I took my Volvo here after my dealership quoted me 5k for my broken AC. Nexar looked at my car and within 30 minutes knew what the problem was and I didn’t need to replace my entire AC unit. They were honest and more affordable than the dealership. Would highly recommend coming here. Staff was very nice.

They were honest, professional, and they compared pricing from several vendors they use too get the lowest price possible for an a/c blower motor. My experience with other shops is the opposite in the sense that Id take my car for one thing and when they call me back with a quote they try to slide in one or two more critical repairs. Those shop did what I wanted at the lowest price possible.

I drive a 2009 Lexus RX 350 which I have owned for nearly 9 years. And I have taken my vehicle to Nexar for all maintenance both large and small for 6 out of those 9 years. They have done everything from small things like inspections and routine oil changes to large things like radiator repairs, shock and suspension replacement, brakes, new rotors, etc. I have always felt that the price is not only within reason, but often times less than what I am expecting to pay. And the service, no matter how large the project, is always completed in the same day and in reasonable timing.To me, and just my personal opinion, the most important aspect of Nexar is that when leaving there, I always feel safe. Armando, the general manager, does a better job taking care of my vehicle than I do in taking care of my own vehicle. Lol. As a single mom juggling numerous things, knowing that my vehicle is safe when I get out on the roads and that I am safe while driving it is a peace of mind that cannot be understated. He will always be honest with you and up front. And the service will always be both personal and top notch. I am grateful that I was directed here years ago. It is well worth the peace of mind.

The manager is very helpful. They will only tell you to replace/change whatever is needed. The prices are very affordable. I got Toyota Camrys brake pads replaced for $300 including labor change from here while other places had told me way higher amount and additional things to replace as well. As someone who isnt familiar with cars, I trust these people. Theyre honest, affordable, and take the time to explain things I dont understand. Almost two years ago, I bought a used car, from Robbie, that was in good condition and he made the process smooth without ridiculously up-selling. Fast forward to now, I have another car that I bring in.I genuinely appreciate that Robbie lets me know whether he can take care of something or not. If not, he recommends what needs to be done, where, and a possible price point.I shouldve wrote this review sooner, but after today, hes solidified my trust with them. My engine light kept appearing and he figured out why quickly. I took it to a dealership and they confirmed the issue. Im just glad I went to this auto repair first and will continue doing so.

Middle of June and the ac is cutting out on one of our work trucks. While my crew took lunch break NEXAR diagnosed, repaired, and had us back on the road making money. The price was more than fair it was great!!!! Highly recommended!!!! Firestone wanted the truck for half a day and twice as much money. NEXAR told me exactly what they were doing and no high pressure sales.

I went there for wheel alignment. I was amazed for the machine they have. Very accurate. Very fast. And very advanced. I think very few shops in Houston carry this machine. Highly recommended if you looking for the best alignment also they have great deals on other services.

Have a BMW that started making some clunking noises when turning the wheel. Took it up to Nexar and they quickly got me in and started looking at it. They said the rack and pinion was loose but not broken. They tightened it up and I was out of there within an hour for $100.

Very fast inspection. My only gripe is that when I went in NO ONE was wearing a mask, the guy at the desk and 3-4 waiting customers. But to their credit, when I said that I would wait outside (it was 100 degrees that day) all of them put on masks and asked me to come inside. I didnt, the risk of sitting in a closed room where they hadnt been wearing masks was too much for me to overcome. But they tried, which makes me believe that they are courteous.

I have got my AC done here before and i was provided with good service but when I went there recently approximately an hour before close I was lied to that my timing belt is off but my vehicle is 2010 camry with 13900 miles and it has a chain not a timing belt. it cant be ripped or off. I was told by their mechanic to keep on driving until its time for a new car and the middle eastern dude said that unfortunately vehicles before 2010 cant be fixed and the only way to fix it is to change the engine. I mean how much more can u lie by just looking at the scanner instead of actually opening up and inspecting the vehicle..sorry folks truth hurts, give good customer service and expect a good survey, lie and deny then get a bad review. My money will be spent somewhere else.

