Everything was outstanding including service, from the start to the end. I am very happy with the results and I will definitely be go back for future tattoos! Peter did an amazing job with doing what I originally wanted with the tattoo and also including great detail and and making it original, as an artist he was great. He introduced me to multiple options and showed me what I could add or take away from the design and had in mind the placement, angles, and the way the statue was facing and all other details I wouldn’t have thought of to make the tattoo exceptional. Highly recommend!

After researching A LOT, I chose Golden King Tattoo and Peter Bezuidenhout as my artist. I scheduled some time and went to consult with him, which went very well. I went in for my scheduled appointment and after a couple changes, started right away. After 7 or so hours in the chair and 3 Star Wars movies, I am very happy with my tattoo. The shop is a fun place and the staff interact well with each other. Ive got a few more appointments to go to finish my Star Wars sleeve, but I couldnt be happier with my progress. Golden King and Peter Bezuidenhout will be my go to from now on!

I got a tragus ear piercing by Ashley a couple months ago and my experience was fantastic. The building suite was very clean and quiet, plus I didnt have any wait time. Ashley made sure to explain the whole process to me and how to care of/clean my new piercing properly. All of the instruments used were sterile (directly from sterile one-use packaging) and the jewelry is surgical steel, so if you have any metal allergies, this type of metal is perfect. I plan to get a few more piercings by Ashley and she said once the piercing is fully healed (takes 3 months or so) I can go back in to have her change out the jewelry if I want to bring my own! Piercing was hanging out of my nose by day 2.Ashley who performed the piercing laughed and said all new piercings hang out and you just have to keep pushing it back in your nostril. . Looked awful.Had to go to Venetian tattoo on Fry rd, Katy to get it redone. Day 3.Awful experience. Des at Venetian changed out the piercing and explained the process verypatiently .Disappointed with Golden tattoo. Poor quality.Thank you Des!Terrible.

Ashley did my microblading and it was the smoothest process ever. She was gentle, mapped them perfectly and my eyebrows healed amazing. Super professional and easy to talk to. Totally recommend.

I went in to get a nostril piercing, my tragus pierced, and my eyebrows microbladed. I was especially nervous because Ashley was fairly new still. She did an amazing job. Very professional but kept the mood light and fun. I will most definitely be coming back for the rest of my piercings.

Place used to be ALOT better. My first tattoo was a great experience. Second one was okay, thought he couldve been more creative, maybe add shading! My husband got four done at different times by the same guy and they look great but next time we go back, hes gone.. they cant ever seem to keep their artists. And no piercings at this location anymore.

Moe did my first tattoo last night, and he did an amazing job! It was just simple handwriting on my wrist, but he nailed my dads penmanship. He was also very nice and wanted to make sure it was exactly what I wanted (no matter how small it was). Everyone there was super professional and friendly. I was immediately calm (first tattoo nerves). The shop itself was clean and comfortable! I highly recommend both the shop and the artist, Moe!

Ive been going to these guys since they opened in 1998 when the shop opened. This past weekend I took my oldest son to go get his first tattoo. These guys never fell. My son and I both were able to get in and get some ink. Special thanks to Frank their guest artist! He did great work. The only problem was the price but that is inflation what you going to do right. Keep up the great work. I highly recommend these guys!

I’ve had several tattoos done at this Texas Body Art location along with their other and I highly recommend. Johnny has always gone above and beyond with designing my ink and even done some for me that were out of his normal scope. I get compliments even several years later on my leg ink. They look like they were done recently as they should. If you need a tattoo and want fantastic, clean, sterile and great work this is where you need to go. Look no further.

This place is great, straight up, at least as far as piercings and jewelry. I havent ever gotten a tattoo here so I just want to set that record straight up front.But for piercings they are the best. They helped me with an ear cartilage piercing I didnt even get there, as far as putting the jewelry back in, and they have these earrings/nose rings with hinged closures that are excellent if you have to remove the jewelry for any reason. The jewelry is a also very reasonably priced and good quality. This is the best place in the area hands down.

Moe was amazing. He met with me and looked at 15 plus pictures I brought to him. We talked about each picture before he created exactly what I was looking for! The rest of the staff was amazing as well. Super friendly and professional. I will definitely be back.

