them out and working with him for a mens wedding outfit.

My husband and I went into this store and the sale girl s were extremely rude. They were staring making comments and laughing at us behind our back’s and not once did they asked if we needed help. I don’t know if it was the fact that I am Mexican American and my husband is Indian. I would think they would be a bit more open minded and accepting of other races since they do live in the United States of America. I’m extremely saddened that this still happens in the year 2021.

Girls who work there seem to change but so far everyone has always been helpful but not pushy. They also have a full mens section and will measure you and help you find what your looking for. Anas always has taken care of me and my friends. From big custom orders to off the rack options that are altered to your fitting. I recently got married and with COVID going on, everything was on short notice, but Anas was still able to make me a custom Mendhi coat/outfit, which truly was amazing. He went above and beyond for it, he also got me my wedding sherwani and made sure it was tailored perfectly. I brought a dress for my daughter for Eid and just one day she ware then that dress was torn a prat .. when I took it back they try to blame me that I torn that dress and try to return it .. I even through that receipt coz I don’t wanna return it . They are so nasty people I can’t even think about. They sell low quality staff for high price.

We visited Poshak to buy my mother a nice traditional outfit. Poshak had a good collection of beautiful pieces however the price was outrageous! It is unnecessary expensive and they are not willing to work with you on it. They also charge extra for alterations and had no return policy. As we were in store, the workers were bickering with eschother which was slightly distracting. Overall, they have beautiful clothing but I wouldnt recommend visiting.

Good place to shop for South Asian sartorial elegance. The staff are very helpful and patient which makes the experience very fulfilling. My forays are for quick purchases while my better half can easily spend an hour or more. The staff naturally understand trends very well.

The outfits and shoes are beautiful. Most of the shoes are hand made but not glued well, so the guy at the counter said he would fix ours. The were back unglued by the time we got home.

When we first walked into this store I had my doubts because it wasn’t a “big brand”. The service I got at the store and the quality of the final product showed me how wrong I was. Anas is a customer service Jedi. He made me feel comfortable from the second I walked in and from there on there was no going back. I was an absolute novice at traditional Indian clothing and I had my inhibitions about any colours other than the four I generally wear. Anas turned that thinking on its head, gradually and assuredly. He was patient, very conversational and never let me feel for once that I was not the most important person in the store even when there were other customers. What’s amazing is that he does this with each and every person in the store. Being a novice, Anas also helped with advice on how to wear the attire for the entirety of the occasion. Karan was a great help with pointers whenever I needed them.I was incredibly pleased with the final product and am so glad that I chose to go with Poshak. I looked like an absolute star in the Sherwani I ordered with one of those sashes. In fact it’s this Sherwani that has made me love Sherwanis. “Anas is The Sherwani Specialist”Our wedding is about a month away and as the big day approaches, there’s still so much that needs to be done. But among all the craziness...the one thing that’s 100% ready to go is the Dulha’s Sherwani.....all thanks to Anas at Poshak.I don’t even live in Houston! I live in Chicago. I was visiting Labor Day Weekend and went into Poshak with my fiancé just to get a look at what Houston has to offer that Devon Avenue might not. And this is what we found at Poshak:-a large selection of men’s sherwanis, accompanied by an amazing selection of Pagris, Shawls, Shoes to dress the Dulha-and most importantly, we found Anas! It was so refreshing talking to someone who can communicate with you properly and professionally. Anas clearly educated us about the types of sherwani materials, embroidery, shawls, shoes, etc. He properly took measurements for the sherwani, shoes, took note of my fiancé’s preferences. He gave us realistic expectations of what he could and could not do, including giving us an ETA of the custom made sherwani. And this was all the first time we stepped foot into the store! We were blown away...but still were thinking we should shop around some more.-1 month later (after dealing with the shark aunties on Devon Avenue) I called up Poshak and spoke with Anas. He not only remembered us, but was incredibly kind, patient, and professional. He answered all my questions, exchanged several e-mails with me to answer every tiny concern I had about the embroidery details, color details, etc.-The sherwani arrived on time and fit perfectly! :)-My fiancé and I are so grateful we came to Poshak that day and met Anas. I had been to Poshak a year ago and was treated well. I needed a bridal suit and it was about five or ten minutes before closing. I was struck by a lack of concern and poor attitude. I felt they had poor business attitude. They refused service and told they had worked a full day and I would have to make an appointment. Other shops went out of their way to fit me in, this was in spite of their scores of appointments while all along being polite and providing genuine help. I can understand why the other shops are full of customers while Poshak is not. Does the owner know this or do they simply have poor manners and no business sense? Either way, the loss is theirs. They could benefit by choosing a manager that has been to a decent business school. NOT IMPRESSED!

I BEG you to bring your patronage elsewhere. We have had a NIGHTMARE of an experience; this studio does not prioritize customer service, only money for sub-par quality clothing. Im not sure where to begin with our problems.My cousins and I ordered outfits for a Spring event. The price was absolutely ludicrous for what we received. We were told pre-pleating and alterations were included in this price, and that they would be ready in 7-8 weeks. Our measurements were taken in the studio, and other than our initial meeting we could not get ANY updates or communication with the designer despite multiple calls. Our sarees were ready 3 months after our measurements were taken. They fit so poorly that I question the staffs ability to take measurements. The finished sarees were mediocre-decent looking at best. Then we get slapped with EXTRA charges for the alterations that were errors of the staffs ability to measure us, and told we had to pay for pleating also. We were blatantly lied to about costs, by the time our alterations were finished- 3.5 months post ordering, our event had passed. We were beyond livid, and were not offered refunds, compensations etc. For this mess this studio put us in. The cherry on top: my cousin got a letter in the mail last week from a debt collector sent from the studio for $57 for past due alteration charges. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS STUDIO.

It’s a place with amazing and unique collections for grooms wear. Ask for Karan when you get there and he will not only help you but make you feel satisfied.

Went there today. This is 2015, and their hospitality is flawless. Their dresses were fancy (even after eid they had a great stock), a little expensive but worth it. Also the cleanliness of the store was very satisfying.

Im very a very picky buyer and the lack of proper fitting in kurtas always puts me off.Literally within a minute of walking in, Anas showed me the smart-fit kurtas that I should try out.The fitting was amazing! I had to alter a sherwani for a wedding. I called Poshak and spoke to Anas about what exactly needed to be altered. I was on travel so could not show up in person but Anas was able to guide me through the process over the phone. At Poshak all the folks were extremely professional and explained what they were going to be doing with the sherwani in detail. The also delivered the finished product a day ahead of their proposed delivery date. Overall a wonderful experience!