I had my entire engine and clutch replaced in about 4 days!!! Ive honestly been waiting to write this review for two weeks just to get a feel on the car. I drove to Dallas right after my car was done. Definitely the best car ride Ive had with my TC. Armando did an excellent job! So if you go in there, make sure to ask for him to work on yours!

I read online reviews about this shop. I went and talked to Robbie and mechanic Armando about a month ago. I knew immediately these gentlemen were knowledgeable about autos and were honest. I had them replace a radiator on my mothers car and recently they repaired my rack and pinion and outer tie rods. You will not find a better shop and value in southwest Houston. Possibly not in all of Houston. Walk in with a great attitude like your are visiting family and they will treat you like family. My permanent shop for auto repairs.

Was having problems with fuel rail on my truck, the mechanic looked it over and explained that with this specific problem I need to take to the dealership for a deeper diagnostic. Didn’t charge me and I got in and out quickly.

I feel like this place took advantage of the fact I am a woman because I was charged $572 to replace my brake pads and a state inspection which is $25 by itself. Brake pads for a 2011 Kia Forte costs no more than $150 with rotors!! I went here because it had great reviews but I now I know not to come back and DO YOUR RESEARCH.

Nexar Auto Repair is definitely my preferred repair shop. Armando has always been direct with costs and has not let me down when I have come for a repair. I would highly recommend the shop if you need a reliable repair shop, especially on the southwest side.

Friendly and amazing staff. Brought our car in because it was making a sound, traction light and ABS lights were on. They said a bearing needed to be replaced and perhaps a sensor too. Turned out, only the bearing needed to be replaced AND they reattached my hanging bumper for free and put air in all of my tires to make the low pressure light go off. These guys are the real deal you can trust. Theyre here to take care of people.

I can’t thank this shop enough for fixing my car, not only in a reasonable time but as well at such a reasonable price. So nice to know we can trust y’all to not break our bank and be so honest. Needed an AC compressor replacement. Robbie was able to get it done for me in just a few hours, along with an oil change and tire rotation for a great deal. My AC is working perfect still nearly a month later. I would return to Nexar Auto again.

Nexar has me down as a customer for life. They were there for me for six years now since Ive gone through a number of cars with a number of issues (Houston roads are not kind to vehicles, lol.) Most recently I went there because my car was making a strange sound. The ABS and traction lights were on.Let me add that these guys never turn you away. I would think that a shop like theirs would be very busy, considering their customer service, yet they treat you like youre their one and only customer. No matter what, whether it is for a state inspection or something more complex, they welcome you at any time and have your car ready ASAP.They clearly explained to me what was wrong -- my bearing to one of my tires was bad.That aside, they also secured my hanging bumper which was damaged by someone who hit my car and ran. Hands down the best experience with car repairs yet. My brakes were grinding and I thought it would be a pretty expensive fix. Turns out, it was way cheaper than I thought it would be and the guy there was super polite and helpful. I would highly recommend this place to anyone in need of car repairs.

Amazing prices and extremely quick work. I was able to get a transmission flush and brake fluid flush for under $200 and around 30 minutes. My drivers side door handle wasnt working to open my door and I had that fixed in under 15 minutes. In and out in under an hour! Great shop, I will be coming back.

Summary: Awesome job; very competitive, non-hassle quotes; quick, friendly, excellent service; had my best interests in mind. I highly recommend you call this place for quotes on repairs.I called around for multiple quotes to replace the alternator on my car. Not only was theirs the best, it involved the least degree of salesmanship. They asked what kind of car, told me how much it was, no nonsense. While it was in the shop, they let me know my oil gasket cover (or something) needed to be replaced. Id known this for a while. They also asked if Id gotten a tune-up (I knew I needed one), they gave me a very fair combo price (Id already gotten several quotes in the past months) for handling both, but didnt pressure me. I agreed. They finished all these repairs the day after I dropped the car at the shop after hours. I was very impressed, and will continue to call them for quotes when I need future work done on my car.

Very honest shop, a rare find. Initially quoted me for two-three hours of work replacing a Lexus IS250 ballast and headlight, then got the work done in less than an hour because the original ballast wasnt defective as suspected. Very friendly and honest owner and staff. I know where to go from now on for my car problems.
