Best place buy paint, you can barrow the paint chart to perfectly match existing paint worked great. Was easy to match the color. The staff was very knowledgeable gave my measurements he calculated how much I needed.Thank you.

Went in today for some paint and rust inhibitor which is well outside my spectrum of knowledge. Was helped by “K” (Didn’t use his full name since posting online) He was very helpful and answered all my questions so I could properly paint my catchment tank and take care of my rusting issues.“K” was the only employee working in the store. There were several customers who came in while I was there. He was able to help the customers in a timely manner without rushing anyone.This was the first time I have gone to Sherwin Williams and I will be using this store form now on due to their knowledge and helpfulness compared to ACE Hardware or Home Depot. Might be a little more costly, but is well worth it due to getting help from someone like “K”.Thanks dude, I really appreciated your help.

Great experience. I was able to order over the phone and pick up when I needed. Just suggesting that they ask for ID from the person that actually picked up the paint who was not me.

RIPPED OFF by Sherwin-Willams....Beware...New home construction, took photos of the tiny house and gave square footage 600’ to salesman, they sold us 3 times the amount need.? 6 five gallon buckets to paint a tiny house... 2 five gallon buckets did the job. After being treated rudely at the HPM paint counter, I decided to go down the street to Sherman Williams, boy, am I glad I did! Everyone there went beyond and above to make sure I got exactly what I wanted, so friendly and helpful!Excellent service! The only place in Hilo to go for paint! Mahalo!

This place is where beginners to pros can go. If you want to go to a place where a person was hired and placed in a department and hope he they have they have knowledge. Then go to your local super store. But if you want someone with knowledge and passion. This is the place for you!

There appeared to be only 1 person in the store when I was there and she was not interested in helping me with what I needed. I only needed a quart of paint in eggshell finish in 1 of the HGTV colors. She told me she did not have it in satin finish, I told her for the second time I needed eggshell finish. She still said she did not have it. I went ahead and bought a gallon and gave her the color and told her for the 3rd time eggshell finish at which time she said ok and mixed my paint. I left the store with the paint not thinking I needed to check it and found out the next day she had given me a satin finish. Needless to say I was not happy but did not have time to go back and still get my painting done in the time frame I needed it done it. Therefore I had to repaint the entire bathroom since I could not touch up using the satin paint when eggshell was already on the wall. My first and probably last experience with the store in Hilo.

Go to another paint store. On two different occasions I bought quart paint samples of their paint colors then ordered a 5 gallon bucket and the colors did not match. The employees couldnt explain why this happened nor were they able to correctly match the color samples. They asked me what should they should do instead of fixing the problem themselves. This delayed our project and caused us a huge inconvenience. Not to mention my brand new house color is not the color that I wanted due to their negligence. Unfortunately it was too late for me to find a new color as this would have added additional costs to our project.In addition, Jace refused to help me find a new color and basically closed the door on me. I called first to ask what time they closed and Jace informed me that they were still opened. I arrive within 5 minutes and explained to Jace what had happened and gave him my paint samples. He made a futile attempt to help me find a new color and he did not offer me any suggestions. So I then asked him to compare my samples to the wheel of colors which should have been his obvious next step. He took out the color sample wheel then told me This is going to take a long time and we are now closed. He refused to help me any further although I arrived 10 minutes before closing and after he informed me by phone that the store was opened. Run to HPM... Hpm employees were so much more helpful and knowledgeable.
