A great local place with fresh and really affordable Poke, Sushi and Asian snacks, groceries as well as a good selection of souvenirs. We stopped by after arriving at the airport on our way to the hotel and liked picking our our own bento boxes and eating outside at their picnic tables. They also have a great selection of beer and alcohol, vacation supplies. Watch out for some aggressive birds trying to steal a bite if you eat outside lol. It is not as clean and polished as a tourist spot but a really fun and authentic Hawaiian experience.

We were pleasantly surprised that one of these managed to end up in Hawaii. Take your time going though the endless merchandise and food options - you’ll probably need more than one trip if you’ve never been here before! Outside the store is a ton of food stalls too - so a good place to grab lunch as well.

Great store other than its un-American policies. Theyre normalizing unlawful searches by forcing you to allow them to look into your belongings before you can shop and after youre finished shopping.Push back. What if you had to be searched at every business you used?Stop being lazy DQ. Use the security cameras. Stop oppressing the innocent.

All of the staff are super friendly and if youre from Japan and miss Japanese style stores then youll probably be ecstatic to be here. That being said, as an American I find the layout to be chaotic. I understand that that is also what going to Japan is like at times. Buildings, restaurants and stores crammed everywhere with seemingly no intention. However, when you go to the store and are looking for very specific things, it can be a bit frustrating at times. Many things are also not clearly labeled. We ended up buying a king sized pillow case, which I had no idea existed and didnt think to check closely because they dont sell king sized pillows there. Its always a strange experience.

I highly recommend their prepared food section, which is expansive featuring mostly Japanese and Korean food. I def heard some locals buying these food. Salmon rolls are around $10, and many smaller boxes are like $5. My favorite is their Mochi (imported from Japan per label) - 6 pieces for $6.99. Bus will also take you there so you don’t have to have a car. They have plenty of parking too as it is part of a bigger shopping plaza. In a crazy tourists town where you are pretty much guaranteed to spend more than necessary on what’s often average food (That is, if you wait in line long enough to be able to get in some of the popular restaurants), Don Quixote is absolutely a bargain quality food with cheaper price. I really don’t understand why people come to Hawaii to eat burgers and pancakes (or garlic shrimps...) You are here for more “unique” experiences, such as more authentic Japanese food/culture that this store offers (compared to what you can get in your home states). AND you don’t have to wait long outside in the sun unlike many many restaurants.

Puts the supermarket in Japanese Supermarket. As a visitor, there are Japanese grocery stores and marketplaces that have a little something to offer everybody, but Don Quijote, being a Japanese export, you get exactly what youre expecting.Whats also awesome? REALLY OPEN 24 HOURS. Even now! Amazing thing, probably the only place open besides the gas stations and the bars nearby. Some downsides are the mandatory bagcheck (you cannot bring your backpack inside), you must check it with the valet, use a cart or basket, and load it at the valet once you get your bag back, and seemingly random layout of the store. However locating grocery makes sense once you get use to it, at the outer perimeter of the store. Touristy/souvenir items are to the right of the entrance. They take all major credit cards.
