Bought several different kinds from Kroger thinking it was a premium brand. It certainly was priced as a premium brand but the Deer Tracks and cookie dough might as well have been plain vanilla. Hardly contained any deer tracks, choc chips or cookie dough. Kroger brand is much better and half the price.

Should make the raspberry chocolate chunk in 48oz.

Our family has been ice cream piggies lately. Maybe its the shutdown lol. Although its a little pricier than wed like, its creaminess, flavor, and the fact you have sealed the carton keeping the ice cream secure makes it the winner for us. As an allergy family, we have to be careful of cheaper ingredients in ice cream that usually make us sick. That has not happened once with any of Hudsonvilles flavors. My personal favorite is the Creamery Blend Vanilla and Blue Moon.

The packaging is very attractive but the quality isn’t as good as it looks or costs. Often, the mix-ins sink to the bottom of the carton.It still tastes good even if you’re only getting vanilla ice cream, because it’s ice cream. However, if you’re as much of an ice cream fanatic as I am, you’ll realize that the quality and flavor is subpar especially in comparison to the competition. It’s good, just not that good. & it’s kind of expensive.Get Tilamook, Guernsey, or Ben & Jerry’s instead. Hudsonville is a bit of a rip-off.

We love your ice cream! Unfortunately the last couple of time have been a disappointment.... we were so sad to settle in with your ice cream and a movie to find our ice cream was very much lacking most of the goodies we were excited about. This has happened twice now and both flavors were mostly just vanilla ice cream except for a small pocket in the middle which we had to dig around to find! Please remedy this situation so no one else has to be disappointed and sad like we were! 🥺

I LOVE the Hudsonville Coffee Lovers Dream flavor!!!!!! The only problem is I cant ever seem to find that flavor for sale anywhere around us other than getting a cone or a cup from some ice cream places. I wish I could buy half gallons for home. It is the BEST ice cream EVER!!!!!

For decades, Hudsonville Ice Cream was the gold standard here in Michigan. Simply put, no ice cream was better. Sadly, this no longer is the case. While like most other brands, they have reduced the carton size and increased the price over recent years, Hudsonville Ice Cream has taken it a step further by also drastically cutting back on the ingredients in their flavor offerings. One of our favorites has always been Orange Pineapple, which used to feature a generous mix of pineapple pieces, but not anymore. Now, what few pieces of pineapple we can find are hardly pieces -- they are more like specks. Same for one our other long-time favorites, Chocolate Almond. The almonds seem to have been replaced by a very sparse mix of almond bits. Hudsonville Ice Cream has clearly abandoned higher quality for higher profits. Thankfully we have other options.

Just tried Hudsonville for the first time, I am located in NW Ohio. The triple peanut butter was amazing and the traverse city cherry fudge was also excellent. A bit pricey but was on sale and my wife also had a coupon. Seems price and cost are very close here and thats why the 4 stars. For a buck or so less I think you would get twice as many customers. But I will be buying more, when its on sale.

Man I got the chocolate cherry fudge to try.so good sweet soft . The chocolate was not to strong . All the flavors balanced. Now I gotta go out tomorrow. Got to find a way to pinch calories. Living in Louisiana we dont get a variety. Even with the times it is good to see new products.

Purchased the Raspberry with Chocolate Chunk and OMG this is the absolute best ice cream it’s well worth every penny! My all time favorite dessert is a piece of flourless chocolate cake with raspberry sauce which this ice cream comes pretty darn close to.

Loved the ice cream since the first time I tried it, especially Deer Traxx but it has changed. It used to be mixed with the chocolate. Not it’s half vanilla with middle some chocolate and the rest is chocolate chunks till the bottom. Sometimes 3 inch wide chunks. I am assuming something has happened and no one is doing quality control so I will continue to buy it and hopefully it can be mixed better.

