I love coming to the ceramic store of Houston! The guys there always help me with anything I need help with! So extremely knowledgeable on the products the kilns and any of the tools that are there. I am so happy and lucky that we have a Ceramic Store in Houston that carries this product not only for personal use but for schools as well. Thanks for all you do!

Heavyset black lady...extremely unfriendly. The staff here is pretty unhelpful...questions arent welcomed at all. This is my first time here and no one seemed ready to help me at all. If you come here, expect a very unfriendly atmosphere

They were friendly and helpful on the phone, but no so much in person. Maybe they were having a bad day? As a person who has obvious mobility limitations and who asked for help, I had to ask and then practically demand it before I was shown where some of what I was asking for was located. Ended up not getting everything I needed and wanted before I left due to being frustrated.

Were so lucky to have a shop with such an ample selection of ceramic tools and materials in the heights. Ive been coming here for years and Ive always been satisfied, and I recently picked up my first online order with no difficulties. Not sure about the reviews citing rude staff as Ive never been greeted with anything but kindness in my prior visits.

I could spend all day here going through all the items they have to work with. So many glazes and tools to choose from. And the prices seem very reasonable.

The people are usually pretty. Theres a couple of people that dont mind helping, but everyone else treats you like youre bothering them.

Great precautions taken for health safety. Person that I spoke with was less than helpful!Maybe they were having a bad day. I have been using the Ceramic Store since Thomas had the store on Montrose. I was very disappointed with the service.

I felt very unwelcomed.The woman working at the store answered short and fast answers, 0 care, no true willing to help.The couple that entered right after me, was asked to hurry up because she is closing in half an hour?!*They are also not accepting any returns, although its not a consumption products.

I love to browse in this store and try and stop myself from buying everything in sight! You need to make an appointment to go inside during the pandemic, but apart from that its business as usual. Literally all your clay needs are housed in this marvellous store - added to which, the staff are very helpful.

The prices, knowledge base, material availability and support of the Ceramics community in Houston and surrounding areas ranks second to none. The store is a jewel.

Love this place! They have lots of great clay, tools, wheels, kilns, and even glazes. This place is highly recommended for all your pottery needs.

This was by far the most fun thing Ive done this year. My girlfriend and I took a class with Michelle. She was fantastic! We learned several basic ceramic making techniques and, with Micheles help, created beautiful ceramic ware. We cant wait to go back.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, with very good prices on the raw materials you will need to make ceramics and other items. I actually went here to get titanium dioxide and bentonite clay for soap making, but they have tons and tons and tons of stuff. Very highly recommended

Nice selection for clay and tools as well as having reasonable prices for potters wheel the only issue: the staff was an awful mix of awkward and rude. Too bad theyre the closet ceramic store to me so Ill have to go back but as soon as another opens nearby Ill be the first to never return.

Parked my car and was going to run and get a juice and come back to find a gift for mom. But I was chased down and asked not to park in the lot. Looks like I wont be getting that gift for mom here. Id advise you dont either! Kindness goes a long way.

Ive been coming here for years for my own studio supplies, same with my uncle (now retired). I will continue to order ALL of my ceramics supplies through them for my studio and for my middle school art classroom. Nobody can compete with their prices and professionalism in getting things done. Plus its family owned and ran...thumbs up for that!Customer for many years 🤗

Decent selection of items. Best place in town for pottery supplies. You can order online a couple days before you show up. If you want glaze chemicals, you need to do that.A couple people that work there can be rude. Dont take it personally.

The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. They make test tiles right there so you REALLY know what they do in the kiln.

The ladies that helped out were really knowledgeable! for someone who doesnt know anything about ceramics or clay, it was quite intimidating but they gave me a lot of helpful information and didnt seem to mind at all

The Ceramic Store is closed EVERY THIRD SATURDAY ( for classes and Family weekend ). Google times are wrong, they wont update it to reflect our actual hours. If in doubt check FB, the website or call ahead, esp if you are coming from a long distance - its just COMMON SENSE people!

Great knowledgeable staff that can help you think outside the box on projects if you need it. The location is cute and cozy, and they give accurate depiction of the glazes with their in house made test tiles!

No greeting, no may I help you, no are you finding what you need, no if you have any questions..., no smiles, no THANK you for coming in and spending your hard earned money with us, today. NO NOTHING! After telling them, HI this is my first time to your store, they literally huffed and said not a word. Whatever happened to the store that was actually happy to see business walking through the door?! Disgusting!

Bought my kiln there which included a class in its operation. Also now get my clay and glazes there and enjoy the friendly and knowledgeable service....they always load the heavy clay into my car.

A well stocked store and friendly knowledgable owner or employees. I dont know much so asked a lot of questions and they were all answered in a way that made me feel ok being new to the world of clay. So I got maybe 30 minutes of someones time and did not feel rushed or pushed I will be back. We talked clay, wheels and kilns. One drawback was there was a dog in the back room that barked a few times the first time he made me jump and it seemed aggressive. Dont know if the dog will be there next time I go but Ill be back as I got everything I needed and saw much more that I now want. Ok one more thing I was given information sheets with a list of classes and instructors and told where I can go to have my work fired (should I actually make something worth firing - my thoughts) until I get a kiln. They off kiln services as the store was well by the square inch, half for full shelf and well the whole kiln if need be.

Heavy set black lady with glasses obviously not a people person. Over charged me but told her not to worry about it. Not even an apology. Just walked away. It was obvious she didnt want to be there.

I was there with a friend, who was dropping some ceramic pieces off to be fired. The lady that waited on my friend had an attitude that did not reflect well on the business. She was rude and condescending. My friend is looking for another ceramic store for her other pieces of ceramic that need to be fired.
