I’m so happy I chose to get my dress at Joan Pillow. During my first visit, Terry helped me and she is just the sweetest and not pushy at all. She was so helpful and was my point of contact during the whole dress journey. Terry has been so helpful and I can’t thank her enough. During my second visit, Joan and Courtney helped me and they even let me video chat with my mom who was in Taiwan so that she could see the dresses too. And it wasn’t weird at all! Betty the seamstress is also so sweet and made my dress fit like a glove. She created the most beautiful bustle I’ve ever seen and it stayed intact during my entire reception despite the cathedral train and super heavy fabric. She was so patient with me, my sister-in-law, and my two moms during the entire process. I encountered two other girls recently during my third and fourth fittings and didn’t catch their names but they were also sweet as pie! My dress was the highlight of my wedding and I couldn’t have picked a better bridal store. Thank you Joan Pillow!!

I had the BEST experience at Joan Pillow.. the first dress was the ONE for me & Joan was absolutely amazing to work with. Her staff was very friendly and made the experience unforgettable. These dresses are stunning, every single one is beautiful and this store is unlike any other bridal store Ive ever been too. I recommend all brides go to Joan Pillow for their perfect dress!

This past weekend my sister and I went to Joan Pillow to get her wedding dress. To say the Joan Pillow bridal store was anything less than perfection would be an understatement. Joan was there helping pick dresses for my sister to try on and was incredibly sweet. The dress my sister ended up buying is absolutely stunning and a one of a kind. The entire store is filled with gorgeous dresses of all different styles. I would recommend Joan Pillow to any and all brides. You will find the gown of your dreams, just like my sister did.

Couldnt recommend Joan Pillow more! They have a great selection of beautiful wedding gowns and Joan has the best eye for what the bride wants. Everything was dealt with such care and detail, from the moment we walked in until the moment we chose the dress. A fabulous experience!

My daughter found her gorgeous wedding dress at Joan Pillow this past weekend. With such a beautiful salon and exceptional service, I have only good things to say.. We were so fortunate to work with Joan. Joan was so sweet, knowledgable, and extremely helpful in all aspects. JOAN PILLOW was our first and only stop with such a stunning dress selection. Thanks Joan for making my daughters day one she will never forget.

I bought my dress at Joan Pillow after three visits. I cant describe how peaceful the bridal salon is and how special you feel when you try on dresses. Terry assisted me and she is so professional and sweet, I highly recommend her. I have been to other bridal salons in Houston, and the dresses at Joan Pillow are by far the best. Gorgeous gorgeous dresses. I felt amazing in all of them.

Joan Pillow bridal might work for some brides, but it did not work for me.As a bride on a budget, their selection is very high-end; dress prices started at $5k. If youre willing to spend a pretty penny on a dress, Im sure they have plenty of selections for brides and couples with a higher budget. But for me, they only had 4 designs under $5200.I also did NOT like how the sample sizes are VERY small... I am not a plus-size bride, yet I couldnt physically put on 2 of the dresses that were pulled for me because they wouldnt fit around my hips or shoulders. They felt almost like petite size dresses and it was very frustrating.I also had Joan as my bridal consultant and as excited as I was to work with the owner, she did not come across very helpful, and told me you are just not small enough for my dresses. It was a little insulting and my bridal party was quite upset.In the end, I only spent about 15 minutes trying on gowns and the appointment was done within 30 minutes. Im not very happy with my experience but this boutique might be better suited for other brides in different circumstances.

Horrible experience at this bridal salon, I hate to even give it 1 star. When we arrived for our appointment, Joan was having a very heated discussion with another bride and her family. The bride was told her appointment was early in the day and that she had now missed her appointment. The bride and her family were refusing to leave until Joan made good on the appointment. Joan told the family if the next appointment didnt show up they could have it. We arrived 15 minutes early and heard this whole conversation. We raised our hands and said that we were the next appointment. The family still refused to leave and they sat down in some chairs in the salon. The chairs also happened to be by the area we were sitting in. The family stared us down the whole entire visit, which ended up lasting not even 15 min. Joan was completely distracted by this family. Every time she walked out of the dressing room with my daughter she would glance over at them and not pay us any attention. Joan was more worried about this other family than helping my daughter find her wedding dress. The same thing happened after she tried on the 2nd dress. We decided to leave the salon after the 2nd try on since Joans attention was elsewhere. We were very disappointed since we drove in from Louisiana and the appointment had been booked a couple of months in advanced. We told Joan we were done trying on dresses. She immediately turned to that other family and said I can now help you, they are leaving. This was the first day to go wedding dress shopping for my daughter and Joan ruined the entire experience for us.

I want to thank Courtney for all her help and suggestions throughout my appointment. I came alone to my appointment and she really acted as a friend to me. She gave me extremely good advice. If you decide to make an appointment at Joan Pillow please ask for Courtney. Trust me!If you make more than one bridal appointment in one day make sure to leave enough time to get to your next one because yes they might get to you a little later than what your appointment was scheduled for BUT the attention they give you once your appointment starts is amazing.I think I went to every store in Houston and the surrounding area. All stores had a great selection of dresses and were really sweet and helpful (except AMORE bridal also known as The Bridal Depot)

Joan Pillow has been dressing me this last year for so many fabulous events! My experience with everyone there has been fabulous, and the ambience is perfect! I am so excited to have them here in Houston and to know that they have so much more than wedding gowns, the evening clothes are wonderful! Thanks so much!

I absolutely loved my entire experience at Joan Pillow, every appointment and fitting was amazing. The whole staff was accommodating in every way from appointments to alterations they did an outstanding job! She has the best selection of dresses by far Ive any other bridal salon in Houston! I would highly recommend her store to anyone!

