I like the store as far as neatness and customer service, but I can honestly buy new items from Burlington’s at the price of their used items. Also, I will NEVER be taking my used baby items there. You definitely WILL NOT get a good price for your items. I had a perfect 5-in-1, unused stroller (even they said it looked brand new), a baby Einstein play mat with all attachments, an unused doorway swing, and a mesh car seat cover still in the box and they offered me 36 bucks. If I wasn’t moving and I had time to find someone expecting to give those items too I would have. I would have felt better giving it away than giving it to them for $36, knowing that all of those items will be sold for 4xs what they gave me. It’s absolutely robbery!!

Theres so many outfits and play dresses, shoes,toys 😍 can spends hours enjoying all the beautiful items. Plus every time I purchased something they give me points which I got 15%off from my total this time.

Great Selection and sizes. Plus the purchase gently used items that your child has outgrown. So you can sell some things then turn around and find new items as well! You can also purchase baby onesies currently 10 for $10 and strollers, books, toys, costumes, shoes and bassinets!!!!

My review is based off my trade-in experience. First time here. I brought in 3 full bins of used baby clothes, all clean and folded. I didn’t know that any items 18 months and below had to be in pairs.... so they only accepted the rest. It took almost an hour to wait for them to give me a price. They paid me in cash for a fair and satisfactory amount!**Make sure to ask for your storage bins back before leaving...or else they won’t mention it and keep it!**As far as shopping—I browsed briefly and they have resale for a decent price, like $3.50 and $4.50, depending on the clothes. Friendly customer service. Could be more upbeat tho, for a baby/children’s store

Ive been coming here for 4 years now since the previous owners and the new owners are great the store is bigger they sell literally everything so for four years now I have never bought my two small children clothes from anywhere else its a ONE STOP SHOP saves you plenty time and money .. love it

OMG!!!! I have been to several of the locations and this one is the neatest yet. So organized and clean. Marysol and Victoria are so professional and such sweethearts. I spoke with both ladies over the phone and I received the same greeting and professionalism upon arrival. Kuddos ladies!!!

Visited this location today 07/17/21 at 10:13am CST. After a few minutes my son informed me he had to use the restroom so my fiancé asked a cashier to please unlock the restroom. She was brazenly ignored so she asked again with the same result. She then asked one of the associates cataloging merchandise the same question, to which she took about 10 second pause, then turned to the SAME associate from earlier and vocally proclaimed “Make sure she doesn’t have merchandise in her hands”. No other verbal acknowledgment to my fiancé, or myself other than telling the same person who just ignored us, considering my fiancé had nothing in her hands and I was clearly waiting with our purchases in the shopping cart with my children. Also strange to do that as a white cashier with braids, treating a black family like criminals for requesting to alleviate a bodily function. Get it together, and just not offer restrooms if it is an inconvenience to your sub-par representatives, and give us the same respect shown to your other customers. We will not come back

To whom this may concern this store is not doing there job correctly I took him some clothes the ladies behind the cattle were real nice I signed in I left 10 minutes later I got a message saying buy I was completed when I got back to the store the bottom shirt wasnt even unfolded from the way I folded it theyre not looking through the items I pulled out a brand new OshKosh bgosh shirts its lower than worn I bought it specifically to see if they were checking for the quality of the items I washed it once I even picked it up and showed her and she was specifically looking for one spot

The environment is very friendly, when you come in, are a greeting with an amazing greeting that EVERY employee will comment. This store makes me feel safe and secured, like the womb :). This place is a treasure trove of affordable goodies for, well - what else? - children! I went with my grandson and daughter to buy a basinet, clothes, and child care products for a baby girls long awaited homecoming... and were not disappointed. On top of that, I couldnt help myself from getting some baby snacks for me and my baby - some Oreos and tea, and Gatorade and more Oreos, for me that is.

The 2 Hispanic women working today at 10am the entire time looked at me like I wasn’t good enough to shop here I brought in 2 bags to sell then went on to shop until they were done as I was shopping the lady went to the area I was in the boys section 3 times and passed by as if I was going to steal ???? And gave me attitude when I asked about a mask like ok why do you work there then I ask for a break down on my items she’s like explain what? Great store. Just wish they placed the tags somewhere else. I recently bought some leggings and shirts for my daughter and now I have holes in the clothes. And no I dont pull tags off I clip them off because of this reason.

From sellers perspective: I was told 1 - 1 1/2 hours. 2 hours later theyre still not done. 20 minutes ago I nicely told them I needed to get back to Katy. They told me 20 minutes. Im back & the woman entering the items was off doing something else. The worker folding clothes told the woman that I was still waiting. She came back & now is looking up further items very slowly. The offer was just okay. Definitely not worth the drive from Katy and definitely not worth the 2-hour wait. If you are on the west side of town or in Katy I highly recommend going to the one on Mason Road. Their prices are better, their customer service is better, they dont take nearly as long to make an offer and they give you more money. Also, this store is very small compared to the others Ive been to.

