The employees are nice but the owner had the worst attitude Ive encountered. Not only was he extremely rude to me but he was also very rude to several other customers. I have made errangments for pick up to be at noon and didnt even leave the lot till almost 3pm. Before leaving the lot you need to do a vehicle inspection and fill it out on u-hauls website(all from email). On my email it said the milage was several hundred miles lower than what the actual milage was of that particular vehicle. I told him this and he began to argue with me about what the contract said. I pointed out I wasnt talking about the contract but the websites milage(which you cannot change). He got very upset and told me I could either leave the lot without doing the inspection because he didnt have the time to send me another link, or come back the next day but I wasnt garrunted the vehicle I needed(8ft pickup). And I had notified him of this at about 1pm. Because he was upset he purposely made me wait. And on top of that the vehicle wasnt even cleaned out from the previous driver(s). Overall he was very rude, extremely unprofessional, and not a kind individual to deal with. If I could rate it negative stars I would.

Ive used Uhaul on island twice and both experiences have been fantastic. The staff is nice and they have a good selection of trucks and trailers. They also have storage units available. We bought some boxes which are good quality and they also buy back the ones you dont end up using.

The crew and manager were very helpful, and very understanding when my needs changed last-minute. They really made the whole ordeal of moving and finding storage a lot less stressful. They honestly went above and beyond what I expected from a storage place. Theyve def earned my business.

I needed a rent a uhaul in between while I was moving. Lease ended on Sept 30. New lease started Oct 1 so I needed to rent a uhaul for 2 days. They conveniently dont stock their town location so you have to drive all the way to Nimitz (even if theyre site says they have it in stock-- you really should call).Anyways, I was suppose to return it before noon. My friend who was heading to the airport offered to take it in the morning since he had a early morning flight. He dropped it off at 645am and they opened at 7am, so I was charged a $20 convenience or after hours charge.I was disappointed that it wasnt clearly communicated to me and they relied on fine print in the contract. They even encouraged me to drop it off early which seems deceitful.Also estimated $60 and actual cost came in out to $115

Worst attitude. Came in the door and the only person working is having an argent on the phone outside the door. He only comes in when i ask him if he works here. He signals that he is the one working. Whatever he was doing on the phone seemed personal. I think we should have some other people working instead of him. Bad image for the company.Name tag said “General Manager.” Uhaul should get someone else to watch the counters. Bad attitude.

The Staff is incredible! Professional and kind. They ensure Customer satisfaction. Just know, this is a busy place. It may take some time to receive service - but when you do, they make sure you are taken care of. Felicia and Michael are awesome!!!Will be back here again!

I got charged an extra $30, they said it was because of extra miles but I literally counted them for my trip before and during. Everyone says there is nothing they can do to help, hence why I’m writing this review. Also they need to badly stock their locations. Tried returning the van at a location close to me because I wasn’t told it only could be returned to one pretty far from me, so wasted miles just trying to return it because employees couldn’t properly inform me. Will not be using this company again.

Location floods when there is a high tide (3xweek), employs wont give you a ride across the street. Female employe splash me on her way to drop the truck I rented. Another worker drive around in circle picking up and dropping off but wouldnt give me a ride across the street

Everything went well except for the fact that I returned the truck early, had less than a 6 mile trip both ways. Literally went from Mapunapuna to Tripler area. Then I returned the truck. An employee comes out and says to me are you using the same card on file? Yes. Okay leave the keys in the truck and have a good day. I leave and 2 days later. I receive a call say ummmmmm where is our truck? Are you fricken kidding me? If I get charged wrong, im suing. How do you not know where your truck is? How are you running your business? Make sure people that you stay and get a receipt from these people and make sure that you are coming in contact with them hardcore and record everything because apparently you can rent a truck for an hour, return it and it disappears. NOT HAPPY!

The manager, Rod, has made me a Uhaul fan forever. I was going through a difficult time in life, and he took care of everything. He made sure that my things were safe. He was there to answer questions off the clock. It was very clear that he cared. I have not had such great customer service anywhere else for as long as I can remember.

I went here to pick up some supplies for my move and the customer service was awesome. I ordered a lot of supplies and the cashier started gathering them without me asking as soon as I said my name and she looked up my order number. I also couldnt carry everything back to my car in one trip so the cashier also helped me carry the products back to my car without me asking. I am impressed with the customer service here and would recommend others come to this place. I cant wait to pick up the u-haul I ordered and I expect the same top notch service as before.

Absolutely horrible experience. Firstly, we made a reservation for a van weeks in advance. We called in on the day of our reservation to make sure our van was ready and they stated that it was ready. Only to find out that they gave it away and that we had to wait 2 hours for another van when we had our whole day planned out already. Once it came the time to get our van, we had to wait another 2 hours to get the van prepares and have the previous renters pay their dues which they didn’t anyways. And that’s not even the last of this appalling experience. The disgusting odor left from the previous renters stayed when we were renting it. These people were not able to clean the van properly and thoroughly enough to get rid of a simple stench. Also, we were not able to get a discount for all the troubles they cost us. Overall, incredibly bad customer service.

