Salento scooters is a sketchy scooter shop with individuals like Mr.Salento trying to make quick sales and profits from unsuspecting customers, Mr. Salento’s dialogue is very speedy and does not provide clear responses when answering your questions in any regard. Consider going here with caution. If you want to repair your scooter, avoid coming or leaving your scooter here because you will not be told what is wrong with it but rather, they will pressure you into selling it so that they can fix it and profit from it. They will also sell your scooter with or without a title.

I purchased my first scooter yesterday and the process could have not been easier. Not only did i get a great deal but they threw in many extras to sweeten the deal. Very knowledgeable and answered all my questions... highly recommended...

The time to retire basically this place is okay but a lot of their merchandise that is sitting outside for you to view is already taken by other customers which Im not sure why they put it out for displaying. But the problem that I had as well was there theyre trying to charge you over $3,000 for a used bike or scooter they say you dont need a license for anything but the first thing they ask you for is for license to drive off with the scooter on.

If you’re thinking to shop at Salento, YOU MUST READ THIS!!!! I’m going to try and say this as nicely as possible......DO NOT GO TO THIS MECHANIC FOR YOUR VESPA OR ANY OTHER SCOOTER!!!!!!!! I bought a Vespa lx150 from guiseppe 2 years ago. I have had nothing but problems with it since then. However, the biggest issue I’ve had was an ongoing problem with my battery not charging. About every 2 months, i would turn on my Vespa and it would be completely dead. My Vespa is my daily driver. I drive it everywhere. I drive it to school, work, EVERYWHERE! All of the times I called guiseppe he just charged the battery and gave it back to me, until it died again. And again. And again until I realized it was more than just the battery. This mechanic said he didn’t know what was wrong with it. I had just payed for a brand new batter. He said he checked the voltage regulator and everything in between and couldn’t figure out what was wrong. Finally, I had enough of having a dead battery every other day so I took it to a different mechanic. This knowledgeable mechanic informed me that ALL THE PARTS ON MY. VESPA WERE JUNK PARTS!!!! My 150lx requires a 12v battery.....HE HAD A 7 VOLT BATTERY AND REALLY TOLD ME HE DIDNT KNOW WHAT WAS WRONG WITH IT. THIS MECHANIC FIXES HALF THE PROBLEM AND CAUSES TOU TO COME BACK OVER AND OVER AGAIN FOR YOUR MONEY! He doesn’t calculate prices plus labor he comes up with a number for services off the top of his head and it’s never consistent. My oil has been leaking everywhere and of course, he said there’s nothing wrong. Well, my new mechanic stated that there isn’t even an oil sponge on my scooter WHICH IT NEEDS! I recommend you purchase the beautiful vespas he has to sell AND TAKE IT TO A DIFFERENT MECHANIC!! I repeat! He does have beautiful Vespa but he does not in the slightest take care of them. He uses his niceness and lets you pay things at your own pace to give you the idea he’s a great mechanic! Little do you know, you have a top of the line Vespa and it’s being fixed with bottom of the line parts. Please don’t be fooled by his negotiating. This man has caused me to waste so much money time after time to end up with a half a** scooter in the end. He has mixed reviews for a REASON!!! Do NOT GO TO THIS MECHANIC I REPEAT YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!

I usually dont have time for rates and comments but this shop is worst place to fix the scooter.3 times they fixed my scooter and on 2nd day it didnt start every time. And every time I paid 80$ for nothing.dont go to this place. Its really expensive and they dont care about costumers even if you are using for long time.

I should have done my homework on buying a scooter....unfortunately I didnt and as a result my son is out $600 dollars. When we went to the establishment, we were greeted politely by the owner, my son didnt have a lot of money, but was willing to buy a used scooter. The scooter worked for 3 days and suddenly stopped. My son went to talk to the owner and ask either fix, trade, or return money. Unfortunately, that didnt happen either. My son had gone by himself to the scooter shop site. the owner became irate....he was rude and belligerent. My son called me very upset....I was not sure what I was walking into, so 5 minutes to my arrival at the store I called the police. I really needed peace of mind of what type of angry man I was about to encounter. While I was there he again got into my sons personal space and at same moment that I was about to intervene on my sons behalf a police officer was walking towards us. Eventually they (the officers) told us that wed have to sue the guy....but it would just be a waste of time and money. Let him keep the money....he needs it more than we do apparently....but I suggest no one go to this establishment and buy anything from this man....if you need a scooter, my suggestion is do your homework and find a reputable establishment with very professional owner and/or staff to sell you a scooter. This is a life lesson learned for my son not to deal with a wolf in sheeps clothing.

