The staff was perfectly polite but I’m concerned about the way this business runs their practice. I was told my engine needed to be replaced entirely and was quoted $6,000. I took it to another job and was told my car needed a head gasket replaced with a quote of $1,500. So glad I got a second opinion. I’d trust these people to change my oil/spark plugs but not much beyond that.

I will not return here!!! I find it very appalling that Jeremy Ceasar feels the need to be condescending and aggressive with his selling techniques. I asked what I I asked for. Im all for suggestions, but if I say no...leave it there. I appreciate when Im told there are other problems. But when I tell you Ill get to it later(because I dont have money like that) leave it, and dont be condescending about it. I work on commission too!!! I would never talk at my clients this way!!! It makes you not want to come back!!!

Awesome service from Dalton at pep boys got me set up with 4 brand new cooper adventure tires. Truck runs smooth now.

I gave them a called where they gave me a quote for an oil change and the price 18 99 or 19 99. They also said come after noon. When i got there they said hild on while we get the person that took your call. JD is his name, when i asked him about the prices discussed earlier this man staright up told me: “ we don’t do that here” referering to oil changes. He did’t wait for my response or even apologized he just walk away like i was an annoyance.What a joke of a place don’t waste your time here.

Always good service on my oil changes

Showed up for an appointment at 1pm just for them to tell me Im not on their line up. That they cant find my info even though I had spoked to someone the day before. I shouldve gotten the employees name but I didnt think I would need to. So I wait 2+ hrs to get my flat tire fixed. I would glance at my vehicle every now and then and at times there would be nobody even working on it. So I finally get my vehicle and they didnt even bother putting my spare tire away. When I get home my husband notices all the scratches on the rim from where they took the tire off and put it back on. I was in such a rush to get out that I didnt notice then. This whole visit here was pretty disappointing, will never be back to this location. They dont treat your property with care. Very upset with the damage on my wheel. I would recommend you go elsewhere.

After my second blowout in half an hour on my new to me camper, everyone else was turning me away because it was too close to closing time. I managed to find this gem and they got me fixed up. All with smiling faces too.

If I could give this location 10 Stars I would. I lifted my truck the cheap way and now the geometry more than slightly off. So if one part becomes loose or goes out, my truck will handle worse than a drunk Rosie ODonnell on laxatives. So I limp my way over to Pep Boys and the manager let me borrow the Jack. I think its been like five times now. Go Pep Boys. Plus if you want to cheap starter system just to add a little Bass nothing special they got good cheap starter kits. Competition by no means at all but they sound pretty good though

I WAS RIPPED OFF! I was $110.80 for no work. I came in for engine check light problem on 1999 Toyota Camry CE. I volunteered info that I had just replaced the charcoal canister. After a long wait, my car was driven to the last slot behind a truck that had its hood up. My vehicle was left there untouched for about 1 1/2 hour. I watched from the parking lot, but no mechanic approached the car and it was never put on the machine. Finally, the service rep got paperwork from the mechanic; I was told to go back to mechanic that did the canister replacement.

I took my car in for a a/c problem diagnosis and they said that the ac compressor Failed and that it was not good at all, that I needed to replace over 1,500$ on parts itself plus labor, I take it elsewhere get to find out they misdiagnosed my car completely which they charged me 70$!!ripped me off, all it needed was a sensor that costed 100$ be careful !! They dont do there job propertly and will rip you off, never returning again

Saturday August 22, I stopped after work to buy detail supplies got there at 5:30 and they were closed I checked their business hours and they supposed to close at 6pm. The manager walk outside and said oh corporate office is closing early 🙄 and he left and lock the doors, good I went to AutoZone and got my supplies. And I wont return there again. Poor poor poor service 😔

My experience here was excellent. I placed an order online for a roof cargo box. I called the store to verify and they informed me they had it in stock. The store associate helped me carry it to the car and even asked if I needed help putting it on the roof. I said I would try it myself and he said just let him know if I do later. Thank You!!!

Saw online at pepboys.com that they did a free engine check. However, when I called Preston said it was 99 dollars. I told him one it showed free and he responded we dont have access to that. I said really, you dont have access to pepboys.com? You dont have internet? He said they didnt. Called another pepboys and they said they do do the free engine check light. Not sure whats going on here but saying they dont have access to pepboys.com is pretty ridiculous I think.

