I was taken in here and have to confess as a Philistine of the highest high brow shopping order I was completely ignorant and oblivious.I’ve never been to Harrods and I’ve no desire to go, but it looked to me like I’d been invited round for a buffet at Harrods house on Christmas evening and their quirky cousin was there prancing about, being all flamboyant and chipper in Sharpy contrast to the older family members stiff upper lip.It’s basically the Quentin Crisp of posh shopping. I thoroughly enjoyed the theatre of it all, walking around and taking it in but I cannot, in good conscience give anywhere more than 3* when I have observed with my own eyes an Ice bucket that’s basically a padded waste paper bin (ok it was a champagne bucket, but come on) costing over £2000.00

Beautiful historic store, shame its currently covered in scaffolding but nice to see theyve gone to the effort of printing an image on the sheets covering it!! Amazing building inside, lots of timber and carvings. Lighting didnt do much for me but the designer-ware was stunning, if slightly out of my price range 😉

All time favourite shop selling high end products but also more quirky designs. Visited the cafe on floor 2, had a lovely scone and coffees. Loved the extensive Christmas shop and a wander around their haberdashery is always the ultimate treat. Gorgeous building too, full of history

It is an okay place. The architecture, interior design, and detailing are certainly worth the visit. As far as a shopping experience goes - nothing really to rave about. The layout of the shop can be a bit clearer. You cannot really see the whole floor, which I fully understand that it is due to the historic nature of the building, whereas with modern shopping centres you can easily see all sections of the store due to the open-plan.

This quirky old fashioned outlet manages to feel like it belongs to a bygone mock Tudor era whilst stocking a diverse, new and interesting range of items to purchase. Not cheap, but always worth a visit, if for no other reason than to hear the creaking floorboards as you browse about the place me thinks.

Always good in Liberties. A fine selection of goods on offer, not found in many other shops, certainly outside London City centre. You need deep pockets though.

Perfect step out of the mayhem of Oxford Street. A wonderful bazaar of all sorts of goodies for the home, quality clothing and a beauty section selling an assortment of companies wares. A must trip is the Christmas section. Go!

My wife buys a Liberties Christmas bauble every year and now that we have moved to the north east the tradition was in jeopardy. Fortunately we were able to make it down and the experience was just as she remembered it. There was a good selection of baubles at a good price. We did not leave disappointed.

Every September I take my fiancees Nan to Libertys so that she can add to her Christmas Decorations. It never disappoints. This year we all went together and it was a wonderful experience. You cant beat the sound of sleigh bells when outside its 18c

Amazing building and a one-of-a-kind store. But staff not very helpful.

I visited with my mother while on a weeks holiday in London. We were so looking forward to visiting the Liberty shop, having been avid fans of liberty print fabrics for sewing projects for years. Well, what a dreadful disappointment. The staff in the perfume area were so rude to my lovely mother when she asked a couple of questions; they were haughty, condescending and plain mean, which was very wrong. Someone behind the counter in the vintage section was very rude to me when I politely asked if I could take a photo, as well as watching us both like a hawk throughout our perusal of the vintage items, for some inexplicable reason. This was all very hurtful and shocking. We both intended to buy something but were so put off that we didnt in the end. Upstairs in the fabric/haberdashery department things were better, with a friendly lady helping us with our browsing and fabric purchases. It wasnt enough to make up for the other treatment though, and we left the shop feeling confused, upset, and let down. Perhaps the staff were racist upon hearing our Irish accent? I just cant think of any other reason for the rudeness - we were friendly and polite and were not poorly dressed or anything. A terrible and very disappointing experience. I cant understand it. The only consolation was seeing the lovely fabrics and architecture.

Myself and sister visited on the 22nd chap IAN was so helpful on entry to liberty bought chocolate coin beautifuly wrapped up then the Christmas shop bought purple bauble with 2021 In gold lovely wrapped up then had a delicious cake and pot of tea to end the day out in the cafe.

One of the best department stores in London. Only just the building itself deserves a visit as its a listed building all made out of the wood of two ships. Fantastic displays and great products. Christmas shop is a must go if visiting over the festive period. Love it, 5 stars.

Yeah, unique store, but oh so pricey!!! Quite dark in places. No rail on part of wooden staircase!!! For me its OK for a browse, thats all.

Truly unique.We visited Libertys purely by accident on our way to another store. And Im so glad we went in!We were greeted by all staff members welcomingly ans we were also given the time to browse and peruse the stunning offering. I thoroughly recommend if youre looking for niche brands in luxury, VISIT LIBERTYS.

I have been on hold and hung up on for 3 days trying to get through to speak to someone about if they had a shoe in stock. So I didnt have to waste my whole day travelling up there and wasting money to get there. The customer service is appalling and I would definitely never go back . You have lost a very good customer. My money will b going else where x

A visit here is always an interesting experience. Not quite so pleasant these days with no evidence of social distancing. Nevertheless, this store has a wide range of upmarket (& not quite so upmarket!) goods, at upmarket prices. The fabric/haberdashery department is a joy to behold as is the interior of the building itself - worth a visit simply for that! Just don’t go near the ‘restaurant’ and your visit is sure to be a pleasant one.