This place is ideal if you are more interested in cost than quality. Unfortunately I have had more of a negative experience than a positive one with this business. Some are minor, i.e. bathrooms, to a cpl of major ones, like their facility being flooded a cpl of times.

Had a hitch put on my CRV, was done quickly and professionally. I recommend these guys for a hitch job. Usually have a lot of the main models in stock. That or a truck rental too.

Worst moving company ever! I usually dont leave negative reviews cause Im normally a very positive person but i have got to get word out about this corrupt company.First of all a little background. My wife booked a Ubox way back in July to plan for our move on September 17 to Hawaii. The agent on the phone told us they would drop off a box on August 29 in order for shipment to arrive on September 17. My wife was concerned that if we loaded the box on Aug 29, that it wouldnt be there on time. The agent assured her multiple times, sent her a confirmation email and everything that the shipment would arrive by September 17. Ok cool.August 28 comes and we make plans for the shipping box to arrive. At that point we are notified that our shipment will not be in port in Hawaii until Oct 16- one whole month later. What does U-Haul do? Not a freakin thing! We call and tell them the dilemma and after about 1 hour on the phone between multiple agents, managers, and offices they say in so many words that we have to bend over and take it up the tailpipe. Well were out of time so what can we do now? Nothing. So we have to go with U-Haul. They drop it off and we load it and they pick it up the next day. At this point we are already making arrangements to not have our stuff for a whole month. Definitely not ideal.Skip forward to Sept 25. My wife gets an email from U-Haul stating the box came in earlier than expected. We make arrangements well in advance to pick it up on Sept. 29th at 9am. We show up and theres 2 people running the whole show. We wait for 3 hours for our box because apparently nobody knew it was there and the computers were down and the forklift wasnt working, blah blah blah... um, so what? Not my problem. The reservations were made far enough in advance that this shouldnt have been an issue. All the same, I kept my cool despite this frustrating situation. To top off the cake when we later returned our Ubox after unloading it that same day (which I half expected it to be the wrong one) along with the truck we rented, there was nobody to help me check it in... I had to literally interrupt and flag somebody down to get any attention after waiting half an hour... there wasnt even a line...And one guy was even condescending and disrespectful when I mentioned something in the contract I wasnt previously aware of. I couldnt believe it!I remember U-Haul as a kid and it was a strong, reputable company. This kind of BS and extremely poor customer service should not exist with any such company. I cannot overstate my disappointment and I regrettably will never do business with any U-Haul again.

DO NOT GO HERE. We changed our reservation for an hour earlier, which we were told was no problem. When we returned the truck, we were charged twice, with the employee claiming that we had to be charged for the first reservation and the second one. Worst of all, the female employee made absolutely no attempt to help, and when an argument ensued she literally told my pregnant wife youre lucky Im at work. Yes, the employee threatened a pregnant woman. She needs to be fired.

Long lines, slow service, even with reservations, only 1 good customer service staff.. be careful where you park, streets flood frequently in this area and you may come back here and find your vehicle sitting in a lake. Overpriced.be sure to double check the gas, milage, and vehicle conditions on checkout and return. Have had issues with all of these things on several occasions. Avoid weekend use as this is usually the slowest service periods

This place offers a good service and decent value. You just have to budget time for your pick ups and drop offs. It takes 20 min to get out the door, plan accordingly and you wont stress out. Call ahead and make a reservation.

I made my reservation but when I came into pick up I had to wait a good 15 -20 minutes because of the volume of people. Didnt expect that, cut into the 4 hours I was borrowing the vehicle. But the timing worked out and got it done in time.

Truck wasnt ready when we arrived because apparently someone stole fuel from it. U-Haul charged us for it. They would not honor their $50 guarantee thats posted all over their website. After we returned the truck, they emailed and charged us another $5×.×× then proceeded to say if we dont pay it, they will add a $30 late payment fee. Dont go to this place. They are desparate for money.

I was very tired when I picked up my Uhaul Cargo Van and misunderstood what I was checking out. When I realized that I had one-too-many dollies, Chris was very cool about readjusting my contract. The employees there are pretty awesome from what I could see. Only gripe I had was that the Uhaul Cargo Van I rented was very temperamental when I tried to use the key to lock all of the doors, so I had to manually lock all of the doors when I left the vehicle unattended.

So Im a paying storage customer and Ive had such a bad experience with this storage facility. Not necessarily Uhaul storages around the world, but this one in particular. First of all I got a quote for a unit and was given a great rate. Come to the storage after 7pm and was locked out because the representative never told me there was an extra charge for after hours access. Again, I was told 24 hour access when I signed up, but here I am with a full truck load and not able to access my storage. Second, I forget my access card at home and ask to be let in and they said they would have to charge me to let me into my own storage that I pay for. Poor customer service. Maybe its a Hawaii thing. But I felt I needed to write this review.