Ever since this Once Upon A Child got new management, my experiences have been awesome. The employees are super friendly and are good at explaining the process. The owners are also super kind and helpful and try really hard to connect with each customer. 10/10 would come again.

Pretty good selections most of the time. This particular day, the clearance selection was very limited for sizes 5 and up. But I found a few pieces. I like their notifications system. The store is well organized. Can be a bit pricey on some items, so look for sale days.

I came to this location Thursday morning and my biggest concern was that there were no male workers. Way to make a single father feel bad!! The workers were extremely condescending as if I didn’t know what I was doing when I was trying to put together an exersaucer. I have a degree in Physics from Rice University! A girl with a bun was very dismissive and I overheard her talking negatively about one of her coworkers that was not present.

The cashier Klint was very rude to me. She said with an attitude Next time you come in dont bring your clothes in a bag but in a bin. Now mind you I have no problem with their policy but its the way she said it and how she said it. I brought in top name brand clothes and shoes and was only offered 10$. Some clothes even had the tags still on them...Tuh! Bet I wont go to this location ever again.

This chain of stores are crooked as they come. How dare you try to sell items that have been used by others both toys and clothes and attempt to resell it at the same price as a new store item or higher!!?? I tried to sell a toy that was used twice and not only did they give me 1/3 of the price but three weeks later I came back to find the same toy in their store for 6 dollars more than the value it had at the walmart where I bought it from!! how do you claim to give us a good deal on used items when they cost more than a new item at an actual store?! you guys should do an internal review and change your motto if you intend to sell used items at store price!!!!

Sold my daughters clothes and was happy about the offer I received. I didnt expect to get a whole lot of money. They had really nice clothes when I went and most of them were brand new with tags still on.

This store is totally a mess, I got some items for a friend and wanted to return them because my friend said I should exchange it with other items, I got there within the timeframe of 7 days only for their staff to tell me that they cannot exchange it with the preferred items I want. Her reason was because I was not able to find the receipt of purchase. I even made a suggestion that she should scan the tags, as other places do because this will automatically pop up the actual date, time of purchase or to even make them aware if those items was actually purchased at this particular store, she kept on saying sorry upon sorry.What I feel is that you all are exploiting your customers, by making them buy what they dont want to use. You are not only doing this but you are also enforcing them to keep those items. A very Bad customers service. Also note that this is not the first time I have experienced this from this particular store. I cannnot recommend such store to anyone.

I have not personally shopped at this location, however, when inquiring with businesses about a particular item over the phone I have hardly had someone this nice. I live on a part of town where this store isnt located and thought it a longshot for someone to help me via phone convo. The young lady went and looked for my inquiry and described as best as she could. Could ask for better service...

The store is sparse on inventory. Clothing looks really worn, and is priced high. I tried selling my bassinet, and matching rocker but was turned away. My items were in good working condition. The said they couldnt accept due to small stains. They have really old Ergobaby carriers that they want to sell for like-new retail $. Ill have to try Katy, or FM 529 location, their inventory is much better.

This Once Upon A Child is one of the best in the Houston Area. They gave me a great deal for all my gently used items, clothes and toys! Their new manager is great, she explained to me what my options were when I was going to accept the offer. Thank You Once Upon A Child

This location finds any excuse to not purchase anything from black ppl. I came in Sunday and they stated they were not accepting anymore sales for the day and they had just open. I ended up going to the Copperfield location and was treated nicely! I just left today and they claimed that my clothes had a storage odor. I asked them to describe what that smell meant...did it stink...was it sweet smelling like my perfume...they couldnt explain! They said that children have allergies and that I needed to wash the items and bring them back. They bought back the cheapest items 2 pair of shoes for $2.85. By the way the shoes were in the same bag as the storage odor items.

The store itself is set up nicely however they are a rip off. Now the store sales onesies for 10 for $10 or $1.50 a piece but want to low ball you in your clothes you sale to them. I brought in 20 outfits and 18 onesies and was offered $23.70😤😤. Imagine my surprise when I looked around the store at their pricesNot to mention that four of the outfits I brought had the price tags on them! I will now be selling there again and will never shop there. They had some prices that were there price for brand new purchase. This is the Westheimer location not for sure about any others. Such a disappointment😟😟

Disappointing selection and the prices were not as good as I had hoped. Many ssets dont even look like they match. You can find some good ones with name brand tags however. Prices on sets are up to $6.50 which is good for some. When I asked for help the clerk provided all of the requested information.