We are two-thirds of the way through a carton of Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough ice cream. And not only have there been very few chocolate chips, (so few, in fact, it looks like vanilla ice cream), but, so far, there have only been THREE pieces of cookie dough! I am NOT a fan of Vanilla ice cream! And I am also no longer a fan of Hudsonville!

A friend of mine brought over a new flavor of Hudsonville ice cream... Belgian Cookie Butter OMG! So yummy!! I recommend for everybody to try it.. Creamy and Delicious!!

This is the first time we bought Hudsonville ice cream. My wife was very impressed when she opened the container and there was a foil seal. We bought chocolate and butter pecan. Both were very good and had no weird after taste. This will be my only brand of ice cream from now on. We will not have to play guessing games anymore.

First and last time purchasing. Got the caramel deer tracks. Mostly just ice cream. Very little caramel. Very few caramel cups. Very disappointed for $5.50.

Just bought the Traverse city Cherry Fudge. I’m very disappointed. I paid $5.49 for it. They use fake cherries and they are NOT chunks like the container says, the fudge was all the way to the bottom and NOT thru the ice cream and it was in clumps. The picture is very deceiving. The taste I gave a two star. I would have given it more stars but considering the cherries and fudge issue and the lies on the container. Don’t deserve it. I should have went with my first choice Ben n Jerry’s.

I used to love HUDSONVILLIE ice cream, it was ALWAYS my go to ice cream. Lately it seems to have ice crystals in it and is not as creamy...I still buy it,.... I just miss the creamy goodness....

My husband and I, as well as our four other friends wanted to stop here for ice cream after dinner. We didn’t know they closed at 8 pm and our plan was to have me nurse my 11 week old daughter in the car in the parking lot while everyone else got ice cream. When we arrived at 8 pm and they told us they were closed, we just sat in the parking lot so I could nurse my daughter in the car because she was crying and needed to eat. One of the young women who worked there told us (with a lot of attitude) we needed to move our car out of the way so she could close off the area. We told her we were nursing so couldn’t move the car and she still made us drive. So we pulled out of the way. Another young woman who worked there came up to the car and said “I know your nursing but I can’t leave until you leave.” We were not in the way anymore as we had moved our car and just needed to finish feeding my daughter. We told her we just needed 5 more minutes. Another young man who worked there flicked us off as he drove away in his black truck. It is hard enough to try to nurse on the road but having multiple employees at this place make us feel super uncomfortable and rushed and flick us off is unacceptable. Whoever owns this place should hire new staff and we will never be coming back.

I used to LOVE Hudsonville ice cream. In fact, I raved to others about it- would eat it for breakfast even I loved it so much. Since the new package came out, the ice cream tastes different, most flavors i used to love have a significant decrease in flavor. I wish Hudsonville Ice cream would go back to the old recipe..

Ive always bought Breyers Ice Cream. I then tried the Toated Coconut and I was HOOKED! It was better then Breyers Coconut Fudge! I will continue to buy Hudsonville Ice Cream instead of Breyers!

I used to absolutely love Hudsonville, but since the new packaging I have been trying different flavors and there is no flavor, very bland! I recently just purchased superscoop which is supposed to be 3 different flavors and every color is the same “flavor” that doesn’t even taste like anything. I hope there’s a way to taste to goodness I used to taste!

I first tried Hudsonville Ice Cream when I was living in Comstock Park MI. There was this ice cream shop near where I lived and decided to give it a try. Loved it, so smooth and creamy. I’m back in Chicago and my Local Tony’s Grocery store now has Hudsonville Ice Cream 😁 the Superman ice cream is a for sure hit for the kiddos.

Ive been enjoying Hudsonville ice cream for many years but my recent purchase of your pistachio ice cream resulted in my being very disappointed. There are no pistachio nuts to be found and it tastes nothing like a pistachio. It tastes like someone dumped a bottle of almond extract into the batch. In fact, its almost a strong amaretto flavor. The grey-green color is quite unappealing, as well. I would recommend that they go back to the drawing board for this one.

