A little fun place to shop for gifts and souviners.

Many things to buy! was very not great financially that day, so I didnt buy anything, but it was nice to walk around. its a really good gift shop though for any ppl you need a quick quality gift for! staff was nice, too! vibes: good; nothing bad at all to say. 5 stars.

Friendly and courteous staff, and everything your Anglophile heart desires. They were very welcoming to my toddler while he explored their children’s section. Such a pleasant shop!

I finally had a chance to revisit British Isles today. It had even more wonderful items to see. I’m trying some new food items and picked up a good book to read. This is just a great store.

You can not go wrong with this place. I drove 2 hours just to see what this store had to offer and I was beyond excited that I made the trip. For anyone wanting to treat yourself to some REAL English chocolate, tea, sweeties, chips and drinks stop by and see what goodies you can find. For my fellow englishman you will miss England and be in heaven the moment you step into this store. I couldnt believe what I was finding the more I explored and I was sure to take pictures of all the wonderful things I have missed since living in America. You will not be disappointed!

A quaint little boutique with an amazing variety. Right in the heart of Rice Village, this cozy shop has something for everybody! The tea selection is the most extensive Ive ever seen and theres even a grocery section with...[drumroll please]...HAGGIS! Theyve recently started carrying bangers as well. The main attraction here, however, is the vast gift shop. So many cool things in here to check out. You could spend hours looking and still not see it all. We drove 45 mins from Seabrook area and it was well worth the drive!

A beautiful store absolutely packed with British gifts and food. you will have no trouble finding the perfect gift in here. Its a little pricey but they have to import and pay shipping on every single item. I dont go too often but when I go Ill get some very nice treats. I love to visit around the holiday times.

We are so lucky to have a store like this in the area. I popped into the shop for some Burns Night provisions. Its such a joy to visit with such lovely people. I got my first Marmite and Haggis. Stand by for the Yank review of these items. The shop lady explained how to properly eat the Marmite. 🤞heres hoping!!! Thanks for giving us a little escape across the pond here in Houston.

We love making the trip from clear lake to this store! I am a huge Harney and Sons tea drinker and literally spend about 20 minutes every trip trying to decide which tin to get because there are so many options!Just a lovely shop!

This place is heaven!! the moment I stepped in the store, I wanted to buy everything! If you love tea,food, tea ware, gift etc. you’ll find all those in this lovely shop! Also, the most thing that made me feel excited is when I saw that they are selling TIMTAMS! I’m married to an Aussie and you know how they looooove this treat! Since pandemic time couldn’t find them at HEB anymorw where they used to sell it. So I was so happy that I found this shop and surely, I will come back! 😀😀😀😀😀

Such a fun place!! Beau took me here, he knows Ive been missing Europe since I havent been able to go home and on business travel because of Covid. He knew Id get excited about this place.There are so many things to look at, its fun looking at the cheesy souvenirs section. I really enjoyed seeing the beautiful tea-sets and of course the large variety of tea.There are a lot of snacks as well. We bought some tea and tried the sausage rolls that you finish and bake yourself in the oven.If you are from Europe, or just enjoy browsing an interesting store I advise you go stop by here.

They have all the British merchandise I was looking for and more! British Liverpool Football jerseys, British gentlemen hats, British potato chips and chocolate.

Large selection of authentic Bone China, the best in town that one can find on items specific from Britain. Staff are all very friendly. If you have craving for some childhood British candy this is the place to get it!

Gift haven!

Ive been coming to this store when I run low on Marmite, Twiglets, OXO cubes, and dark chocolate McVities for over ten years. As far as I know, this is the only British-products store in the area, so they definitely have the market cornered!Its not cheap, but many products do not have US distributors so theres not much alternative - prices are actually competitive with Amazon or Ebay. And no, eschewing Marmite is not an option.They also have UK-themed gifts and tchochkies, if thats your thing and need a dinner plate with a picture of the Queen on it.

British Isles is a West University and Rice Village staple. The eclectic selection of British items—from unique candy, tea, and honey to some of the UKs finest colognes (like Floris and Penhaligons), shaving goods, and fine china—really makes each visit a fun experience, and theyre always getting new items in. The owners are super nice and a pleasure to talk to.

Always love going here. Great staff and always a clean and well organized shop. With lots of items to choose from. There are so many good things I always have to be careful or I will fill a basket or two up. This is a must go and see shop.

British Isles is one of the most awesome stores one will venture to go in.It is fabulous merchandise. Wonderful tea selection,foods,tea pots,the list goes on and on.the birthday cards and other cards are absolutely amazing. The staff is every friendly and always helpful.it is just a wonderful store.have a wonderful little adventure and give them a visit.

W went into this store while we were visiting Houston from California. The parking was tight but we were eventually able to find a place. We ended up spending quite a bit of time in the store it is very well stocked with very diverse products. We ended up spending quite a bit of money buying stuff that we have not been able to find in the US. Going through the store brought back memories all products from back home. We also spend some time talking to the owner who is a very friendly person. Had a great time and if you are in Houston and looking for some items from England this would be a perfect place to go.