This is the best bridal store in Houston. I went to many different stores, tried all types of dresses in various price ranges and I ended up with Joan Pillow because it had the best service, the best quality and the best variety. Highly recommended! Ask for Jenan or Courtney :)

While I cant say my experience was completely horrible. I can definitely understand the negative reviews complaining about poor service. I drove in from out of town to see two specific gowns from a trunk show, one of which ended up not being there at all. This frustrated me since the day before I had called to confirm my appt and they had the style number of the two gowns I was going to look at. I would hope at this point they would have informed me one of the gowns was not there since they had already begun the trunk show and were aware of the styles they had and did not have. Beyond that, I had a general feeling of being neglected...no one was necessarily rude, but when going to an upscale boutique with plans of spending upward of $10k on a gown I guess I expected to be wowed by customer service. Majority of the time my friend was having to help me in and out of dresses because Joan was nowhere to be found, this turned me off. I was made to feel that they had other more important things to do. Joan was pleasant when she did make it around to check on me, but overall there are other high end bridal salons that would be better options for a bride searching for a gown.

The staff at Joan Pillow completely dropped the ball. I was and still am deeply upset by the entire experience. When we walked in, there was no one there to help us. After 10 minutes of waiting, I met my consultant, who was lovely, but who had no idea that they were holding a specific gown for me. When she went to the back to get it, she brought out the wrong dress. Avoiding panic, I quickly flipped to the photo of the gown I had so often described to the associates who assured me it was there at the store. Turns out, someone dropped the ball, and the gown we flew all the way to Houston to see was nowhere to be found. My very first experience in trying on wedding dresses was deeply upsetting and ruined. I would not recommend Joan Pillow to any bride who has reasonable expectations of service. I am just so disappointed in this place.

So disappointed. Bought a beautiful monique lhuillier dress, dream dress, and the service fell flat. Do not buy your wedding dress at Joan pillow bridal. The tailoring experience was very bad. We had to ask 10 times to have the bra sewn in before it happened. I asked to have a button/clasp added to the front of the inner lining so it would be shortened the same as the rest of the dress for when I wore my flats, that never happened which meant I was constantly stepping on my dress on the wedding day. Also, the bustle was very poorly done, the weight of the dress was not considered and ALL the buttons broke/tore off within about an hour. Ruined the nice fabric of the dress. When I wrote and called to make my complaint I only got the response that the manager was not in (several times) and she would reach out to me. I never heard back. I expected more from a bridal salon that considers itself elite. Very disappointing. Dont even deserve one star. Service was very bad.

If you’re looking for a top of the line, attention to detail store. Then this IS NOT the place for you. I flew in from Los Angeles to help my best friend pick out her wedding dress, along with her family from Chicago and New York. We arrived to Joan Pillows, nobody greeted us for almost 20 minutes, which seemed like an eternity in an extremely small show room. When we finally were met with someone, we were told that the woman (who we had an appointment with) was helping another group who had shown up without an appointment - which apparently happens at this store during trunk season - as we were told. Excuse after excuse came, their computers were down, they were over booked, etc. THE OWNER, Joan herself managed to come over to try and make small talk to the bride and asked where the wedding was, while she was answering she cut off my friend to shout “HI!” and walk away rudely to talk to someone she obviously found more important. After informing someone that we had other appointments to get to, we were finally given a “room” for the bride to change in. A storage closet. And now they have the audacity to text and call asking if we are interested in the $10,000 dress. If you’re a bride, take your money elsewhere. GET BETTER SERVICE, there is no way they will make your day special.

LOVE~LOVE~LOVE~ After searching around my dreamed dress for two years, I finally said yes to my beautiful Monique Lhuillier wedding gown here!Joan Pillow was the first bridal Salon I visited in my life. Since I havent decided the wedding location yet, I did not even make an appointment when I first walked-in. The store looks so elegant and intimate. There were other ladies at the store, but Courtney still helped me to try on a lot of gowns and took tons of pictures for me to think about. I explained her my situation, she was very happy to help, very patient and not push. The other staffs are also nice and supportive, so I dont understand why some people have low point reviews for the customer service. I got my heart on the Monique Lhuillier dress after this wonderful experience.Until last thanksgiving, I decide to have a beach destination wedding, so I started searching the dress again. After visiting several high end bridal salons in town, I set my heart on two gowns. One is the Monique Lhuillier dress I had in mind since last year, which is romantic & elegant. The other one is from another bridal salon, but more provocative & sexy. I was really struggling between them as they are totally different style. During my frustration, my consultant Courtney helped me to analyzed how different styles those two gowns are, and how they will go with my wedding theme. (Beach wedding with Tiffany blue color theme). She even spent a lot of her off work time to answer my questions though text messages. So I decide to go with the Monique Lhuillier dress still.I am so happy that I made the right decision, because when I looked back at the other gown after several weeks, I already felt it is not as charming as the first time I tried it on. I also got a Monique Lhuillier veil to match the gown. The whole price was a little over my budget, but Courtney was able to ship the gown to my friend out of state to avoid tax.Another important thing, the Monique Lhuillier manufacture sent me the wrong color veil with my gown. I even did not notice it until I compare it with sample veil at store. But Courtney has really good eyes to catch the tiny difference between almond and ivory color. So she went back and forth to the manufacture to fix the problem for me. Again, I feel really lucky to have her as my consultant. Otherwise, my big day will be awkward.Overall, Im so happy with my experience at Joan Bridal Salon. And I would love to recommend Courtney to be the consultant for every brides-to-be. Bless~~~~