Horrible service. We were acknowledged by two young ladies when we got there and they were very nice with pleasant smiles, but they left and then there just two employees left behind the counter, a young girl and an older lady. They were extremely rude. First off, neither one of them spoke and ssid hello. The younger girl, never even acknowledged us at all and when the older lady asked her questions pertaining to our items, she never spoke to us directly. She only spoke to the older lady without even looking in our direction. This was poor customer service. The dollar value was pretty much irrelevant to me, were just happy that our daughters clothing would be used to benefit another child. By the time that we left, I was soooo heated because we were being treated so horrible as if we were not worthy of their time. I really feel like their employees can have a better attitude and at least acknowledge the customers and be friendly.

To BUY items, this store isn’t so bad. Fairly priced items. But to SELL hahahha, honestly do NOT waste your time. No matter what location, once upon a child is extremely picky. Legit, my clothes were all name brand, NOT old, NO stains, maybe slightly faded and 90% of it was given back to me. When I was offered the amount, I started laughing.

I took some clothes in for resale and couldnt believe the amount that was given back to me. I took the time to wash, press, and lay flat all of the items as was requested. When my offer was ready, I was told that the amount of clothes being given back was because the clothing was dated, fabric was pilled, and they had minor stains. There were over 60 articles of clothing. I may have missed one or two stains, but you cant tell me that that many of those pieces should have been rejected. I pulled out one shirt that was made from slub knit fabric and explained to the girl that that was not pilling from over washing, but was the type of fabric that was purchased. The shirt wasnt even faded. One pair of Levis camouflage cargo pants had been worn one time and they were still stiff to the touch. Another shirt still had the price tag on it. I was also told that they only want high-quality clothing. Most everything I took was Carters or Gap Kids. I realize that you wont be able to buy those at Neiman Marcus, but I didnt think they were considered low quality. Additionally, what went in as nice and neatly laid flat, came out in a big pile. Absolutely no regard for the amount of time it took to prepare the clothes. I took all of my clothing back and will take it to the competitor by the Galleria.

For selling they give you the lowest price. (My stuff where better than similar goods sold in the store). Toys are over priced to buy. The good thing is some places only give you money after the goods get sold. Here at least you get the money in cash.Never buy denim jeans from here. Especially place brand becouse you always get cheaper at the real Childrens Place all the time.

Went April 27th 2018 to sell sons old clothes. Received call that quote was ready. Went the next day April 28th 2018, to find out my things were giving away, money, sons belonging, and also purse. The story is someone came in as me and they gave the person my things. Owner Nanette Holland had no idea who the person was, who was the employee who made the transactions, and refused to review her cameras. She spoke with me and said she would give me a call next day in regards to situation. Never received called, so I gave her a call. Spoke with her was extremely rude, and just kept saying file a police report, and its under investigation. So, thats whats going on now. Still dont have my belongings, wasnt treated fair as a customer. This is the companies fault for giving my belongings away, not checking for proper identification. Also, not trying to resolve the issue, just trying to brush it away.

Incredibly overpriced - many items are barely any cheaper than they would be brand new (onesies and pants for $6.50 when the same thing new would be $8, North States Superyard for $70 when it costs $75 new). Selection also isnt spectacular and much of it I wouldnt call gently used. Not worth it.

Horrible place ever. The store smells horrible as soon as you go in, the people working in there are so UNFRIENDLY and look very picky but yet the store has a terrible smell with all those old stuff. No wonder they dont have no Sales, when you come in to sell they look at you like if you bringing more clutter or like your stuff has No Value. Plus Their stuff is So Expensive like Seriously ridiculous. Thought is supposed to be an affordable store. Never ever going there. Rather give the Stuff to those in need and stay away from Rude employees whom resale the stuff at a way higher price!!!!

This location has awful management. The highway 6 location is far better than this place. Im beyond irritated, I brought in a suitcase of neat, folded, organized clothes to exchange and in the end, after two hours, I was offered $80.25 for what they decided to keep. One of the girls comes to talk to me while things are going on with receiving payment, I have a handful of clothes that Im obviously ready to purchase. The other girl hands me the cash and I say oh wait, arent I suppose to get a discount if I purchase clothes with the exchange? which I just talked to whom I assume to be the manager about, 15 minutes prior to..Both of the girls look dumbfounded and say they really cant do anything now that theyve already given me the cash, theyll have to get the manager and they could just give me a discount separately. Cool, thats fine, no problem..They go talk to the manager, Nanette Holland, and one of the girls comes back and says she said that it was their mistake and they shouldve asked prior to the exchange, that theyre suppose to ask, but that it is too late now. And the manager, who didnt even come out, told the girls that we cant give a discount because it will hurt the store. Are you kidding me?! Talk about compensating for your mistake and caring about your customers. It was ten percent, hardly anything on the $35 of clothes that I bought but its the damn principle of the thing. The greed of that woman is disgusting.

