Sharp Construction was perhaps the most professional construction team we’ve ever used. Punctual, quick to respond, and honors their commitment. Our roof was quite challenging- so much so that other roofing companies would not take the job. Sharp took it and stood by it until the job was done to everyone’s satisfaction. It was done beautifully and we received lots of compliments on it and had one person so impressed that they booked Sharp to do the same roof on their house. If you want your house to look sharp- go with Sharp Construction. 😆

Sharp Real Estate and Construction is an excellent company and would highly recommend. I had water damage inside my house from ice dams last winter due to poor roofing and insulation. After trying different contractors and not getting anywhere, I found Sharp online. Vince and his team were great, they were quick to come out, access the situation and they came out a few more times with their partner contractors to reassess the project until a good game plan was made. They were great with their communication and honest with their timeline. On the date of the project I was happy to see Vince there along with other contractor managers to see that the job got going on the right foot. (So many other contractors I’ve had, a sales guy comes and quotes, then on project day, some kids show up with no project leader and start winging it). And Vince and other leads stayed through most of the day keeping me informed of what is going on along with pictures. The roofing and insulation teams were fast, efficient and professional and worked together really well. I thought it was going to be an all day job, even going into the evening, but they were done and cleaned up by 3pm. We wanted to ensure that a top-rated, BBB-accredited, reputable, licensed and insured company completed the task and every facet of the project was taken care of, from permitting to disposal. The crew arrived early in the morning to begin tearing off the existing roof and the materials were delivered to the rooftop shortly after. The crew finished the project by late afternoon and the yard was completely clean so my children could play in the yard later that day. The new roof allowed us to sell the home for a significantly higher amount than we could have gotten with the original roof, and even today, the house still looks incredible! Thanks Sharp!

It was noticed that Sharp Construction was being used for various house in our neighborhood and it was time for our roof to be repaired, as well. It speaks for itself when the same company is being used in our nice neighborhood! We had Sharp install a new Decra metal roof and were more than pleased with the result. In the day of contractor actions of saying what they would do and then not doing it, Sharp was the exception. From Dan Wright, the sales rep to Andrew the job supervisor and finally to Dave and Chad the sub contractor/ installers they were great. We were told when to expect the installers to arrive and what time, they were to be there by Andrew and they arrived as he said. Dave and Chad made sure the roof was water tight before they left for the day. Plus, they cleaned up the yard before they left to go home. Dan stopped by to made sure the pricing and materials we wanted arrived as promised. Overall this is a great company to have work for you.

Sharp Construction is ON POINT!We had the shingles on our home taken off and new ones put on. From the consultation to installation, Sharp Construction communicated details well, taking time to answer any questions we had. The prices were communicated upfront and we were happy to find out that they included everything up front so that we didnt have any hidden costs pop up when it came time to pay. Everyone we have encountered has been very professional. I purchased my first home thanks to the help of Ryan Skornicka. As a first time buyer, Ryan was very knowledgeable and helped walk me through the very complex and stressful process. He responded quickly whenever I had a question about a property, or if I wanted his opinion on anything. I was looking for homes in a few different geographical locations and he seemed familiar with them all. Ryans help allowed for this normally stressful process to be very smooth and exciting.

Sharp was installing a new roof on a neighbors home and Tim Horbert, their Construction Consultant, stopped by our home to give the timing details of the project and assure us that all materials would be removed daily and if there were any issues to contact him immediately. Tim and crew did an outstanding job on the their home so we had him quote and subsequently replace our roofing also. The team did a great job with high craftsmanship and attention to detail. Despite a snafu with the wrong color shingles being placed on our roof and a portion of them being installed, once the mistake was discovered, action was taken to correct it quickly. Let me be VERY CLEAR it was NOT the fault of Sharp Construction! They halted the work, got the right color and got it installed the next day!! I would have been SUPER hard pressed to find 1 nail in the yard, everything was cleaned up in no time once they were finished. Our new roof looks fantastic on our house!! Now, to paint it a better color! I might just be inquiring of Sharp what they think about that job next! Good people they are….!

