Beautiful, delicious, moist cake! They were able to take my order the day before I needed it (not saying they always have the availability, but luckily, they did when I called!). I requested a not-so-sweet cake, and they gave great recommendations. I ordered a strawberry shortcake-style cake with whipped frosting, and it was amazing! Also got a caramel cupcake and a few cookies--all fantastic!

This was my first time here and Nancy is the one who served me. As soon as you walk in youre greeted by the wonderful smell of baked goods. Its a quaint little bakery, that you can enjoy a drink and your treat of choice.The sweet potato cake is absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend getting it. The cookies are very good. We have only tried peanut butter so far but, we still have the southern butter pecan and oatmeal raisin to try. The cupcakes are good as well. I would recommend coming here.

I ordered a Pina Colada Cake . I asked the cake was moist and the coconut was toasted . I was told yes . I picked up the cake on March 31 2021 I noticed the coconut was not toasted but I did notice that the design of the cake was that of Cary C’s . Coming from New York I figured a Pina Colada cake would be easy . Oh how I was wrong after surprising my son with his favorite the cake was dry overly frosted and the pineapple was dry and salted . I would not recommend this place . I took to the reviews but now see the reviews must consist of closed friends and family they just robbed me of 70 for a cake quality of Carly C’s .

My experience with this establishment dates back roughly 2 years for my wedding cake. I was doing a small rustic apple orchard themed wedding, and needed a cake to fit my theme. First off, their cake flavors and icing flavors are delicious! I tasted many places in town and most of them were bland and dry. Even their fondant tasted good and that stuff usually tastes like chewy cardboard if you do it wrong. I ordered a 2 tier cake and cupcakes for the guests. The fondant decorations were so cute and the owners were easy and fun to work with. They delivered my wedding cake on time the day of my wedding and everyone loved it. Thank you for such a lovely experience!

Ive been ordering my daughters birthday cake from Kiss Me Cakes Bakery and Dessert Shop since she was born! Every year this local and family owned bakery delivers excellent quality. I HIGHLY recommend this business for all of your sweet treats.

Absolutely disappointed with the lack of understanding and customer service from THE OWNER. Placed an order and paid in full. The owner took my order and payment but failed to inform me that there was a 50% non-refundable fee. I had called back to cancel the order the same day a few hours later and at that point informed me of the non-refundable fee. The owner stated the policy was at the bottom of the receipt after I already paid. I asked for a full refund since I was not made aware of the policy and would have been positively certain of arrangements with my step daughters graduation dessert. I informed her of the full situation and asked for compassion. The owner then compared reciting business policy to that of Wal-Mart “you don’t expect Wal-Mart to recite their policy every time you make a purchase I don’t do that every time an order is placed either.” She stated my order being in the book cost her potential business. I told her I understand as a business owner you get last minute cancellations and that costs you money which was why I was extending the courtesy of canceling as soon as I knew I did not need the order. She then Went on to say in other words the the time she had to spend on the phone with me was a cost to her. She said she would go as high as refunding 75%. I told her I thought it would be fair to be refunded the amount paid less the credit card processing fee for the inconvenience. I asked her how much the fee was and She went to go check numbers and came back saying the most she could do is 75% and that she did not have to disclose the account fee to me which is the owners right. The order had not been worked on and no special items had to be ordered to complete my purchase. I had simply just booked an order for May 28th. I paid roughly $116 and was refunded $87. I had to plead with the owner and make a federal case out of the issue for several minutes in order to be shown some compassion. I don’t expect special treatment but this was not the typical last minute cancellation and I was NOT made aware of a 50% non-refundable fee. With major corporations it’s common knowledge you have a Grace period for full refunds with restrictions. This is a small business and I was treated like major corporations treat their consumers!

If I could give no star I WOULD!!!I ordered a cake for a friend’s 50th birthday. Once I got the cake home in some decent lighting you could see the terrible craftsmanship. It was dry and the so called designs were poorly drawn and the flowers were dry and falling off. Absolutely horrible! I was too embarrassed to take it to the event. I had to run out and purchase a new cake from Nothing Bundt cakes and that cake was AMAZING! I actually believe my two year old niece could have designed the Kiss Me Cakes disaster better than they did. I would not count on this business to provide you with a quality cake for a major event!!!! YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED... I WAS. She never returned my calls or emails. The cake is still in my refrigerator unused.

I’ve been coming here for about 4 years now and I’ve never had a bad experience. The cakes and cookies are always delicious and fresh but most of all made with expertise! The German chocolate and Italian cream cake slices are divine!!! Superb treats and outstanding customer service!

Had to last minute plan our wedding and Kiss Me Cakes came through with the win. Took our idea and made it reality plus it tasted amazing. Thank you for being apart of our special day. We would recommend you in the future for friends and family.

I ordered a cake for my daughter’s birthday that totaled up to $165, My daughters birthday fell right before COVID-19 happened and sadly I had to cancel her birthday party and cancel my order for her birthday cake. I had to put an $88 deposit down and when I canceled the order, they gave me 50% back of my deposit and explain to me that the rest would go towards their “rewards points”. Fast forward to me trying to use the “rewards” that would total up to $44 accounted for that they kept, they are telling me that I can only get a single cupcake or brownie. Confused as to how $44 equals one cupcake or brownie, I am highly upset with this establishment and will not be ordering from them again.

