One of my favorite location at waikiki. Staffs were really friendly and drinks came out fast and taste great. One of my favorite menu was iced hawaiian latte(coconut and macadamia flavor). Its not extremely sweet but perfectly balanced. I will always go back to this place. Due to covid, they changed hours(check google for hours). Thats the only sad part. Mahalo
Came for the convenience, stayed for the coffee & vibes. The baristas here are the friendliest and most patient people I’ve ever come across. They flawlessly handle a line that goes out the door from 6am until about 10 or 11 every day. Majorly impressed by their customer service here. The food is good, my family took a major liking to the quiche in particular. The coffee is even better, the baristas know what they’re doing and you truly can’t go wrong with anything you get here. The espresso is amazing if you’re into that.I don’t usually leave reviews, but I’ve spent a good amount of money and time here while using the space to study and anyone that continues to show this much hospitality in a pandemic deserves some recognition. Also, the music is mostly pretty solid.
I visited 2 days ago and absolutely loved this little coffee shop. It’s very serene, beautifully designed, and has delicious iced lattes. While I was enjoying the cafe the barista kindly reminded each table that the shop was closing in ~5 minutes.Because of that experience, this morning I called to place an order by phone to save time, but was politely redirected to place a mobile order via their website. It was an easy process and I got an email confirmation almost instantly.Fast forward to the pickup process and it wasn’t pleasant. There are no obvious indicators of where to pickup a mobile order. I asked the cashier & she mumbled that the barista at the front was making it. I waited for 10 more minutes and watched about 4 people order and get their drinks from that barista. After 20 minutes had gone by since my order was placed, I asked again. The drinks had been sitting on the counter, melting and ready to go. I could as well have just placed an order in person and skipped the online process and received fresher drinks.2 stars because my first experience was awesome, but ~$7 per latte is too much to pay for a mishap like this.
Coffee tastes like flavor water and ordering process is chaotic.Yesterday my husband and I wanted to give this spot a try and I had to wait over 30mins for my coffee because the person who took my order input my name as “Lauren” when name is Florida! Then the barista is calling out “Lauren” for over 5mins and I told him that’s probably mine as I’ve been waiting for over 30mins and people never hear my name correctly. He told me no, and proceeded to go about his business. After another 10mins the drinks are still sitting there and of course, there’s no Lauren.I asked how long will it take for two iced lattes as I’ve been waiting for 38mins. He asked if i had a receipt, i said no but i can show you my bank account. He then asked when I ordered and I told him at 7:46a. He then asks a lady to go back through their input and there she sees it per the time, I jotted incorrectly as “Lauren”. He apologizes and then give me the two iced lattes that’s been sitting there for 15mins. I said I ordered to Hawaiian Lattes, not regular. So he pours the Hawaiian syrup in the watered down lattes and hand me two coins for “free coffee” for my inconvenience. The drinks were horrible and I had to throw it out. Waste of my time and my money.I decided to come back today as this is our last day on the island and give it another try since we had two free drinks. This time I ordered the cold brew and my husband ordered a caramel latte and gave them the name “Flo” to prevent the fiasco from the day prior. The cold brew tasted like “flavored water” and the caramel latte tasted slightly better. Again, we had to discard our drinks and decided to walk to Kona’s and wait in their line as they have yet to disappoint.I guess the other reviews were right about the taste of the coffee, it’s as if they reuse their grounds or something. But we’re major coffee and espresso drinkers and to have our mornings off two days in a row, was not what we were hoping for on our last days on the island.I highly recommend they do quality checks with the preparation of their drinks because it’s subpar and to have to wait for that is a crime in itself.I hope no one experience what I experienced as they start off their day on this beautiful island. Mahalo.
Used to live this place despite the high prices for its great coffee and yummy pastries. Things have changed in two years that we could not come here. Staff is mean. Espresso drinks are a bad excuse (Even drip coffee is better)! Prices are even higher. I will never come back.
Always a good visit.Friendly, courteous people and a nice place to have an acai bowl .Their rewards program is good too.MAHALO NUI LOA
Had an amazing experience here. I ordered a Kona coffee and it was AMAZING! Service here was great too!
My husband liked their cold brew the best out of all the popular coffee spots that weve tried including Kona Coffee Purveyors and Island Vintage Coffee. I also liked their coffee but didnt really like the fact that they seem to keep their açaí bowls pre scooped in the freezer. Service was always friendly and they have awesome merchandise. We loved walking over for morning coffees everyday while our stay at the Moana Surfrider.
