Take this from someone who worked here. They sell out of date product, they sell meat in chill past its recommended freeze by dates, they sell meat and chill products that were out of temperature above 40F (Bacteria grows fast between 40F - 70F) during transport from mainland, and weigh products without removing the weight of packaging.The pricing within the store is ridiculous overpriced. Seriously, just go to Costco. They offer Business Delivery. Save yourself some money.

Unless you buy large quantities, you might be better off going to your local grocery store and buy the same stuff at a little higher price to equate the gas costs you incurred going here.Nevertheless, kinda fun shopping here...

If youre going to buy food or food related wholesale items, you might as well shop local. They have everything you could need and more for your kitchen or business. They have a good variety of locally grown produce and other select items you wont find elsewhere. I am like a kid in a candy store everytime we go there.

Great alternative to the other warehouses and definitely a time saver. If youre shopping here bring a jacket because the produce/dairy/frozen section is a giant walk-in cooler and is quite cold.

My first time here and im in love... No really i absolutely love this place!

Provides a different selection of food items not found at retail grocery or big box stores. Most items are sold in bulk, so make sure you have enough freezer space available.

This place is fantastic for buying your food in bulk. Possibly better than Costco and Sams. Where else can I buy a 80LB box of chicken thighs for under $1 a pound. They have your standard sizes you see in the grocery store but its far more cost effective buying the giant sizes. Sizes far bigger than Ive seen in other bulk stores. Great for stocking up your kitchen for a month or two. They even have a lot of kitchen tools and fine knives you typically only see online living in Hawaii. Word of caution though, bring a jacket. Their walk in cooler with the meats and produce is freezing. I love the cold and even I couldnt handle. They have jackets to borrow but using the same jacket as complete strangers? Ew, no thanks. But I cant recommend this place enough.

Love this place, especially now. You need to know your competitive prices, Costco, grocery store, etc, but they have things you cant find elsewhere and many things at super goods prices.

A great place for food and cooking equipment even if you are not a restaurant chief. Most items sold in larger quantities which is perfect when throwing parties. Membership is free. Parking can get tight during busy hours.

Cool place - lots of gadgets for the cook in all of us. Bulk supplies for parties at home, or anywhere. The crew is professional and spot on with everything. Very clean, well organized and plenty of room to just shop and look. Bring a coat - the refrigerated section is cold, and BIG!

This is a pretty big warehouse to find some supplies in bulk. You can spend a good amount of time walking around taking a look at the merchandise.Sometimes you can find better deals on weekly sales ads but overall this place is pretty good to get your much needed supplies or ingredients

I love this place! Its like a hidden costco, but smaller. Its a restaurant supply store. The deals on the bulk food items are really good and not everything is in extreme bulk. Definitely come here to shop for parties.

One of my favorite places on the planet. A restaurant operators dream. Full assortment of products, good prices, easy to get in and out, buy a case or buy a unit, full of great menu ideas and options, nice folks, locally owned and supports local manufacturers/producers and farmers. Wow!

I like that you can get things here that you would otherwise have to shop multiple places for. When I went, it wasnt crowded, the place was clean and the workers were pleasant.I also grabbed a few things here that I dont see in other stores. That was surprising and a nice change.

Not crowded! Friendly service. Large selection of meats and seafood .Refrigerated foods are in a large refrigerator. Its cold so bring a warm jacket or use one that they supply.Large selection of restaurant supplies.Seasoning galore . The only thing they dont have is a large fresh bakery and fresh seafood .

I love chefs they have a lot of things in bulk some things are cheap some things are your average cost but all in all the customer service fat chef zone is top-notch, thank you Chef zone for open their doors to the public.

After picking up. My free membership card, I walked all the aisles in the Zone and not once, did I not find what I was looking for. Im going back for Valharona chocolate on Monday. The have bulk sizes that other places lack.John

Think of it as a Costco for restaurants. All of the food you didnt know that you had access to as well as togo and kitchen supplies. Its worth a look and open 7 data a week.

They do have some foods you cannot buy anywhere else but their prices are similar to or more than Costco. Resturant supplies are great but you cannot be sure when they will have what you want. But for some really nice things like real Spanish sherry vinegar or green rice or such they have itSadly they do not carry many of the products they bring in for professional resturant accountants. Many of the foods they sell are cheap artificially flavored mixes and such for cheap restaurants or food service organizations

Costco prices without the Costco crowds. There is a free membership and a wholesaler membership. Keep in mind this is primarily for restaurant owners and such, so its all industrial sized portions but theres plenty of regular sized portions as well. If you like to cook this place is heaven.

After being their loyal customer for 3 years, now that I needed to return some items, their answers was a big NO without any hesitation because of their newly updated return policy. Wont recommended at all.

They have so many awesome products. Everything you could need to throw an excellent party, lots of pupu choices (your favorites from the pub or lounge), entree basics to exotic storage containers, etc. Dress warmly if you need produce or frozen items as their cold section is really really cold. Jackets are available to borrow. I tried it wearing a dress and couldnt make it to the back aisles lol. Long sleeve and heavy Jeans recommended... also items are only sold by bulk so be prepared for extra storage unless its a good sized party you are having. Also, gotta bring your own bags.

I like it for fresh veggies like cauliflower and broccoli at great prices. Also peruse the sale part in the back right of the store.

Chef Zone is similar to a Cost U Less which is what Hilo, Hawaii has since the only Costco on Hawaii Island is located on the westside of the island. Anyways, downside to Chef Zone is they dont have employees on the floor when you have questions. But thats to be expected in a warehouse store. I love the prices. I wish Hilo had more vendors that were similar if not the same. But oh well, I make it a point to stop here whenever Im on Oahu.

For us, this place is great. We often cook for 300+ people so to be able to buy things in bulk is great (restaurant supply quantities) they have lots of items to choose from, a demo kitchen, samples of items.
