We were attracted by the decor of The Roost Outpost and it looks really artsy & cozy. They sell not only coffee & pastries but also clothing & some cool stuff.We would like to purchase a bag of coffee bean which they used in store, so we asked the staff for help. However, the staff didn’t focus on her work since she was playing with her pet (or might be a customer’s). We ended up buying nothing since the conversation with the staff wasnt pleasant and we felt disrespectful.

Cool hip coffee shop with chill Williamsburg vibes, good coffee and pastry to snack on. Loved that they got vintage Motorcycle staying inside the store - big fan. They also got outside seating area .land inside couches. Prices are normal and staff guys are cool. Highly recommend

Absolutely amazing service at this place. Fresh, strong coffee brewed on the spot, and the seating arrangements is great. You dont sit near anyone, and the view outside is perfect. Rustic yet urban ambience, and eclectic music variety plays as well. Definitely recommended.

Best cup of coffee I’ve ever had made by Rafiella, I had a complicated request for a sweet yet not too sweet coffee and she made a white chocolate macadamia latte with smoked cinnamon and it was better than anything I could’ve asked for and any cup of coffee I’ve ever had. Another gentleman named Gary was pleasant to speak with. I’m from Brooklyn New York, anytime I’m in the Hoboken area I will make sure to stop here to get my coffee and you’d be wise to do the same! Thanks again to both of these folks for making my day with a drink!

I visited this place for the first time. The coffee was good, but I was very disappointed by a staffs attitude. When we entered the store, he never said Hi or anything, even though I said Hi.Surprisingly, when we entered here, we were the only customers.

One of the best cappuccinos Ive had, but the staff was not super friendly. They were talking to each other the whole time about topics that were not entirely work-place friendly and started ringing me up before I could order what else I wanted.

4 stars cuz they dont have a restroom, everything else is great! They have healthy lattes such as turmeric latte etc. Pets are allowed :)

This place is awesome. Theres lots of unique seating and its pretty empty in the afternoons / evenings. The coffee is great. Theres normal coffee and some unique fruity / matcha drinks. The beverages are LIT.Great place to stop in and work for a little while or relax after a tough day of work in Midtown. Service is friendly and the vibe is a mix between a Brooklyn coffee shop and a ski lodge.Close to the Path and pretty much everything else in Hoboken. Great location, great spot, great coffee.

Finally got to try the espresso tonic on the menu - which I’ve never seen anywhere else in Hoboken. Definitely recommend to take or to go, for a quick refresher to your day.

I discovered this coffee shop a few years ago. Whenever I visit the area I stop in (Im from Michigan). The atmosphere is inviting and warm. Not a lot of fuss. I stopped in yesterday and ordered a mocha. It was the best mocha Ive ever had! Very smooth and delicious. Not over powering, just smooth. Cant wait for my next visit. 🙂

Came here on a whim as I was walking by while visiting this town. I saw a sign along with a advertisement in the window for nitro cold brew. I always stop for a nitro. Got a large and although it didn’t taste as strong as a nitro brew, it was still tasty and made me smile. Good little coffee shack here.

Cool environment, very clean and chic but the $5 nitros were extremely watered down.

Nice atmosphere and free wifi. Even though there are only uncomfortable high chairs there were a few people on laptops. One couch available. No restroom! Its more of a hybrid store / cafe. Small selection of pastries. Latte was average. Friendly staff.

Really close to the waterfront, this small Outpost serves really good drinks and even has clothes and accessories for sale. The Iced Chai Latte here is incredible, probably better than Starbucks. Make sure to make time to go to this place because depending on the time of day, you might be waiting a bit before getting your drink as theres normally just one person preparing drinks.

These guys know coffee. The space is great and the staff give great, chill vibes.Coffee should not be burnt, overroasted and reduced to solid charcoal which is what a lot of ... corporate coffee companies do (wont name names). Their coffee is always well roasted, tangy, with a smooth after effect. Had several pleasant chats with the staff. Theyre cool (and Im introverted).Had their almond croissants here as well. They were yummy.

I LOVE this coffee shop. It’s spacious and looks nice inside. The coffee is fantastic. I have a big sweet tooth and every other place I go to I have to order light and sweet, but here without adding any sugar it’s perfect how they make it and the drink temp is perfect to drink right away. Worth the $

Rosie was wonderfully helpful, and the drinks my wife and I ordered were very well made. Im not from the area, so now Im honestly a little salty I cant come more frequently.

Solid place with cool offerings! Sometimes, they arent actually open at 7 am or even by 7:10 during the week which throws off my morning, and I really dont think shops should charge 75 cents for vegan milk as the milk alternatives are comparable in price to cow milk for the store itself.

Changing my previous review....they added more sitting space! tall bar area thats more comfortable...kudos to the owner. also they have sugar in the raw simple syrup which I havent seen before.

I love this place! Its super unique compared to other cafes nearby, the Nitro is addicting and theres so much to look at whenever I walk in...its more than just getting my caffeine fix, its an experience. The staff is super nice too. My #1 coffee choice on my way to path train! 💜

Stumbled across this place on my way to work the other day and stopped in and was pleasantly greeted. The barista recommended a macadamia milk latte and even let try the milk before hand. It was Delicious! The environment is very welcoming and they sell really cool things like bath salts, homemade soaps, and surfboards. So happy I found an authentic coffee shop in Hoboken! Would highly recommend.

The coffee beans are relatively cheap but never great - beans I get from Intelligencia or Tobys Estate blow them out of the water regularly. Moreover, every time I go, I ask when the beans were roasted (its never written on the bag) and the answer is always yesterday. Every single time. Whos gonna believe them? I dont bother with this joint and its put-on hipster authenticity anymore.

Cool atmosphere but terrible staff. Stuck up and pretentious baristas that make mediocre coffee. They spoke openly about how they hated being there and treated customers like we were ruining their day by showing up for coffee.

I didn’t like this place. We went for a run and decided to stop by to get a coffee. We only had a credit card, no cash. The barista was rude about it and he also wrongly charged the other customer in front of us. It wasn’t a rush hour or end of the day, i didn’t understand why he was giving us attitude. And the coffee wasn’t even good! 😅It was warm, not hot enough. I don’t think I’m gonna come this place again since there are lots of other good coffee shops in Hoboken.

The sign outside says “Damn Good Coffee”, and that’s true...but it also has damn good pastries, cool clothing, and a great vibe.

The coffee is okay here, but the service isn’t great. The Barista was more concerned with surfing the internet than helping the customers and their attitude wasn’t great either. The store is also rather cold, which isn’t enjoyable on these cold winter days. I would not recommend this place especially given the many options we have in Hoboken as you can get better coffee and friendly staff somewhere else.