The first time we bought your fudge swirl ice cream we were dissapointed as it was mostly vanilla ice cream with very little fudge. But we decided to try another flavor and bought your caramel deer tracks. In the entire carton, there were only 3 pieces of chocolate and very little caramel swirl. We basically paid for a very bland carton of vanilla ice cream. Needless to say, we will NOT be purchasing your ice cream again.

I buy the black cartons and it is awesome. Most of the people leaving negative reviews do not know that most other ice cream companies no longer sell ice cream. They sell what is known as frozen dairy dessert, because of how expensive ice cream has become to produce. So i do not mind paying a little extra and getting a little less. Keep up the good work.

Please bring back your blue carton ice cream! It tastes a lot different and isn’t nearly as creamy as the new package ice cream. Whatever you changed did not make it better. Went from being my favorite ice cream ever to just an average ice cream. Please listen to your customers I know I’m not the only one!! UPDATE: It seems that there might have been some quality issues when they first rolled out the new packaging / ice cream as others had reported (per Hudsonville Ice Cream) and so they gave me a free coupon. After buying another one the other day it is back to normal!!! It is back to its creamy goodness and everything tasted the same as before. Thank you for fixing Hudsonville Ice Cream! Still the best on the block!

I am sorely disappointed in your pistachio half gallon (not) ice cream. theree was no trace of a nut in the container so far and the taste is far from the taste i expect from your brand of others i have tried. just bad. your other fruity flavors have been disappointing too no trace of real fruit. what happened? all flavorings and no trace of the real thing? not good.

Why does it seem that every manufacturer of a ‘Butter Pecan” ice cream think that adding maple flavoring makes it better? Can I please get a buttered pecan, vanilla ice cream please?!!! If I wanted maple flavored ice cream—-then that’s what i’d buy!

Our family including myself totally hates the taste and flavor of the new Creamery Blend Vanilla. We threw it in the trash and went and bought County Fresh Vanilla that taste much like the original Hudsonville Vanilla. If we cannot get the original Hudsonville Vanilla back, you have lost a good customer.

Low quality ingredients, artificial colors, high fructose corn syrup, etc., etc., etc.. Way behind the times charging premium prices for your garbage pail ingredients. You need someone with a vision other than profits as your captain if you want to make it.

We moved to MI about 2 years ago and discovered Hudsonville Ice Cream. Our very favorite was the salted carmel. We even bought a small freezer so we could stock up during sales. As I recall you got a full 1/2 gallon - 64 oz. Then it went to 56 oz at same price. And other ice creams did the same. But I was in Meijers yesterday and did buy 2 containers of the salted carmel which I had not done in quite some time. Surprise! New container, a little cheaper, but now 48/oz. And it is not the same - no chunks of the chocolate now. Sorry, we won’t be buying it any more. Will buy Walmart’s brand tho it may have gone down in size too. But price is less than half.

Purchased the Deer Trax Ice Cteam which we love and is rather expensive to find that it was vanilla ice cream with just a few peanut butter cups. No chocolate fudge in the container.

I have loved Blue Moon Ice Cream since I was a child in Paw Paw MI. But alas my parents moved to Montana in 1977 when I was 8. My brother was older and stayed in Paw Paw and when I have the opportunity to get back I ALWAYS get Blue Moon. I have taken my children back with me a few times and they are hooked on it too.Sadly, there is nothing like Blue Moon I can find in Montana.

We use to buy this product almost weekly for years than somebody great idea to change the package raise the price and lower the amount of ice cream all at the same time .that being said the first time and only time we bought the new product traverse city fudge when we open the foil on the container there was a judge voig like they ran out of product and sealed it and shipped it .we will never buy this again we always enjoyed their product but the experience was enough .i don’t know if someone bought the company and tried to increase profits by short changing and cutting back on ingreadents what a shame another company that used to be good gone .
