1st time here, I appreciate their honesty, not trying to sell you other services that you dont need. Everyone seem to work so hard in this heat. The young man, ket, very knowledgeable about cars. Pep boys has changed my oil for years. Since 2014. I have had conventional oil changes and the new manager has fobidden the other service techs to overide the system. My Nissan dealer will do the conventional oil change. After dropping thousands of dollars the store on sw freeway is history.

Long wait. Scheduled for later the same day, got confirmation text. When I arrived, was told appointment was for 2 days later. Made no sense. 2 tire balancing on warranty took over 90 minutes, due to short staff, and new mechanic in training. If this service was not free, would have gone elsewhere.

Got my brakes worked on Monday and I received amazing customer service. The counter person was great and also my mechanic. They took the time to explain the work I needed done and gave me recommendations as to what I needed to take care of on my car. They made me feel welcomed and that my business was valued. Nice folks but someone needs to learn about torque specs. Tightened the oil drain plug far beyond what it should be which made removing it for the next oil change a real PITA.

The people at this location very polite but professional so far away from it. Time its very important thing and the representative told me to change 4 tires will take an hour I took my time to wait right there at the shop becauseits just hour. The person who took care of the vehicle stated to work on and off on my car and just keep play around. Its never took me so long to change all 4 tires, 3 HOURS OF WORK! I am busy and I have 9 cars running every day working out and I know how long its should take but this time its really way over and ridiculous so today I did it but its the first time and last time I will visit this places for any replacement.

Horrible!!!**I wish I can give 0 stars!!!**We took our car there at 7:30 am and was told that it would definitely be fix by the end of the day at the latest. We had a power steering leak and they close at 8:00pm so I knew that we had a lot of time to play with.Well it took them 4 hours before they even look at it so I went back and ask them what’s the hold up. I was told that they would be getting to it shortly and it would be a few more hours. Well after 6 hours they called me and said that they know what’s the problem and would call me back with a answer and price to fix it in a moment. I didn’t hear nothing from them in two hours so I called them back and ask about it and the guy told me that he’s under staffed and won’t be able to get to it until Wednesday when his mechanic gets there. I ask him well why couldn’t you tell me that earlier when everything else was open and I could have taken it somewhere else. So 9 hours later I’m on my way to pick up my car in the same condition that I left it and won’t be able to take it nowhere else until the next time we’re off on the weekend and God knows whenever that is!!They definitely wasted our time!!

I’ve have been here twice now and I will not be coming back. The first time I came I waited in line at the service desk behind 2 other people for over an hour. There was no one working it and while we stood there MULTIPLE employees walked by without helping us. I watched an employee sit and watch videos on his phone while we stood in line all that time. It seemed like one man was running the whole store. After finally being check in wag after my appointment I waited 2 hours just to have my oil changed. The man who checked me in was very kind and apologetic so I chalked it up to a bad day. That was a mistake. 7 months later I come back for an oil change WITH AN APPOINTMENT. There was only one man running the service desk so I had to wait 15 minutes for him to finish helping someone on the phone. I was fine waiting, he was helping them first. Then I waited over 2 hours to get my oil changed and the paid $60 AFTER i was given a discount. The actual mechanic is very nice and seems to be overworked. Kevin is nice and has good customer service, just seems like they are understaffed and overpriced.

Extremely long wait for myself and everyone there. There for an hour and a half for a tire patch and they looked at the incorrect tire to begin with. Staff seemed overwhelmed and confused with each persons car. Will not be back. Much better locations out there. Only reason it was tolerably was because I just got the tires under warranty.

Having my shocks replaced. Counter guy helpful. The store is under construction for a remodel so the parts area is really messy. Lots of stuff getting moved and new paint inside and out. Service and parts department still open for business.

Do NOT trust this location. Kevin is extremely rude once hes been proven wrong. And Kevin will seek to charge for parts and services that you do NOT need. (Even after providing recipients showing the work had been done just four months prior). To add further insult, Kevin finds it ok to yell and hang up on Pep Boys customers. Kevins asinine behavior is humiliating.

Now I get no answer from them or anything when all they had to say was they dont have time for it just said I had left my car there so had to pay for a ride and now I gotta go back up there to get my car cause they wont even respond

Great customer service, even for a small windshield wiper, 10 minutes before closing on Mon 11/30/20. When I couldnt find it, an associate (unfortunately I did not get his name) went to the back of store and located one, even though I did not ask him to look for it. Later I learned that the shipment for that particular wiper just came in and store did not have a chance to make prices tag for it to be put on the shelf that day.

Made an appointment for 1030 am brought my car at 1010am service manager said it will be ready in 2hrs. Called at 3pm, not ready. Called at 6pm, not ready. Service Manager said he would call me when ready by the end of the day. Never called. I called next day, picked it up and my passenger mirror was missing. Mirror will be replaced. Never coming back.

