The BEST shop on the island of Oahu. I came here for almost every tattoo I’ve gotten for the last 3 years. I’ve been tatted by just about all of the resident artists. James did most of my work and even helped turn my sleeve into something better then I could’ve imagined. They’re clean, respectful, and all around a rad shop. Just remember, you get what you pay for with a tattoo, stop hassling these guys! Their work is worth it! (James did all of the color work)

Where do I start? Travis. Unreal. Guy is fantastic and a true tattoo artist. So happy with my experience. He was super welcoming, friendly, professional, creative and provided an amazing overall experience. My wife and I went in and walked out more than satisfied. If you’re visiting or just a resident of the area I HIGHLY recommend going to this shop.

I received my first tattoo from Victorian and could not be happier. As it was my first, I was quite nervous going in but Travis made me feel comfortable and assured. Travis is a very talented artist and the price he quoted me was lower than many of the other tattoo shops I visited around Waikiki. He designed the shark from the JAWS poster on my arm, and the detail/shading/color was phenomenal. The end result looked incredible. He was also very patient in explaining the process. I would highly recommend Victorian Tattoo for anyone, but especially people getting their first tattoo, as I had a great experience there. Thank you, Travis!

Thanks to Rob for a great experience - the guys here at Victorian Tattoo are really welcoming and are true artists. From initial consultation to See you later, dude their decades worth of experience gave us what anybody wants when they get work done - complete peace of mind. If you get a chance to drop in and check out their work, do it. Its only a 10-15 min walk from the main Waikiki beach and across the road from the Hilton Village. Their rates were really reasonable too. Looking forward to the next time Im in Waikiki and down at Victorian Tattoo.

Nice vibe, great guys. I had only a single letter. Its PERFECT and exactly what I wanted. My best friend and I got matching letters and, she, a turtle, also. Mike made sure my bestie had just the right turtle, just the right, angle and placement...and just the right size. So, a great adventure with excellent results. Travis did my letter...check out under his hat!

Both Travis and Mike were awesome! We came in with our ideas and they added their expert opinions to help make our tattoos perfect. The customer service and attention is world class at this place. Artists really care for their customers and their interests. They sit down with you, discuss what you want and what they can do for you.Every customer that walks in is treated kindly and professionally. I sat there for +6hrs and it always happened during that time.My tattoo artist was James and let me tell you this guy is not only an awesome artist, but also a great guy. Really passionate for his art. He drew my tattoo on the spot after discussing with me what I wanted. No rush. He got the job done (my full arm) with every detail, always showing lots of love for his work piece.If you happen to be in Honolulu and want to get inked, look no further. Victorian is 100% recommended.

Came here with my girlfriend while on vacation. I got an anchor done by Akio and my gf got a pineapple by Travis. Both did an amazing job. Would highly recommend.

James did my first piece ever. I love how it turned out! Exactly what I wanted. He was totally chill and gave some great ideas without over stepping. Bottom line is he does awesome work and is really cool guy. The shop itself is super nice. Very clean and the staff is very professional. Really awesome place, very clean and sanitized. I’ve been tattooed there by James twice and both times have been great. He really cares about giving you the best tattoo possible. I’m going back soon to get more. Overall it’s a great place and everyone there does good work.

Just got inked here at Victorian Tattoo, and it was a painless experience, in every sense of the word! Jay was my artist and that guy was the easiest to work with from the minute I walked in to the time I left. Jay helped me come up with an original design and the perfect placement for the piece. With his light hand,quick draw and entertaining conversation time went by in no time! It was like being there with one of the guys I would definitely go back for more work!

Great artists, good service and great work

So we arent from the Island and it was my first time here. We came in here our 2nd night here, just to get ideas and to see if we really wanted to get another tattoo. James was the first person to greet us, made us feel welcome and really helped us out. My lady and I got 2 of his drawings. I got a tribal shark, my lady got a conch shell with flowers. We ended up making an appointment for the last night we were here. Came in, they got us set up and out really quick. The tattoos came out perfect and we couldnt be happier. Everyone on the night shift was super friendly, helpful and a huge thanks to James and Dave (guest artist) for doing our tattoos...we will come back again the next time we are here

I Had a Polynesian Manta Rae done by Jay and my wife had a Hibiscus redone with Mark. Both were freehand drawn and both are incredible. It was easy to get into on short notice. I have 8 Tattoos and this was one of the best experiences I have had when getting one done. Line work was great, artists had gentle hands and didnt proceed until we were completely happy with the designs being drawn on us first. All of the staff were awesome to deal with. I would HIGHLY recommend this place if you want a great keepsake from your trip. This was our first trip to Honolulu and we will be back again.Thank you Guys!!!Stan & Jerri

This place is great! Jay and Mike are super down to earth, easy to work with, and extremely talented. After getting a couple of awesome tattoos from Jay, I went back the next week for another. Next time Im on Oahu, Im going straight back to sit with him again.