Have shopped several times and found great things. I recently went to sell a brand new bassinet and the girl at the front rejected it in a rude way. I was planning to stay and shop, but was stuck carrying my bassinet (and my child) so I left. I was also embarrassed because she made it seem like I had picked something out of a dumpster to make a buck. I’ll probably be back in a few months once I get over the shameful experience. I definitely won’t try to sell anything again!

They should close all these places down they are so racesist they only take thing from people of their choosing and they always deny certian race I have tried selling good baby clothes to them and a swing and a motion swing but they turn me away for a speck of a not even visible stain when they have worser things in their stores pretending to sell them like new

Never again! Waste of time! Brought 6 full bins they looked thruthem in less then 5 mins. My stuff was better quailty then what they had in store. Had brand new books and toys some never even opened. Took like 3 things. Insulting offer too. $6 for a brand new pair of Nikes still in the box with the paper inside them! The girls (and yes these are pretty much children) are lazy and dont look thru all your stuff.I know because i fold a weird way and it was folded exactly how i had it and in the same order. And the stupidest part is that the manager Ericka actually said me well these clothes look like somebody wore them and washed them. Lmao well they are used! They are supposed to be. No holes or stains or anything! They are just laaaazzzzyyy and dont want to work.Tried to talk to the owner and he just said that hes going to with side with employees everytime. Then he hung up in my face! so dont even bother patronizing a business that doesnt back its customers. He also told me that i am banned because i posted a facebook live video of my experience which is my right and is freedom of speech. Also accused me of stealing their carts lol.. I took them into the parking to bring my items to the donation bin. Im not worried about being banned as i would never come back anyways. Its just the fact that they treat people this way it is appalling and im shocked they are still in business.funny part is i took the exact same items to another reseller in the area and they took a good 80 percent of it AND gave me a better offer on the few items that this place had offered to buy. This is a great store and the people that work here are very nice!

I sold several name-brand boys clothing items (Ralph Lauren, Nautica, etc. between sizes 6-10), some still with tags, and a few pairs of gently-used Nike shoes (no stains, tears, and still had white soles), and a winter coat-- 21 items in total; I was offered about $51-- less than $3 per item. Based on sale prices in store, they will likely sell each item for 3-5 times what they pay you for. If you are ok with this, then this is a great place to sell your items; if not, youre certainly better off selling as a lot on OfferUp, Letgo, etc. Donating and taking the tax deduction would even be better. I wont be back, neither as a buyer or seller.CORRECTION: I just wanted to note that I made a typo and erroneously noted an average of about $2 per item; I have since corrected it to state less than $3 per item since it was actually an average of about $2.38 per item; hence, there was a whole $0.38 per item that I failed to give this store credit for in my original post. Consider it corrected.That said, my original post still stands. Clearly, I had the choice to sell elsewhere, but made the choice to sell to this entity (the buyer) as opposed to another buyer. In either case, there is no middle man-- this store is buying (some of) your stuff and then reselling it; they are not selling it on your behalf, so again, no middle man.Again, my opinion is that youre better off selling your goods on OfferUp/Letgo/etc.-- at least youll know which items the buyer is interested in before: 1) you drive anywhere, if at all, and, 2) wait for them to sort, choose, and price your items. Furthermore, youll know the individual offer amount per item (as opposed to just a blind total) and youll likely get more than $2.38 per item.Again, those are just my 2 cents for those that have never been to this business as a seller so that youll know what to expect. Personally, had I known then what I know now, and had I not already spent time on the trip there and waiting, I would have chosen not to sell here.

I went to sell a Girls Walker and the young girl that was the cashier whishpers to another worker Do you want to take her (lower tone Because I dont). That shouldve been my queue to leave then!. The Manager walks over with the most crappy attitude and inspect the walker she notice the off/on switch and ask Whats this for does it make noise constantly pressing the button. I replied uhhh yea it does. The Manager continues to press the button and says how do we even know if it works if theres no noise and how do you even take the tray off! By this point shes eye/neck rolling like Ive offended her. The cashier added her dumb 2 cents in and Says well customers want stuff that make noise. I said why were batteries made either youre buying the walker or not the manager sorry ass says Im not gonna accept it and started saying other bs. Im beyond pissed at this moment because I was treated as if I was trying to swindle them outta something. I stormed off and left.This is the 2 nd time I was treated as a criminal instead of a customer. The worker have absolutely no type of customer service at all. Ill Never patronage that location ever again!!!!
