This establishment is unique and perfect because of the incredible selections, but the icing on the cake is the owner, Jean. What bliss to enter her special store...

Beautiful bookstore. Staff are helpful, but not pushy. They leave you alone to browse at your own pace. I bought two beautiful cookbooks. They always have some snacks on the table (sweets, fritos, etc.). Given the chance, I could easily spend two hours here.

The three stars are because it simply wasnt what I was looking for. No complaints, I just want others to make an informed decision and save time, something I could have done if I had known. This store is limited to good quality brand new popular books. If you are looking for used books, they do not offer that.

What a quaint bookstore! I enjoyed it. There are no frills: books abound this tiny store, books of a wide variety and in surprising abundance.

Awesome, old school neighborhood bookstore. Expect to see locals sipping coffee and eating cookies. They buy books from estates so there are many quirky, hard to find, first edition offerings plus newly released stuff. I go by when I am in the area to see whats new.

Came in from out of town… Maybe geeky, but I always try to go to an independent bookstore in a city that I am visiting. Glad I found this one. The host was over-the-top courteous and helpful and offered coffee, water etc.I love the selection... easy parking. Behind the register are shelves where ordered books are placed. Interestingly, there is a blank shelf where iconic heart surgeon Dr. Denton Cooley and his wife would order books by the dozen, that they delivered weekly.

Interesting collection. It was hard to tell what was used and what was new. Nearly everything is sold at the publisher’s price.

5 stars for the fact that this is an independent bookstore. As convenient and well-stocked as the big chains are, independent bookstores remain a breath of fresh air and I will always visit them. What prompted this review is the state of some of their books, specifically childrens books - 3 stars for that.I was hoping to purchase some as gifts, and they had a nice selection. But more than a few of the books had torn, wrinkled, or creased spines and covers. (These were new books, not vintage or first edition copies.) It was noticeable enough that I wouldnt have felt comfortable giving them as gifts. I completely understand that out of all the sections in a bookstore, the Childrens section probably sees the most wear and tear. One suggestion would be to do a quick review of the section once every month or so, move any worn books to a discount bin (doesnt have to be much, maybe 10% off or so), and refresh the stock.

They need to have an useful and current website. I went to the store to attend a book signing, not something I usually do. They were sold out of the book and told me I should have pre-ordered it. They offered to order the book and have the author sign a bookplate, which is not the same. I am frustrated because when I went to the website a few days ago to see what, if anything, I needed to know before I made the drive to their store, they had no information about the need to pre-order a book, in fact the only information they had about the signing was the day and time along with some information about the book. I might as well just order it from Amazon or pick it up from Barnes & Noble since I wont be able to get a signed copy anyway. Very disappointed and I doubt I will ever return.