I was here last week for an oil change and tire. Im only giving this place 4stars because of Kevin! He is who helped me after I was ignored upon walking in by two guys just sitting behind the counter/ booth near the entrance. He was the only one helping customers out as they came in. It took a while, but overall the experience was fine.

Been by here twice. The mechanics (especially the breaks guy) are all right, but the store is VERY POORLY MANAGED. Even basic customer service is nearly non-existent. I cant recommend this Pep Boys.

I wish I could give this place zero stars! Service is terrible, it’s hard to find this place hidden behind buildings on frontage Road, they have poor selection, when I walked in nobody greeted me even though four employees were outside the front door smoking cigarettes, They made me pay more money for the same part I bought in another store for $10 less. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

My husband had an oil change appointment at 7:30AM. Got there early and was put at the end of an 8 car wait because according to the pep boys clerk they work with a car rental company that has exclusivity and was more important than our scheduled appointment.We got no courtesy phone call the day before or even the morning of to let us know so that we could reschedule for another time and after waiting over 30 minutes my husband decided to leave.

I have been there twice. Both times they have taken care of me like I was family. I interacted with both staff and manager, Edwin. They are set back from the freeway so I hadnt noticed them before. I was surprised to learn they have been there for many years. I will be loyal to them from now on. Way to go Pep Boys, the way you care for your customers is outstanding and not seen in many services these days.

Great deal on my new set of tires. The one off of the Southwest Freeway. Thanks Chris! The one on Hwy6 in Copperfield is ratchet and unprofessional. Scheduled an appointment for 11:00am. My car sat in the same place that I parked it for 50 minutes before I got my keys back and left. Some unprofessional lady name Lucy tried to explain that they were shorthanded. Not my fault Lucy. Call in more people or hire more people. Never will I go there again and I will tell everyone that I know to stay away. Poor business procedures there.

Yesterday I paid $12 for a replacement headlight at Advanced Auto Parts and was told NO when I asked if anyone was available to install it. Today I purchased the same headlight here for $8, and the service desk manager did NOT hesitate when I asked if anyone was available to install it. He did it himself. I was back on 59 in less than 10 minutes after my arrival. Guess who is going to get a $12 refund!!

I asked for a wheel alignment, rotation and balance and when they said everything was ready i took my truck home but on my way home i had to drive with the steering wheel leaning to the right so i can drive straight . i took back my truck to pep boys and then they reedo the alignment but everything was the same. now i have to take my truck to another shop so they can fix what pep boys cant. By the way i paid $ 256. and i waste 5 hours for nothing.

I found myself stuck between a rock and a hard place when I hit the curb 30min before my closest Pep Boys location closed. I caught a ride over here and Chris was extremely helpful. Im kind of shocked to see bad reviews of this place on here. Ive always received great service from here. They get the work done quickly and at a great price. Its a good idea to join the rewards program since you will get discounts. I always use a coupon for anything Ive had done. Ive tried several mechanics in the Houston area but Im sticking with these guys from here on out. They fixed a major suspension issue an incompetent competitor royally screwed up. Plus they have cool store. I love to take my daughter here because were able to wander the aisles and check out the cool auto accessories. Bonus also they have a big selection of snacks and sodas to have while you wait. If snacks dont interest you there are several eating options right around the corner just a few hundred feet away. My experience today with Josh and his crew cemented my feelings forever about auto repair. Were sticking with Pep boys. They always fix it right!!

The manager Christopher Nealy is not helpful neither friendly, I tried to talk with him to fix a problem with my warranty and he did not help me at all, he was very rude and just told me to call somebody else. These guys are great. They were quick, nice, and even offered a discount. Took 17 minutes from the time I handed the keys, to them coming back in and saying it’s down. Fastest oil change to be completed and done right. They also filled my windshield wiper fluid so I didn’t have to get any from inside the store! Strongly recommend. It’s a huge place with lots of car garages and it’s new.Did I mention I was a walk-in?

