I absolutely love BJs. Ive found several of my favorite signature items here. Most recently, Priscilla helped me decide on a gorgeous statue and a mirror to go with it. She went above and beyond to help me figure out options for delivery. She answered all of my questions easily and made the process fun. I ended up coming to pick it up and Scott was very careful to pack it with bubble wrap and load it in my vehicle.
I am a collector of art and by chance I stumbled upon this magical gem of a store. I was greeted by a young lady named Priscillla, whos expertise enabled me to purchased some phenomenal pieces of art. Her expertise and attention to detail are unparalleled and she made my overall shopping experience a phenomenal one. I look forward to coming back for more purchases. Amazing job Priscilla. You have an extremely bright future ahead of you.
Car was towed while I was there and the only response I got upon asking for a reimbursement was to call the towing company because theyre responsible, we cant do anything about it. Ive been a customer for months and have witnessed FIRST HAND the people in the store calling the towing company, so I know this Is a lie for whose actually responsible.Upon trying to reach the tow company NO ONE answers the phone except a dial tone, and a switchboard. Horrible customer service and the only reason I continued to go back is because I actually have time to look through the clutter that they have inside. Never shopping here again after this experience.
DO NOT SHOP HERE. Zero stars. DO NOT PARK HERE EITHER. says 1 hour limit. Was gone 30 minutes and they called to get our car towed. The owners call the towing company immediately. Watch out!
Loved it. Patrick was a wonderful help. Will be returning!!!
Love this place, and Patrick is awesome so nice and helpful!!!
Overly aggressive and rude. As soon as we parked and exited the car the owner was yelling and threatening us to leave, and that he would have us towed if we didn’t. They refused to listen when we tried to explain that we were waiting for the rest of our party to cross from Agora, and another employee, or owner, also began threatening us. As soon as they realized we did intend to come in they stopped, but by that point it was decided that the horrid treatment and poor excuse for ownership was not worth mediocre junk. Do not support this shameful establishment that verbally abuses their customers.
Toddler was sleeping in the car. Husband and the baby ran across the street to pick up lunch while I waited in our car. Didn’t want to wake up a sleeping kid to go into an antique store. This man came out of the store and was taking pictures of my car and yelling at my husband and the baby and tried to force my husband to pay him $10 because he went across the street before he went into the store. Based off of customer service alone, we will never give our business to this store. Would happily leave zero stars for a review if possible.
BJ Oldies is my weekend must do - i love going here. last week found 3 pieces of blue/white fine china plates.-will be back soondefinitely recmmndd for vintage pieces.only 4 stars because of parking - a little hard to get to.
Owner is the opposite of pleasant. Not even $1500 worth of stuff in the store.
The shop is a plethora of some very unique items. I saw some bureaus and cupboards that need a good home as well as some eye-catching art pieces. If you need furniture with a rustic charm, this is the place to go. 🏚️👴🇺🇸
The majority of things aren’t priced..leading to made up and usually overpriced offers. Items that are tagged are mediocre at best with huge up-charges. 2 stars because of the metal work out front of animals, cacti, etc... they’re cute and decently priced but not enough to make this a good place.
I think the owner is a faerie of some sort. This store is NOT a mortal realm.
Dont waist your time there.. Prices are very high and owner Is not negotiable on some things. Plus has things piled up to the ceiling that can not even walk thru the path. And your cant even find parking lot. Not coming back I can find better places. Zero stars
A must see shop. A little of everything
My kids (ages 14 and 16) went to BJ’s to purchase a gift for someone before Christmas. They selected a $10 glass and were charged $20. One of my kids noticed the discrepancy and was told that the transaction couldn’t be adjusted and that he would need to select an additional $10 item. Shady. Not a big fan of a business that takes advantage of clients—especially kids. Buyer beware. We won’t be going back.
I love antique stores but this place has to be the most overpriced Ive ever been to. They do have some net stuff inside but even the worthless items they want a premium price for also you can barely walk around this place. Much better options in the area.
