I wanted a blacked out Dodge Charger and could only find one at Helfman Dodge. It wasn’t actually there when I went to test drive the car but I put my money down to save it and anxiously waited for it to come in. I worked with Tyrel Evans who was amazing to work with. When I’m ready to get my Jeep Wrangler I will be back to work with Tyrel again!
Worst service ever in over 30 years of driving.Had a problem with the Start/Stop system on a Jeep Grand Cherokee 2021, brought to the dealership and they diagnosed a faulty auxiliary battery. They replaced the battery and said the problem was fixed. When driving out the screen showed a different error message Stop/Start Not Ready. They said that the error would go away after driving some miles... I drove the car for 2 weeks and the error did not go away... Brought it back to the dealership, and after having the car for 2 days diagnosed a problem with the battery voltage sensor. They replaced the sensor and said problem fixed.... I went to pick up the car and then noticed the exact same error message after driving out! Car is under warranty, but I have wasted so much time on this problem I will never go back to this dealer again.Clearly the technician and the service representative did not check the car before returning it. Zero quality control. Also nobody answers the phone, everybody only wants to use text messaging. Like they are all hiding.What a waste of time. Totally frustrated with the whole situation. I thought Helfman had a serious business, looks like it is going in the wrong direction...

I recommend this place because Matt and Francisco made me feel so welcome as family, they both went above and beyond on trying for my husband (sunday) and I to get the vehicle we wanted. They were both extremely helpful, patient, and trusted trying over and over for us to qualify for the vehicle we wanted to get, that means alot. When I first purchased my first vehicle it was at a nissan dealer but didnt feel that welcome like matt and francisco did. Thanks so much guys for making it happen.
Talked to gentleman named Oscar about wanting to test drive a car. We were left waiting outside for 15+ minutes and he never returned. We went inside and saw him talking to someone else so we just left. I’m not sure what happened. He definitely could have communicated better.

This dealership is very unprofessional and has treated me rude through every encounter. I purchased a new vehicle and it was given to me without being thoroughly detailed and had a scratch on the hood and bumper. Instead of instantly acknowledging their wrongdoing, the sales person, Phillip Houston, contnued to lie and say that the car was detailed despite looking at dusty shoe marks and dust on the console.Phillip Houston also text my phone with inapproriate text messages that were Im guessing intended for his partner. I was then told after I paid, that my second key was locked up and I would have to drive back 45 minutes to get the key. They could have told me that in advance or simply not locked my key up. The manager tried to make the situation better because Mr. Houston was extremely rude and unprofessional. I was told I would get a call when my plates had arrived. I never received a call, rather a postcard in the mail. So when I finally am able to take time from work to go pick up everything, after 3pm, I am told that they wont be able to fix the scratch tomorrow and I cant speak to a manager because it is his day off.If you spend a large amount of money to purchase a vehicle, dont expect to get the service you deserve from this dealership.

Worst sales experience ever! The salesman couldnt have cared less we were spending $36000. We had to literally drag information about the car out of him. We loved the car so we rolled with it.We drove from Austin to Houston to pick up our new car so excited. Helfman Dodge couldnt be bothered to even fill it up. We noticed there was 1/4 tank after we drove off the lot and were shocked. Every car we ever purchased was filled up before we drove off the lot.

I went to get my car serviced on Friday, April 2 and arrived just before 10:00am. I was tended to right away, as it was not busy, and my car was taken promptly to get an oil change and state inspection. As I was waiting several other people came long after me and left before me. I waited and waited and finally the service advisor approached me with an update on my vehicle at 11:30am (1.5 hours later). He said they were done servicing my car and it was currently being washed and it should be done soon. This put me at ease knowing I will soon be able to leave. I let 20 minutes go by without a care figuring they were detailing my car, then 30 minutes passed, then when 45 minutes later I hadn’t received my car I decided to go ask the advisor the status of my vehicle. He said he would check on it and let me know. Once he came back he told me they had not started washing my car yet. This infuriated me because when he gave me an update at 11:30am he told me it was being washed and now 45 minutes later I find out they haven’t even started on it. Adding insult to injury, he proceeded to tell me “new cars are priority” and I could wait or come back another day. Of course I told him I wanted my car ASAP and I will be emailing Steven Olsen regarding my experience. I was finally gone by 12:30pm without a car wash and wasted time.Steven Olsen had offered me a free oil change and car detail for my next visit (which was this visit) due to having a bad experience on my previous visit. I have been coming to get my car serviced since 2015 because it is where I bought my car. This location is nowhere near my home nor my work so I go out of my way to come here but will not be returning as it looks like they care more about the sale than taking care of customers after the fact.

