I dreaded going to a dealer to buy a used car. I was pleasantly surprised. I went to Herb Chambers Lexus in Hingham and they were great. Prompt, polite, no pressure, no haggling and great service. My salesman Sami was very nice and helpful answered all my questions and kept me well informed. I hope to keep this car a long time. If I need anything regarding a car this one or the next would not hesitate to return.

Tom the Service Representative was very helpful. He kept me informed about the status of my vehicle. It was serviced quickly and surprisingly washed very well! My car had a flat tire and I brought it to Lexus to replace the tire. The dealership in Hingham is by far one of the best. They are always professional and courteous.

Lexus of Hingham is always a pleasant experience. The Service Department always gets me in on time or early and car is ready when they tell me it will be ready. The only time that is not true is when a problem is found by their Technician. They explain the issue in depth and give me a price and what the additional time will be to complete the repair.Lexus of Hingham has my complete confidence. Even though my Lexus is out of warranty I will only take it to them for all maintenance and repairs.It’s a pleasure doing business with them.

Thought I would be serviced better, however all they care about is you paying. Place on hold for 20 mins and being transferred 6 times then to have a service advisor pick up and hangs up on me.What a joke.

Tom McCafferty (my Service Advisor) is always excellent and pays attention to details and gets me out of there in a prompt and professional manner.I have been introduced to the Service manager (James B) and the General Manager (Patrick) and they are also great and make sure that my service and sales make me happy and comfortable.Been working with Lexus for over 20 years and cant even remember a complaint I ever had there. The service waiting area used to be a pleasant experience and a cut above other dealerships, but now seems to be an afterthought for clients... no coffee creamers... no snacks... and the lids were too big for the coffee cups. Not up to Lexus standards. The associate, Kevin, was good though - professional, friendly, and clear -- and I suppose thats the more important thing.

Herb Chambers of Lexus IS a great place to buy a car. Their service is top notch. You can easily set a time online to get your service done and have rental cars available when needed. They treat you fairly and the sales team is quick and effective, providing you with all the options you need to meet your desired budget. I really appreciate how they pay attention to every detail.

The valet driver was very nice. The low key battery issue was not resolved. I did as suggested and brought the spare key into the car in addition to the key with the newly replaced battery. There was no change. The maintenance screen for tire rotation was still present. Typically, that has been removed. Finally, I expected, at minimum, a car wash and possibly cleaning the driver foot mat. These were not done. That really surprised me.

I had the best experience buying a used car and working with Michael S. I am fairly young and new to the car process and they made everything simple and easy. Wonderful experience at Herb Chamber Lexus in Hingham. Went for a normal oil change but was also reminded of recall replacements and brake pad replacements. No charges for the recall replacements! Thomas McCafferty who was my service advisor that day was amazing!

On Tuesday evening Tom McCafferty managed to get me on the schedule for having my car serviced on Wednesday morning as there was some rattling heard under the car and I had a slow leak in one of my tires. Both were repaired while I waited and they also replaced a front light that was no longer working. (I had no idea about that). And, since I was going to be doing some traveling, he recognized I needed a sticker within the month so they got that done for me as well. Very poor dealer follow-up with the customer. I paid cash for a 2022 LEXUS RX-350 and couldn’t get the dealer to return my calls to explain features for over a week. Made a visit in person and was given incorrect information by one sales rep. Once they get your money, you’re a stranger.

When entering service area, things were a bit disjointed and delayed. The service manager was very pleasant and accommodating. They did have a coffee canister and small water bottles. However, there was no cream or creamer for the coffee and the staff simply said they were out of it. No snacks etc.. for folks as they wait. Now, one of the reasons I bought a higher end Lexus Is the fact that I was told the Lexus owner experience was a superior one. This was not obvious to me this day. It didn’t even hold up to my previous Toyota dealership’s service experience! If it were not for the excellent service manager. I would probably go elsewhere next time.

After I decide what car I want to buy, I choose the dealer because I expect to bring my car in for service. Well have a long relationship long after I leave the showroom. My past experiences have always been positive. Today I brought my car in for standard service and inspection. The result was that I needed new rotors and pads on both my front and rear brakes and if they performed an inspection they would have to issue a rejection due to the brakes. I have had no issues with my brakes and at 36k miles I likely need new pads, rotors seem extreme and I am not comfortable they removed all wheels and inspected each rotor in the short time they had the car. I declined the work and inspection. When I returned to pick up the car shortly after the call, my service agent told me they they inspected and passed my vehicle despite the brakes.While waiting for the car to return from their car wash, she asked me what color my car was and a few minutes later asked if my car was the new model 2016. As my service agent communicating over $1500 worth of mechanical concerns, I would hope she knew which car was mine.Lastly, I finally got my car, opened the door and found a large piece of black plastic on the passenger seat. When I asked what it was, I was told by the runner, “I don’t know”. He got a different service agent to look at it and he determined it was the shelf from the glove compartment. He tried to reinstall it but had to get a third to lock it in place correctly. Shouldn’t this have been put back before delivering the car back to me?Very disappointing and unexpected. My prior service agents and experiences were great.

The first time I went to Lexus Hingham, the service associate was very friendly and attentive. But the second and most recent time I went, I dropped off my car to be serviced, was told to file an insurance claim for damage, and then I never heard from the service agent again! Apparently he went on vacation and no one contacted me about my vehicle ever again and that was over 2 weeks ago! I’m not sure how they just let me slip through the cracks, but how disappointing! When the adjuster was going to Lexus to do the estimate, he was told multiple times that my car wasn’t there… which was very confusing. Eventually they “found” my car. It is now 16 days later, and I have yet to hear from anyone from Lexus.

I was very happy with the quick and professional service and particularly impressed by how pleasant my service consultant Tom Cafferty was. The facility was immaculate and very comfortable. I will not hesitate to use this dealership for all my future service needs.

The one star off is, i had to get the inspection sticker on my own, even after paying them to do it and after submitting paperwork to the salesman at least 2 or 3 times they still havent refunded it. Never had that happen with another dealership, never mind a luxury one at that
