This is a charming little shop! I visited as part of a Wheres Waldo search for local businesses. There is a hodgepodge of local handcrafted items such as cards and pins. I especially adore the Sit & Read section. The owner is very pleasant, and she gave me some history of the area. I bought a Reading Is My Superpower button. I plan to visit again soon!

The name says it all! I did get a LIFT by going in there. It smells great when you walk in. Very calming atmosphere. Lots of little goodies, ie magnets, charms, jewelry, books, coasters (with the Heights/zip codes on them). Sage sticks for your house & a kids area in the back. Definitely a must! I will be back!

Great place to find gifts for readers, co-workers, your boss, and creatives. Excellent childrens book selection. If you remember Little Golden Books like The Pokey Little Puppy, and The Saggy, Baggy Elephant, The Lift has them. Also, a great selection of wild & groovy socks!

The Lift is a cute unique shop to find gifts, fun items, and a good selection of adult and childrens books. I go out of my way to visit the Lift, the fact that its in a great location is a plus too! The store is super well designed despite being a small store and youre sure to find something you like!

Great, quaint little store! I like to call it the knick-knack shop. Excellent for gift-shopping, crazy sock buying, and a wide selection of stationary. They also are ecologically aware. Top notch!

This place is GREAT! The selection of books is wonderful. No trash novels, no worthless mind munchers. Just great books. Also, great socks. And cards. And, well, everything.

Cute knick knacks, mugs, socks, jewellery, regional gifts and a kids section. Some very unique gifts in store as well. 5 stars because not only did I like it but I also purchased some gifts here! Something will catch your eye here, and when I come back from my travels I can say I picked this up for you in Texas :)

Such a cute little store!!! This place is a stationary addicts dream. They have a lot of different items I havent seen anywhere else or online. Perfect place to find original gifts. The sales lady was super nice and she wrapped up my purchase beautifully so when I opened up my items at home I felt like Id gotten a gift. Very nice touch. The whole block of surrounding stores are also very original, great block to waste a few hours browsing and shopping!

The Lift is one of my favorite new stores. The story is tiny, yet packed with so many fun things! My husband and I wanted to do more local shopping and this was a great place to do it.

This store on 19th street in the Heights is a favorite stop for many. The owner is very friendly and attentive to customers. While the selection of used books is not large enough to characterize the store primarily as a bookstore, the selection of science, mystery, sci-fi, young adult, regional cookbooks, and fiction is well-curated to find something of interest. The store offers a good selection of cards, funny magnets, Fred products, silver jewelry, and small gifts that make it a great place to stop for a hostess gift or a stocking stuffer for the holidays.

I shop at The Lift on a regular basis, mostly for small gifts and stationary. Rhonda and her staff are helpful and attentive, and I can always find what I need (even if Im not sure what it is until I get there).