We just finished up a complete siding replacement along with a new entry door installation and gutter installation. We could not be more pleased with the results! From the very beginning of this project, our main contact person at Sharp, Ryan Skornicka, was attentive and professional. He helped us from day one with the planning of our project offering advice and suggestions. We were originally going to use one product but decided to go with Quality Edge steel siding using a combination of True Cedar, Board and Batten, and Vesta. We also wanted a new front door and Ryan helped us choose and amazing Provia French door with 2/3 glass panels for a timeless look. The door is the crowning jewel on our beautiful new home! Sharp organized all of the work and the installers they chose for us were all expert craftsmen who were reliable and great to work with. Although it took longer than expected to get the product in as a result of supply chain delays not in anyone’s control, the final results were worth the wait. For any potential clients of Sharp, I hope you take the time to read my lengthy review. I read through many Sharp reviews before deciding on them, and admittedly was a little skeptical of all the 5 stars. Please read on and let me tell you why they will be adding another 5-star review:After a once-in-a-lifetime hail storm that damaged our roof, aluminum siding, gutters, some windows, and other various items outside, I didnt exactly know what to do regarding the assessment of the damage and dealing with insurance. There were storm chasers all over town (some from out of state), and it was easy to get the wool pulled over your eyes by people try to capitalize on the moment. Throw in (at this time) a very new pandemic that we were learning to deal with, and that made for a very confusing situation. Vince with Sharp called me, as a few others had, knowing our area was hit hard. I was skeptical at first, but instead of being pushy like most cold-callers, Vince Huizinga was very polite and forthcoming of the reason for the call. He didnt try to make promises he couldnt keep just to get me to bite, but instead of explained some of the basics that happen after a storm like we had, and asked for the opportunity to come look at the house. I appreciated how he approached our conversation.Once Vince got to the house he, and his storm damage/insurance expertise, was able to point things out that I would not have noticed, and things that the insurance adjuster may have overlooked. He worked directly with my insurance, but always made the time to explain to me what was going on in terms I could understand.Once the work began, Adam managed the job and did an outstanding job. Again, communication was great, and worksmanship was even better. The roof they put on looks phenomenal, and what was very important to me (with two small children) was that I couldnt find a single nail or bits of shingle anywhere around my house. Really great job on the cleanup.The siding crew that was assigned to my project do not directly work for Sharp, but after observing the meticulous nature they worked with, I understand that Sharp does not subcontract anyone that does not meet their standards. I was probably more involved with the entire process than most homeowners will be, but these guys were great at making some suggestions and being flexible with what we wanted out of our house. I recommended Sharp to many of my neighbors, and they have been equally pleased with the work that Sharp has done.

I hired Sharp Construction to Replace our Roof, Replace the Gutters on the house, Replace two windows in our Garage and replace carpet in two of our rooms. In all areas they did a 5 star job. We new there were leaks in our roof and would need to be addressed. The installers did a great job and went above expectations.On all projects the cleanup was exceptional and they would arrive in the times that they provided. We had siding blowing off in wind. Our builder would not contact us (brand new house) so I called Sharp Construction. They came out quickly, worked with me, found the correct color of siding, measured, gave me an estimate & we were going forward with having entire side of house replaced. Finally our builder came through after he realized we were going to pursue all avenues against him & sent someone to fix our house. No one believes that the siding was installed correctly on this side of house, so we may be using Sharp in the future. I definitely recommend them!!! They provided so much help & assistance. Wow, we are so impressed with the service we got from Sharp on our recent reroofing project. They arrived when they said theyd be there, explained everything thoroughly and were able to install a new roof on our 100 year old cottage efficiently and at a great price. Sharp Construction LLC of Holland MI is a reliable, honest, ethical general contractor company. They have the best team, very customer-satisfaction oriented. When I called and requested a quote, they were at my house the next day, and I had the written estimate via email and text within a day. No surprises. They answered every question I had about every item on the proposal, and scheduled the work to start within 2 weeks, and it took exactly 2 days to complete. No delays, no excuses. And when it was done, there were no extra hidden last minute costs. The estimate was exactly how much I paid. And then, after all the work was finished (which I still cant get over - being done so quickly!) I asked for a favor for one of the team to take pics of the completed roof and the new gutters and the new gutter screens. Response: no problem! Eric made a special trip and climbed up a ladder 2 stories to take pictures for me and sent them to my phone. Best contractor experience Ive had in the 25 years Ive owned my home. I will definitely hire them again, and Ill recommend them to anyone who asks if I know of a good contractor!

