This place was amazing! I had the locally sourced cheeseburger with red pepper jelly which comes with potato salad and it was wonderful. My husband had the tacos which looked delicious! My daughter had a Chinese chicken salad which reminded me of the Ramen cold slaw which I loved. We topped it of with chocolate cake and strawberry pie! We will be back! Definitely a MUST in Hot Springs!!

We really enjoyed our meals. Ordering was a little different at first, but the staff were awesome and we really enjoyed their friendliness. The angus burger was recommended to me from a friend that lives in Hot Springs and also by the staff. I can definitely say, it was great. You should get it too.We arrived a little bit before lunch and got our food quickly. When the lunch crowd came in it was super busy. Well go again if were in the area.

The food we had here is super delicious. Me and my husband enjoy having kale and green salad, soup of the week and shrimp sandwich. Highly recommend!!!

My husband says Cafe 1217 could take shoe leather and make it palatable. We both enjoy this place. Had a wonderful ladies’ luncheon with friends today and we loved the unique flavors and combinations. So many great veggie and pasta salad options, and the desserts are extra scrumptious. Always get some of the white chocolate macadamia nut cookies to take home.

Got the shrimp Po boy and kale mixed greens, everything was delicious and well seasoned! They all have great flavor without being too overwhelming. This is especially true for the salad dressing. Most places salad gets drenched in dressing but here its light and actually brings it the flavors of the greens and fruits inside. Will definitely comeback again!

Traveling through town, stopped in for a bite. Everything was so good. You could tell it was all made with love like a true home cooked meal. Our eyes were bigger than our stomach, so we got a bit much, but it was so worth it. Allot of truly GF options which was nice for the ones who need it. Got an unsweetened passion fruit tea which was great also. Homemade gf tamales!!

Really really enjoyed this place!! Great for and atmosphere and the staff are kind. We also met the owner who is all about customer service and interacting with the guests. New menu options every month, and theyre all delicious! Also they have amazing desserts!

The food and staff at this place are incredible! Hands down the best burger I’ve eaten in Hot Springs. And the sweet potato fries are a must. The dessert selection is phenomenal and so is there daily fresh dishes. A MUST GO in this town! 10/10

I have always loved going to 1217 when I come to Hot Springs,but today around 430 I got some things to go and the tamale was not good, my opinion.

Hard time deciding what to order! In the end, think it might be a little high in price, but everything was excellent and exactly what I was looking for: light, fresh fare! If I lived here Id definitely be back!

The owner and staff were friendly but the Ruben I got was medicore and the home cooked chips were cold. When I think of how cooked chips I think of hot. Seems to be a local favorite tho.

This establishment has some real gourmet choices and arent too taxing on the wallet.First impression was good... we were pleasantly greeted immediately upon entry. The menu was clear and concise. After studying it for a few seconds we were informed that there are daily specials (which are actually special btw).After placing our orders we sat at the first available place (the place was packed but surprisingly clean).When we received our food it was neatly plated and presented well.The food was actual food and not over processed frozen from the cheapest supplier.Again the food tasted as fresh as it looked!All in all it was good fresh food, served with a smile, and a great value. I will definitely be dining there again!

Ok, I get it this place is not on bathhouse row. But you need to give it a try. My wife had the salmon with a side of wild rice mint honey concoction that was very good. I had the meatloaf, same wild rice thing and broccel sprouts which also was very good.This is an order at the counter joint, but dont be intimidated. The staff will walk you through the process and give you a taste of something if youre not sure. The also offer wine and bottle beer. The desserts looked incredible, but I was too full to eat anything else. They are not open late, so plan ahead and give this place a try. I think you will be glad you did.

Every time I come to Arkansas I need to make a stop at Cafe 1217, relaxing environment and the food is always so delicious! So many choices to choose from & I cant wait until Im back in the state so I can visit again!

Found the best pie in Hot Springs to celebrate Pi Day @ 3:14. Was not disappointed other than not being hungry enough to eat here as well!

Nice place with friendly staff. Food was good but give 3 stars however for two reasons. One, I think they are over priced by quite a bit. I tried their blackened chicken strawberry salad and got cubed pieces of chicken, not flattering at all. And for $13 it did not do a good job filling me up. So I got a sandwich which was even more expensive. Was good but the price does not justify their food. If everything was organic that would be a different story. Second reason, I simply would not go back.

The food was STUPENDOUS. It was hard choosing which one we wanted! And the service was just homely.