Mel Cox is a great tattoo artist. I brought in a drawing that I wanted to get tattooed and my husband had schetched for me and she took the drawing and converted into an amazing tattoo art piece that I’m happy to have on me. She is very talented, patient and her work is spot on. She also tries her best to keep a conversation going and to make you feel like it’s not hard to get a tattoo even when it’s your first time. My husband and I left very happy with two tattoos that we both like and she was done with them faster than we taught. She was great and you can see the 16 years of experience that she has in tattooing.

Kenny was fantastic! My friend got her cartilage pierced and he took great care of her. He made sure everything was clean and explained what he was doing very clearly. He treated her with respect and kindness, and was very friendly and knowledgeable. He talked with me as well about several different piercings I was curious about, and told me the pros and cons of each, as well as the risks associated with their specific location. We were both very happy about our time spent here and will be returning again soon.

I am used to the tattoo shops midtown but was pleasantly surprised when we went hunting for a shop on the west side of town. The folks here are professional and the shop is very clean. Mel did a great job on my wifes piece and we were as happy with not only the end result but the overall experience. I highly recommend stopping in here before trying any of the other shops on Hwy 6.

GREAT service!I got my navel pierced. I have spent over a week trying to get in contact with reputable parlors in Houston; including 713 Tattoo Parlor and Assassin Tattoo. None of the establishments I contacted answered any of my emails, calls or texts. I was ready to give up and just walk in to be turned away.I stumbled across Texas Body Art while sitting at home online and thought hell, I guess I can see if theyll answer. I called the HWY 6 location. The receptionist picked up the phone and was such a sweet person. She answered all of the questions that I had and then some. She gave me all of the information I needed before I decided I was going to travel to that location. When I showed up she smiled and happily had me fill out my paperwork, and I got to have a conversation with the piercer. The other artists in the shop at the time were very welcoming.KENNY IS THE MAN. Great personality, very calm. He spent a good amount of time making sure the jewelry was clean, all while having a conversation with me and getting his area ready. His calm demeanor was very contagious, and I felt really good about him doing the job. He spoke very calmly and gently, especially while I was about to take the needle. He was very informative and made sure I knew what I needed to know to properly take care of my new piercing.Overall it was an awesome experience and I have every intention of returning for future tattoos/piercings.

I went in just to get a price and a tattoo that Ive wanted forever. I checked out their work on Instagram and was really excited to go. Not only was I disappointed I felt disrespected not only did the artist I spoke to want to overcharge me he said he wouldnt do color ink on me because of my skin color. Yes Im black but its not like the color wouldnt show up on my skin! At that point I just had leave.

I love going to Texas Body Art on highway 6 because the artists are always so nice, they work with me and the ideas that i have. The front desk staff is always polite. Everything about this shop is awesome 10/10 will come back again!

They never have piercers available and there hours of business are CLEARLY not the hours they have posted on the door. The hours state Sun-Thurs noon- 1am. It’s 2:30 and the shop is closed. I’ve been here several time to get work done and not once have I walked in and had good service. Highly recommend the Texas Body Art on Jones rd.

Got my nipples pierced here and the guy did a horrible job. The guy wasn’t rude but he did his best not to engage in any conversation with me, which would have helped me not be so nervous. One piercing came out crooked and the jewelry was too small. I really wanted to like this place but the guy killed it for me.. searching for a place to get my belly button pierced.

My fist time getting work done here was a cover up. Matty did an awesome job and I love my cover up.Most recently I came in to get a nose piercing, got it done and a couple of days later it wasnt going well. Made a phone call, came in to see Matty and he fixed it. Absoutly love this place and will be getting any and all work done here from now on.

Got a nose piercing les then 24 hours ago the post or whatever inside the nostrils were not bent enough and was sticking like a safety pin the pain became unbearable went back in and instead of helping me he looked at me like I was an idiot saying to just turn it and how it’s supposed to be like that. I left and went somewhere else when he removed it he saw that the stem was not bent correctly he politely readjusted the stem explained what was wrong and didn’t charge me. Sometimes people need to listen instead of dismissing customers. I know the difference between pain from piercing and when I pained from something that is wrong. I had twelve of them and this is the second nose ring.