Rating 4.5 - Dealership was very helpful with oil change and gave update on what needed to be done to further the life of my Dodge. They also fixed a blinker. They did not, however, leave my truck cleaner than when I dropped it off.
Customer service is horrible! the way they approach you as a customer is unacceptable. they tell you that they have a million customers and if you dont like the price you can leave! they gave me a trade in value thats 6K below every dealer in town! when I told them that and had proof of it, the response was why am I not at those dealers.

Let me start by saying I had a very GREAT experience with Jorge Escobar in pre-owned sales. He is a very knowledgeable and polite young man. Never once did I feel forced or uncomfortable. He answered all my questions and if he didn’t know the answer, he made sure to find out. Made my buying experience very easy and quick. He was straight forward about everything and made sure there was no surprises at the end of the sale. I will definitely recommend him and would go back to him when I am ready for another vehicle.
My 17 year son brought his Jeep Wrangler to Helfman for a simple tire rotation and oil change. After a diagnostic check they informed him the vehicle needed a lot of work and quoted nearly $1,000.I called them to walk me through the quote and of course, as expected, much of the work wasn’t required. They were just taking advantage of a young man.We agreed a new service scope and they went ahead and completed the work. But after my son got his car home the check engine light came on. I called them and they asked me to bring the vehicle back. On arrival they told us they will need to do another diagnostic check at $155 plus tax.....to investigate why the check engine light is on after the service they performed!!!No chance! I’ve taken the car to another place. Really poor customer service, their business model is clear, exploit their customers on the service, this customer won’t be back...ever!!
Worst new car buying experience in my life. For starters we do not live in Houston. Found car we wanted there online, spoke with few salesmen and went through the steps to get pre-approved and all ducks in row. Final salesmen was Bryon. He said would work with us and held car we wanted until we got there. My wife and I had to take a day off work and drive over 4 hours to get there. First thing Bryon says is he cannot find our application and we need to start process over. After argue we did this all ready he magically finds the paper work. He then refuses to work with us on our trade in and cost of vehicle. All he was worried about is that he was off work in 6min and wanted us to hurry up. My wife asked him to work with us or we would walk, he basically said there is the door and let us walk. I would avoid this dealership if can and if do need to go here avoid Bryon at all cost. He does not care at all about you.

Unlike other places I have been to, they offered both drop off and pick up through Alto taxi service, which is very nice.Servicing is also very good. I bought a 2021 ram 3500 Laramie from Bryon Crombie. The whole process was handled over the phone with great communication, everything was figured out in a timely manner. When I got to the dealership they had all the paper work ready, I was in and out of the dealership within about 30 minutes!
We had the pleasure of being taken care of by Hugo Cuevas. He was heaven sent, literally!! We were searching for a 2021 Ram tradesmen for weeks!! Every dealer we would go to, they either didn’t have it, just sold it, or were plain rude and trying to up their price. We were so discouraged and just thinking about giving up. My brother happen to pass by the dealership and called for us. He was greeted on the phone by Hugo, and passed along his information to us. I am so glad he did. Our experience at Helfman Dodge went exceptionally well because Hugo took good care of us. We had been praying for favor in a good deal, and an honest salesman. And I believe that’s exactly what we got. Hugo, was kind, respectful, honest, and even had good humor. He respectfully left the room so my husband and I could discuss as we were trying to get into agreement on numbers. He listened to us, what we wanted, and didn’t want. I really felt like he was working for us, and trying to take care of us. Overall we had an overwhelming peace in our hearts, and felt led to close on the deal. Hugo made it easy for us, took the time to explain to us how it worked, speaking Spanish was a plus! He carried himself very professional. May I also add that I loved that we weren’t cornered by all the salesman upon our arrival. I loved that they let us breath, and when we were ready to reach out and ask for Hugo, I absolutely loved that none of his co-workers denied him or tried taking us from him. Believe it or not, we had been to another dealer where the guys (salesman) were grimy like that. It was so wrong. And speaks badly of ones character. Anyways we would like to say thank you, Helfman Dodge treated us right, and made it possible to drive off the lot with the truck we wanted. You won’t regret looking here!!! And we most definitely recommend Hugo!!!

