Love it! I think, this Navy Exchange has beat them all. I have been to North Island San Diego California and to Little Creek Virginia and they are close to it but this Navy Exchange is beautiful. Although, I am quite surprise that this Navy Exchange is not on any military base. I didn’t have to show a military ID to no one until I purchased my items. As for the store itself — AMAZING! I love the waterfall inside the store. The little shops in the common area are pleasant to look at. The Exchange itself is huge. I believe there are two levels inside the building. There were long lines to cash out but the wife and I came on a holiday (father’s day). Although, the lady at the jewelry counter was kind and rang us out (very nice). The people who work there are pleasant; must be the great weather they have. I did notice, there were other areas of the store that was located down the road (furniture store and a garden / plant store). If you are in the military, I highly suggest you go there. If any, just take in the view — tell me what thinks.I forgot — try the little vendor outside the store. I don’t know the name but they served shaved ice on top of some ice cream — VERY GOOD!

Only thing I find is bad. When the deli guy does not want to get out the shredded chicken. When there is no shredded chicken in the bin. I asked the guy that slices your bulk meats. Can I get 1/4 lb of shredded chicken no shredded chicken in the bin. He told me, I cant do It. If you want, go shopping and I will get it done for you when you come back. I just needed the shredded chicken and check out.** When I was there last week a different guy got me shredded chicken. **

What can I say? Its the biggest NEX in the world. I wasnt expecting it to be this big, but here we are. Who the heck reads reviews about the NEX mall anyways, whatre you doing? Go outside or even better yet, come visit this mall! ;-)

This place is awesome! There is a huge selection of namebrand/top shelf merchandise. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five, because you have to have a military ID in order to purchase anything that isn’t consumable within 24 hours. In other words, you can only get perishable goods without being a member of the armed forces, or a veteran.

A really awesome Navy Exchange store. I have been to a bunch of them all over the US, but this one is on a whole different level. Lots of smaller stores inside for different kinds of goodies and gift items, as well as the usual Navy Exchange and commissary. Also has a decently sized food court on the second floor, with the option to sit outside in a nice and shaded area on the second floor. Great place to hang out with others or walk around by yourself to shop. Not far off base, has a shuttle during the weekdays that can take you there, and a bus stop close by when you take the route from Nimitz gate every day.

Large store with plenty of items in stock -- clothes/shoes, video games, computers, tvs, speakers, Hawaiian souvenirs/candies, exercise equipment, bedding/sheets/blankets, kitchen goods, and many other things. The only thing they do not really carry are books. The only books available are local recipe books, some childrens books, and few other miscellaneous books. There are two floors, but the escalator was out of order. The only option to move up/down the floors was to either wait in line and take the elevator OR take the stairs. Toys are sold in a large tent right outside the Navy Exchange. There are plenty of other businesses around the area so it seems quite busy (e.g. starbucks, barber shop, commissary, a few kiosks inside and outside of the exchange, and the food court).

I wish I could just review this little shop. The sales lady was snippy and rude. I stopped because of the bright Hawaiian print masks but there are many choices so I was taking my time choosing. She made snide remarks and acted as if I couldnt read the signs for sizes. I was looking in multiple size bins for my kids (of multiple ages). Long story short, after I purchased one for each of us and tried one on i realized that they are horribly made... they come to an incredibly unattractive beak-like point and are nearly impossible to breath through. I asked to return the remaining, unopened masks and she made a huge deal about how all masks are non refundable... even though they were still in the sealed packages and I had never left her sight. It was then that I noticed she was wearing a disposable mask. Note to self... never but a mask from someone who doesnt wear their own masks.

Selection was good, stocking was good, cleanliness was good, but checkout is soooo slow… I was in the 10-items-or-less line for at least 15 min. Not sure what was going on, but it was definitely irritating several people in line. Otherwise, nice place to shop and stop by a food truck on your way out.

Lots of shops. Access to multiple ATMs. Commissary next door. UPS is also here. I find that their fresh flowers are a little pricey compared to outside. There are lots of little kiosks or vendors at the entrance. Handicap parking can be challenging. Avoid going here on the 28th-5th and the 13th-17th of every month. There is a tire shop on the Radford side of the NEX.Military ID required to shop here.Always check their hours before going here. Holiday hours and sometimes they close for inventory.

As a Vietnam vet with a service-connected disability I shop at military exchanges and this was my first visit here. We had to catch a flight and had just a half-hour; we could easily have stayed for several hours. The Jewelry section was amazing with many display cases representing local artists in addition to the traditional selections. We WILL return as we had just enough time to glance at the huge variety of designer bags...

This is about the only place I like to shop. Reason? Helpful staff, clean store, plenty of parking, wide variety of items, competitive prices, and great warranty for electronics 😝. We get a lot of our footwear here (Reebok) although the selection changes a lot so if you see something you like then pick it up.The Foodcourt is great outside and you don’t need a military ID to buy food. There are also good shops outside of the NEX and you don’t need an ID to shops at those stores.Check it out, you’re gonna want to do all your shopping here! Picture attached is me testing out a couch at the NEX furniture store. Separate building and yes we bought our couch from there. How could we not, got like $300 off with all the discounts.