I own multiple properties and I have had experience with the worst imaginable roofer (literally all summer to do a 2-day job which only lasted 6 years) to so-so roofers, to quality roofing. Unfortunately, you really don’t know what you have with a roof until time goes by – maybe years. I have also learned that there must a million ways to cut corners in roofing and the homeowner simply doesn’t know what they don’t know – until later…..For me, I want the job done right, to last: Quality.I can’t imagine any other parameter that matters with a roof. But how do you know?I chose Sharp to do 2 roofing jobs: including my home. I chose them because of the transferable GAF Golden Pledge Warranty. GAF carries the warranty – not the local roofer who might be gone tomorrow. With these 2 jobs, I only had Golden Pledge roofers give me a quote. The quotes were basically all the same. Of that group, Sharp was the most responsive, in every way. In fact, I would say that Derrick bent over backwards for me to deal with wind damage/insurance on one job. That’s a great story in itself. The crews did it right by every parameter including dealing with the problems that show up when the shingles are off. That will happen too, whether you find out or not.I know that roofing can be seen as a commodity where you go for as cheap a price as possible. I’ve learned it’s not and my review is to help the next person not make the same mistakes I made in the past when I was less informed.Do it right and save yourself all the hassle from a cheapo roofer doing a lousy job. One last thing, don’t let the friendly, smooth talking of the roof salesman sell you. What you want is demonstrable, tangible quality- that’s a lasting warranty from a company that’s going to be around. They have to prove it too. Either way, you’re going to pay. Quality costs less as time goes by.

In the spring of 2020 a hail storm passed through our area damaging our roof and siding. Sharp construction was recommended to me as a possibility. I called Sharp Construction. Within a day or two Dan came and looked things over and said we had a good possibility for insurance coverage. I contacted our insurance company and Dan worked with them to negotiate the finances. Very quickly the project was scheduled and when the roofing crew came it was done within two days. Everything was taken care of. It took a little time to get the siding matched and replaced but it was hard to find the older siding. The work was finished and dealing with them was simple. I have been working with a salesman from Sharp since last year (August) - the sales man was friendly and to my knowledge was working with my insurance to approve damages before scheduling, it was the end of November and they couldn’t replace it because of weather?? We signed a contract and had a date scheduled (dates changed ). I tried to reach out to confirm and no response. The gentleman I was working with no longer worked there, nobody would return my calls and the damage to my child’s room doubled, water leaking from the roof they put a tarp on, months later they sent someone out, he seen the water coming in all over my sons keyboard and other items! I called and called and they told me they basically lost my file, put the “no lead” drawer.... All my pictures and paperwork- gone.... missing and nobody even knew about the salesman working with my insurance! Now my insurance is giving me the worst time due to lack of communication and timing....Mind you... I signed a contact with Sharp - not the salesman!I would have chose a different company to go with and none of this damage would have occurred, legally I didn’t know I was allowed to use another company when contracted with another.This is very sad and could have all been prevented, they have offered nothing and will not respond, hate to write a bad public review on a company but for them to know that this is happening to my child’s room and not offer to get up there and tarp it or schedule me before snow!fall is / was wrong.

After witnessing hail damage in early April I was fortunate to hire Sharp construction for the repair of my roof, gutters and siding. Not only Is Sharp construction a professional company with outstanding people to work with, but their construction workers are all great craftsmen who start and finish a project on time. My replacement roof with 42 squares and two shingles to tear off took only one day. I am more than pleased that I hired Sharp construction. It is easy to see why they have a 5 star rating.

Im no roofer, but I cannot find a single flaw with the work they did, and Im confident if I did have an issue it would be completely taken care of. They provided us with a high-quality product (GAF Timberline) with an excelent warranty (GAF Golden Pledge) at a great price, better than the competitors I priced in the area. Ryan was a pleasure to deal with, extremely friendly and sociable. Sharp put a new roof on our house last month. Every step of the way—the estimate, scheduling, communication during the project and when it was finished—was excellent. We havent had any quality issues, which I guess could take time to show up, but so far so good. All in all, it was a great experience for much less money than the other bids we received.

It has been a long time since I have worked with a company that is so professional and delivers the customer service anyone would be looking for. The quality of the workmanship was outstanding. I say that because what I asked them to build. (bench seat) I basically knew what I wanted but I didnt think of all the nuances in the building of. It was refreshing to have someone ask my opinion throughout the entire job. I got exactly what I wanted and more. This is a company that should be proud of the job and customer service they deliver.