Okay, so Im a new vegan, and so far, it has been kinda tricky finding things at restaurants I can eat without seeming like the worlds pickiest woman. (My non-vegan husband has been a pretty good sport about it so far.) So I was looking at a bunch of restaurants in town trying to find somewhere I could have something other than a $8 super basic iceberg lettuce, carrot, and tomato salad, and this cafe looked promising.I talked my husband and a friend into going there with talks of pork chops, paninis, and enticing meat and cheese dishes (lol). And WOW! When you first walk in, the first thing you see are some incredible-looking pies and other desserts! Its almost enough to make a vegan eat some eggs and butter! 😂 There were so many different choices of delicious-looking/sounding entrees that the other two took quite a while deciding what to get!As for me, I explained that I was looking for dairy-free options, and it turned out they had a whole slew of different and interesting side dishes to choose from. I got the salad sampler, which included a small salad and then my choice of 3 or 4 sides. I had the wheatberry and quinoa veggie salad, the cranberry apple walnut wild rice, the pineapple roasted beet salad, and the teriyaki asparagus with oranges. Yummm! The asparagus was especially delicious! Id never really had beets, so that was cool. Theyre not my super favorite, and Id probably get the Brussels sprouts next time, but I think thats just because of the flavor of beets themselves, not how they were prepared. I still ate them all and wouldnt hesitate to recommend them to a beet-lover!My husband and our friend both had the blackberry ham and cheese panini and they sure didnt skimp on the ham! They both really liked it!Did I mention the customer service? If you notice in the picture of my plate of food (which I didnt take a picture of till halfway through my meal--there was a lot more food before I started eating!), the salad is kinda pushed to the side. I got my food and looked at the salad and went, hmmm... I think theres cheese in that dressing. The dressing was just drizzled on, and wasnt touching anything, so I just pushed it to the side, but after about 2 mins, the lady who took my order came over and was like, Dont eat the dressing! It has dairy in it! She offered to bring me another salad with an alternate dressing (I did balsamic vinaigrette). I was like, She cares about me! The manager (owner maybe?) was also talking to my dining companions about the interesting combination of the blackberry with the ham, and came over to see how they liked it. It was really nice.So, to sum up: a very nice, clean, cute atmosphere, great food with some awesome healthy options, and really caring staff! All around fantastic! Would absolutely recommend!

We met some locals for our first visit here, and were very impressed with the quality and freshness of the dishes. Some unusual and striking options, such as the avocado pie, were must try selections and greatly enjoyed at our table. We had sandwiches and salads, followed by pie. Im sure we will be back. The prices are a bit high, but not out of line with the quality. The arrangement (order on the right side of the counter, pay at the left, pick up drinks at the left, return to the right to retrieve the entrees) makes sense but is a bit uncomfortable for a newcomer. We got the sense that most of the customers were regulars.

Cafe 1217 offers the best lunch in Hot Springs. The food is always spectacular and well worth the trip. The menu changes every month so repeat visits are a must. Every dish on the changing menu makes a memorable meal. Diane is an amazing chef, she makes food for people to fall in love with.

We had the Reuben sandwich and the Hawaiian H & C with the Waldorf salad. All were excellent and very filling. We each took a half sandwich home for later. Prices reasonable for the very good quality. Extremely busy and loud place (around 1 pm), but atmosphere was fun and attractive. Not great for a 93 year old w/hearing aides (had to remove) and walker, but she really enjoyed the food, as did I. Looking forward to checking out some of the other menu offerings!

The best patty melt I ever ate!! They use a special beef in it and you can taste the difference, not always on the menu though. Also enjoyed the coconut and caramel pie and the unique Brussels seasoned with orange.

Awesome food. Ive spent a week in AR road tripping. This is the best food Ive had all week. Gourmet to go or dine in is right. Its priced that way. And it also tastes that way. I dined in and ordered a sandwich to go. Great gluten free sandwich bread.

I’m sure we have all had that moment when you take a bite of food and ask yourself, “where have you been all of my life?” I did that at a recent luncheon while at Cafe 1217. My entire table did that as well. Fresh, vibrant and delicious food. Healthy options. Generous portions. Cafe 1217 is worth your time. Your tummy will thank you. I love Cafe 1217. Its one of my favorite restaurants. Their salads are always fresh and delicious and have wonderful healthy ingredients. And since I am gluten free, dairy free and egg free. They get my order right.

If had to pick one word to describe them it would be fresh. Every dish they have you can tell not only that its freshly made but how fresh the ingredients are. This isnt food thats been sitting in a cooler for months on end just waiting to be used. From their lunch specials to their traditional menu items its all so delicious. One of Hot Springs true delights. I highly recommend getting there early for lunch to find a parking spot.

The wife and I were quite surprised out how great a place this was. Fresh creations from sandwiches, salads, and all kinds of deserts. I had the lobster roll, and think it may have been the best Ive eaten. Great flavor and fresh ingredients.

We arrived at the heart of lunch time and despite the place being crowded and busy, service was attentive and efficient. That was quite a pleasant surprise.The food is colorful and artistic in its presentation, the textures are equally superlative. The flavors however, I felt, lagged behind, being more subdued and mundane. This may be more suitable to this places clientele, whom I have no doubt find this a perfect compliment to their early morning goat yoga session.All in all, good food, but at the prices they charge, for the portions they serve, is off putting. The help are very enthusiastic pointing out how awesome the food is but I would say that is strictly in context to the fact that its being served in central Arkansas, not known as a culinary tour de force. Ive eaten here several times and I generally feel the same way after each time, that Ive done something wrong. It just seems odd to pay this much money in this town for what you get. But there is no doubt in market for it and they do it well and when I have a craving for high-priced vegetables this will be the place where I go. I would expect these kinds of prices in say New York City but it seems odd in the small town that two people cant walk out of that place for lunch for less than $40.
