I liked going to this store. I was able to find a few little decorative items I needed for the house. Its huge inside so definitely take your time going through it. You may find little gems for your home. They have furniture, rugs, decorative pillows, bedding, outdoor furniture, baskets, candles, picture frames, mirrors and so much more. My recommendation is look for quality items that can help enhance your home. Pick each item up before deciding, they do have items that are not very good quality.The staff was super nice in reaching for a tray I was interested in, I thought it was a pottery piece but it was made from cheap material so I had the staff put it back. I thought the prices of most things were pretty reasonable inside. Take a look inside, never know what you will find!

It was my first time shopping there and I was in love. I was like a kid in a candy store. The prices are kind of high, but they have everything. The store is really big so ware walking shoes.

I love At Home. They have a huge selection for all rooms inside your home and anything outdoor. I can always find something cute! Some of their stuff can be pricey but mostly they have fair prices and good quality products.

I had a wonderful experience at the Hoover location. Since it was my first time at the store I had no idea of how large it really is, but to my pleasure I was assisted by a wonderful associate by the name of Shannon who was very knowledgeable of the products and areas in the store and made it easy for me to find all the items I needed. Thanks at home store for having an associate who really knows whats going on, I will be back and tell family and friends of my experience.

I really love this store. I am there regularly and the staff are always pleasant. Yes, it can be a little disordered (and getting ready for the holidays a lot disordered) but thats part of the fun. Ive had to do several exchanges and have never had trouble. It is one of the cleanest At Home stores Ive shopped at.

Prices were not always easy to find. Some prices are a good deal while others are very high for what you are getting. I was disappointed overall. Not a good use of all the space they have. The store looks very cluttered in some areas.

This store has really nice items. Some generic some name brand! Got some really cool kitchen gadgets!

All the employees were wearing their masks as if they were chin guards. And they were all crowded around the checkout area breathing on top of their customers. It was SO inconsiderate. The manager had his mask down too! We were shopping here for several hours, and went by checkout 3 different times - at least 30 mins apart between each. No change. The best ones had the mask covering the mouth but not the nose. That doesn’t work either! I won’t come back to a location that puts so little value in the safety of its customers.Corporate needs to do a better job of making sure the employees are being respectful of their customers. I know I can’t be the only one who was uncomfortable today!

Neat stuff a bit cheaper then retail.

I ordered online for curbside pick up. I texted twice with order #, info, etc. when I arrived. I waited 15 min. Sent 2nd text. Waited another 15 min. Tried to call store twice, went to automated message system both times. Left message first, couldn’t leave message second time.Went into store, cashier radioed for pick up. Went back to car. Waited another 10 min. Had to go back inside. Store was not busy, few cars in parking lot. If I didn’t like what I ordered so much, I would have asked for a refund. Not impressed with At Home customer service.

Greatest home accessories store on the planet. The outdoor furniture is so tight, Id use it in my living room. Its black Friday every Saturday.

Place is pretty good - LOTS of stuff in a really large store. The prices are so so - somethings are priced really great while others arent priced much different than other home decor stores. What sets them apart is selection. You get a lot more options than most stores. Staffing is kinda weird though. For such a large store they dont have many people working. I came in late one night and they had locked 3 of the 5 doors. I felt like a rat in a maze trying to figure out how to get in. It gave off a we dont want anyone to come in vibe. Its definitely worth a check out. Great cookware selection.

My favorite place in the world. This place has gotten a lot better with the stocking. It’s used to be messy and I would drive all the way to Trussville to comfortably shop but not anymore. I don’t know if they have a new manager or what but the floor is stocked very neatly now. And everybody has always been nice here.

I liked this store. Its kinda jumbled up and an eclectic assortment of stuff. If youre at your Whits end you might find what youre looking for here.

Don’t even think about trying there order online pick up system. Went to the store to get our items and they said they would just call us later when they got it all pulled. What a waste of time! You would think during these times of them being close to shutting down from profit and sales lost, you would think they would want to go out of their way to do business and help customers. But this is not the case. Then about an hour later they just canceled our whole order. 17 items. Shame on them!

I absolutely love this place. This place is on my list of places to go on a weekly routine. Yes, sometimes it’s messy and disorganized but that makes it even more fun. I love how everything is different from other places and they have the best deals. My only complaint is the bathroom, it’s clean but there is always a high pitched noise in there that gives you a headache and it’s always scalding hot...but overall a fantastic place to find great deals on unique stuff

Mark off an entire day of your life if you plan on shopping here. Line wraps around the store. Cashiers (only 2 of them) clearly have zero interest in doing anything efficiently. Must have COVID brain. There aren’t even that many people in the store. I’ve been in line for 40 minutes as of the writing of this review and the line has advanced maybe 30% of the way to the cash registers. Either incentivize your cashiers with an extra $1 for each transaction they complete or install self checkout and let me do it myself (bypassing the painful inefficiency of your staff).

Store is utter chaos. Nothing is organized. The staff seems terribly short. I had a good expirenced with a man in the rugs department being very helpful as well as a young lady at the register being pleasant. Otherwise it was hectic. Nothing can be found easily. Management seems vacant or lazy. I will not be coming back but I feel sorry for the few workers there who truly try. Update: Came back to the store yesterday and was met with a rather rude lady up front who would repeated harass me about a credit card. I do not recommend having employees pester customers to sign up for something like a credit card when the store itself is complete trash. MANAGEMENT do your job better.

They have a nice selection of a lot of home decor and furnishings. Furniture is not what I consider high quality. Inspect every piece due to a lot of pieces having major deep scratches, dents or missing parts. It’s priced for what you get.