They were the easiest to work with. First thing, Vince returned my call and then showed up to estimate when he said he would. He kept in contact with me as I have never filed a claim before and helped with all aspects of that journey.Adam also answered all my questions that came after. They were very careful of my yard and cleaned up their mess. You cant tell they were here except for the new roof.They finished the job in one day. They were friendly and polite. I work from home so I was around the entire day.I would hire them again and have referred them to my neighbors and friends.

This is my first time ever having to replace a roof. Jessica was very helpful in answering questions and finding the right price and product for us. They went out of their way to accommodate our schedule and to meet with the insurance company. This company has got customer service and they don’t disappoint. This is the second time that I have had work done by Sharp Construction. They are prompt, courteous, friendly and very professional. Every worker that I have encountered has been polite and have left the place cleaned up. A few times they were working when we could not be home. Upon arrival back to the house, you would never have known they were there; except for the project is now complete. I have felt that the quote I was given was fair and the quality of the work done was worth the price that I paid. I will definitely be using them again for future projects on my home!!

Our son found a stain on his ceiling on a Friday night. Called Sharp Monday morning and they were able to get someone out Tuesday morning to review and see our new home had the roof caps and vents installed poorly and it caused snow build up to melt into the house instead of running off. Even in January (thankful the weather was half way decent) they had a crew out quick to fix the issue before the next storm. Would highly recommend for roofing projects.

I was very impressed with Sharp Construction! From beginning to end, Ryan was excellent to work with, and the team he has is extremely professional and did amazing work!We had a new deck installed, new window, and new front entry way which added so much value to our home and we absolutely love it! It was time for St. James Lutheran Church to re-roof our church building. This included removing 2 layers of shingles and then shingling over the prepared surface. Our church roof is quite complex due to its design - many valleys, peaks, as well as very steep. Since it was a large project, we contacted three companies that we felt had the expertise and management depth to complete our project. After a thorough review, we chose Sharpe to handle our project. We were completely satisfied with the quality of the materials and workmanship we received. I would recommend Sharpe without any hesitation.

We hired Sharp Construction to vinyl side over our current T1-11 wood siding. We had old T1-11 siding that was rotting and aging. They replaced the certain areas that were rotting with vinyl siding. Nick and Patrick did an amazing job siding our house. They were extremely detail oriented and did not cut corners. Their quality of work far exceeded my high expectations. Thank you!

My wife and I relocated to Byron Center a couple months ago. A couple weeks ago, after a hard rain, our daughter noticed a small spot in the living room ceiling. We have a leak. I didn’t know a reputable roofer in the area but I did know I needed to find one fast. I researched And got some names. Winter is closing in, everyone was busy. It looked like I was going to have to wait a few days before anyone could even make it out. I made an appointment with Sharp Construction because they could make it out sooner than anyone I talked to so far, but it was still going to be three days. A couple hours after making the appointment, Ryan from Sharp called and said he would make it out the next day. Upon his inspection, It appeared to be at a vent pipe. Ryan said It was a small job. He ended up making the repair. Not only did he make the repair, but he looked the whole roof over. The roof is only 8 years old, but evidently there was a bad hail storm that came through the area a few years ago and did a lot of damage to many roofs which shortened the life of the roofs. Ryan said They replaced many roofs due to the storm. Anyway, he told me everything looked good with ours. He suggested I call them back in five years to reinspect, but should have several years of life left on this roof. He did all this for no charge!! You don’t find this kind of customer service these days. I can’t thank Ryan and Sharp Construction more. This may have been a small job, but fixing that leak and preventing further damage was HUGE to me! I will be passing out his cards.

Fast, courteous and affordable. In November I decided to replace cedar shingles on my dormer with vinyl shingles. The soonest Sharp could schedule my job was late Feb. Came home from holiday travels Jan 2nd and job was complete. Beautifully done and well worth the price.

We hired Sharp for our bathroom renovation and couldnt be happier. They fulfilled our vision just as we had hoped! Not only was their work wonderful, our project manager Aaron was so fun to work with and was excited about our project just as we were. Each trades person who came into our home (electrician, plumber, demo, tile, etc) were fantastic. All very friendly and courteous. We have three little boys at home who were interested in the goings-on and I was very impressed with how friendly the workers were with our children (and their curiosities) during the process.