Everyone inside was friendly, personable, and professional. My tattoo was custom designed within 30 minutes and executed beautifully. It healed nicely and the colors are just phenomenal.A friend that was having his tattoo done at the same time was, admittedly, being quite the baby about the pain. They managed to remain calm and understanding through the whole thing, giving him breaks and cold water to drink. Not once did they come off as condescending.This is a talented crew, and professional to boot. Definetly stop in!

Was visiting from California, walked into a few places for a last minute tattoo. Didn’t like the vibe anywhere until I walked into this place! I had the pleasure to meet James, he’s an amazing artist, highly recommend him!

We came here but the man inside didnt seem like he wanted to be helpful and didnt help at all, kind of rudely ignored us then treated us with an attitude when we asked him some simple questions. Kind of glad we left instead of waiting around for a tattoo from the guy, he was the only one in apparently.

Had an appointment for 4 family members to get tattoos but ended up being 5. The guys were very friendly and accommodating. Their artwork is fantastic. They made us all feel welcome and comfortable. We are all very pleased and happy with our tattoos. Travis did 4 out of 5 of our tattoos and was wonderful. Komo did our 5th one and was great as well. Overall fantastic experience!!

I was vacationing here from Georgia with my sisters and we wanted to do something to remember our wonderful vacation in Waikiki. So we decided on getting tattoos. I was nervous because this was my first tattoo and I wanted to make sure I had a good experience. I went on the internet and searched for tattoo shops near my hotel. I am so glad that I did because I almost picked a shop with horrible customer service, but instead I listened to the good reviews for Victorian Tattoo. Me and my sisters received an awesome original tattoo drawn by Anthony. He was great!!! He is a very talented and knowledgeable artist. He put me at ease and getting my tattoo was the least painful thing I have ever done. I would highly recommend Anthony and Victorian Tattoo!! If we ever return to Oahu I will definitely be calling Anthony again for more ink!!

Walked in, asked about a small tattoo- was quoted $400/$500 and was told that it’s a standard price for Waikiki, rent is expensive, etc, etc, etc.. Shopped around nearby and was quoted $200 for the same tattoo, and was able to negotiate to $150. Ridiculous.

I was there last year in August 2017 and received a beautiful turtle tattoo from BigHead! I get compliments all the time. I will be returning to visit my daughter and son in law again at the end of this August 2018 and plan on stopping by. I hope BigHead will be around. James also did some beautiful turtle tattoos on both my daughters! Thank you so much!!!!

Went in after taking a trip to Hawaii and saving up for a big piece I was super excited about. I’ve been going there for ages every time I go to Hawaii and working with a couple of cool guys but mostly James since his style is perfect for what I’ve been looking for. But this time I went in and The guy there was actually shockingly rude and wouldn’t tell me when James was coming in, and then said he’d be “willing” to tattoo me himself! When I clearly asked for James. I ended up finding James on instagram @obiwanink. So I can keep up with him at least. But I just wasn’t happy with whatever changes have been made. The atmosphere was weird and off. Whatever it is, I’m gonna be taking my business elsewhere. Maybe I’ll swing by again next time I’m in Hawaii and see if they got their customer service together.

We were looking for a store that sold shells and I recognized the name of this shop so I went down the stairs from the sidewalk and inquired about a foot tattoo. There was only me as a patron so they agreed to do it. Fair price and I was asked if I liked the design, not something I hear in Atlanta. Thanks for the tattoo and suffering through my endless prattle.

Anthony was professional, friendly, ready to meet our design needs, made us comfortable and followed utmost hygiene practice. Anthony has been in the business since 1993 and has an impressive collection of work. Rest assured you are in good hands at Victorian Tattoo.

Been here Twice. 1st time James threw his spin on my Sketch I brought in & loved it. Came back 2nd time & this man made this amazing piece that I just have refs for. Def my go to place.

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. My fiance and I were looking for a place to get our tattoos done before left the island back to California and our Airbnb was super close to this place, so we decided to check them out and Im so glad we did. We walked in and the night crew was so welcoming and super helpful. Tomo and James were the artists we meet with and their vibe was chill and the artwork at this shop is amazing! My fiance and I both work in customer service so we both have high expectations. James and the rest of the night crew were so awesome that we decided to put our down payment the very next day. My tattoo couldnt have been more perfect and James is a total perfectionist, so you know that youre getting the best tattoo possible. I highly recommend this shop and now my fiance and I have our new go-to tattoo place in Oahu. We cant wait to come back and get another amazing piece! Thanks James for really taking the time to make sure my tattoo was nothing less than perfect!