Not very friendly, the person who help me was good he knew what I was towing plus it says what I was towing on the online reservation.. But he took a lo my time. Come to find out it was wrong trailer.it was The 2nd person who was mad at me. The people who answer the phone calls and the people who work at the store had 2 different andwers, the people at the shop have lousy attitude. I told the person who made the 1st reservation exactly what I was towing online I needed it the for 1 day. We went thru this long and detail Q&As lengths, width weight tow hitch etc x 2 and I got the full ok no problem well have it ready deal. But I didnt pick it up that day.

I rented a tow Dolley and pay $47.06 deposit with my card, then when I returned it I paid cash and they told me that they will return the money to my card in a max o 7 calendar days. I called to their office 10 days after since the money gets to my account, and they told me that someone will call me to solve the issue and 3 days after the first call no one has communicated with me, now I’m calling and nobody pick it up.

The staff can be a crap shoot, some days they are great and others are terrible. When they are busy it can be 20 minutes before youre helped. Storage rates have gone up twice in a years time for a total of $15. The storage is clean on the inside but looks beat to hell on the outside.

I have several issues to address concerning the worst customer service experience of my life regarding contract #s 00548738 and 26685468.I made a reservation for a 9 U-Haul van on Sunday, 1/31/16. When I made the reservation online, there was an error processing my request. I called a couple places and they did not have a van available. I had to inconveniently go to a location that was out of the way from where I lived and was moving to.Once I arrived to the 2722 Kilihau Street location, nobody was working inside. Even after yelling Hello, is anyone here?, nobody showed up. I waited a couple minutes and still nobody showed up. I attempted to yell for someone again and nobody showed up. I ended up going outside to find someone. Finally, a young man called for another man and said, He went hiding again. I assume he was referring to the employee who was not inside working.One employee (W) ended up helping me at the counter first. He seemed to have difficulties confirming my online reservation. He seemed hesitant upon letting me have the only van that was available. Prior to this, the employee who I was able to get a hold of outside mentioned to him, We have no vans available. I assume it had not been cleaned for use yet.He asked a couple times if I was sure if I wanted the van. I told him yes because I had to move out by the end of the day on Sunday.I had tried to purchase boxes online, but I got an error so I told W I wanted to purchase boxes from them. I asked him how much the extra large box was and he told me $3.30 for one box. Then when he rung of the boxes, they showed up as $4.45. I asked him what the real price was and he kept saying $3.30 and that it would reflect once I made the payment. The missing employee (J) finally showed up. He quoted a different price and said the box was $3.95. I told him that the price showing on my end of the screen was still showing $4.45. Then he said, Those are the correct prices. He took the sheet W was referring to with the $3.33 price, crumpled it up and tossed it in the trash.Both employees told me that I would be paying about $72. Before I swiped my card, I told them my end was showing me $112. They said that the system was just placing a hold on my account since I was paying with a debit card and that I would be refunded the difference. I told him to switch it to credit and he said it was too late. But, I had not even signed the authorization yet.Then J said that he could refund me the amount for the boxes if I bought a bundle. So I bought the 10 XL bundle for $24.60 and he refunded me $3.14 in cash. He ran out to give it to me while I was doing the van inspection because he forgot to give it to me at the counter. He said he messed up and didnt put it back on my card.I had to go back inside to ask the other one for my receipt and contract because J did not give me anything. A couple minutes later, my friend and I heard a loud bang outside and W ran outside to see the commotion. J and another male he knew got in a full on fist fight in front of us. Another woman told us to step away and let them handle it. This was completely unprofessional and I should have called the police, but I didnt. I had to wait another ten minutes for that commotion to die down before W was finally able to print my copy of the contract. J walked into the store with his lip bleeding and went to the bathroom. It took W a while to print the receipt. I waited another five minutes or so.WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. Rude, unprofessional and uneducated staff.

DONT USE THIS COMPANY.Reserved one 10 box truck ending up giving us a truck. When we made the reservation, the lady ask me do I want 10, 15 or the 20, I took the 10, but when my guy go pick up they give us a pick up truck. Then I call them to ask to exchange to box truck, they said they do have 15 available, but when we show up on the store, the manager told us there is nothing available at the moment. Bad Experience

We have had our stuff stored there for almost 6 months and TWICE their system has messed up payments. The first time they kept calling to say we were behind a payment and after i made another payment they tell me that I had actually paid that month. They then asked if I wanted to just put the extra payment towards the next month and I said fine. This second time we got charged double plus a late fee and they asked the same question! When we told them no the manager had an attitude basically saying it was our banks fault. FOUR times we had to the store and he wouldnt even acknowledge us, which isnt surprising from the reviews ive read about him on Yelp. The nice lady behind the counter was asking for his attention over and over as he kept helping all the other customers in line..really..he could of switched places with her..after all the GENERAL MANAGER should handle these issues. Supposedly he refunded our money today and charged us again for the correct amount. Honestly, we should have gotten that money back and not had to pay anything for this month with this huge inconvenience. I do not recommend this Uhaul to anyone on the island for storage.
