Please do not use this place for your rental needs. I dealt with it because I didn’t no any better. I was relieved once my washer and dryer were paid off. After I paid it off, I noticed the insurance was still being drafted out of my account. It’s funny how if you forget to pay your bill they will hound you like crazy but will not give you the courtesy to call you up and say “hey, would you still like to continue paying insurance on your purchase or would you like to stop the auto draft”. The insurance wasn’t much (around $3) so I didn’t realize it was being drafted for several weeks. Needless to say that money will not be credited…The one time I did have an issue with my washer it was like pulling teeth to get someone out to come service it. I ended up paying Sears to come out and fix it, which by the way was awesome, prompt, and friendly. I don’t want to get started on the customer service at this place either. The people are very unprofessional and they constantly put you on hold for the simplest questions. My washer and dryer is decent but I’m embarrassed to say how much I paid for it in the end. Lesson learned and they will NEVER get my business again. Stay far away!
I think the store Manager Angie is freaking awesome always so pleasant and understanding.
I ordered a beautiful living room set bundle and when they delivered it to my home, we discovered that the couch was too big to fit into my home. I was truly devastated and ready to give up but Mrs. Angie being the exceptionally kind hearted woman she is, took the rest of the day and drove to 2 other stores to find another beautiful set that would fit inside my door frame. I am so grateful for her passion for customer service. I definitely recommend going to rent a center in Hopemills to make your dream home a reality.Thank you Mrs. Angie for caring about me as a person and taking care of my family and me!
Although I cant speak for the franchise as a whole, this store is full of helpful and considerate people who seem to just want to help out the customers.

Never again same memories from the same experience I had as a child. Get out of business with rent a center climb in bed with Aarons you feel right at home. Rent a center need a special training for the imperfect people who pay bills cause God forbid if the customer paid on time because they can the ones who try and negotiate on behalf of ours families are threaten to have a table my baby girls eat on taken away because I rather feed them. He told me I can have my $30 to feed my babies or put it toward the dining table. Make it short the table is gone we eat on the floor but now we learn who not jump in bed with for business. Rent a center is bad business if their not getting all the profit.

Terrible business!! Don’t waste your time or money the general manager is very rude and has a bad attitude I had came in to rent a laptop and I asked the General Manager Mark what kind of laptops they had and he responds with “you didn’t look on the website did you” no I didn’t other wise I wouldn’t have asked to begin with long story short I still ended up wanting to get the laptop and I had the money in my account for about three days they never took it so I called the store twice that week to see what was going on they assured me it was taken care of . Then I get a call back about three days later and they tell me my bill is due so I tell them they told me it was paid for already and I had the receipt on my app and he tells me that he would talk to his manager to see what was going on so they tell me it’s considered past over due now and went from paying the $65 and jumped up to $150 I took the device back because I refused to pay it because of their bad business and they told me I still had to pay the $85 EVEN THOUGH I RETURNED it and if I didn’t have the $85 at the time they can’t take it back.. what kind of bull is that?? Then I tell him that I called them 3 times and they assured me the payment went through and he acts like he has amnesia keep in mind I had just called about 30 mins before I came ..TERRIBLE business the general manager is unprofessional the store need new staff ASAP!
I was treated so disrespectful by the so called manager mark and his employee james I have never been treated so disrespectful! I will never return to this store again! They definitely need to replace the so called manager mark very rude!!!
My mom is disable her name ia sandra she had a stroke and tv is her life she got a tv from here and she got behind 1 payment and Mark the manger begun calling her telling her she was going to jail if ahe didnt return it all kinds of things he lied and told her she had been 10 payments late and she has even had 10 payments yet he was yelling and carrying on with my mom.i will go to Aaron or suggest ppl go to aarons rent canter in hopemills is a bad place

Ive been a customer since early 2016 I was pregnant & in deperate need of a new washer & dryer set. I havent never had any problems with anybody or my appliances and caught my set at a deal too, now the monthly price does vary monthly. The staff seams laid back but defiantly can have attitudes. They address me by name by remembering me, I like that though all in all thier good location and a good store with good deals ! :)
I have never had a problem with Rent-A-Center the whole time I have rented from them and then today I speak to the manager and he is definitely rude to me very disrespectful for no reason and Im sorry thats just not how you do customer service and I will be contacting corporate over him because you cant have people like that working in an environment that youre trying to bring more people into the business

STAY AWAY, STAY FAR AWAY!!!!! They were nice when we went in to the store when we placed our order to get a TV, Couch, and washer/dryer... it was down hill from there. They told my husband and I who were expecting a baby at the time that if we pay every payment up until we have our baby if we missed a payment or two it wouldn’t be a big deal we’d just pay it the next week. WELL we missed one payment and they had a fit even when we let them know and this was months after we had our child. It was during hurricane florence.On top of it all when our things were delivered they were 3 hours late and forgot our hook ups for the washer and dryer. When they came to pick up our TV and washer/dryer they were 2 hours late. Now!!! I called for them to pick up our couch and guess who is late again... I just called to find out where they were and they said it’s be anoth hourish... could not give me a time. Just like everyone else we have things to do and will not be home. Then the man on the other end of the line had an attitude when I called him out about there tardiness. If you can go somewhere else DO IT! You will thank me and all the others who left a review later!Let me remind you if this was a payment they would be breathing down your back and they’d be at your house everyday promptly at 6 o’clock!It’s a mistake. It’s a trap. Don’t do it. Do not waste your money.
The lady behind the desk in the left back office was completely ignorant. Her attitude was deplorable and she simply seemed angry because of how obese she is. Maybe it was her rolls hanging over her clothes that made her so mean but I give their customer service and professionalism skills a ZERO. Avoid this location because of horrible service and the furniture looks old and worn just like the sales staff!

They delivered roach infested furniture to my mother house. It still amazes me how the young men assemble the table knowing it had roaches in it. What in thee hell. Called corporate n they sent a exterminator out to my mother house because she threw the dang table in her garage. Talked to the exterminator and he said this happens all the time with rent a center. I wouldnt recommend this place to my worst enemy who still has roaches in 2017. This place needs to be shut thee hell down. Management sorry and they workers are sorry.
I wish I could give no stars... I called and asked about a tablet and the guy said they did not have it in his store and that he will go get it we talked about payments and all. Well I called before going and asked was my lapop there so I dont waste a trip... she told me that when I fill out the paper work and get approved I could leave with my laptop. In my language that means it is there. So I drove up there sat for 2 hours... and got approve paid for my laptop and waited.... then they tell me in is not there. Ok the guy then says I will go and drive and get it and I will take it to your house. Ok we leave around 2 well here it is 10:18 at night same daym day and nothing... they guy did not bring me my laptop and on top of all that they dont have a voice mail set up so I cant leave a voice message. Also they are closed on sudays sooooo... they are a joke when they say somthing it wont happen and you buy somthing and you dont even get it. Guess who will get a month free or paid for. I am not playing games. Do not go there, rude service and nothing but lies.
They SERIOUSLY need to consider new management, everyone that works there are idiots! They will be a week to 2 weeks late with your delivery and then sell you equipment that is defective and wouldnt even come out to fix it. They have horrible attitudes, especially Antonio, Shawn, and Latisha. They need new staff badly.
If I could I would give them negative 5 stars the account manager Antonio is rude an like to threaten customers with violence an was yelling in my yard.when I called to speak with manager she didt seem to care these ppl are not professional an deserve not to have there jobs.if u like rude ppl this is the place for u ......