Worst place if you need an order in a weeks notice. I’ve called this place 4 times for an order and they can never have the time. I would not waste my time dealing with this bakery.I see they could help the man at the last minute but I guess my voice was not as nice because I had 4 days and they couldn’t even take my order. Wow!!!! Wonder who owns this place. Favorites?????The owner replied but here’s my issue, there are several reviews just recently may I add that cakes where made in a day or two. So when I called you need two weeks? Nope... got what I needed from another bakery and without someone who wanted to help. The person answering your phone is not even interested when you call. Yep I’m glad you have business during this time but word of mouth is everything and I intend to pass along how unhappy I was today. You just lost money this week and the future.

If I could give less than one I would. I referred them to someone else because others said they were good. I Spent hours talking with the owner for my referral. They Put in a big order for prom centerpieces and the person I referred informs me that they were never made and couldnt get in contact with them the day of pickup. Another person who I wasnt aware orderd from them came to me to fix One of thier cake orders for a 70th bday that was not done as requested. It was a very expensive, boring, plain, border and numbers only cake and not the right size. It could only have feed half the people requested and it was dry tasting. Buyer beware!

I gave them a picture of a cake I wanted and they made it exactly as shown and the prices are great. They are my new favorite cake shop.

I am not sure how this place has anything but 5 stars all the time—everything here is incredible! Had a colleague who lived near this bakery and would bring in cakes from here to work—they were beyond amazing! I actually drive from Southern Pines to Hope Mills just for this bakery! Ordered a birthday cake from here today and it was the best German chocolate cake I have ever had! Can’t say enough good things about how delicious these cakes and cupcakes are!

Kiss Me cakes is one of my new favorite places to go. What a wonderful Bakery. The cakes are very much above average and the cupcakes are delectable. I highly recommend this place for any occasion that you may need a cake or cupcakes for. This is a true Jewel in Hope Mills.

I have been a loyal customers from the time they have open until now. Love supporting local business but unfortunately some small business take a vantage. I had just order a birthday cake for my son last week then five days later order myself a birthday cake . My fiancé decided to surprise me and order me the same cake. I didn’t find out until he came home from work and we was able to communicate that we both ordered the same cake. I called the shop and spoke to a guy he was very rude and disrespectful and blatantly annoyed with the situation and told me it is policy that he will not refund me the cake or cancel the order, mind you it has only been two hours that pass, mind you I have been a loyal customer I just bought a cake five days ago . I asked him can I hold the credit for my next birthday coming up which will be in October he said no I cannot help you . Now I ordered this cake over the phone and the policy was not read out loud to me how am I supposed to know how strong this small business policy is . If I would’ve known the policy I probably would’ve asked around my family members if anybody ordered me a cake before I took it upon myself to do so . I asked to speak to the owner she called me back and said the same thing she would not hold my credit until October and she will not give me a refund she will only give me half of a refund which to me seems pretty unfair because it was just two hours ago that I placed this order . Instead She said I will hold a credit for only 30 days I just got done with two birthdays back to back I have no reason to use $38 with in the next 30 days at a bakery. This really saddens me I’m very disappointed

They are amazing! I always come here for special cakes from ice bowl cakes to names spelled out. Ive even brought a picture in of a cake and they far met expectations. I think this may be Hope Mills’ “hidden gem” the cupcakes were light and not overpoweringly sweet. The price was extremely reasonable. It’s a quaint little bakery that is absolutely worth the visit!

I ordered a cake for my sisters 60th birthday. It was supposed to be marble but it was almost all chocolate. Unfortunately my mom could not eat it.I did order marble chocolate/ vanilla,,, this cake was mainly chocolate with a very tiny bit of vanilla. It was not marble. I have also downgraded my review based on your response. I originally gave you three stars because I believed your customer service was good. Everyone thought the cake was very average. It was an important birthday and your cakes are expensive for what you get. I was not pleased.

Recommended by a friend and will NOT be going back. I dont mind paying for quality, and the flavors were good (not stellar by any means, just good). We were very specific about color, and it couldnt have been more off. The cupcakes werent proportionate or uniform as you would expect for those prices, some had baked and slid outside of the cupcake holders, and for $24 a dozen, I expected more. These looked like they came out of someones home kitchen, not a professional bakery. But that I could even live with. It was the rude little girl on the phone that turned me off. When you charge people as if youre at the top of your game, youd better be. First and foremost, when customers pre-pay you for their goods, try not to be snippy with them, it certainly doesnt encourage repeat business. If you expect to continue to grow your business, learn how to treat customers. I didnt come here because I had time to give you another chance to make it right. I came here because you portray yourselves as professionals. you should have gotten it right the first time. They acted like they could have cared less about giving us good customer service. Well certainly go somewhere else next time. What a waste of money, and rude staff.

I ordered a cake a week in advance for my daughters 18th birthday, to be picked up at 1pm on Wednesday, November 23, 2016. I called on 11/22/16 and spoke with the owner regarding a different order, but she confirmed that shed be seeing me tomorrow, 11/23 to pick up my order.At 12pm on the day of pick up, the owner called to inform me the cake was not ready and shed call me when it was done.She then called again at 3:30pm on the day of pick up to tell me she couldnt have it ready until Friday, November 25, 2016, the day of my daughters 18th birthday party.I chose to pick the cake up early on Wednesday for the party on Friday, as my office is only 5 minutes from the bakery and my home is 40 minutes, one way.I have had some wonderful experiences here, but this was just ridiculous.When I arrived on Friday the 25th, 2 days later than my originally scheduled pick up, I was not offer an apology or a discount. I highly doubt I will ever be using this bakery again after this experience.