Every single time I come to this door there is an ungodly wait in the line. I called management and asked for assistant and he told me they are operating under certain restrictions right now. All stores are at this time. But when there are registers that are more than 6 feet apart and you can get no assistance. Its ridiculous. I would not recommend

Always have unique items I can always find what I am looking for

The lady up front was very rude to me as well as the other customers. She kept pushing people away while they were still finishing up putting their money away and she literally didnt even bag my item. I had to ask her to bag my item and she rolled her eyes about it and was slamming it around. Might I add that it was a breakable. Thankfully she didnt scratch it up or break it. Employees like her should be fired.Edit: decided to come BACK here after posting this around a year ago and it’s even worse now. The ENTIRE store like front to back is messy as ever, it looked like one of those thrift stores where they just throw stuff on shelves. There were absolutely no employees on the floor, just the two cashiers up front. I grabbed a random buggy when I first walked in and the cashier said “oh no ma’am, I’m using that.” First of all, it was empty. Second of all...RUDE!!!!This place has really gone downhill unfortunately.

First off this place is HUGE. On our first visit we probably spent an hour or more just going over just the high points of the inventory displayed.Sign up for the email offers. Weve been able to get a ton of great deals and they have quality products to boot.Among other finds, ee had been searching for a patio umbrella for a while, stumbled on an 11ft on sale for $30! Incredible. Weve had it up now for three months and no fading or sign of wear. Really good quality.Btw, At Home used to be named Garden Ridge. I always enjoyed the one in Duluth (Atlanta). Seems to be the same quality just a new name.

At Home has a ton of products for your home. I have found some great deals there and also some not-so-great deals. You have to be in the mood to look when you go in here because it is such a large place and they have so much. The employees are hard to find throughout the store and the cashiers aren’t very friendly but they aren’t rude either. This place is always on my list when I’m looking for home goods, but there are other stores I have had better experiences in.

So many home decor options! Seasonal to everyday needs. I found my unique tree topper here, great candles, artwork, mail sorter, kitchen odds and ends, and the list goes on. An easy place to get lost in decor possibilities!

Great store. If youre familiar with the Garden Ridge franchise... This is the exact same thing apparently. Not sure why it has been rebranded. Perhaps a regional thing. Outdoor furnishings, couches, bed spreads, wall decor, pillows, dog beds, season decorations, lighting fixtures etc etc etc for whatever you may need to make your house feel more AT HOME for yourself and guests. They do have 50% and other percentage markdowns from time to time but they dont really happen enough. Otherwise items here are fairly priced. Not overly expensive nor super discount cheap. The sheer vast selection and variety of departments and items in stock is at least worth an hour browse if youve never been here. Just check em out!

Noon on a Friday. One cashier. Realtors in front of me are buying 100 things to stage house. Every item is being wrapped. Cashier didnt bother to call for help.

Neat store for decorations.

I fear due to lack of staffing and poor management this location is a lawsuit waiting to happen. Several aisles were impossible to get in, others had random items sitting in the middle of the floor. I witnessed an elderly shopper almost trip and fall over something thrown on the floor. I love the selection and products at this store. I first thought it was a store reset in progress...until a coworker shared the same experience the day prior.

Nice selection of descent quality home goods for a somewhat reasonable price.

This was my first time to ever visit the At Home store, and because of that I feel as though I can offer a very honest and unbiased opinion. For me personally I felt the quality was too low, and the prices were way too high. Now this could be because I was looking for a specific item, a small table to place under the wall mounted flat screen to be exact, but if their tables/small furniture items a reflection on the rest of the store buyer beware! I never thought I would say this, but the small furniture items at Walmart and Target are of greater quality with much more reasonable price. Typically I dont waste time writing reviews, but this review may save someone else some valuable time while shopping; time that we cant get back.

I found what I was looking for at a good price.

Specifically made the trip for holiday decorations and two aisles were completely bare. On my found two of the items from my at home online list. Was told they had been sold out of most things since they started their holiday items sales in AUGUST. Wont be back for future shopping.

You can walk around for hours. Its a big place. Its fill with lots of goodies for your home decor. What ever you need should be there. Clearance stuff is great look out for tags with red marks through them thats half off. The staff are friendly and helpful.

I had no idea this place was here until very recently. Me and my fiancé were surprised and loved how many products they had for reasonable prices. We bought some picture frames and pillows. If you’re looking for any home goods I’d definitely try this store out.

If they’re going to act like a robot that can’t speak then y’all might as well invest in self checkout. My visit to this store has to be the worst shopping experience I have ever had. I recently moved to the Hoover area and was looking for bathroom decor for my new apartment. I went to this location and found two beautiful plants that I thought would look great in the bathroom, they were they only ones of that kind in the store. Needless to say they did not have a price tag or a scan sticker. When I got to the register, Carol Smith was the most rude sales associate I have ever encountered. She appeared to be training another lady as well at the time. She told me I could not purchase the plants because there was absolutely no way for her to ring it up, and demanded I go back and bring her another plant exactly like it to ring up. I told her there werent anymore and asked if there was another way. The snapped at me and said that there wasnt and I could not purchase them. I was so offended that I didnt want to buy the other items I had in the cart, and proceeded to walk out. I turned back and asked what her name is, she told me and I responded with a thank you. As I walked to my car, she followed behind me and yelled her name once more from across the street... Carol Smith does not need to deal with clients if she does not have client focused skills. I have worked in retail before and I would not have had that job if I didnt like dealing with people. I really hope her attitude is corrected, but I will let everyone I know about my experience there, and I will no long visit this store.

Lots of space and item selection. The prices are good, sometimes higher than other places and sometimes way lower. Their sale system includes marking a colored line through the barcode so it sometimes becomes confusing but the best store to shop for your home decor in hoover.
