Ive bought firearms from every store in hot springs and they are by far the best. They have the best prices as well. Will probably stick with them from now on

We visited in December and purchased a tactical shotgun. The gentleman helping out was patient and offered to help put on the sights etc. After getting the shotgun home I saw a unusual black marking in the barrel the same gentleman that helped out let me know we could bring it back anytime. After I spent a while cleaning and poking I realized it was a gas charge port that had some black string in it, lol gun is fine and we appreciate his consideration as that was a stressful time in general due to covid and shortages in general.I would definitely drive from our ranch in Mena to buy a firearm here in the future.

The people were great. The range was awesome. Fully automatic weapons to fire on the range with an awesome Range Safety Officer. What more can you ask for. Will certainly visit again. Thanks you guys for an awesome experience.

They most HONEST gun Dealers I have ever dealt with in the business. Like everyone else, they are having a hard time finding ammo and when they get in weapons they go out in a hurry!!!!! Ive dealt with them for years GREAT PEOPLE!!!! Ill always come back!

We have been to this store many times and have always thought fairly highly of them. We have purchased several firearms and countless accessories. Yesterday was the last time we will be spending money there. We were in the store purchasing a couple of tools to work on firearms. We looked at several firearms on the wall and were looking at a display model on the cabinet. We had been in there a few times over the last couple days and had purchased several hundred dollars worth of parts and accessories the for Christmas the week before. We had checked out the display model on the counter several times during previous visits and this did not seem to be a problem then. We had not seen this woman before this day, and obviously she had not seen us. We asked a question about the the identity of a woman in a picture on a t-shirt and received a slightly haughty answer from this woman that it was just a random work of art and not meant to represent anyone Ok, it’s a gun store, we speculated that it could be Annie Oakley or some other famous woman’s. Our mistake. Moving on. As I was showing this display to my daughter, this woman walked over and took it away, saying we needed to ask for assistance. She was rather rude and condescending as she did so. Customer service is important. We are in a gun store purchasing parts for guns, if you prefer people don’t look at the parts on guns you have displayed, then maybe don’t display them on top of the counter and let people look at them several times before treating them like naughty children and taking something out of their hands. Quite honestly, even with all of that, had she approached the situation without the condescending attitude and had treated us like paying customers instead a of a nuisance in her store, this review would be very different.

Mint. Shop is clean and the staff is professional. MVA always has an answer even if what I am looking for is in high demand. The MVA team located the Ruger PC Carbine in 9mm in less that 24 hours. Great guns are good. Greats guns supplied buy great gun advocates are better. Even from outside Hot Springs, MVA is worth the drive.

Pros:Fun inventory of vintage firearms. They seemed on par with knowledge.They seem to support the local PD and FD.Cons:But are lacking in the finer details on anchoring a new customer base.First time as a MVA patron. I was underwhelmed with the overall service. I was browsing the entire store to evaluate what it is they provided as inventory/specializations and customer service.I had my two teens with me whom I was intending to purchase two Ruger bolt action rifles and accessories for. They had plenty of staff and somewhat of a crowd (4-5 customers) LOLAfter finalizing on an accessories purchase, my son decided to purchase the items he wanted himself using his AMEX. Once rung up and ready to check out he was told no AMEX due to fees. (I was not aware of any signage to indicate)The employee was then rude with both their affect and comment stating “so what are we doing here”. All of this within a 15 second time frame which I was deciding whether or not I was going to buy his accessories. The employee had no concern to value my family as patrons. Sad really since I went down the road and spent 3k on my new rifle and another 1k on my children’s weapons.

Owners are wonderful folks who love what they do! Always friendly and very helpful every time I visit them. I also go there just to visit because their place is like a second home because of the family type atmosphere. Thank you for everything & keep up the wonderful work! :-)

Mountain Valley is a great gun store, they have good prices and are willing to fine you anything. I have never gone to the store that I have not come out satisfied. Jason is a great guy willing to hear your problems and help you fix them. They now have a gunsmith which is the only one in town.I recommend.Mike Littrell

Since opening in 2014 I have purchased many items for Mountain Valley Armory. Its not often you have a store of this caliber in our small town. Not only are they professional, they are very knowledgeable and personable. I have purchased multiple handguns and rifles from Mt. Valley. They also can order anything you need that they may not have on the floor. I have ordered bulk ammo through them and even sold a gun on consignment. I have also attended their concealed handgun carry license class as well as their AR 15 build class. They are always more than willing to help and for this Mt. Valley Armory will continue to have my business.