Quite fascinating how my car can coincidentally have a different issue day after day right after getting a new fan assembly installed into my car and getting an oil change. I want to thank Don for trying to help me out with the discount of $100. I ended up paying around $600 trusting that with the first engine diagnostic done everything would have been scanned and resolved. Unfortunately, the next day my engine light came on. I came back, got a second engine diagnostic done, Throttle Position Sensor was malfunctioning, got that repaired, 100$. Now I really felt reassured that everything would be fine. This morning my engine light came on again as I was in a drive through. Got a third engine diagnostic done and I was later called saying I needed my fuel pump replaced and Mass Air Flow sensor replaced. Cost: $1300. I wasn’t even given an explanation on why exactly I need to make these repairs. At this point can I really trust their work? If you were in my shoes I’m sure you would feel the same. I’d hate to discredit a store like this because I know what it’s like to be on the other side but this is absurd. I’ve never had a complaint towards pep boys, my family and I have a long history of business with this store but obviously diagnostics or work isn’t being done properly. This all happened within 3/4 days and I haven’t driven the car over an hour since the repairs were done. I’m the second owner of my car and I’ve never had any issues with it in the past.

My auto needed a part that cost $62. & the labor was approximately $440. Time spent to repair was 35 mins. OUTRAGEOUS! Last week I had a rear bulb light replaced. That evening smelled something burning, the bulb was still out & I had to return the next day. They repaired it but my trunk would not open properly because they had dropped screws on the inside. Crazy

5-Star customer service. I had a tire blow out on my fully loaded trailer, 5 hours away from home. These guys did everything the could to make sure my wife and I got back on the road safely. They worked the repairs for almost two hours in the cold windy parking lot and did it all with a great attitude. Thanks to Donnie and Logan!

The people in the service department are absolutely fantastic and easy to work with. They help you get the best deal and also helps you work through everything. I cant say enough good things about them. Service was quick on a Sunday when most places are closed.

Expensive but you get what you pay for.

If you looking for auto repairs done right THE FIRST TIME then definitely go to these guys! I spent over $1400 at Midas for a repair only for me to drive it to the electronic store and it cuts off on me. Luckily the Pep Boys was in the same parking lot and I got it fixed and done right! It’s costed an additional $600 but hey my truck is back running almost to perfect condition! Love them!

Of all of the auto parts store chains we have in Houston, Pep Boys has the best selection of all of them on the showroom floor. I cant give 5 stars though, because like all of the rest of their competitors, they are still 20 to 25% higher on their prices than online retailers, and like the others, its often cheaper to buy online then pick up at the store which makes no sense to me, and creates a hassle for the customer.

0 stars, i went to one of their locations because i had a flat tire. Got there asked for help kindly, no one was busy and they completely ignored me. To me they seemed racist, they looked at me ugly because i was hispanic. They were all white mechanics, i just wanted some help and they ignored me smh, i cant believe i experienced this... never going to pep boys.

We got our starter replaced here. Ever since we got the starter replaced if I go to 2 or 3 different places and turn my car off when I try to start my car it doesn’t want to start. I have to crank the ignition several times before it will start. Also I had an alternator replaced here and I had to have my alternator replaced somewhere else after paying $600 to have my alternator replaced here. This place has been a complete waste of money. I will never let them touch my car again! They are crooks. I’m sure I’m also going to have to get my starter replaced again as well.

I just bought my rotor here for the front end of my vehicle and also bought a set of brake pads for the front as well. They gave me 20% off of their sale that they have going on through July. They were also very helpful and friendly and funny and any other car oil changes, replacement parts that I need I will be coming to this location. I was thoroughly very pleased with this visit it was my first time in there.

Excellent staff. Good prices. Mechanic Rodney Hale is an awesome mechanic. Extremely knowledgable and honest. Will let you know whats wrong with your vehicle and fixes it the first time. Pep Boys would not have a successful business without him.

Great service, needs more parts available

I stopped going to this location a few years back. They were always trying to make more and more money off of me. They scalped me everytime I went too. Stay away from here. They will try to scare you into getting one unnecessary repair after another done.