Great little store for all things British. This place has been here forever and never disappoints. They have a little of everything British. All sorts of gifts and a decently large selection of UK goodies (Teas, Biscuits, Candies, etc) packed into the back of the store. We always find something.

I have visited and shopped here since the 1970s. It has a very British cultured atmosphere and friendly staff. You will find most food and sundries imported from Britain.The most fascinating shopping experience.

This store is amazing, Im British in my head so this might be a little bit biased lol! The was like going into a toy store I literally wanted everything I saw, my son found out about it, so we had ourselves a little date, and spent hours looking at everything. The staff were a delight. I think they saw how excited I truly was and it tickled them. I cant wait for my son and I to have another date and go back!

Store is cramped and full of stock with barely passable aisles. Everything is priced as if everything is rare. I dont speak unkind about places or people, but this store is too small, too cramped, and too pricey.

This store is awesome! They’ve got a wide variety of food, tea, sweets/candy and gift items. I always like chatting with the employees on soccer. Being a big Manchester United fan, it’s nice to have a great conversation while browsing the store. I do all my Christmas shopping here and their the meat pies they sell are dynamite.

An extremely well stocked store with all sorts of different items from the UK ranging from Chocolate to soap to tea towel, to scarfs and far far more. If you are looking for an unusual gift for someone for Christmas, try here first, well worth a visit.

If youve been thinking about stopping here, just do it! It has the cutest stuff and even yummy food. They have the best selection of British goods, from kids stuff, household goods, and beautiful tea sets. I saw a commercial for it and I went the very next day. I live in Southeast Houston and it was worth the drive.

Great place to get your Brit fix. Great variety of British food/grocery items. Also lots of Brit related goods. Much better variety and selection than Fiesta! Super friendly.

Offers many items from the UK from food to curios. The British Isles offers a taste of the old world with a friendly atmosphere. The owner is a great English gentleman always available to answer questions and help customers. Local media interviews the owner routinely for comments on UK issues of interest.

Great selection of British products and items. I was able to find all my favourite biscuits and crisps I enjoy while visiting my aunt in England.

It is a very well stocked shop and has tea and tea parphinalia coming out of the wazoo. They also have fun books, beautiful china, and many British themed things. The ladies who work here are the nicest, kindest, and most helpful people you will ever meet. In summation, if you are an anglophile then this is or ought to be your home base.

They have a vast array of gift items from candies, soaps and tea towels to books, bags and China. Well established, newly expanded. Take some time to look around and you will surely find something wonderful.

I have been shopping at British Isles for years. It has The Best selection of tinned tea, both loose and bagged, I have ever seen. I am a devotee of several Harney & Sons blends, and if BI does not have one in stock they will order it. Plus many other tea brands, sweets, pottery, serving pieces, British tinned food, biscuits/cookies, etc. I absolutely love this shop.

The staff were extremely helpful and choice of goods/memorabilia here is fantastic. However, the pricing is much higher than some of the online stores and in smaller quantities. It isnt bad as a place to stop in and pick up some stuff occasionally but if youre a regular buyer, Id recommend going to some of the online retailers instead.

Pretty awesome selection, friendly staff and located in a good shopping area. British Isles is a fitting name, carries more than just England/English themed items. They cover the isles. Great place to grab tea time snacks and of course tea. Also a good place to take someone visiting from out of town that wants a unique shopping experience.

As a British Citizen living in Oklahoma we travel to Texas regularly and whenever I am in Houston this is always on my list of places to visit and stock up on wonderful things I miss. They have everything I could need including birthday cards with Mum on which I cannot for obvious reasons get over here. There is also a British imports shop in Dallas but between the two this one is my utter favourite. Cheaper prices, better selection and friendlier employees!! Definately give it a visit no matter what Nationality, you wont be disappointed!!

Weve been shopping here since 2001, and have never been disappointed. The owners are friendly and helpful, and will even sometimes do special orders for expats. Normally you wont need special orders, though, because they carry an excellent selection of Commonwealth-expected seasonal items (such as fancy Easter eggs, Christmas candies, etc).

This store was amazing! Great customer service; excellent produce! Not too long of lines at checkout!

Everything you want from the UK!

This is such a unique little shop and they have a very wide selection to choose from. I spent a long time just browsing. They sell some of my favorite brands of china including Royal Albert, Pip Studio, and Emma Bridgewater. The staff are so nice and helpful as well.

I love this store. It has all things British such as chocolates, cookies and chips (or crisp as the Brits calls it). They also have delicious frozen sausages and meatpies.You can also pick up the British Royal family souvenirs. They also have tons of fine Chinas on display, so if you go into this store with kids, make sure they keep their hands in their pockets :) The staffs are really friendly, cheerful and always willing to help.
