The place is expensive. They dont let you browse. Kept asking me if there was anything they could help me with. I just wanted to look at a couple things and they follow you around. Annoying. Were not all thieves have aliitle trust. I wont go back.

Well the place feels like out if ny league. Im a cabelas kind of guy.

We purchased 2 of their store brand kayaks (same boat as a Perception Tribe). Got a great deal on Black Friday and picked them up in-store. It was about 24* and nearing closing time, but the staff was friendly and even helped me load these on top of my SUV. Super nice folks and great products. Cant wait to get these in the water (in a warmer climate, of course)!

Helpful staff but their products are pricey.

This ranking most likely reflects the covid shutdown difficulties that all businesses are experiencing. West Marine prides themselves on having what you need (even if you pay more) but at this point in time the place looks like its been looted. Shelves are bare for all of the basic needs to get you in the water. Staff is not very well informed at this location either. I hope to edit this review after life returns to normal.

Always have a great experience in this store. The staff really cares about you and wants to help. Last time I was in there the staff went above and beyond to help me understand exactly what I needed. Great selection.. a boaters Paradise.

Good for the basics if need anything technical better off ordering it online. It will arrive sooner and you can save yourself a trip between ordering it and having to go back to pick it up. Call first if you do order to make sure its in as the date given may not actually be the correct delivery date.

In rebuilding our sailboat we become a constant customer. They usually have everything we need and if they dont they are happy to order it for us. A little pricey but well worth it as a one stop shop for any of our boating needs!

Overpriced like any marine store. Annoying cashiers give the hard sell on warrantys and paying to join the discount club to save money. If you want to save money buy anywhere else. Up selling a warranty by using fear as a tactic is a shady way to do business. If the item is likely to break why the hell would I buy it? Thats the way their hard sell warranty is presented.

Staff is very helpful. The store has most of the things youll need. Some of the more obscure items they may not have, but you can order them. If you want large quantities, they often dont have lots of everything. Again, you can order it.

If you own a boat you will need to come here. Best selection of cleaners and washers and polishes and lights,etc. in one place.

We went to this store to buy a UHF boat radio. They didnt have any on the shelves so we asked if we could just buy the display model. The assistant manager said she didnt know how to take the security tag off from it. We also asked her to tell us about the Sirius XM radio for our boat and again she said she didnt know anything about them. She said that she worked there for a long time so you would think I would know this stuff by now and laughed. She said no one in the store could help us because the person that might know would not be in for a couple of days. We ended up leaving without purchasing anything when we were ready to buy both the Sirius radio and UHF radio. We were completely shocked by the lack of knowledge, product availability and willingness to figure things out. Will not be going back there.

Sometimes not the cheapest prices but you get an expert when youre going there to buy. Weather its looking at fastners, line, sailing equipment or batteries the staff is there to help.