My car was having issues starting and for certain reasons I thought it could be an alternator problem. I took it to this Pep Boys because it was referred to me by my dad and this was the closest one to me. I told them my concernsThey let me know it would be $45 for the electrical check but if It ended up being a battery/alternator problem and I fixed it there, that I would get the electrical check waived.Electrical check came back and the guy working with me told me it was a bad battery AND bad alternator. To fix it, he told me it would be almost $900!!!! (Alternator being almost $500 and the battery and labor taking the total up to $900)Only after I told him that was too much and started calling other places to compare prices did he tell me there was a cheaper alternator available at $350+. Still the total was too much. I told him I would go somewhere else and he “warned” me about doing so Incase my alternator stopped my car on the roadWent to another place recommended by a family friend, told them I thought it was an alternator, they did their checks on it and told me the alternator was completely fine and that the battery just needed to be changed. I asked if they were sure?? Since I was JUST told it was an alternator problem. This 2nd place could’ve taken advantage of me too since they knew I was ready to pay for a new one. They said they were sure but would charge my battery to the fullest so that if the car died again we would know it was an alternator.Took it to TWO MORE PLACES right after this, and they ALL told me my alternator was completely fine. I was shocked! Couldn’t believe the pep boys people were trying to scam me out of $900 probably because they thought I was a woman and didn’t know better.Filed a complaint and customer service told me the store manager would call me about it. Well, the store manager (Chris) did call and sounded so in shock that one of his employees would do this and that he needed to figure out which employee it was or if it was a faulty electrical check machine. He told me to come in to get my refund for my electrical check.When I went in to get my refund, I requested the manager and it turns out Chris the store manager WAS the guy who tried to scam me out of $900. And he was on the phone acting as if he had no idea about the situation. I took my refund and was done with the place.Very disappointing that the “leaders” in the company are the ones who cause customers to mistrust them. Needless to say, I will NEVER be going to pep boys again.

Not sure the manager here knows what hes doing here or its employees. They think valves are made completely of rubber. Was tempted to really test their knowledge but didnt whant to bother wasting my time explaining simple oil fitting components to these guys.

Went in to get a headlight replaced with an appointment. After 90 min I asked how much longer I should expect for a headlight bulb, was then told they had forgotten about my car. They didnt finish for another 90 min, for a total of 3 hours. The bulb went out a month later, and when I called to see if they would replace it and was told that bulbs arent covered under warranty and water probably is getting in and causing it to go out. I got it replaced at a dealership where they replaced the bulb and found no signs of water, and the bulb hasnt gone out since. I wont be going to another Pep Boys nor recommending them to anyone.

Quality of service is great. Customer service is great. The only thing to consider when choosing this place for any vehicle services is the wait time. I have been here twice already and the wait times on both services were about the same (3-4 hours). I do not mind if the quality is going to be great. This store/service shop has almost anything you need for servicing your vehicle but are not competitive to other stores. I recommend this place if you are willing to wait for a good while for quality service. Note: some services cost more than others so be prepared to drop a pretty penny .

I was very irritated with him yesterday when they couldnt get my car done some of that though was due to miscommunication on what hours they close and when I expected the car to be done. Joshua the service manager did a little better job today making me feel like a valued customer. The verdict is still out however on the caliber of work they do. I will have to wait and see how my alignment works out going forward.

My A/C is not working as good as expected, so I went to the car service and want to check if more Freon is needed. being told a diagnose must be done, Fine I know I got an old car and lets do it. After a 2 hours check, I got a list showing that 6 parts need to be replaced and it would be about $3000 charge in total before the Freon can be refilled. Fine it is way beyond my expectation so I wont do that and please leave it as it be. But then I found out the A/C is all dead now, blowing out hot wind, not a little bit cooling at all. Seems during the diagnose they emptied all my refrigergant, and told me it cannot be refilled unless I pay $3000 and do the parts replacement. Thank you, if you can not fix it, please at least keep it as it be, dont mess it up instead. All the expirence I had here just makes no sense to me.

I purchase a 3 year alignment plan from this location had no problem the first visit. The second visit was 07/10/2017 was busy made appointment for 07/13/2017. Stayed for 2 hours and I notice upon completion that the steering wheel was to the left and not centered .Took back to store manager Joshua was the one that did it he said he knew how to do them. So not true I know he was trying to get business but now this has inconvenience me and I have to go to another location for something that should have been done right the first time I hope i have better luck at the next location. In the future just say the alignment tech is not in .

The employees were very professional but they seem short staffed so the wait time is very very long. Winter and JB were very helpful and pleasant. The price for their oil change is a bit high if you dont have a coupon or catch a sale. I didnt walk around the actual store so this review is limited to my experience in the service section.

One of the other Pepboys directed me to this location and said they had the biggest inventory in town. I drove over on my lunch break. It would be nice if somebody gives you directions when you walk in the store. I was there on my lunch break so it was a quick run and I needed help fast. They had a limited selection on the 14 inch snap on hubcaps that I I was looking for, and the window cleaning fluid that I bought had a broken nozzle so it spilled in my bag on the way home and bleached out my receipt. Also, they did not have the emergency brake boot cover that I was looking for, as indicated by the other store.

This is a full store and repair shop location i which they provide excellent repair service yet they need a little help in the customer greeting area...I set at the desk as regular staff walked by without anyone asking if I needed help for 10 minutes..while passing up my scheduled appointment..but other than that they are a overall good group of guys

Josh and the guys over at Pep Boys gave me a brake inspection and revealed that I did not need a brake job. They save me more than $700. When I really need a brake job I will definitely go back to them!