We have been to Hawaii twice now and both times I have had tattoos from this establishment and I wouldnt go anywhere else. Next visit to Hawaii I will have another piece of artwork done. The place is extremely clean and sanitized and the staff are excellent.

Some of the artists are ok, if youre looking for a basic Hawaiian tattoo theyre good at it. I wouldnt do anything serious here tho. Ive been 3 times, my husband twice, and a friend of ours once and we all had like 5/10 experiences every time. I think my artist just moved shop but I got an infection from a tat he gave me, another scarred really badly. My husbands artist was really rude and passive aggressive.

Popped in for a walk in and billy from vegas helped me out with some great quality work and a good atmosphere.

Had tattoo from Victorian tattoo 3 years ago we coming for holiday be back end of the week.

Took my fiance by to get details on a back tattoo. Spoke with James at the counter and I talked about setting up an appointment. He said she could get the tattoo done as early as today if we wanted. We said yes and he said to give him an hour and a half to finish up a customer and pop back in. We came back in and he had taken another customer and said sorry, he had appointments. If we put $100 down he said we could come back at 8pm, check out the sketch he would do up, and knock it out. We agreed even after the first delay because we were walk-ins and its Saturday after all. We paid, sent him the reference photo in a text at 4pm and came back at 8. He is with 2 customers ahead of us this time and asks us to wait again. We wait thinking it will be fast. About an hour and a half later he finishes up with them, quickly eats dinner next, then starts drawing our tattoo. He hadnt even started the sketch. Its 930 pm at this point and he said to give him another 40 or so minutes to do her sketch for the 4+ hour long tattoo. Nope. We took the $100 back and left. Wasted gas and trip from Ewa. Obviously he was busy working but an appointment is an appointment. You dont tell customers a time to come by and blow them off. Let alone twice. Learn to unclutter your schedule. 3 hours wasted that dayResponse to owner: As I said in my review the first thing we did was discuss setting up an appointment. James was the one who indicated getting it done the same day, we didnt ask him for that. He assured us he had the openings so we agreed, we didnt turn down anything. Regardless, if a staff member sets aside your money, specifies a time to show up and isnt ready thats not on the customer. That happened twice. If he had appointments scheduled at 8 why would he tell us to come back then? The artwork there looks great, and under better circumstances perhaps it would have been a good visit but thats not what happened. Sorry but its just an honest review from our experience. I was on vacation in Honolulu just last week and thought it is time to get some new ink. I already had a Tiki tattoo on my back that was done 7 years ago during my first visit to Hawaii. I came up with the idea to put something around it, polynesian-style. I reviewed a couple of tattoo shops online while I was there and I really liked what I saw on Victorian Tattoos website. So I went there Tuesday morning and met Anthony the owner. I showed him what I already had on my back and told him roughly what I was thinking to add to it. Anthony gave me some great advice and said he already has an idea what to do with the available space and said hes going to draw it right on there, he said he could also color-up my old tattoo for me. So I made an appointment and put a deposit down for last Friday, the day before I left Hawaii. Anthony is a great artist and I think his work speaks for itself. He did a great custom piece on my back what basically became one with the Tiki I already had. As promised he put some real nice color in there too. This was a great experience and I will definitely go back there for more ink when I come back to Hawaii (hopefully soon!!). Everyone in the shop was really friendly and down-to-earth and I was also impressed with the professionalism and the cleanliness of the shop. Thank you very much Victorian Tattoo - you guys are cool!

Walked in with a couple of friends to check out the artwork. Upon walking out, JAMES decided to give us the middle finger. We did nothing to deserve this type of disrespect.

I was Im town and decided to get a tattoo I went into victorian tattoo to get a qoute on what I was wanting done I walked in and the guy was sitting behind the counter on his phone I said hi how are you he didnt look up nor reply my partner and I stood there for a minute or two and then I asked if he could help me to which is reply was Im changing my password on my phone atm completely rude obviously he didnt want to make money that day so with that I asked how much my tattoo would cost to which he said oh probably $1000 not sure if he was being sarcastic or not but with the rude service I took my money over to scared art tattoo and could not be happier I went in there three times before I got it done and every time each guy that served me was really nice and friendly not rude like at this place. And my tattoo was only $125!!