I had many bad experiences at different shops and extremely crooked employees. I found this place and most of the reviews were good. They came across honest, I was a little scared . Then they call me and told me what the problem was. I had more than one problem with my Chinese scooter. The total was 150.00. When i came over to pick it up he said to me check it, i want to make sure your 100 percent satisfied. Well let me tell you, they did an amazing job, its like a new scooter, problem was fixed and runs amazing! Thanks Giuseppe. and your mechanic.

Have no clue what these people did to my scooter if anything at all. Went 35 mph and 600 dollars later it goes 40 mph... I just hope they didnt ruin anything interanlly. Screws holding my seat to the frame were loose. Screws holding cover for cooling fan were loose. Who knows what else is wrong.. Taking it to a real professional

I cannot stand when the reviews for a place dont match the businesss ethics and practices. Salento Scooters has helped me out now 4 times in a row, all with courtesy and professionalism at a very fair price. Today I brought my scooter in just to match up a screw and see if his mechanic had one on hand. He told me there was something wrong sounding with my engine and brought it in. He replaced a gasket that blew and was causing a loud sound and backfires upon deceleration, although i had no idea there was a problem because the scooter ran great! Guiseppe only charged me 10 dollars even though it took his mechanic a good half hour. He guarantees his work, and probably knows more about scooters/motorcycles than you do. If you think you know better, dont go to a mechanic! Thats my opinion. Salento Scooters RULES!

Double the price of every local scooter store. Triple the price of online. There are many stores around, no need to waste money here. This place is the West Marine of scooter stores.

So far my experience with Hot Scooter Rental has been awesome, Ive had quality work done, quick and with reasonable prices, I needed my scooter towed and the price was cheap and my bike was picked up within 15 minutes, not only that my bike was being worked on within the hour, they dont pressure to upsell you on things you dont need, and Ive found them to be very reliable.- Victor Rivera

Do NOT buy a scooter from him. A faulty scooter wheel cutting into my brake lines and leaking all of my brake fluid caused me to get into a terrible accident, needed 3 stitches in my lip and got scraped up and left with hundreds of dollars in damages needing to be repaired. He is a con artist that believes he is not responsible for HIS brand new scooter causing bodily harm, a car accident and hundreds of dollars in damages. Do NOT, I repeat, do NOT, if you value your health, buy a scooter from him. He is a scumbag and will also overcharge you on faulty products that will only lead to injury, or worse, death.

The owner is a scam artist. I took 2 scooters in for repairs and when I took it back, It only worked for a day then died again. Aside from that, he had told me one price when I first went in, wrote it down then when I went in to pick the scooters up, I brought the price in with me that he wrote down and he had said that is not the price anymore, it had went up. He didnt increase it $20 or $30 or so, he increased the price on both scooters almost $100 each. He said prices change all the time and it was only 2 days since I got the price. I found out by a friend of mine who has knowledge of scooters that he had taken a few of my new parts out of my scooters and replaced it with used/old parts and he kept the parts and when the scooter died out a day later, I called him and he said the scooter was working when I left and he can fix it again but charge me again. I will not go to him ever again or refer anyone to him. If I can give it no stars I would

I dont know about their sales, but if you need a front or rear tire replaced or have your brakes changed, they have probably the best prices when you bring in your own parts. I never had a problem with the mechanic, he does a very quick job of changing tires.They only thing dissapointing is the price to change 1 quart of oil, I think is idiculous.

Do not buy from this place...paid for my scooter was told my title would come in the mail now hes claimimg he needs more money to give me my title. I was given a temp tag and paid him to handle my tag now he claims he needs more money. When I told him I would just go to the tag agency to get my own tag because its been over 2 months and he still hasnt given me a title or tag he said IT DOESNT WORK THAT WAY and rushed me off the phone. Scooter is a piece of crap and I regret using this company. I should of done my research because now Im finding out EVERYONE gets scammed by him. I was also told I had a 30 warranty and in the 1st week it broke down and I had to pay to fix it $125. Save your money and go elsewhere
