Ive been going here for years. They always get the job done, from tire repair to bigger jobs. Good people, good prices. The place is small, and thats good if you want great personal service.
I had to get an emergency patch done on one of my tires. I brought the car in around the end of the day about 90 minutes before they closed and they went of their way to accommodate me. In less than an hour, my tire was patched, re-installed, donut back in the trunk, all pressure checked and updated on the other tires. And it only cost me 16 bucks and a nice tip for their great work. Highly recommend! Thanks guys for making my day easier!-Chris G.
Absolutely recommend. They fixed a patch in one tire that left it completely flat. Did it same day for an absurdly reasonable price. Thanks Rene!
I’m really disappointed, as I have been bringing my car here for over 6 years and last week had a terrible experience. Brought my car in on a Monday night for an issue, he finally gets a chance to look at it on Thursday and tells me it’s the brakes. The brakes have nothing to do with the issue, so I stated again the original issue and he said he will look at it.Friday, my boyfriend went to get the car and stated the issue was fixed. The issue was FAR from being fixed. I’m not even sure they looked at the car period. These are pictures of my tires - how do you not see this if you rebalanced the wheels!?!Never going there again.
My tire was Low and Had It fixed there. On the following morning the tire was flat, I came back asking for them to re-do the service or explain what happened. Manager was very rude said it was past work hours and could not help me. I could see that all employees were still in store doing other things and he didn’t even tried to apologize for the service help me find another place, etc. Simply carried on with the same people who had “fixed” my tire in the previous day. Terrible service !!!!!!! Grumpy and unprofessional. Not coming back! Hoboken deserves better.
Usually I get gas from Sunoco out on Hempstead Long Island but I was at work and needed to stop to get gas before a trip. I used my Discover card and the pump said see cashier right after I get a message from discover asking me to confirm the purchase. So I do and the guy pumping the gas says I can’t use the card again if it doesn’t go the first time not to do it again... so i ask to see a manager and spoke to a guy named meer I tried to explain to him the situation and he didn’t want to hear it he was just dismissive and didn’t care so I took my service to speed way where I had the same problem but the manager was way more understanding and took my card inside and completed the transaction
I lived at NJ/NYC for YEARS, and, this was the ONLY place that worked on my car. Fair prices, yet, EXCEPTIONAL-QUALITY-WORK. Meers; honest, reliable, timely. You will find no place better to take your vehicle.
I was panicked that I had a flat tire cause I had been having issues with the same tire. I got to this station like an hour before it closed. They took off the tire and searched for a hole etc but found nothing. They then put air in all of my tires including that one, AND then did not even charge me! It was the nicest thing that had happened to me in a while from a mechanic! I highly recommend them!
Bad customer service. Too long to service people.
Highly recommend this place!! I was visiting Hoboken when I had car problems and wasn’t sure where to take my car. I am very happy I chose Willow Sunoco. The owner is friendly and accommodating. Fast service for a fair price.
Just had a flat, and took it to these guys to fix, telling them that it probably needs a new tire. So they could have taken me for a lot of money, instead, $15 to fix the tire and all was good.I also used them a year ago for not only fixing a flat, but somewhere else had cross-thread a nut on the wheel, that and the flat were fixed for $20. Good, honest people.
Fast, really nice, honest mechanics. Highly recommend!
I live locally and dropped my car off here the other day with a coolant leak issue because I couldnt really get it anywhere else further without the engine overheating. They took the car right away at 8PM on a weekday and by the next day they called me with the estimate and even found some other unrelated issues. I ended up bringing the car to a shop Ive used before (because it specializes in German cars), but the guys at Willow Sunoco were nice enough to not charge me for the inspection. I will definitely come here in the future, theyve earned my respect.
Forget your dealer, this is the best car repair service in Jersey City. Whatever they fix, stays fixed, always for a reasonable price. The only hitch is the car-less half of of your journey, since youll be at the north end of Hoboken where there is no train. If you dont want to walk the 20 blocks back to the PATH, plan on waiting for a bus -- or just call Lyft.
