I believe I was their last customer before they had to close their doors for the Covid shutdown. I was able to pick up my mandolin, giving me something to do during the shut down. They are a great local place for your musical needs and services. I will be returning for sure.

The pickup in my acoustic-electric guitar fell out (purchased elsewhere). I dropped it off at 4:30pm and got a call around 7:30pm telling me it was ready to go! Every employee I had contact with was helpful and friendly! Highly recommend for repairs!

Had my acoustic dropped off to be setup and restrung. My wife took it to them at 11 oclock and they were very helpful and great to deal with. They called at 6 oclock the same day to let us know that the guitar was ready. We picked it up the next day and the guitar is perfect and better than new. Great job with the setup! Looks great and sounds amazing! I definitely recommend RIT Music over the chain store alternatives.

I have been taking lessons for a few months and must admit Im amazed I can play as well as I am playing! Seriously, three months ago my wife was unimpressed with the noise (i thought it was music) I was creating. After three months with Cory, my wife actually tells me my music (not noise anymore) sounds great and she encourages me to keep playing. Nicely done Cory! Ill be back!

Not great. No drums considering it started out as RIT Drums decades ago. I needed an instrument amp. No amp. He seemed as though I was bothering him. Will continue shopping elsewhere.

Best place around for longboard parts

My 9 year old son comes here and sees Radu for guitar lessons. I highly recommend him! My boy has learned so much and enjoys his lessons. RIT also has a wide variety of instruments to choose from. We have bought an electric guitar and a ukulele, and both were very decently priced.

Ive been a customer of RIT for years, always welcomed and treated respectfully. Randy, Has Set Up several guitars and mods been happy with all.Lessons with Radu have been Excellent, a very personable man and excellent musician!!! The home town feeling one receives from a local music shop is what keeps them open....their excellence makes them a leader. RIT is easily the superior Music shop in west Michigan

This place is great. Bought my first guitar from them back when they still had the Northside location in the 00s. Went in the other day to find a case for a vintage Gibson and they were hugely helpful in taking the right measurements and finding an affordable match.

Helped me custom order a 6-string Ukulele to exactly the specifications I wanted. Also custom orders strings that I like. Helpful and friendly service. Would recommend this place to anyone.

I purchased a guitar case that needed to be ordered from the manufacturer. Upon arrival, there was a horrific odor coming from the case, and the salesman said he would send it back and get me a new one. Nearly a month later I had still not heard anything from them, and decided to stop in. I was told my order had been marked Complete and to check at home and make sure you didnt forget you picked it up. In essence, they kept my $125, kept the case they were supposed to have ordered for me, and treated me poorly. I will never go back and continue to encourage friends to make the drive to Grand Rapids or Lansing, as they are certain to get better service from RITs competitors.

I Visited the store during this years tulip festival. They had very little selection and wouldn’t let me demo any guitars unless I planned on buying them. All the guitars had signs in them that said “Please ask for assistance”. Made it feel very revolting... a music store that requires you to ask to use equipment. They had very little high end equipment and had almost no drum equipment other than cymbals and sticks. There was one drum kit in the whole store and had a “Do not touch” sign on it. Wouldn’t recommend.

Its a nice little music store. The staff was very nice. The prices were a little high in some areas though, and being downtown it can be difficult to get to for a quick purchase.

The luthier was very helpful and knowledgeable. He definitely seems to know his trade and was quick and helpful.

Decent store. Some employees are kinda douchy guys who seem annoyed by customers who dont share the same knowledge they have on instruments. Other employees are stand up dudes that want to help you out no matter what.

I went in to get some wire and other miscellaneous items for my guitar I was repairing to play with some friends that evening. The person I talked to was very short with me and rude, saying he had some but he would not sell it, because he uses it, and that I should order it online. Whenever ever possible I try to shop at small local businesses but I will not be shopping here again. This was a very poor experience.

This is easily one of the worst music stores Ive ever been to. I stopped in with a friend who also plays guitar and when we wanted to check out two different guitars simultaneously, the guy helping us said it wasnt a good idea because we might start jamming in here. Imagine that, people playing and enjoying some MUSIC in a MUSIC store. When I did get to play, I was not allowed to use a nicer combo amp and instead was told I should use a Roland Micro cube, an okay practice amp but definitely not what I had asked to use. If you even touch a guitar just to feel the finish, you will be told to not use the instruments without asking. And dont bother asking to try out some drums or cymbals, thats too loud for them to handle. Save yourself the aggravation and go somewhere that actually appreciates music.

Staff was helpful, answered all my questions and fixed my guitar string and attached a strap fastener very quickly. Definitely a good place to go for all thing guitar!

Take your husband ladies, he will love it!! Especially if you buy him something!

This is a top-of-the-line local musical instrument shop (that doubles as a skateboard emporium) with excellent selection, knowledgeable staff and a vibe that is all about bringing out the best in musicians of every stripe and experience level. No egos, just music.

I wanted to buy a guitar for my daughter in Christmas Eve and with hours from 11-5 the store was closed at 4:20pm the employee was just sitting at the counter and never opened the door for me.

Holland RIT Music store offer you guitar, and guitar accessories, as well as drumming equitment, electronics, and other music assocories. They also of an area of long boards of a variety oflengths, styles, and colors. If you would like to learn a musical instrument, RIT music also offers lessons. As I am not sure what they offer or their availability, you would have to call them to see their aviable lessons. They also offer a guitar repair center, and they may repair other kinds of instruments as well. Please give them a call since they would know more than me.

I wouldnt trust my gear to anyone else! Great staff and prices for your musical needs!
