I would not recommend taking your vehicle here. I have gone twice to get my car fixed for the same problem and not even months later my car will not start again! Same exact issue... other than that the people seemed nice and willing to help but overall would not recommend. Over 4 grand in the trash.
Tyler, I just wanted to inform you about my 2019 GMC Sierra. To say I am disappointed in your service would be putting it mildly. I have bought vehicles from Elhart and had them serviced there for the last 8 yrs. and was satisfied.. It appears as if things have changed. I have been dealing with this transmission issue for quite awhile. Then I came in with a shift to park issue and was told it would take over a week. You told me you would check with GMC about this possibly being covered since I have had problems while it was still under warranty and get back to me. You never did. I took it to another dealership and got it fixed in 1 day. It was at my expense. ($987). I am now part of a law suit with GM. I am sorry but I feel I have to end my relationship with Elhart. Tom
I worked with John in their service department and they have some of the best service around. I have had everything from brakes and rotors done all the way up to full engine replacement on my truck. Any time that I have came in for service they are very prompt at getting you taken care of and into your loaner or rental vehicle. Any time that they complete their inspection they communicate their findings and let you know exactly what needs to be done and at what price. I have never had an issue with any other service. And their pricing compares to if not better than everyone else in the area.
I purchased tires from them and they wanted to charge me 20 dollars to rotate them and 80 dollars to balance them. When I said I had a coupon from competitor for cheaper price they hung up on me.
My experience with Elhart couldnt have been any better. Troy Hiemstra was great at facilitating my sale even though I was on the other side of the state. We did everything through email and phone and when i showed up for delivery, everything was ready to go. Very pleasant experience!
Last week, my husband and I went in to look at my options for a lease and left with an incredible 2020 Terrain. With the help of Rick, I left satisfied and impressed by his great customer service. He was easy to talk to and was so knowledgeable about the car and all it had to offer. Very happy with our service at Elhart and will be returning customers.
I brought my 13 Terrain in for some work due to recalled pistons. While they had my engine out replacing the pistons, they called to tell me my catalytic converter was bad. I paid to have that replaced along with a few other things (total of about $1400 worth of extra work) and got my car back a couple of days later. Soon after the car starting making a noise but I was unable to get in due to the pandemic. When the noise got louder, I stopped by Elhart to have a mechanic look at it to make sure it was safe to drive. They said yes, I should be just fine to drive it until my appointment they had scheduled for me later that week (earliest they could get me in they said). Fast forward to the next morning, Im on my way to work and I hear a VERY loud noise from underneath my hood. Im stuck on the side of the road with a car that will no longer accelerate and sounds like a 1940s tractor. I had it towed to the closet local shop (I live about 30 miles from Elhart otherwise I would have had it towed directly there) for a diagnosis and they said I had a cracked exhaust manifold AND catalytic converter. I called Elhart and they had it towed back to their shop with the promise of calling me by the end of the day letting me know what happened and to possibly get me into a loaner. I never received any communication from them until the next day. They called me the next day to tell me they repaired the car and I could come get it. Offered no explanation or apology for any of it. Very unhappy with the lack of communication, customer service, and repair job.
All of my interactions have been very positive. Have had different vehicles from here over the years & continuously get good service. Dealers are known for higher prices on auto work but I believe they are competitive plus they know the vehicle.Think Ill keep coming back.
If it would let me I would give a negative 5 star ratingI took my vehicle in for service, the calipers were sticking. According to the mechanic no its warped rotors. So they change them and put the OLD calipers back on. We told them we would be back because the calipers were bad. 750 Miles and back to the shop. A little over a year and o guess what again with the rotors. I was told that because it is a heavy duty truck that towing things could cause the rotors to get hot a warp. How funny because we didnt tow our trailer but twice, and hardly no snow to to plow. But we have the extra towing package on the truck, so that should not happen. We go to pick up the truck and didnt even get out of the driveway and it was pulling HARD to the left. We left it for them to fix, but tried to make it seem as though it was not a big deal. but had to change the calipers AGAIN. Third time for the same issue and had to pay the warranty ded ALL three times. They were nice enough to bring me my vehicle, but no paper work, and still have not herd from them or got my paper work from them, The worst part is I asked them to call me, after I updated my phone number with them over 4 times and who do they call. NOT ME. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER VEHICLE FROM THEM AGAIN. We bought two brand new from them and this is how they do people.
Awesome customer service. Seems they are always able to get me in when everyone is busy. Might just start making the 30 minute drive rather than hit the local dealership.