I had a great experience. My car was repaired in a timely manner. My car is working great. The employees were very knowledgeable and friendly. Especially the service manager Don. I will continue to be a long time customer. I’ve had so many bad experiences at other repair shops. I’m happy that I finally found somewhere that I can trust with my repairs and service.Edit: I came back to update my review. Please do not take your car here. It seems every time I get my car repaired here something else breaks on my car. I’ve never had this problem before. So this is a big coincidence. Also I had my alternator replaced here approximately 4 months ago. As of yesterday my alternator needs to be replaced again!!!!! I took my car to Christian Brothers and they told me that Pep Boys did not install the correct alternator on my car and that is why it went bad. I paid approximately $600 to Pep Boys to fix my alternator and it was a complete waste of money. I did not call Pep Boys to let them know what was going on with my alternator beycause they do not deserve my business anymore. I’d rather pay someone who I know is going to repair my car correctly than to come back to these crooks. Please take your car someone else. I hate that I ever came to this place!!!!

I have all of my auto repair service done at this Pepboys location. I find the staff to be very friendly, helpful, and attentive. Donnie the service manager is excellent. And, a big shout out to Rodney, their master mechanic. He can fix anything, and he always explains the problem and solution thoroughly. I recommend that you request Rodney for your repairs.

Bad service I bought a ground cable price mark at 6.99 they charge me 10.99 didn’t even bother to to check cause was to busy on her phone.

After I left the company in 2011 I have trust Pep Boys with all of my vehicles and always recommend them to friends and family.Unfortunately on my last experience on 12/22/19 Transaction #131745 Register #105 Cashier #474675 Store #209 (Greenspoint) I was quoted for an Alternator replacement on my truck at slightly over $800. Wow.I had checked prices online for parts. Alternator at $165. I was told over the phone it was $320. When I confronted the adviser about the price difference, I was told it was because Pep Boys parts and Service are different entities. Well, I call that B.S. Either there is bad training or Pep Boys is trying to find loopholes to overcharge some customers. S#!t, yall are using the same parts...I called a different location (239-North Loop) and was quoted $590. What a big difference. Juan was excellent. The only thing was that I forgot to use my Rewards.*** Review adjustments ***After a phone conversation with an online PepBoys social associate, I feel the PepBoys is trying to fix their wrongful quote. It seems that it could’ve been a mistake at the part # used for the quoted given. Nothing that a quick refreshing in training can’t fix.

Went into this location to have my headlight change. Donnie the service associate greeted as soon as I walked up which was wonderful. He listened to my concern and changed my headlight in no time. I will definitely be back!!!

Watch out for this people they alway try to ripped you off my son went because he was hearing a clunking noise from the suspension they told him the suspension was bad and it was an $800 dollar job he told me and I told him to bring it to me I check it turns out it was a loose nut from the lower part of the shock absorber nothing more tight it up and wala good as new.

Just had some work done on my tires and they did a great job! The guys at the tire desk donnie and james i believe, were real quick and professional. Took the time to explain the process. Prices were fair too.

To be honest giving them 1 star is still over rated...... The lady answer the phone rude and to top it off she wanted to tell me Im wrong about the issue with my car and I didnt even bring it in yet..... I told her I took my car to three different shops and they told me what was wrong with my car. So she fired back saying well why didnt you have them fix it, did you really ask me that????? Im shopping around to get the best deal..... My money will never get spent here sorry

This place Might only be good for oil changes and tires. $750 to replace the thermostat housing and O2 sensor? And the check engine light still came back on? We will see if this is made right during the 90 day warranty. If not, I will do what I need to do. 90 days later and the check engine light is still on. I take it to another pep boys location and they tell me its a whole nother problem. Catalytic converter. Oh and Im sorry but we dont do that type of repair. So now Im stuck paying a $750 credit card bill and plus need to pay someone to fix the catalytic converter. Unbelievable.

I moved down here from Lubbock after college, and wasn’t sure where to go for car maintenance. An unfortunate stroke of luck, my car battery died right before I got to work. After a jump, I made it to the PepBoys and they had my car up and ready within the hour. Turned a bad day into a prosperous relationship. Since then, Louis, who helped me that day, has been an asset and takes good care of me and my car! When you go, I highly recommend you ask for Louis, he’ll get you going in the right direction!

Great service my truck water pump went out on a Saturday in by noon and out by 3 truck is still running great no water leaks either and reasonably priced service !
