Best game store in town. The owner Anthony is a real up standing proper business man. Seriously not enough space here to say all the good stuff about this place. Totally friendly and a great place to bring the family for a game night. Far cry from the stereo type Local game store I.E a den of smelly adults who play childrens games.

Visiting from Vermont and was welcomed in on our last night in Hawaii. We wish we had found this place sooner!Very inviting and there was 375+ games to play! People came and went and joined in on games or gave recommendations. Overall it was a great place and family friendly.Would highly recommend for board/card game lovers!

A very chill place with great atmosphere, great selection and good hours for those that want to hang out after work. BYOB is an added benefit!

What a welcoming game store. I have traveled around the US extensively and have visited many gaming shops, I have never felt as welcome as I did when we walked into Slow Your Roll, the store was packed having just finished a trivia night and still within a minute of entering I was greeted by chatting with the owner about Magic. Anthony has one hell of a nice spot and if you are in Hilo area it is definitely worth checking out! Mahalo!

Slow Your Roll is incredible. I am visiting from Minneapolis MN and noticed Slow Your Roll while walking around the neighborhood. Seeing a local game shop, I had to stop. This place is incredible for TCG, RPG and board games. The owner is very passionate about the local gaming community and is helping build the local gaming scene. Danger this boss rolls high charisma, speech, and bartering, he knows what you want and will sell it to you, he is damn good at what he does. I encourage all of my fellow traveling geeks to visit Slow Your Roll, you will not be disappointed.

One of the lesser known treasures of Hilo town local entertainment. The games available for play are clean and well maintained, the shop is well lit, and the employees are fun and welcoming. This is a great spot for a casual date or friends/family night with snacks, drinks, and even a BYO policy. They host lots of popular tabletop and card games like dungeons & dragons, Pokémon, and many more. The employees never hesitate to assist with game recommendations and rule explanations. With affordable daily/monthly/yearly memberships, I know I’ll be a regular here!!

This place is a gem of gems in Hilo. Having more inviting hangout spots like this to go with friends and family to chill and play games is sorely needed in Hilo; and Slow Your Roll really delivers on this. The owner and employees are all super welcoming and nice, and my experience with the patrons of the shop has always been great as well, with happy and friendly people there everytime Ive gone. The game selection is really expansive and the events are always extremely fun. Honestly I can only say amazing things.(*´︶`*)♡

I had a wonderful experience, finally a place for adults to enjoy games and meet more friends that are like minded. The establishment is also child friendly too! There was tons of things to buy board games card games and awesome singles (high end cards.).

A Gaming Lounge in Hilo upstairs above Kanpai in Downtown Hilo. A large selection of board games to play and meet new people. They also carry products for other popular card and tabletop games. A place worth checking out if you are in the area.