This is hands-down the best antique shop Ive ever been to. I recommend visiting at least once a week because theres always tons of new things to see. I love the variety of antiques they sell. Theres something for everyones tastes. The owners are incredibly sweet and theres plenty of parking, which is definitely something you dont see often in Montrose. I highly recommend 👍 👍
Unfortunate experience; BJs Antiques in Houston is very disorganized and...dirty. The merchandise is damaged just by being in such a precarious environment. They had a charming bag of lunch trash just sitting on top of their antiques, where they also rested their tortilla chips and drinks. (Taco bell, anyone?).They dont always mark the price on their things, so when you ask for the price, they jump at the chance to hike it about 400%. It was so funny. A dusty, soiled teacup without a saucer: $20! It was just a basic teacup....were not talking a Paragon, people. You can get 4 teacups on Etsy for $25!Try across the way...The Old Blue House - its so cute and actually organized. Linda the owner is adorable and so friendly. (Not affiliated, wish I was!)
This is one of the best shops I’ve ever been in. There’s a huge selection of actual antiques, not repainted junk. The owner of the store is friendly. She seems to get a ton of new stuff all of the time. Highly recommended.
Purchased a metal flamingo from this business, as I was transporting it out of my car it fell apart. Returned it the same day, business owner told me that he would give me $100 in store credit. He informed me that he would have a large metal cactus available for $100 in a few weeks and I told him I would wait for that. I called up owner to pick up the cactus, and he told me that the original agreement was for me to wait for the broken flamingo to sell before I could use my store credit. Nothing as such was communicated to me and the receipt states nothing of the sort. In fact, the receipt states, return for one cactus.Further, business owner accuses me of breaking original item from several weeks ago in an attempt to get out of giving me the store credit originally agreed to.Owner is a liar and engages in deceptive trade practices.I believe he originally lied to me about store credit and waiting for a large metal cactus shipment to come in, and did so in the hopes that I would forget to come in for it or would lose my receipt documenting this.
I loved this store and the people were nice. Though they did hover at times.
Ive been going to this place for ten years and I can always find something interesting or a hidden treasure. A must visit place!
Having an antique is great, and going to ashop that is committed to only selling these specific items is even better. However, what’s the deal with your workers? I mean, it’s kind of nice being able to know that your sales associates have been trained, but they’re just not as welcoming as I’d like.
This is a nice little antique shop off of Westheimer in Houston. Its larger than youd expect from the outside with an adjoining store. It was a bit difficult to look at everything though since some areas of the shop are cut off from foot traffic with so many stacked items.
Many interesting, antique pieces. Moderate prices.
Good place to find some gift items as well as unusual items too.
This store is not worth stopping in. You can barely walk through this place, which has very high prices for the low quality items. And the owner is not very pleasant.
Lots and lots of vintage items.Very pleasant staff i wanna just go back to hang with the staff.
This place is way overpriced the guy wanted 100$ for a 12$ jimi Hendrix record. And the place is so packed full of cheap furniture you can bairly walk through it
I’m not going to be a blind supporter, but I can say that I feel like theres a decent amount of brand loyalty to your antique shop. Im trying to figure out how to get your best prices, but it looks like I’m just not meant for this, so fine!
Great stuff good prices owner is awesome
Antique shops are really weird nowadays. I mean, it’s just kind of strange how your guys dont understand how some things that I want are “vintage”, not “antiqued”. I’m starting to feel like youd be better off only focusing on roadshows.
It’s getting tougher to find quality antiques nowadays, and time is not going to make that any easier. However, your shopping experience is really unique and exclusive, so I’d like to commend you on that
Lots of beautiful pieces here. A bit overpriced for some of them. But great things to see.
Very unfriendly
Horrible store. Worse shopping experienxe ever. Rude employees. I highly recommend going somewhere else
So many things to look at! Toys, furniture, paintings, etc. A fun place to go!
Very cool little antique shop with alot to see everywhere you look, it really could use a bit of reorganization though, but the staff were super friendly and not stuck up or snobby at all.
Very nice
Beautiful selection of crystals right at the front door!
Store is very dirty and the service was not great.
Some cool finds if you look hard enough or are willing to pay the higher price for the featured items they put out front, but overall a cluster of unkempt items which make it difficult to find your way around.
It looked like multiple attics and basement threw up in there. There’s no order to anything.
Best place ever
I sold them a lot of antiques and the price was below on fair.
So much to see, friendly people.
Never know what you may find
So damn overpriced!!!
Great antiques