I purchased a Maserati yesterday from Gene Smith. I highly recommend using him if you’re interested in this type of car. He is very laid back and easy to deal with, we never felt pressured. Gene is knowledgeable about the vehicles and was able to answer all of our questions and got me an amazing deal to top it all off.
I called and placed very specific parameters on the truck I was looking for, and Tim, one of their sales guys said he was looking up the exact truck I wanted and in my price range. I drove an hour to come check it out since their website wasn’t working well. I get there and the only truck they had on the entire lot was $10k over budget. Wasted my time, money, and breathe in a dealership I thought I trusted.

Came to use one of my prepaid oil changes through RAM Care, which is PREPAID. I did not buy my truck here, but it was closer to my house and I was told they were a part of the RAM care program.I was then forced to pay a $30 “Misc Charge”, which I was told is a minimum charge since I didn’t buy my truck at this dealership. All I can say is I sure won’t buy my next one here with the obvious nickel and dime’ing.Also, if you can any to use an oil change you already paid for, try any other of the dozen RAM dealerships in Houston... maybe you’ll have better luck than me.
Sales department sucks but that’s my opinion base observation. No customer service unless you meet their profile of a potential customer. Service Department will give you a perception of a pleasant experience but you might want to question some of the additional recommended services and compare prices. They have one of the highest service prices in area but also have a fast and convenient service.

This review pertains only to the Aftermarket. When I purchased my Jeep Wrangler in 2016, I intentionally had aftermarket purchased through a licensed Jeep dealer in the event there were any issues, they would be taken care of. When I purchased my aftermarket equipment, Bryon was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I asked Bryon how my standard Jeep warranty would be effected and was told that the aftermarket warranty would be even better. So, less than 20k miles later on my Jeep and 1,300 miles away from Houston, there was a mechanical integrity issue (failure) on the top bracket of my rear shock. I contacted Bryon and he was responsive and I sent him the below phone alone with the original PO. This is were things went downhill. Several hours later, some underling calls me back and said there would be no coverage since the warranty was beyond 3 years or 36,000 miles. Its a shame this is the position they took for a $45 part and probably 5 minutes of a mechanics time. FYI, Ive had obvious mechanical integrity issues fixed by other dealers at no cost even when outside warranty before. Dealerships have this latitude. Its a shame that instead of customer service, theyre more interested in parroting from a canned script.

Went to Mac Haik on Katy Fwy to purchase a Jeep on April, 2 2021. Got a call from the dealer ONE MONTH later that I did not get approved for the loan! Mac Haik said they needed their Jeep back and that they will give me my trade in back? I was shocked! I’ve never had such bad experience and wasted time at any other dealer. Thankfully Richard Medina, was able to assist in a timely manner! Traded in my 2013 Jeep Wrangler for a 2021! 🤙🏽