Amazing historic department store now reopen (December 2020) given London’s Tier 2 lockdown status. A one way system is in place which you can tell particularly with the staircases but the store is as charming as ever and half of the fourth floor has been taken over by the Christmas shop! And while the hours say noon for Sunday the doors open at 11:30am.

Beautiful interior, nice variety of stuff, but wow the clothes are pricey.

I was a bit deceived with my last visit to Liberty; the liberty clothing collection was much less rich than in my previous visits. It was even worse with its stationery offer, they had tops 5 prints in only two kinds of notebooks.. which is not at all what it used to be. Of course the staff is as nice as always, the place is as beautiful as always, and the liberty motives are just.. amazing.

Worth coming here just to go to look at and stroke the beautiful fabrics.

Ive not been there on years but my friend wanted to look for nice stationary. Sadly although the quality is still great the stationary department is a lot smaller. Other than that its still an interesting store to wander around and the outside is still a great photo op with its Tudor beams

Like walking into an Aladdins cave full of nice shiny things.Lots of things to see on each floor, and very nice, polite friendly staff who are always there to give a helping hand. Lots of places to eat and drink throughout the store, whether it be for a quick coffee break, or lunch/dinner to finish off your day...

A beautiful building its situated in, a wonder just to walk around and through. Niche brands and exclusives that pull you in, boutique vibes which is more intimate than its competitors. Very touristy can get too crowded in such small spaces. Great place for interior pieces, nicely curated. One of my favourites in London in terms of department stores.

Gorgeous store. Very similar to Harrods. I prefer this store to other department stores of similar caliber and the prices are much more across the board, meaning that its more accessible.

Liberty of London is a MUST see when you are in London! The building itself transports you to another Era. The beauty of the building alone is spectacular. Beautiful store and great place to find and see brands not often seen on the London high street. The store is laid out well, but is small, so when busy can feel overwhelming. The perfume section is my favourite place to browse and the team there are always attentive and helpful.

Credit to Liberty London for their great service/packaging as always but Im more unhappy about the actual product. I bought Creed Aventus(batch code 21R01) from their website last week and the fragrance performs really bad. This is my second bottle of Aventus from Liberty, first one just finished and was bought back in 2018. Im now waiting on a response from an email sent to customer service a week ago to see if theyll offer an exchange/refund.

Its Liberties, its iconic. Go to the top floor and look at the antique pieces or the ground floor and try on hundreds of perfumes. Or somewhere between.

Just went to smell some fragrances i review them on Youtube. Great experience so many niche scents i was able to sniff. And they just leave you alone to get on. Not pushy like that big one on Oxford street. I shall visit again in a few weeks.

A very poor shopping experience. Completely ignored whilst standing at a counter in the jewellery and watches dept. After almost 10 minutes I went over to another counter where two members of staff were kicking back - I asked them if one of them could come and help us or were they confined to their counter? Apparently they were and so unprepared to wait any longer we left - Liberty missing out on a substantial sale as I was ready to buy a watch.On returning home it looks like I can buy the watch online if I want and get £50 off as a new customer. A small consolation to a bad shopping experience - but I would have thought with the high street going the way it is staff would be better trained to try and retain customers.

It kills me to give this wonderful shop only 3 stars. But I couldnt find fabric sheers. Any. All that fabric...but no sheers. Got some amazing ones in McCulloch and Willis...tut tut tut...cmon Liberties!

I hadnt been here since 2006. I didnt recognise the place. Its turned from an excellent department store into full blown tourist attractions with enormous gift shop. I visited on 31st August: the Xmas lights were up in some departments!

Have always loved Liberty but the two assistants that served me behaved like they were doing me a favour by shopping there yesterday. They were rude, and unhelpful. I knew what I wanted, so dashed in and dashed out.

What of Londons most iconic department stores. They have a pretty great menswear section downstairs. Premium brands, not so much streetwear but just really nice clothes. Recommend visit.

Liberty is a quaint little store. Great for good gifts, and for getting the latest designer trends. The interior is unique in the London high street retailers, very inviting. I particularly love the Christmas display. Also seems like their advent calendars are great, but I havent managed to get one yet. Highly recommended if youre ever in the Oxford Circus / Carnaby Street area.

Original Fashion, looks like Japanese kind of style and unique pieces from high brands. The largest collection of christmas tree decorations ive ever seen in one shop.

They have some amazing decor over Christmas. Although their products range is on a higher scale, they have a very unique set of brands and products.

A national and historic treasure! This store is worth visiting just for its rich history and the magnificent building which has been preserved so wonderfully through centuries.But the store itself has a lot to offer, although be prepared to pay handsomely. The store is perhaps mostly famous for its patterns and dyed fabrics, which are quite something. But there are clothes, perfume, interior design to be found here as well.It couldnt be located more conveniently, just off Regents Street, in the north west corner of soho.
