I came in last year February 2020 to have new brakes put in. I left not feeling 💯 confident about the job because my brakes where still squeaky and squishy.I’m not a complainer so I tried to humble myself and deal with it after the Midas tech said that it’s normal.This year, I said I really should have it checked again. I don’t drive a lot so there is no reason that I should feel like the brakes aren’t right.I took them back to the same Midas which I learned is under new management.They replaced my brake hoses and the car still didn’t feel right. These guys did absolutely everything to make sure I felt good about my driving experience.I was relocating to Florida and I really needed these brakes to be in excellent condition.RobRusselPatrickMatthew . This place was starting to go down hill but recently hired a new manager. The guy is awesome, and the reason Midas is my go to place for minor to big repairs to my vehicles.

The mechanic who worked on our car was so bad he messed up the turbo in our car. We had to take it to another repair shop to find out what was wrong with our car. Many dollars later the mechanic was fired for poor workmanship on our car plus other cars. Midas offered us two free oil changes. If they couldnt work on our EOS, they should have told us. BAD! BAD!! BAD!!! Shame on you Midas!

Nice customer service very respectful nice people to do business with.They did a fantastic job on my brake pads and rotors and fast pace with oil changes. If you need any work done on your car I highly recommend Midas.

Quickest and most convenient oil change I could have asked for.I’ve was so thrilled with my experience the first time choosing Midas for an oil change that i knew exactly where I’d be going back to for the rest.The manager Matt made sure I felt I could stop by anytime and he’d help me with any of my vehicle maintenance or concerns.

Had a flat tire. Came in and bought tire repair services. Next day flat again. Come back in and they tell me the tire was actually destroyed. I said so why did I buy the tire repair? They said theyd deduct the cost if I bought a new tire from them. I dont need Midas for tires I have a solid place to buy them I just wanted a quick repair..Also came in for an oil leak. They couldnt determine the location of leak so they rescheduled me in a week after using dyed oil. Came in for my appointment later that week and kept me waiting over an hour. Whats the point of having an appointment then ???

I didnt want to leave a star because they dont deserve it!! DO NOT!! I REPEAT DO NOT!! TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS PLACE!! They had our car for almost a month. It went it for ONE thing but they ended up causing more issues. They didnt keep us informed of the status of our vehicle being fixed my husband and I had to keep on calling. A battery and alternator was installed without us giving them the ok. I dont know why our warranty company deals with this location. Picked up our vehicle and noticed something else is wrong with it while driving it!! Our vehicle was perfectly fine now they have SCREWED our car up!!

Slow and charged me for things I didnt need. NEVER even fixed my car . Do NOT take your car here!

Ended up there with my fordWhich they did a free estimate on and it was leaking differential leaking .they were nice to let me leave it in their lot

Ive taken my cars here for a few years now and always had a great experience. The manager Tony goes above and beyond to make sure everything is taken care of, even better than when Ive taken my new car to the dealership. At this Midas I have had many oil changes, brakes done, muffler repairs and today a new tire and never had a single problem after they have worked on my cars. I like feeling safe after my car has been repaired, and not worried that they messed something up like I had at another nearby auto shop. Quality work and reasonable prices. Thank you guys!

One of the employees wrote up a fake invoice an overcharged me so he can fill his pockets. Im oweded like 150$ and they gave me 2 oil changes. They fired the employee, well what about my money.

Midas is the only place I will go for my car, they are very knowledgeable and trustworthy. When they change your oil they will also check your car and give you maintenance suggestions. They do this in a way that is not pushy but, informative. I originally went there because I recognized the name but, I stayed because of the quality of people and work.

My friend took his car there general maintenenance and was told he needed brakes that would cost $900.00. He took his car to his mechanic and found out he did not need brakes at all. Shame on you midas for your dishonesty. no one should take their car there.

I went in because of a check engine light. Glad I did, my car ended up needing more than expected. Really friendly and knowledgeable manager Matt Sippel and staff. I will most definitely be returning to this particular location. As they were able to find my cars issue in a timely manner. As well as let me know what my car would soon be needing. So I could make an appointment for that before winter rolls in. Thank you!

I took my Durango in to get the brake line done. They first quoted $330 but the next day call and raised it up to $400. Then they call and say the fittings are stuck in the calipers and they need to get changed. So $400 turns to $1000. I go to pick it up the next day and the car wont stay on, a problem i never had before. They quickly diagnosed it as the fuel pump so now i have to pay $650 for a new one. The next day when i pick it up it still has the same problem. Now it sits in the shop for 2 days till they call and say its because of bad gasoline, but its a work car and gas doesnt sit in it to long to go bad. The next day they call and said they drained the tank and put new in. So i go to pick it up to find they drained over a quarter tank of my gasoline and gave me enough to die in the middle of 37th ave where i had to push it the rest of the way to the gas station literally across the street. It cost me $1800 to experience this unprofessional service that still lead me to and unnecessary situation.

Worst experience!! First off unprofessional! While sitting waiting watched them take advantage of people and gossip, my tires for rotation i actually marked and they magically were not moved, they left grease marks of a hand print on my glove box, i WAS going to buy a tire and requested the high performance one on website yet was told it does not exist, they were far from fragile, far professional, and staying FAR away from this place. Dont buy a vouchure from goupon on oil either they wont accept that either. Waste of time money and patience

I came in with some issues on my 09 Tahoe, my only transportation to and from work. Struggling with the effects of the economy from the shut downs. Jessie the manager took great pride in his work, and the technicians working on my vehicle were nothing less than professional. Highly recommend this place for vehicle repairs, and they will definitely have my business in the future. Kudos to running a 5 star branch!