Coffee and breakfast items (Mango chicken curry croissant, classic acai bowl with almond butter and an 8 oz Lokahi drip coffee) are very good. Line was long but moves fast. Friendly, nice cashier and staff. Will be coming here again!
Nice coffee shop located at the Moana Surfrider Hotel. Good source of coffee, pastries and coffee inspired goods & gifts.
Best Rice Krispie treat ever! Would recommend to anyone staying in Honolulu
Açaí bowl is a bit pricy, compared to other places
Great açaí bowl and even better service from Audrey!
My husband LOVED the cold brew!! Also the cinnamon rolls were amazing 😍
This fancy cafe is near the Waikiki Beach, Hawaii, inside the Westin hotels and resorts. Here I stopped by to take a cup of locally grown Hawaiian Kona coffee. I specially ordered a mocha to be made out of Kona coffee, which was good but nothing extra ordinary. My other friends ordered other fancier options ( written there ), however disappointed to see what they served ( they served just a regular black coffee!)
Great place for Hawaiian coffee, I love Hawaiian Latte in the menu.Friendly baristas, and great location. Their desserts and pastries are delicious too.
Best Hawaiian latte 😋 and the bacon and egg melt is delicious!
Great location and product
One star for waiting in line for 20mins, by the time gets my turn to order, credit card system went bad, cash only and the managers didn’t dress the issue.
Very clean! Great service! And strong tasty coffee!
👌
Best coffee in Hawaii, the Hawaiian Latte is a flavor that is unique to the islands and it is delicious. They open early for that jet lag coffee fix. The service is friendly and fast with a price that is very reasonable. Dont settle for that bitter coffee anywhere else, find a Honolulu Coffee shop and enjoy the coffee instead.
We absolutely love it here. It’s our first stop on every visit to Waikiki. The Hawaiian Nut Latte (hot or cold) is our favourite and we enjoy sitting in the window watching the people passing. It’s one of our best memories of Hawaii. Mahalo
The coffee is good here, and I really wanted to give it four stars, but they wanted to charge extra for honey. And abruptly mentioned it when I added the honey myself to my drink which was definitely within reach from the other side of the counter. Also, they keep it a little bit too cold in here.
Fabulous Coffee. We could smell the coffee beans as we were walking in this area and that delicious fragrance lured us in. We visited here each day during our stay in Waikiki as we really enjoy and afternoon cuppa and a sweet treat. They make great a coffee and macrons are also very nice. The staff were friendly and provided good customer service.
Nice coffee shop! Fantastic service and a nice atmosphere. I personally like sweeter coffees, but the flavors were good regardless. Definitely worth a visit!
The staff are amazing and so are the breakfast burritos!
I had an açai bowl with cacao nibs and it was so tasty. It was bigger than expected and couldn’t eat all by myself. Better to share.
I travelled in Hawaii for 2 months. I go to drink Hawaii latte twice a week, but today the clerk seems to be different from ordinary people, very friendly and helpful, happy coffee day❣️If you don’t know what drinks to pick, Hawaii Latte is amazing 😋
Fantastic coffee and friendly service. The location is great too as it’s right by the beach. Thanks for fresh, delicious coffee for the past few days
Ok coffee, good service, a local place fone right. my only complaint, no equal sweetener. good sweets in their pastry case.
Coffee was good, a little pricy. When we waited in a long line to get one cup of coffee, I thought maybe I should buy a bag to bring home. After drinking my coffee that I did enjoy but didn’t think it was worth such a steep price. I’ve had better for less.
The latte is excellent here although a little pricy. It’s a relaxing place to sit and relax while enjoying a fresh brew.
I wanted the coffee to be better than it was. Actual coffee is two stars, gave one more for the appearance of the shop, food and coffee special creativity.
If you think Starbucks is strong. But a wide array of coffees. Very good
Great coffee
Best coffee by far to suit the tastes of Australian coffee lovers. I ordered a strong flat white and was pleased to get a coffee as good as the best in Australia. Can be a bit expensive and would like to see shops at more locations
The service is exceptional and the Hawaiian Latte with macadamia nut milk is perfection. Such a pretty little coffee shop inside the Moana Surfrider and also a great spot for people watching.
Like this place a lot, great atmosphere, good coffee. It was better when they used to sell waffles, but I guess the food is still decent. Great place to grab a quick breakfast.
Coffee was excellent and they have some yummy gluten free peanut butter bites too!
Really loved the Hawaiian Latte, which adds local flavors (nuts and macademia).
Best coffee in the world.
Their house drip coffee is South American (what??!!) and I went back to try the pour-over Kona coffee. I’m sad to say it tasted awful. It was thin and tasted acidic. I’ve had great Kona coffee, but not there.
