This is not your typical American cheesecake. Instead of being dense and cheesy, these cheesecakes are light and fluffy. They are even fluffier than angel cake but not as dry. After eating these cakes it almost leaves you guilt free because of how light and not sweet it is.However, what the cheesecake lacks in sweetness, the lemonade makes up for it. It is freshly made by hand so they can get a little carried away with the sugar. As soon as you take a drink, the sweetness slaps your face and lets you know its in charge, but in a good way. Together they pair well and make a delicious combination snack. Definitely a must try and the price can be under $10 if you dont splurge too much.
We enjoyed the cheesecake (original and coffee flavor). Nice and moist. This is the first time we tried japanese style cheesecake. It wasnt bad. The original had a nice flavor to it but we enjoyed the coffee flavor the most. It had a hint of coffee to it with a nice amount of fluffiness. Would go back again if in the area.
Not sure why this place is still closed..... everything around here is already open. Have driven here twice and it is still closed 🤷♂️🤷♂️
Honestly not bad overall. I dont need to come back again any time soon but I can tell people where to get a Japanese cheesecake for the first time. fair price and quick service.
Had an Uncle Tetsus cheesecake in Osaka so when I saw that theyre here I knew I had to get some cheesecake. It was as good as I remembered, fluffy and melt in your mouth goodness. Two of us vanquished a whole cake.
These cheesecakes are lighter and fluffier than a traditional New York cheesecake - I like both versions but gravitate toward these more often. They also have mini cheesecake tarts in three flavors: original, matcha and pumpkin (not sure if that’s just a seasonal flavor) - perfect for a small afternoon treat! I also had the raspberry lemonade which I found a little too sweet.
They have serve Japanese custard cheesecakes and they make it well. Its not a hole in the wall, but who would expect a place to just sell cheesecakes at a mall? Its a little out of your way if youre here just for cheesecake. Thats why I had teamwork. I ran in while my wife drove around the block a couple times. :-D Or, I guess you could just grab a hand-cake while shopping but thats boring.
The original cheesecake is still the best and is super light & fluffy! Try the honeydew by the slice as it’s good, but not as good as the original! Try to come by when they have just come out of the oven for a real treat!
Hmmm when I think of cheesecake, my taste buds start to salivate and I think of dense sweet cream. I am more of a New York Cheesecake fan. This cheesecake is more like a sponge cake. It was just not my slice of cake :(. I didnt care for the gooey cookies either. I felt like I was eating straight up sugar. I could feel the sugar granules setting up shack for future cavities ... yikes!!!!
Order three smoothies and two of them were good. The third one was papaya but tasted like orange. We returned it for a different one. Waited a long time and it is even worse. Wont come back!
The worst strawberry banana smoothie ever. No banana at all, the lady added some flavoring agent and that was it and some ice. Dumped the whole drink.
Poorly run place, these women who work there have no sense of customer service. Took a while for her to take our order, and once the Thai tea was ready, she refused to release the drink to me because she didnt believe that I had paid for it - my wife had to repeat that it was our drink 5 times before it clicked in. Oh and the cheesecake isnt worth the hype. Sigh
Amazing cheese cakes! We were looking for some dessert and tried the samples and ended up getting the pumpkin cheesecake and were completely satisfied.
Expensive at around $3.50 for a small slice, but the cheesecake is so unique and delicious! I am so glad I finally tried one of the famous fluffy Japanese cheesecakes, and I was not disappointed at all!
Ordered a mango smoothie. Guess what?? It was made in complete water!! Forget about milk, they didnt even use any half & half or any kind of whipped cream & I paid almost $6. When I asked for some napkins, they just handed me 1. Wouldnt recommend it to anyone. There are plenty of places that offer good smoothies at relatively better prices with good cust service.
Not many customers and the wait was long for this overrated and expensive cheesecake.
Their cheese cake tastes like card board, visit the store left to it, their cakes are nice and lovely.
Lava flow freeze was incredibly sweet, I couldnt finish it
Milk tea!!! and cheesecake, their cheesecake is a moist and melts in your mouth not the typical cheesecake ive know with creamcheese
Im sorry in advance to my current boyfriend. Hes a pretty amazing guy if you havent met him. However, he has been replaced! Who could replace him? Well, I want to date and marry this cheesecake!Uncle Tetsu just recently opened in the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center in Waikiki in their Paina Lanai Food Court. Youll find them, follow your nose. Theres that wonderful cheesecake smell that lingers in the air as theyre baking. They currently have original and coffee flavored cheesecake ($8.50). Its not a huge cheesecake but a nice size to share, depending how much dessert you eat. And right now, its only 1 per person....so after I took my first bite, I went back in line a few more times. Dont judge.I was only able to try the original flavor, but I will say this cheesecake is dangerous. Its so light and airy, you can practically eat it by yourself in one sitting. I like it since its not as heavy and rich like American cheesecake. Once you get it, you must try it when its fresh and warm. Its fluffy and kind of like soufflé. It tastes like custard. You dont get a strong cheese flavor which is what I like.Once you put it in the fridge, i swear it tastes different. You get a less spongey texture and more of the cheese flavor. Both cold and warm, its still amazing. You should definitely try it both ways. They also have some handcrafted drinks such as milk tea, that I didnt try. And if youre not a cheesecake fan, well they also have madeleines (coconut and honey), biscotti and ooey gooey cookies!Of course I didnt get to try the other desserts since the cheesecake had me at first bite. My priority was get that cheesecake. This cheesecake has me wanting to be like that girl in breadfaceblog on instagram (if you dont know, better ask somebody). Its that mind-blowing.
Melt in your mouth Japanese Cheesecake. Divine!
Always great cheesecake and drinks
Cant stop thinking about the cheese tarts!! Its the best thing Ive eaten in umm ever maybe.
Honeydew donut is great!
Theyre in the food court.
This is not your typical cheesecake. More like a light cake.
I ate for the first time in Hawaii but it was very very delicious.I dont like cheesecake so far, but its not a really thick one, but its easy to eat as many as you like! !
Its delicious and I want to support you, but isnt it expensive? I think there are so many cheaper and more delicious cakes in Japan, but is it just me?
A shop that simulated a Japanese cheesecake shop in Uncle Roes. Uncles face burned in the middle of the fluffy cheesecake hall size. There is also a chocolate taste.
The cheesecake tasted like egg bread or castella.