Zero Stars, pulled in and asked for a oil change. Asked if I had an appointment. No I didnt. Cant get you in today.There were 4 mechanics in the shop, 2 on their phones, 1 sitting and one dude standing.1 car being attended to by the 5th.I went across the street to another shop and they put me in.I waited 10 minutes before posting this as I watched across the street and have yet to see a vehicle pulled into the shop.The first negative review Ive ever given. Some havent been 5 star reviews but this place deserves a big fat zero when it comes to stars.Poor business ethics if you asked me.All American Tire from here on out.

I had an appointment for 1:00, got there ten minutes early and was told that there was an hour wait. So I cancelled everything thing else I had to do to wait the hour. At 3:20 I went back in to check and see why my car was still sitting where I parked it. One customer told me that the service technician was looking for me which I don’t understand why. He had my keys and my car was parked outside, which was not touched because I was sitting in it, so I know. The customer, who had come in after me with a 2:00 appointment, had already seen her car pulled in to be serviced. When I inquired about what was going on all I got was some transcript of an apology and a statement about people leave instead of waiting. Where was I gone to when they had my keys. Such a horrible waste of my time and still no oil change so now I’ll have to wait somewhere else.

Spoke to Jessie on the phone on Wednesday and made an appointment for Saturday. During the whole service Jessie was friendly and professional! The guys did an awesome job on my car as well as being honest about what was going on with my Highlander.

I went onto this midas to have a routine pil change brakes and roaters. The store manager Jessoe was so helpful. He explained how long my oil change and brakes would take. Also he was quiet precise when showing me the itemized bill for the work on my vehicle. His crew was very fast effocent and respectful. They all were very knowledgeable. I would recommend jessie and his team to all of my family members and friends.

I went for an oil change. Ended up doing a brake flush as well. All taking over two hours. There is no way it should have been that long. Im not going there again, thats for sure. Thats not to mention the added stuff they tried to sell me.

I was gonna make this my shop for oil change and what ever my cars needed but I do a appointment for a Monday and then thay tell me we are full we cant do it but tomorrow you can come in then they call and tell me not tomorrow until Wednesday I can’t believe it really bad experience! 😕😡

A hidden gem amongst the auto repair places in the area. Its unfortunate most drive right by this place and never notice it. This Midas combines low prices, excellent mechanic know how, with great customer service. They were able to help solve an issue without any unneeded repairs or extra charges. Plus they dont charge a diagnostics fee to locate the issue. If you havent gone here for repairs with your vehicle then youre really missing out.

The management and techs were very friendly and knowledgeable. They addressed my complaints quickly and were thorough. The price was a few more dollars than other quotes i heard but the service was VERY well worth it. Since then i have sent my mom, wife, and daughter to Midas.

Update-Midas in Hobart WAS the only repair shop I would ever take my cars to. They have made updates to their building, as well as their staff. Tony isnt there anymore and it seems like they try to upsell you for items you dont need. I had an oil change on my work van that took over an hour while the mechanics were checking their phones and walking around.I dropped my wifes car on a Saturday morning so they could replace a tie rod and do an alignment. The guy working that morning at the counter was completely lost. I told them I needed the car back ny days end and was told that wouldnt be a problem.I was called just before closing time that the part they had wouldnt fit and it would be ready Monday morning. Monday late morning they called and said they couldnt get the part to fit and to pick up the car. Tuesday afternoon my wife and son were driving to Merrillville when her hybrid car went completely dead. We had it towed to the dealer. Luckily the parts that were fried were covered under the Hyundai 10 year/100,000 mile warranty, as that part alone wouldve cost me $2,700. The dealer said that the only way this part would have gone bad is if it had been jumped incorrectly. We are guessing that the car was left on while it was in hybrid mode and was then jump started improperly and fried the relay switch. I will not return or recommend this shop to anyone.‐-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------Midas in Hobart is the only repair shop I will take my vehicles to. Tony is very knowledgeable and helpful, the mechanics are excellent and have never had an issue. They are reasonably priced and honest.

I called about half hour before they closed, and I was in and out within 15 minutes. Most people make you feel rushed when you come right before close but they didnt. Ill be making this one my go to from now on.

The first visit took 2 hours for an oil change and the second visit almost cost me my life!4 of my lug nuts broke off after my tire rotation and they claimed no fault! Ill never return and tell everyone I know NOT to go to them!

So Im seeing mostly that the good comments are by the non photo & recently added profiles. The bad comments mostly have photos and are older accounts so either there is some sneaky positive comment spamming going on by the company is what it appears to be. So a Im going to take my car in and see what they say about it. Fortunately the company brand of my car has previously inspected it and we shall see what they have to say tomorrow. Ill post all info tomorrow and see how much inflamtion there is or if they actually know their stuff

I am a 72 year old, disabled USAF veteran. I am pretty picky about where I do business. I look for individuals that are committed to giving the best service they can. I was very impressed with Tony the manager. He was knowledgeable and listened to my concerns about my car...gave honest in-depth answers. The garage crew were dilligent and Mike he personally worked on my car, did an exceptional job. I have additional work needed, and will most certainly be back for those repairs. After 12 years AF, I look for responsible people who KNIW what they are doing. I took some cards topass out at Dam Benjamin... I hear other Vets looking for a reasonable and dependable place. I will recommend Tony and his team. The only thing this Midas doesnt have is a Vetereans discount. That would make them perfect.

I came in with a gas leak I really couldn’t afford to fix and Kyle and his shop crew (joe worked in my car I believe) made sure the car was safe to drive and made sure to ask my budget before doing anything he was very accommodating probably more than he should’ve been I’m sure he didn’t make any money off of my repairs, would definitely come back for the caring staff if nothing else but making sure me and my kids were safe