Really great experience buying a car here with Juan. Low pressure, super nice. He was extremely accommodating, he even came in on his day off to close the sale with us, and did a majority of the paperwork over the phone because we live further away. Dave U was also great, stayed late to finish the paperwork and get us driving the car that night. Super pleased with our new car and the great deal we got on it.
I got a flat tire on my way to Holland and ended up getting a tow here. My car arrived JUST before they closed. Service staff was very friendly considering I walked in just before they closed. After explaining I was two hours away from my house they squeezed me in for a tire repair, and had me back on the road in 30 minutes! Extremely thankful they worked me in, I was not looking forward to changing a tire in the snow to wait hours for discount tire to repair it.
Had some pretty major engine work done under warranty on my Sierra. They made the process as painless as possible, and the work was excellent. My service adviser was a joy to work with and they even washed and vacuumed my truck. Ive had many poor experiences with dealerships, but Elhart has been the best yet and I will be going back when the need arises.
Liked working with Jennifer, shes very helpful and nice. Wont make a deal or bargain on price... but over all good buying experience

I have been an Elhart customer for 25 years primarily because of their emphasis on total customer satisfaction. This appointment was for an oil change/tire rotation along with recall work. Elhart provided me a courtesy vehicle due to the recall work at no charge and were fast and efficient on performing the work in an excellent manner and according to my wishes. Im also impressed that they wash and vacuum the vehicle at no charge before returning it to me.
I cannot say enough good things about the sales and service and finance people at Elhart! Seriously. My car buying process personally took several months, and I first tried another Hyundai dealer in West MI and my experience was HORRIBLE.When I went to Elhart it was like a breath of fresh air! No high pressure. They didnt even shove any business cards in my face.Buying from them has been a very positive experience and I love my new car! If I had to buy another car tomorrow, I would go back to Elhart. Hands down there is not another dealership in the area that I have been to (Hyundai or otherwise) that has been as friendly, courteous, helpful or professional.They found the exact car I wanted within a week of making my decision and the process was entirely painless for me.

I keep coming back because they are very good to work with and their service department always trys hard to make sure things are taken care of on the first visit. Good people there. I have my latest truck set up so they can log in and keep track of my service needs for me using real data directly from my truck without needing to stop on first. Works great.
Went in looking to get information/purchase a replacement part for my GM vehicle. After get passed off 3 times with the explanation of you need to talk to them. The gentleman that I ended up talking to, couldnt be troubled to stand up, or speak up, and his first words were I wont be much help, even though he was manning the parts desk. Wouldnt recomend comming here for service, parts, or cars.
This is the third vehicle that we have bought from Skye and he has been great to work with every time. Ben at the Hyundai side is great. Make sure you see him! But they are there to make money so keep that in mind. Every question I had was answered and overall it was a great experience.
Right as I walked into the door, I was warmly welcomed by salesperson Derek Mulvey, who immediately offered to help my find the type of vehicle I was looking for. I gave him a list of what I was looking for, and he showed me what was on the lot. He told me to come back on a later date, and he would have the vehicles cleaned for me to look at better (as they were covered in snow the day I came in). Overall my experience at Elhart was a 5/5 and I would recommend this dealership to anyone in search of a new or preowned vehicle.

Company blatently lies to its customers just to make a sale.OVERALL, I will say that the buying experience and the flow of it was pretty smooth and overall a great experience which is why they get a 2nd star ( since removed said star for being caught up in other lies listed below).... HOWEVER...... I purchased the Zurich package which is a protection of your exterior clearcoat, seats and floors... This package is not exactly cheap, but I figured I was buying a newer truck, why not keep it super nice so I can own it for a long time, right? Apparently I was wrong. What they told me I was buying and what I am covered for and what I actually bought and am covered for are 2 completely different things.All in all, if I was told what the actual coverage was...this would not have been purchased and they know it. They straight up lie to you to make it sound like such a great deal and hassle free process to not worry for 7 years. Let me tell you. Its not hassle free...its actually ALL hassle. I would not trust Elhart GMC in Holland MI if my life depended on it and you shouldnt either.I dont believe this is an issue on ZURICHs end, I think this all stems from Elhart GMC in Holland 100%. They know it as well since they havent replied to any of my emails in the last 2 weeks. Not once has the manager of sales responded or been in contact with me. My only contact was Cody Vandam who handles the Zurich claims. (who works for Elhart, not Zurich) Cody also told me that he called Zurich, which after calling Zurich myself... He did not. He just straight up lied to me saying that he did to make himself look like he went above and beyond.I have a longer review you can view on other sites.

I had an appointment scheduled there today at 3:30. They had ordered the part for me last week and I scheduled an appointment for today August 31st. I need my car repaired as I am going out of town on Friday. They got ahold of me at 2:30 today to tell me they cannot get my car in today, because they are too busy and backed up. I cannot go there tomorrow because of a work conflict and I am leaving Friday. They have no loaners cars available and didnt give me any solution. Just cannot do it. I planned on purchasing my next new car from them but needless to say I wont. I wont be using there services again. I have since found someone in town to take my car before my trip.

I would first like to say that this is a review for the service department.My wife called to make an appointment for my car because the engine light keeps coming on and when it starts up it runs like crap. When she talked to whoever it was (wish I had a name), he talked to her like she didnt know what she was talking about.I brought the car in to be looked at on a Friday at 8am. I received a phone call Saturday morning saying that they couldnt find a problem and the car ran fine. Do they think I cant see a check engine light? (which came on again as soon as I got the car home...I even took a pic of it...maybe theyll believe me now ;) They also said that the car ran fine.....when you get into the drivers seat of a 2011 and it sputters when you first start it...something is wrong...but apparently the service people at Elhart think it is normal. My 2003 Ford F250 runs better when it starts up and its a diesel. Also, when we checked the service paper, it said that they vacuumed the driver and passenger side floorboards (a 5.95 value), but they didnt...they only vacuumed the drivers side. So, we are going to find a different service garage to go to.