Good, solid, old school neighborhood shop. You can tell they take pride in their service and reputation. Also they are very accommodating when it comes to drop off service.
Great 24 hrs gas station with reasonably-priced premium gas and great service!!
Overall good work, but they quoted me at a price, then when I picked up the car it was 20% higher than the quote. No extra work was needed, the invoice just had several random line items that increased the price.
Ended up here after a horrible experience at the 14th and Jersey City ave in Jersey City Sunoco. Got a flat tire on my way into Hoboken. Jersey City Sunoco? Owner screamed at me for being on her private property. Willow Sunoco? Kind, professional service. Checked my tire immediately despite being very busy. Checked all tire pressures with a SMILE! WOW what a difference a few miles makes!!
World is short of honest people...this guy is truly honest person! AND GREAT MECHANIC!
I needed help filling a tire with air (with my small children in the car) and they helped me without giving me a hard time. Very kind
Its good price so so a little high
Very polite i always go and get my gas there
Fair prices, honest assesment and fast. Already knew I needed two rear wheel bearings and front miiight he needed and had just redone the brakes. When I brought it in, pretended that I knew nothing about cars. After they looked at it, they said two rear bearings needed front was going. I asked what about the brakes? They said definately NOT needed. HONEST! Will be going back to them for sure.
Great care, good service, done well before I needed it done
Small gas station but the workers here are nice and fast
Gas up
Cheaper prices than the typical Sunoco and good service.
Very pleased with the service at this place, and I rarely if ever enter reviews.
I would strongly caution anyone from bringing their vehicle to Willow Sunoco given my terrible recent experience. Everything was working perfectly on my late model Mercedes (with less than 70K miles) until I brought the vehicle in for a simple oil change. When I got the car back, a strange noise from the engine compartment was immediately noticeable so I told the manager that something was not right. They agreed that the sound was not there before, said that it might be the oil filter, and asked to keep the car another day to look at it further. The weekend actually went by and only after I called a few times did they finally tell me that the compressor, a/c belt, pulleys and multiple other items needed to be replaced for over $1,500. Of course, I thought this was highly suspect - the car had nothing wrong with it before but somehow 4 days in the possession of Willow Sunoco, it was rendered completely undrivable. They claimed it was normal wear and refused to do anything about it so unless I was willing to pay their fee, I would be forced to tow the vehicle to another shop to get a second opinion (which I ended up doing). The other shop (a Midas) immediately said that it looked like outside damage and that the compressor seemed to have been tampered with (they put that in writing). I also took pictures and sent them to a few Ask a Mechanic websites online which responded that they agreed with Midas assessment.I have the written opinions of several mechanics documented, EZPass statements proving the car drove well and at high speeds before the oil change, and multiple witnesses who can testify that the car did not have any strange noises (or other problems) before taking it to Willow Sunoco. Unfortunately, Willow Sunoco is either incompetent or fraudulent - whichever the case, they certainly do not stand by their work and could be preying on unwitting Hoboken residents (who are either not mechanically inclined or just dont have the time to deal with these kinds of issues).Unfortunately for me, my only recourse appears to be small claims court at this point which is time consuming and costly if a lawyer and/or time off work is needed. I sincerely hope this review will help spare someone else the pain that I am going through - save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else!
Friendly, helpful staff.
These guys are crooked. I brought my car in to fix a noise in my muffler, but it turned into a regular Rossen Reports situation. They fixed the initial muffler issue, but when I picked up the car it was suddenly making a different noise, and dragging in the front driver-side wheel-- a problem that was not there at all before I brought it in. When my wife brings it back to get them to take a look at it, they say the car needs over $3000 of additional repairs that it somehow didnt need previously.Total scam.
Nice and guarranty service shop
Very professional and responsible!
A smaller gas station, but if you must use Sunoco gas in your car, this is your only option unless you drive to the area around the Holland Tunnel.
Good 👍
Trustworthy Vehicle Repairs