I didn’t like the experience I would never recommend someone to come here because of the way I look no one wanted to help me I had good credit score and a good down payment and 1 guy came and ask if I needed help I said yes I would like to look at a charger and test drive it and he said he would come back with the keys I stood by the car for like 15 min and I walked around waiting for the guy and never showed back up very unprofessional of this place so I took my business to gulf gate dodge instead because I was recommended that place and they help me out and work with me and got me in what I wanted in the price range I wanted.
My husband and I were searching for a vehicle as mine had finally bitten the bullet. After parking and walking to look at their inventory, my husband was approached by Mr. Zuriel (Zero). I normally dont like talking to salespeople but Zuriel listened and answered our questions without all the extra word garage that most salespeople love to use. Though he was a new vehicle specialist, he ended up walking us over to the used lot and showed us a vehicle that ended up being EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED!!! I could not be more pleased with the vehicle, the purchase process, and overall level of service that Zuriel provided my husband and I at this dealership. He might have received a bit of hate from the used vehicle salespeople for intruding on their side of the dealership but he handled it with a level of calm and professionalism that really spoke to how much of an awesome person he was. Great experience! A lot of times salespeople will walk out and do the financial calls or talk with a manager and just leave you in the room waiting, but Cesar explained everything that he was doing and would even come in and apologize and explain what was going on. I wasnt even approved yet, and he was already getting the truck detailed for me, thats how confident they are that they can help. My next vehicle will definitely be bought through Cesar here at Helfman Dodge.
Great place for services, called and spoke with service technicians and they helped identify what my issue could be over the phone. I had my vehucle back after 2 days running great again. They helped me out alot and I will be back for services even though its a drive from my home. Its hard to find a dealership that doesnt make you feel like your getting run around.

I came to River Oaks Jeep for an experience and they provided just that.Sam walked me through each type of Jeep Grand Cherokee that I was interested in and he also made recommendations based upon my needs. Ultimately I ended up choosing the Jeep he recommended. Sam also introduced my family and I to the owner Mr. Helfman. Very satisfied with my 2020 Charger at a competitive lease price. Bryon Crombie, the Internet Sales Manager at Helfman was very accommodating and professional. I was able to order my vehicle from the factory in Brampton, ON and it arrived within 4 weeks. I was impressed that you could special order a vehicle even for the purposes of a 3-year lease. Personally, I found it more practical to order a vehicle from the factory to my specifications rather than vising numerous websites and searching dealer inventory. Overall, excellent experience.
Took my Jeep in a few days ago to have some recalls fixed. First i knew the Fuel Pump relay had gone bad and was leaving the pump running constantly. That ended up killing my battery, so i replaced it with a new one. So i take my car in and the next day i get an email saying that all recalls have been fixed but since they had to jump my car off i had an issue with the charging system that was going to cost me $156 to test and see what the problem was. Apparently they didnt take into consideration that leaving the car all night with that pump running would kill the battery. And tried telling me that the pump had nothing to do with it, it was a separate issue. I declined them testing it and brought it home. What do ya know, my car is running perfectly fine! Cant believe they tried to con me out of additional money for a problem that didnt exist. I was planning on buying my 3rd Jeep from there in a few months but i believe i may take my business elsewhere now.UPDATE: Just found out they left my panel in this condition. Yea, Im definitely finished with them.

I like my dodge vehicle. I’m a 100% disabled veteran and needed to transfer my disabled plates to new vehicle. I have done this every time I buy a new vehicle. They assured me it would be taken care of. So when I called up last week, they said the plates are here and I said are they my disabled plates and he said they forgot to do the transfer and will have my correct plates by Friday. So today it’s Saturday and I came to get me plates and now they say my county won’t transfer the plates due to COVID. What does COVID have anything to do with it. I paid for plates that I can not use and now have to pay again for disabled plates. If they treat 100% disabled veterans this way, how do the treat everyone else. Do not walk away from this dealership, run as fast as you can. Many other great dodge dealers in the Houston area.
I had a great experience with Helfman Dodge/Jeep. They were very competitive with their pricing and didnt make me feel pressured to buy - they simply asked me what they needed to do to get my business ... other dealerships advertised low prices but then added 2-4k on the price for “Dealer Addons” a cheap trick to get you in the door. The sales manager drove my vehicle out to me and stayed to go over all the features. He was pleasant and knowledgeable. The entire process was a great surprise.....not the dreaded drawn out process that makes you feel like you lost an entire day waiting. Thank You Bryon!!
The Service Dept here used to be great but has fallen off considerably as of my last visit. They misdiagnosed an oil leak blaming it on the Jiffy Lube I use and wanted $150 to fix it and it wasn’t even the real problem. They upsold me on a front end alignment that did not fix an issue I had either and when they couldn’t get to a third issue I had on day 3 they made a big fuss about my asking to release my car before the could attempt to address it. Poor.