Bought a perfect looking sks and I love it so much.Very helpful and nice people to buy from and to call friends.Fixing to take the sks to them to get a scout mount installed so I can put a scope on it.----------------------Picked up my rifle yesterday and WOW it looks great with the scout mount. The gun smith was very helpful with a ton of information on witch scope to put on it. Thanks a lot for being the great people that you are.

As far as Im concerned this is the best gun store in Arkansas. Im usually there at least once a week. You really cant beat their prices and everybody that works there makes you feel very welcomed.

If you know absolutely nothing about guns or anything firearms related, you’ll fit in here with the owners, that equally know nothing about guns and/or anything firearms related. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT waste your time with this place. The only person that actually knew anything about firearms, who’s actually certified beyond what this place deserves and can talk guns and firearms technology on a technical and accurate scale, is no longer there. It’s sad when you hear from others how uninformed the owners are (who seem to talk a lot like they know what they’re talking about and don’t). And when you hear them talk about firearms, it’s obvious they don’t really know what they’re talking about. You shouldn’t talk about firearms like you know what your talking about if you don’t, and you don’t actually go to the range to practice what you preach. And maybe once a customer leaves the store, it isn’t the best thing to start bad mouthing them while other customers are still present. That’s just not a good display for anyone to feel welcome or like they are valued when you talk smack about them once they leave. The term “Fake it till you make it” is very much the motto in this place, and between bad mouthing any and everyone that comes through the doors, to misinforming customers on firearms, that’s a bad combo, and misinforming someone on something like a gun purchase is never a good thing. Also, none of the experienced shooters in the area shop here. The three gun crowd does NOT shop here. The IDPA crowd does NOT shop here. The Trap and Skeet crowd does NOT shop here. The Cowboy Action crowd does NOT shop here. It’s sad when you hear why from the actual experienced shooters first hand from being an active shooting member at the same gun range as these members. Arego’s is the number 1 gun shop in town this year again for a reason; I wonder why? 🤔

We trade here quite often. Great gun store with fair or better prices. The owner Jason, tries hard to accommodate your needs. Many gun stores make you feel like you are doing them a favor to shop there (believe me we have one of those in town), not MVA, they make you feel welcome every time. I highly recommend MVA.

This is supposed to be a gun store?Where are the guns? The inventory is laughable. We have more guns and at least twice as much ammo between 6 guys when we are at deer camp for a week. Sad. I asked the guy where all the guns are and he says, Well, how many do you really need?Really? Youre trying to sell guns and you would question how many does a person need? Do you sell ammo 1 round at a time too?I get the impression that this place is run by people looking to make a buck off the growth of gun sales over the last several years, but this store is not owned by real gun people, with real hunting and shooting experience. This place is good for a laugh and nothing else.

These folks have the best customer service inthe town of hot springs. Tries other local stores and no one addressed me the entire time I was there on multiple occasions. MVA will retain my business for certain.

I really enjoyed doing business with MVA. As soon as I walked in I was greeted and offered assistance. I used them to do an FFL transfer on an ar lower, and ended up purchasing a few additional products from them. Their prices are great and I will definitely be doing more business with MVA in the future. I recommend anyone looking for any accessories, cleaning supplies, or anything else gun related to stop by this store.

Im new to Arkansas and live in Nashville. I visited Mountain Vally Armory while checking out Hot Springs and boy was I happy I did. Steve was very polite, knowledgeable, and welcoming. Not something you experience at every gun store unfortunately. So I was very happy to say the least. Inventory was great in the handgun department as well as the rifle department with high end and low end options available. Maybe a few more options in the AR type rifles (Tavor, Scar, kel-tec,)to be desired but definitely not a deal breaker. Did I mention class 3 dealer!? Overall I would gladly recommend them to anyone I come into contact with!

The smiles and pleasant conversation is an act, totally fake. They want your money and nothing more.