Love this place so much! Try the Hawaiian latte and the Kona Estate coffee. You wont regret it!
The way to start your day!My latest mission has taken me far west to the island of Oahu. Better known as Honolulu to people off of the island. I arrived late in the evening and with time changes I was able to hang in there without sleeping the entire flight. This in part to a passenger sitting next to me that had been retired from the Airline industry. We had much to discuss during the 6 hour 15 minute flight. This morning I took a walk along Waikiki beach, Kalakaua Ave just outside my hotel, and almost a 4 mile loop according to my GPS and Nike + app on my iPhone. So as one could expect there are most of the Big Name shopping stores, plazas and malls. But I just wanted a cup of this Hawaiian Honolulu coffeee I had heard so much about prior to my arrival. I found one about 5 minute walk from the hotel at 2255 Kalakaua Ave u2028Honolulu, HI 96815.For $5.24 I enjoyed a small cup (8 0z. ) of the Blend of the Day and a rather large oatmeal raisin cookie. I sampled the coffee first and right away I noticed how Smooth the coffee flavor was in sipping & drinking. So I looked at purchasing a bag for my return trip home. Average price is from $9.95 to as much as $49.95 per half pound. I will ponder whether or not to bring a pound home after I search the area some more for better and possibly lower prices. Thanks for reading.
Great spot for delicious coffees and breakfasts. The cranberry scone warmed up with a Cappuccino is an excellent start to my day. Make sure to get a stamp card to get a free coffee every 10 purchases. The Acai bowls are a perfect addition, and the granola is fantastic.!!
My husband and I liked coming here for an after dinner coffee and dessert. Good coffee with a great selection of actual desserts. I always opted for the French Macaroons which were delicious!
Really nice little coffee shop that even offers more earth friendly metal reusable straws. They offer a wide variety of local roasted beans and prices range up to about $60 for a pound of Kona. Average prices for drinks. Pretty good barista who was very friendly and polite.Great place to stop and refresh while walking the shoppes near Waikiki beach.
Good coffee for the average person and good options for the coffee enthusiast. My husband had pour over and loved it. There are some tea options. They make a good matcha latte.
Always look forward to going to Honolulu Coffee Company whenever we are in Waikiki or Ala Moana Mall. The Moana Surfrider store has a very nice setting and makes you feel like youre on vacation though so I much prefer that one. Steven G will make you an excellent drink if hes working when you are there. Ask for Steven when you go to Honolulu Coffee Company in Waikiki!
Super friendly staff and quick service. The Hawaiian Latte was really good, as was the Kona Coffee Choco Chip muffin. Shorter line than Starbucks, better tasting coffee. If you need a pick me up, stop in and get your coffee on ice.
Id give 3.5 if I could. A solid macchiato, but the coffee tasted slightly burned.
Very knowledgeable staff. Make sure to ask questions, it always makes for a better experience.
Quaint little shop with great breakfast choices and over the top coffee.
The staff in the shop were really kind and helpful. I visited this shop because I had read a positive comment on a travel book. When I actually went there, the atmosphere of the shop is so cosy and beautiful, and staff smiled and served on top of the coffee and acai bowl. I really appreciate their help.
The packaged coffee is very pricey. But enjoyed the cold brew.
Cappuccino and espresso were excellent. Shortbread cookies were delicious.Im not a fan of brewed coffee, but I tasted and purchased some 100% kona beans to bring home to friends.
Really first-rate coffee. I am kindof a coffee snob, and agree that the coffee here is excellent, some of the best Ive had- and I have lived in Seattle and Sydney, so Ive got high expectations. Like one of the other reviewers mentioned, there are not too many places that make coffee better than I can at home, but this is one of them. Deserts are also good-try the lemon mousse.
The Hawaiian Latte is amazing. I dont know what makes it Hawaiian but its good.Long line ups but service is fast.Just like everything in Hawaii be prepared to pay. Large Hawaiian Latte $6.50 USD = $8.50 CAD.
Friendly staff, central location, great coffee.
I always order the Nutty Hawaiian Latte! A delightful treat :-) & they also do art in the foam of ur latte! Usually the service there is cheery unless they are very busy. A very nice break from ☆bucks!
Good coffee. Non-existent customer service.
A convenient locations to get a great cup of coffee just a couple of steps from the sand on the beach.
Food was tasty for what it was (pre-prepared). Coffee was great. Baristas are very friendly. Prices are high for everything other than coffee but cheaper than the hotel attached to their building.
Good coffee but why such high prices?
Great coffee and great oat cakes
