Jonathan, owner of J.C. Marine Service and Fabrication, designed, engineering, fabricated and installed a custom stainless steel solar panel framework which also served as a rack for two kayaks on a sailing catamaran owned by a friend of mine. The design was perfect and fabrication (welding) was exceptional, even better than the original welding on the boat.I then asked Jonathan to construct a davit for our WaveRunner over the swim platform on our Leopard 51 PC. Again, Jonathan and his team came up with a design and construction that surpassed anything we have seen on the market. He found and installed the electric winch and a different (better) switch than the one that came with the winch. He also installed a limit switch and a fail-safe locking mechanism to lock the davit in place. His engineering and construction was impeccable.Since then he has rebuilt our power-steering system, fixed our autopilot, fixed our hydraulic swim platform and most recently creatively re-engineered our gangway stairs to better work on our boat. All of this was done at a fair price and with a graciousness that is rare in the marine services industry. He has earned my trust and the trust of others to whom I have referred him.

Where to begin? By the time JC Marine was recommended to me, I wasnt all that excited. I had a seized roller furler that was 43 years old, and the few people I actually managed to get a hold of over the course of the previous 2 weeks wouldnt work on such a legacy piece of kit. I was pleasantly surprised when the website was functional and professional. I shot off an email on a Sunday at 4:30 PM. I didnt think anything of it. I was surprised when I got a response back 20 minutes later. The next morning, a call. Jonathan knew exactly what I wanted (which is nice, because I screw up the verbiage sometimes). Very quickly, they scoped the headstay, went up, identified the problem, and gave me a quote. They pulled off one of the most beautiful repairs of a piece of equipment that old that Ive ever even heard of. They went above and beyond when it required cutting and rewelding to fix the old roller furler.He took a few photos while up the mast, and identified cracked swages in my rigging. I checked a few other places, and realized that not only was his quote comparable, I knew these folks did good work. So what started with a headstay repair for the best price I had found, wound up with me moving forward with a full re-rig. It took a few visits, but Jonathan always kept an eye on the weather, and kept in mind that we lived aboard at a marina. Very pleasant to work with, amazing end result, reasonably priced, and hell actually do the work (which Ive learned is not a given in Florida). I highly suggest him. Even if doing the actual work yourself, hit him up for stainless wire.Currently, weve also engaged them for the design and build of both a bimini frame and a dodger frame. Havent even heard of anyone better. Highly suggested!!I was so happy with the new rigging that I got a bit artsy with the photos. Good, competent, and competitively priced work.

After using JC marine service & fabrication for the past 2 years i can confidently say you are in good hands. We have used them on some fabrication projects like the scuba tank racks, solar panel arch now has been installed for 1.5 years and still looking great. had them overhaul our hydraulic steering. The team they have built up is great, professional honest. J.C Marine service and their crew fabricated a davit/arch all stainless steel polished. we are very happy with the quality of work to find the right crew to fabricate an arch like this is not easy. Jonathan and Lucas did some fantastic work for us. We have a 20yr old Catalina 470, and they helped us rebuild the in-mast roller furler, and fabricated new deck handrails too. Both jobs were reasonably priced, and quality work. Highly recommend these guys!

JC Marine recently completed the solar arch for my sailboat and I’m very happy with the results and the service. She’s a 31 foot rather low-slung sailing vessel that did not currently have an arch. Jonathan and crew did careful design and jigging work to make sure the arch would match well with her lines. They also communicated well during the process and kept me apprised of progress. I recommend them highly!

JC Marine fabricated 2 large stainless steel aft deck gates for an Ocean Alexander 85 with a beautifully cut OA logo and single deck hinge fitting. Despite significant demand for his services, Jonathan and his team were both timely and highly professional in replacing the rig on my Beneteau 473 sailboat. I did my homework evaluating other rig shops and JC Marine stood out based on customer service, materials, workmanship as well as cost. Having dealt with several marine service providers in the Ft Lauderdale area, JC Marine was a breath of fresh air.

J C Marine Service and Fabrication has performed several maintenance and repair projects on my 57 foot sailboat. These range from basic items such as oil and filter changes to repair and fabrication for my in mast furler to upgrading my hydraulic autopilot. All work was performed timely and in a competent manner. I highly recommend them.

GREAT FIND! Trying to find a competent rigger in South Florida is a challenge. Finding one that will then at least pick up the phone when you really need them I have found to be impossible - until I was fortunate enough to be referred to Jonathan. He did a complicated overhaul on my electric furlers, rebuilt my power winches and even diagnosed and repaired an electronics problem I was having. He removed took two of my sails, took them to a loft for repair and reinstalled them. He has given me breaks in prices whenever he could. All the work was done promptly and at fair prices. He is a treasure! He always answers his phone and does excellent subsequent communication.
