Treats of Mexico is a small gem! They have unique dessert treats that are Delicious as a majority of them are created in house! They also sell candy & snacks that are authentically from Mexico! They sell Mangonadas, Ice Cream, & other lovely treats. My to go to order is the mangonada & some ice cream. Their mangonada is unique as one can taste the actual mango & view the actual color of the mango which lets one know that they create it from scratch. It is not too sweet, just sweet enough. They do NOT bombard the mangonada with chamoy candy, they add the perfect amount to enjoy the flavorsome iced treat. I also ordered the Nuez ice cream which was decent. At first I thought there was no pecans in it but as I continued scooping, I saw the pecans emerge! They also have concha sandwiches which have your ice cream of choice inside of the concha. I would definitely suggest for anyone to try this gem, you’ll be delighted afterwards.

Stopped by here for a fresh treat and I was beyond impressed with the service and authenticity. Sonia the owner was so sweet, she even gave us samples of her home made arroz con leche! Yum! Definitely plan to return as a must stop in Houston.

Just left from there. They have authentic Mexican chips, candy. Chocolate abuelita ice cream! Concha ice cream sandwich. They patient with my kids. Even though my son was touching everything. Will be coming back!

This little shop is nestled right in the heart of an awesome local shopping center with a lot of unique shops. We gave the almond mocha ice cream a try which was absolutely delicious. It came with a big chocolate wafer stuck in the scoop. We also tried the pineapple shaved ice which was like frozen pineapple shaved, it was also delicious and a delightful way to escape this Houston heat even for just a few minutes. I also was able to snag a few bags of Doritos from Mexico and next time plan on getting an Alebrije for my collection. Definitely a must if you are in the area!

Great little place! Good assortment of mexican candy and other goodies. The chamollada, prepared bag of chips and the ice cream were the best. Great costumer service and extremely helpful. But Be worn No restrooms in this little gem, but you are kindly sent to Bohemios.

The best places are always hidden gems 💎 You can’t go wrong with any item on the menu, but my all time favorite will forever be the chocolate abuelita ice cream inside the vanilla concha. The first bit will take you to a place your mouth hasn’t been to as the flavorful ice cream wedged into a warm and fluffy concha is the perfect mix. It has the perfect amount of sweetness as it’s not over bearing like most desserts that leave you asking for a drink of water. This you can enjoy it all without the need to relive your mouth with a water break. I hope your taste buds leave happy and satisfied like mine did.

Zero stars if that was an option. I walked in at 6:30 pm today and I have a service pet. My pet has her service vest & card but as soon as we walked in, a women up front said “sorry she can’t be in here”. I stated that I could provide her with my service pet ID where she could contact the ADA if it was really an issue. Instead she rolled her eyes and walked away so we walked out. I rather spend my money elsewhere because obviously this business doesn’t deserve it. So if you have a disability, don’t waste your time because they don’t respect that. Oh and yes I will be reporting my experience! UPDATE: since the owner claims he/she saw no vest, we actually took pictures outside this business with my pet because it looked pretty on the outside and we were traveling! The vest clearly says “Service Animal. DO NOT PET” but I guess whoever greeted us must of spoken too soon. Still don’t recommend this place because this isn’t how you treat customers. If having a service animal in this business WASN’T an issue, there was no need for the eye roll or attitude. Never have we been treated like that because before you speak on someone’s situation, the proper way to handle it would be to ask beforehand. HOWEVER, we did find a place with much better customer service only a few minutes down the road called Refresqueria Tampico & the treats there are delicious! 😋

I stumbled upon this place by accident, but Im absolutely glad I did! Not only were the owners extremely helpful they were excited that a new person had a chance to try their ice cream for the first time! I ended up trying the CHOCOLATE ABUELITA ice cream and WOW it was so creamy and delicious! I ended up buying some other little treats because yall already know that mexican candy is delicious!!!

Love this place! They have the best Abuelita hot chocolate flavored ice cream. They also have other unique ice cream flavors, such as tequila. I visited with my family a few months ago and the owners were super friendly and accommodating. They offered us ice cream samples, as well as samples of other treats on their menu. Went back last week while it was pouring rain outside and almost went back home because the walk from the car to the store would have left us drenched. We called the shop and they took our order over the phone and had it ready for us to run in and grab. So worth it! They made sure our ice cream was covered properly so it would make it back to the car. Hopefully in the future we can find their menu online, but they helped us with that over the phone. Owners were wearing masks, blocked off the seating area. Because of the pandemic I hesitate to go out unnecessarily but I definitely felt safe getting their ice cream to-go. On a regular day you can sit and enjoy your treats inside their shop and you’d feel like you’re actually in Mexico. Can’t wait to go back to try other items on their menu!

Their selection of snacks is amazing! I absolutely loved the mangonadas and the ice cream in between the concha. I recommend trying the abuelita ice cream it is so spot on!

Everything Is Soooo GOOD!

This place makes the most BEAUTIFUL looking pineapple chamoyada. And it has a really cute interior, with neat-looking Mexican décor and snacks. But I resent this place a bit for only offering one enormous size for $6 -- unless I come with someone else, I feel like Im wasting it :( which sucks most of my friends dont like chamoy. Also, no public restroom is lame.

I came in with my husband and 5 year old son for the first time and my son had to pee and they said no restrooms. This shocked me and was very disappointing what if some one got sick eating there where would they go to the restroom???? I had to get back in our car and drive down the street to jack in the box .I will also be contacting health and human services this is unacceptable, children can not hold it .if I could give a 0 I would .

Excellent Service! A yummy variety of all the things that I miss from Mexico! The owners are super sweet and very patient when youre trying to finalize your choice from all of their homemade ice cream treats they have. Definitely go here if you want something different than your usual boring ice cream shops.

Mexican treats! The Elote was delicious. We also tried the ice cream and sorbet (which has different names in the shop but I cant recall them right now) and those were delicious as well! Id definitely return. The person helping us was very patient and answered all of our questions about the different store offerings. Great place for a treat!!

I ordered a corn in a cup & a shaved ice (nieve) and it was super tasty! This place is in my neighborhood and I was excited to try it out and support local. My reason for a 4 star was that the small shop was very cluttered (boxes and stuff everywhere), no space for social distancing at all and I didn’t feel like they’d cleaned it in ages by the way it looked. I didn’t want to be rude but I think it’s imperative that businesses go the extra mile to make their spaces clean & neat always but especially now. The guy who gave me my shaved ice wasn’t even wearing a mask. ;( food was good tho! And from pictures it looks like it was once a cute shop!

Very nice experience. The staff are nice and very welcoming, they make you feel welcomed even if your staying briefly. I would come again, food is also very good would recommend the watermelon with chamoy and chili powder.

Homemade ice cream very creamy and delicious, my dog loves their vanilla so much he ate the whole scoop in one bite lol. My favorite is the pistachio, yum. Looking forward to trying all the cold treats and candies they offer.

Beautiful place. It reminded me of the sweet shops in Mexico. The ice cream is homemade and resembles ice cream from Guanajuato and Tepoztlan. It was delicious! The most authentic Ive had in the 12 years of living here. It reminded me of my childhood! 😁😁❤ p.s. their abuelita chocolate ice cream is the best!!

If you love Mexican sweats and even if you dont you MUST try this place. We are there almost once a week. They also have the best elote Ive ever had. Sonia and Fransisco are warm and friendly, its like visiting family to go there.

Ice cream & churros aren’t all that but the Nieve de Garafa is delicious! Takes me back to the couple of times I tried it in Mexico. They have a lot of Mexican snacks chips and candy which are all really good.
