I often visit the Muskegon location. I was going through town and decided to have a look around.Thier Genesis selection was a little lackluster. It was mostly sports games.I did find a season of the Simpsons I was missing.The buy three items get a fourth free deal is a great value.The staff was friendly and attentive. The store clean.

Absolutely love going here! I have been buying and selling here for a few years. Games, systems and movies. Their selection is awesome, and always changing as they take in new inventory. Very nice people and very helpful. The prices they offer for your old games and systems are fair. And Tucker (golden retriever) is just a doll! Highly recommend this store.

Pretty disappointed I cant recommend this place anymore.If health is a concern: employees generally wear masks around their chins or not at all.Zero respect for their customers, or the local community.Zero care given if you or a loved one has struggled in the last year with Covid-19.If you dont know anyone who has, this might be the place for you!

I have been shpping here for nearly all of my technological needs since I was young. Everyone there is kind and helpful and meeting the store pet Tucker the Golden Retriever was a real treat. I think I would appreciate it more if they had more options for video games, however the prices are phenomenal and I will continue to shop here.

Stopped in on a Saturday night. The atmosphere good, people shopping but not too busy. I picked up some CDs and some records. The CDs were great, the records were very dusty and well-used - no inner sleeves, etc. But once I washed the records, they played great!

I LOVE this store. They even get rid of any scratches on my CDs. Music is VERY important to me. Ive been listening to my favorite music while going on drives at night since age 16. I LOVE 1980s and early 1990s! Ive got my favorites from here like: West End Girls (1986), Shout (1985), The Look (1989), RELAX (1984), Johnny Hates Jazz (1988) and so many more...way too many to list here!Adding later: To the owner...lol...I LOVED your hilarious replies to all these whiny losers...talking about peon levels of price differences. I recommend coming here before spending to much at a franchise like GameStop.This place is AWESOME!The selection was great and the customer service was AMAZING!We walked in thinking we were going only be able to afford 1 maybe 2 good games and walked out with 6!!We had just purchased a gaming console from a yard sale and the guy behind the counter asked if he could check it out for us. I said sure and he cleaned up the harddrive and memory for us and even found out a game already existed on the console. He made sure the console worked properly and did all of this free of charge!! He was very knowledgeable about the gaming system and each model. He was also super friendly and wasnt looking to rush us out the door. Which is never the case anywhere else. Especially when you have 3 kids in tow and 1 of them is a curious 2 year old.I appreciate local businesses like this for the dedication they put into every aspect of their business.

Love this place. You never know what youre going to find. Ive found CDs there for $8 that cost $50 on Amazon. I try to go only a few times a year, because when I do I spend a ton of money. Love this place.

I love this little Holland owned shop! They always have the most fairly priced stuff. They will be 5-15 bucks cheaper then any place in the area. Their customer service is great all the guys there are very great. Always a great experience.

Great place to shop, staff here is efficient, you lose 1 star for a few reasons, if Im coming in to sell something I dont need a staff member telling me that the item is useless and wont sell keep the useless part to yourself and kindly refuse the offer. Secondly this is the primary reason why I cant stand buying video games here, I dont know whos idea it was to put such a awful price tag sticker on the game cases its highly unnecessary theyre difficult to remove and if not removed correctly they will damage the case. Stickers can lessen the value of items so take this into consideration and please find a alternative solution.

Love this place very much. My Girlfriend and I come here a few times a month to browse to selection they have. They get new movies in all the time and it leads to fun cheap date nights. The staff is always nice and will happily look up movies to see if they have them in case you cant find them yourself. Highly recommend.

Ive been a frequent customer for about 20 years. For me its always been a go to place when looking for reasonably priced video games & accessories, CDs, and movies. Super helpful staff, and owner. I deducted one star because of how trade ins seem to work at times. I recently brought in a almost brand new game with stellar reviews that a new copy everywhere is, and will remain $59.99 for some time. It wasnt even in the system there yet, only being a few weeks old. It was on sale for a couple days at best buy for $40 when Id gone in I guess, so that brought the trade in value down to $15. Its $59.99 everywhere still, best buy included. I do understand mine was a used copy, and youre trying to run a business. It still felt insultingly low for something you can turn around, and sell for 2 times what you paid for it, with that price even being one of the cheapest used copies in existence. I could turn around, and sell it for 3× what was offered myself. Its happened on more than one occasion, and reminds me of why people joke about trading things in to gamestop. Even they though at the time of writing this, are offering $27 cash for it. Regardless, Ill never hesitate to recommend CD exchange, and do so often. Its a staple in Holland, and its basically a life-hack to check what they have before going to the big box stores. Youll more often than not find exactly what youre looking for, and then some!

This place is the best. I almost always come out at least with what I wanted and usually more. If they dont have what I was looking for then they always offer to take my name and number in case a copy comes through. The guys are super helpful and unless they are obviously swamped they always take the time to answer questions. I always recommend this place to my friends. Keep up the great work guys!

You will probably be disappointed if you are looking for records here. They are all lined up on the floor under the cd racks, so crawling on the floor is required. I came across a number of classic titles I would have bought, but they were in poor condition. Worn covers with plenty of scratches and scuffs was too common. Pops, clicks, skips, and constant noise are not fun if you want to enjoy the music. I would suggest they learn what to look for condition wise when taking them in and dumping all the junk, then make a nice section with standing bins to flip through. A well curated selection would attract more record hunters and probably boost sales once word gets out. You may have heard that vinyl sales have overtaken CDs recently, so the market is out there. Otherwise, the staff was helpful and honest. There was also a decent selection of retro games.

So Im new to the area and I checked out all the local gaming places over the last few days. CD exchange, disc traders, GameStop all had their perks and would all be worth going to. I would recommend these 3 to fellow gamers. Anything else in the area I visited was not worth it. Good selection here on games and music. Im not a music fan but if you are this and disc traders are worth it. GameStop was good for new gen games. CD exchange and disc traders have good retro items as well as the newer stuff.

Would not accept any of my movies because they had dust on them. I no longer wanted the movies they had no marks. They worked perfectly. The thing is they had dust on them go figure

I recommend this store over any Play n Trade any day of the week! I bought four games with them; and they gave me the fourth one for free. They were going to give me the cheapest of the four for free, but they decided to make it the most expensive one because the sticker on the cartridge was slightly damaged. I also asked if they had a game, but they couldnt find it in their inventory because it was buried. They took the time over the weekend to find it, and call me the next day to come pick it up. What service!

Id first like to say that I came here WANTING to buy something but the way I was treated when I came in was very unnecessary. And by reading the responses of other bad reviews, the owner doesnt seem to really care and is also rude.I went in today wanting a Wii and to look for some game cube games. I wasnt acknowledged once. No hi, no welcome. Nothing. I was there for atleast 5 minutes, maybe 10. Two workers were there just screwing around on the computer. Nobody else was in the store. They didnt ask if I was looking for anything until after I started heading for the door. They seemed annoyed with my questions and like they didnt want my business.Also, the prices are the highest in town. Go to disc traders and save your money.
